Bombay Palace Restaurant in Northampton

Worst curry I've ever had! No flavour, we didn't even get poppadoms with big order! naan was awful with a garlic paste not fresh, rice was all mushy, utterly awful never again luckily I had a voucher to pay!

100% not value for money.. we paid £56 to feed the 3 of us.. portions were tiny compared to other indian takeaways in Northampton.. we tried it for the first time and what a disappointment.. we ordered macdonalds straight after as we were still hungry.. do not order from here.. you get better value for money practically everywhere else

I've been having meals from. here for a long, long time. Always been very happy, until my last one. I phoned the restaurant and ask if they had a new chef because my meal was unusually awful. The gentleman apologised and recognised that I was a regular customer. He promised I would get a call back to sort it. STILL WAITING. Really bad way to treat a regular

The veg tali was really good with exdlent taste, quality, amount and nice delivery man.

wasn't going to write a review, but order was late and no apologies, this still wasn't the issue. Food was cold, still wasn't the issue. I got told by the delivery driver the manager had said my order amount is too low they won't deliver to me again, unless it's more and my order will be refused if not. Surely there is a distance limit for the restaurant chose by THEM, there is a minimum spend limit set by THEM and there was 25% off tonight set by THEM. this is a YOU problem. won't order again.

Sadly not only was my food late but it was not hot almost lukewarm. Usually I give you 5 stars but I just couldn't based on this delivery. Also the Naga rice was more like an onion rice. I think a call to say it would be late would have been nice.

As usual the food was delicious, love your Naga curry and the Naga rice really makes a good accompaniment.

This is a new find for me, and I couldn’t be happier. The garlic naan in particular is a stand out. I also love the chicken tikka starter and the traditional madras. Will be ordering many more times!

Regular here usually but tonight had a takeaway rather than eating in. Always good food and great customer service.

basicly no free poppadoms or mango chutny like other places do.. to much sauce not enought chicken.. and the sheek kababs looked anaemic with no flavour.

I’ve had to process a refund for the order. It was practically inedible. It was definitely not a korma. I received a really watery weirdly spiced thing. With a few pieces of chicken cubes in. I had to order somewhere else for dinner as I wasn’t going to eat rice and naan. Really disappointed.

The food was absolutely amazing. I read a review about the Bombay potato’s and it was right - they were delicious. I’m pretty “boring” and only ever have a korma but honestly it was so good! Will happily be ordering from here again!

Absolutely loved this place it was our first time and we will definitely be going again. The food was delicious and I specifically loved the fact that the curry was not watery or oily it was perfect.

My prawn korma had tiny prawns such a shame I always use Bombay also the curry arrived with no chicken which is what I ordered

Amazing - such a lovely meal and place

Disappointed! Admittedly the food we received tasted fine however we were missing a portion of pilau rice which I can live with as it was a big order but two of the special curries we ordered were described with Chicken,lamb, and king prawns in and yet one curry contained a single king prawn and the other with no lamb or king prawns in sight. Such a shame as this tainted what could have been a great meal.

We always order from this place. Decided to order tonight and we’re left slightly disappointed which is a shame! We ordered two starters, no salad or sauces with these. No onions etc with our 99p per poppadom either! Such a shame

It was absolutely amazing bust curry place so far and amazing staff in the phone and amazing cooks, it means the world to me finding a decent curry place as my mum struggles with spice but really enjoys curry so we are glad we found you guys absolutely amazing food and always quick thank you for a wonderful experience always coming to Bombay Palace for a curry

One of Northampton's oldest Indian restaurants and well worth a visit. It is quite small and quiet the night we were there so atmospphere a bit lacking but more than made up by the food and friendly service. A big range of options available and it is a "Bring your own" drinks place so you can save a few pounds as well.

Food was really good and the service was excellent. Sorry for being so chaotic yesterday, we were a bit drunk aha.

Food was hot and enjoyable but unfortunately Bombay Palace forgot the pilau rice (only rice), which was a shame.

Food come 20 minutes early. Which would’ve been great had the food actually been nice. Lamb Bhoona, disgusting. Lamb was cooked ok but the curry itself was terrible. Butter chicken masala, horrible. Garlic Naan was soggy and tasted terrible. Poppadoms were stale and very bland. Ordered red sauce and mint sauce but instead got mint sauce and mango chutney, both of which were terrible. Very, very disappointed. Read good reviews which is why we ordered, but I’ll never order from here again.

Food was 20mins late compared to confirmed delivery time. Albeit being the other side of town, 1hr 20ish mins was fine. Friendly delivery, however we ordered 4 popedom's and none were delivered, unfortunately. Didnt call as couldnt ask for this to be delivered, albeit we're £4 out of pocket.

We had chicken tikka jawfrezi and chicken biriani. Both dishes were delicious. Service was great, thanks to Max, our waiter. Highly recommend to anyone with a desire for some reasonably priced, good quality Indian food.

Ordered 2x Mango kulfis for the kids. Got pistaccio which both can't eat. Left them disappointed. Food was OK. Shame. It spoilt the first impressions!
