Far Cotton Tandoori in Northampton

From my experience, the best curry’s in Northampton. Huge menu, reasonable priced and the food and the service is spot on every time. Delivery updates and huge smiles on arrival and food is always piping hot.

Had a curry with them tonight it was absolutely banging it came in about 20 to 30mins highly recommend

Ordered a meal for five adults all meals were very tasty and a dish that was not on the menu was made especially. Service was very good and we will continue to order from them in the future.

Great food at a reasonable price, a while ago it was a bit expensive. My dish tasted different, may be because of the regional cooking differences.

Delicious foods and great services also great price. Highly recommend try this place.

Something has definitely changed and the current proprietors need to bring back the previous chefs!! I've been ordering from FCT for approx 30 years. There was no Indian Takeaway in the country to match the quality and individuality of their dishes. Now, the food is not recognisable. Chicken Korma is tasteless chicken chunks in a thick sugary slop. Special Fried Rice had nothing special about it- plain rice with a bit of egg in it. Meat Dhansak was not the usual blend of sweet and sour - just a harsh sour taste. Peshwari Nan was smothered with a thick coconut paste. Vegetable curry was an oil bath with some veg swimming in it. In summary, DISGUSTING. I will not be going back and will definitely be sharing of my latest FCT experience with friends, family and anyone else who cares to listen.

Have been using these guys for over 30 years. Always provided a great service and the food is spot on. In my opinion better than some of the dine in restaurant’s elsewhere.

Always decent service My Madras was a hot one . Chicken in both Tikka main and madras was very good quality . The Tikka has changed over the past year for saffron tainted to slightly more red sauce and more cooked onions. My wife preferred the dryer saffron version.

Excellent food and service , one of the best curry's we've had , and we've had a few over the years . We live in Towcester where the takeaway food is not the best hence the reason to travel further afield for our treat , we're so glad that we did and will now make this our regular Curry House takeaway . Order twice and both times the food has been poorly packaged and spilt everywhere. Shame because the food was pretty good.

The best!! Love the food, know the menu inside out. Staff friendly and helpful & kitchen is clean and you see the staff cooking your food. Been coming here over 20 years. They cater for hot tastes, mild and veggies. Loads of regulars, which speaks volumes. Have had take away, delivery and via Just Eat. All great

i have been a regular customer for nearly 20 years, but disappointed that they changed the recipes. I had ordered set meal for 2, the vegetable curry has completely changed, this was one of my favourite, it is not pleasant to eat at all and disappointed so it was thrown away as couldn’t eat it. Watered down broccoli? Where is that gorgeous cabbage, carrot, chunky potatoes, mushrooms? Another favourite of mine, is the meat bhuna, it seems to taste more tomato-ish taste and the tikka masala is more sweeter. So I had gave them a private feedback as i did not want to rate the service for all public to see and hope to revert to the original recipes, and I was shocked to receive a laughing emoji like they don’t care about their customers so me, my fam and friends will never be ordering from them again! Its sad when business only want praise but cannot take constructive criticism!

Have been getting delicious food from Far Cotton Tandoori for many years now. Never disappointed.

Have been using Far Cotton Tandoori for over thirty years, just as good now as it was then. Can't be beaten.

Unfortunately until recently the food and service has been excellent but my last two orders have been wrong. Last visit I ordered a Bombay special curry only to find when I got home it was just a carton of Bombay potato. Very disappointing.

We have been going to the Far Cotton Tandoori nearly every week since 2006 it changed ownership about 2 year ago and the food did change, the sauce did not have the same depth but it is still good. We did try a few other places that were recommended but they were just not as good. The only thing I do miss they used to have a charcoal Tandoori oven which made the chicken taste great and the nans are not quite as good they use garlic oil instead of fresh garlic. Service / Delivery is always Great and the food is hot.

Arrived quickly and food was hot. Delivery guy was very polite. Food tasted great and of high quality. Will use again!

We had a delivery last night, the foods was delicious and very tasty. This was our first time but it won’t be the last time. The delivery was on time and driver was very polite.

Have used Far Cotton Tandoori since we moved here over 30 years ago. Food is always to the same high standard. Have never been disappointed. Even when we have received a dish that we didn’t order it has been nice. When told that we received something wrong they always added a little extra next time. Always welcomed with cheery service and a chat. We have tried other places over the years but haven’t found anywhere better.

Our meal arrived only 20 minutes late which was not a disaster as our friends were late as well. On checking the contents of our delivery we found that 2 of the starter were missing and one of the main dishes and a rice were also missing. I understand mistakes happen so rang FCT and let them know about the missing items to which the reply was “oh ok I will see what we can do” I reminded him that we had paid for a meal for 4 and only received half our order, they then said they would try and get the rest to us asap, unfortunately this took 30 minutes. Not very impressed with the attitude when mistakes were made, no responsibility no apology, very disappointing all round.

Had chicken Malaya last night the best I've ever had along with rice and pappodoms yum.

What happened? Came here to check if anyone else had experienced a change? Clear change of chef here. Been ordering from here for years and years. Probably since it opened. Only ever had others when at friends houses but always knew FCT was far superior. Something big has changed. Food was watery, CTM was bright red and full of colouring. Chicken pieces tiny. Something that stood them apart from the rest for many years. What a shame. If the chef has changed, go have a word and get their recipes back. Please!! All that said, food was pleasant. But nowhere near what it was before!!

Always delicious food, great service and friendly staff. Very good choice of dishes, sides and breads. Whether you're a meat eater or vegetarian, there's something for everyone.

Ordered from Far Cotton Tandoori for the first time tonight on a recommendation from a member of staff in the hotel I am staying. Absolutely fantastic!!!! Chicken bhuna and their pashweri naan was delicious. 10 stars hands down!!! Well recommend, so delicious,brilliant price,fast delivery and really nice friendly delivery driver. Professional service, amazing food, a must try to appreciate the experience.

We have been a customer for years as the food and service were so good. Unfortunately our last two orders have been very disappointing. Curries have been tasteless and side dishes overcooked. Requests for increased spice, stated as available in the menu, were ignored. Long waiting times at the weekend are expected and we were told approx wait was an hour but when collecting our order the place was chaotic. Its a shame as the staff are so friendly but we will be going elsewhere for our weekend curry

Probably 1 of the worst curries I've ever tried. Ordered a butter chicken - tasteless so bland I threw it in the bin and went to mcdonalds. Never again.

The service and food are excellent- the owners and staff are so helpful and professional and the food is perfect every time.

Used to be really good but gone seriously downhill. Ordered a few weeks ago and took 3.5 hours to receive food. Rang several times and kept being told was on the way, turns out had actually been delivered to the wrong house so person on the phone had been lying to me, they were also very rude. Gave them another chance tonight, food took 2 hours to arrive, rang and was told just left, rang 30 minutes later and was told food about to leave, so was lied to again. Food was cold when arrived. Will not be using again.

Call or order online either pre-opening to ensure food arrives as early as possible, as my wife is disabled & her carers come to take her to bed @7.30pm. so many times now, delivery has been anything between 1- 2.5hrs late. Called several times, told it's on its way, but arrives ridiculously late, too late for my wife. Whilst the food is usually good, service is so poor, I won't be ordering ever again after being let down too many times. The food is ok but expensive, add that to the bad service, no thumbs up from me any more. Bye, you've lost a long standing & loyal customer 😕

We've used Far Cotton Tandoori a few times and it's always been great. Friendly service, delicious food and great portions. Some of the best naan breads I've had from a takeaway!

Food was ok, when it arrived. Took over 2 hours for a delivery. We ordered for a big group (10). When the food arrived 4 dishes were missing. We were told a refund would be issued but when we messaged our bank details we were ignored. If you have no other option this place is ok.

Food took over 2 hours to deliver 15mins away from the restaurant. When it did turn up lots of it was cold. Some of us got the wrong meats in our orders. Overall really poor.

Decided to give this place a try tonight. Customer service was impeccable and they apologized for the time it took- which was less than an hour after ordering it arrived at my house 😂 so was really good time anyway. The food was tasty af. We had a lamb korai and chicken dakna (?) as mains. Both super nice and the thick sauce in the lamb dish was very flavoursome. Chicken one thankfully you could actually taste the garlic 🤤 Portion sizes good. Will order from here again.

delivery was later than advised when order was place quoted 30 to 45 minutes at time of ordering the order arrived an hour and 15 minutes after it was place. there where items missing when the order was delivered. food was good just let down by service

Tasteless, watery and all three dishes tasted the same. Lack of flavour. Never again, poor. service was terrible. Why give you a time to pick up, you get there, have paid online and they haven't even started cooking. No apologies. definitely never again, not like it used to be.

Amazing food every time, never fails

Not good tonight and that’s a real shame. Food was over an hour late, poppadums were missing and the Tarka Dahl was very poor quality (undercooked and far too watery). We are going to order from elsewhere next time. I’ve been using Far Cotton Tandoori for over 20 years and this isn’t the first time that problems have occurred recently.

Tried the special fried rice for a change and it was perfect. Always tasty and good quality food

Poor quality, delivery was not to front door even though I’m disabled. All raita,mango chutney etc was tipped over in bag. Expensive and not very good,

Amazing food, brilliant service, very friendly delivery driver and got our food to us early than expected which was perfect as I ordered it to come as soon as possible. Will definitely order again.
