It is a great place to eat good fish and seafood. The service is professional, fast and not intrusive. It is an expensive restaurant, in London we all know that the prices are not cheap, but for a celebration or special occasion, I definitely recommend it.

Exactly what you are expecting from a very high end restaurant in Mayfair

It is an expensive restaurant, but classic and elegant, which does not prevent the service from being very pleasant and friendly. Everything we tried was delicious.

A special gratitude to Mr. Lyall, & Mis, Lila for his distinguished service and his dedication in taking care of our table. The place itself is very much kind and welcoming you at the gate. I totally recommend it for people dose appreciate the service and have a god taste in food.

Wow that was a memorable experience.

Loved this place. Food was exceptional. Champagne served, on point. Every dish was presented beautifully , quality was second to none and the taste. Wow! I savoured every bit, Well this was now my favourite place. The service was also good, however they are strict on time. Place is in Mayfair so was filled with spoilt wealthy people who know good food. What can I say. Special occasions kind of place and difficult to get a table at peak times.

Terrible service and terrible food, it used to be our go to place but no longer the case until they offer their staff proper training.

First time dining in here. The foods are really well cooked and tasty. I would recommend deep-fried oyster for starter & dover sole meunier for main. And to finish it up with bakewell puding for dessert. On the downside, the table can be very near to each other and the waiters can be quite busy. Very recommended place to have lunch if you’re in London.

Food is fabulous. Service to solo diners disappointing. Had to ask for drinks, had to ask for service, wine ordered not delivered, feels like solo diners a nuisance. Not worth the expenditure if looking for great service. Also asked if fish was deboned etc and told yes but was not. Just little things that say we take you for granted. Food is awesome but you need to be prepared to be treated unfavourably for the experience

Very classy and elegant interiors located in a fabulous area at Knightsbridge. It is definitely pricey but the food was really good. Service was good but could be a tad better, maybe I didn't look wealthy enough to be there. Nonetheless, worth a try in this historic restaurant.

Nobody does it better. The finest seafood, the most immaculate service and a celebrity every day. The outside tables are the best.

I needed to get a birthday reservation for Scott’s (October 2024) at a reasonable time. Telephoned Amex Concierge (24/09/2024) and apparently Scott’s isn’t on their preferred restaurant list 🤔 seriously!!! Rang Scott’s direct and Connie fully understood my predicament and ensured the birthday request was fulfilled. Having been to Scott’s previously a number of times I know the food will be amazing and I’m eternally grateful to Connie for accommodating my request. The best 👍🏻

Enjoyed lunch at this very traditional restaurant. The service was excellent after a bit of a slow start (which was made up for by a nice glass of champagne), and the food was very tasteful.

Excellent food and staff friendly and helpful. Only down side - being a Saturday night very busy and noisy. Service was quite slow too. Very difficult to hail a taxi.

Scott's is a total gem! The location in Mayfair is super swanky, and you can spot some seriously cool cars cruising by while you're chowing down. The service is top-notch, and the food is a masterpiece. I've tried countless fish and chips spots in London, but Scott's takes the cake. Their sea bass and tuna ceviche are to die for! Don't forget to save room for the salted caramel chocolate fondant - it's the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. And if you're lucky enough to snag an outdoor table, you're in for a real treat. It's the perfect spot to people-watch, sport cars and soak up the Mayfair vibe.

A perfect meal for a wedding anniversary, sometimes when a place has a famous reputation it never feels worth the money but this is not the case here. This is the best seafood I have ever eaten with every mouthful being perfectly cooked and balanced with flavour. We had the octopus carpaccio which is extremely good value and the scallops were perfectly cooked with a lovely sauce. For mains we had cod and Sea bass with aubergine and potatoes. Every single item was lovely even though I am not usually a sea bass fan. We just about managed some sorbet, the coconut and lime is best. The atmosphere is amazing, it is both busy and sociable but not crowded. The service is also impeccable, never waited more than a second or had to ask for anything however it was not rushed. Not cheap (to be expected) however for its reputation, quality and location I felt that 280 including the above and a bottle of champagne was "good value" . Will certainly come back.

I recently visited Scott's, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. When I kindly asked the waiter to bring some tissues, he responded in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner by saying, “Do you want me to blow your nose?” This level of disrespect towards customers is unacceptable and left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I expect better service when dining out, and this experience has certainly made me rethink ever returning to this restaurant. I would recommend others to reconsider before choosing this place, as good service is a key part of a pleasant dining experience, and Scott's has failed in that regard.

A wonderful dining experience. Our only concern was in their "team approach" to servicing your table. With 4+ servers, one doesn't know what the other is doing resulting in serving challenges like delivering the wrong dessert, forgetting a coffee and drink ordered, etc. Aside from that, a wonderful restaurant.

I’m sad to see how this place has lost all its charm and warmth. I used to go there all the time when I lived in Mayfair (until about 3 years ago). I lived round the corner and I would pop in the spur of the moment, and they would give me and my husband a table outside, and it was so charming and cozy. Today I phoned to book a table outside and the front desk staff made me feel like I was requesting a meeting with the King. They said “at 1pm we can’t give you a table outside but at 2.30pm it would be OK”. That didn’t particularly suit me, but I said OK, let’s do it. Then she backtracked to say “but we can’t guarantee it”. I wasn’t too keen. Then she said “let me ask the maitre d’”. After a pause she came back to the phone and said “yes at 2.30 it’s ok”. At 1pm, I passed by with the car and I noticed there were 2 empty tables outside. Never mind. When we came at 2.30pm we were sat indoors, in a very noisy corner next to extremely loud people. There were still empty tables outside. I was told that a table outside was out of the question as there were more than 40 requests. Really? Then why was I told that I could have a table outside if I came later at 2.30pm? Can the front staff stop playing these games and speak frankly and normally? It makes one feel unwanted and as if I was reaching for the stars just for requesting a table outside. I feel no warmth and kindness from the reception staff, which is very sad because it used to be very much the opposite. UPDATE: the manager’s response doesn’t inspire confidence to give them another chance. Clearly the reservations for outside tables are out of control. Either people don’t show up or don’t adhere to the times. Otherwise it’s inexplicable why they have empty tables. They should refuse bookings for outside tables and give them on a first come first served basis.

The guy at the reception was very rude and racist. I believe his name is Ronnand. I won't come again nor recommend it to anyone because of the bad treatment

Mediocre, a good meal if it was reasonably priced as a high street restaurant, but at the very top end prices they charge you expect the best, and it was just nowhere near the best. Dining out on its reputation it seems!

Wonderful dining experience at Scott's! The food was superb, the drinks were very good, and the attention to detail from service was above and beyond. We were very well cared for from beginning to end. There is a very good range on the wine list with some very approachable affordable wines by the glass/carafe, as well as some more special stuff by the bottle. Price is of course high but felt fair for the experience.

Amazing the best fish restaurant in town!

Excellent menu, mouth watering flavours, especially the Dover sole. Waiter asked for the table back even though we were waiting over 20 minutes for a final round of drinks, 3rd time this has happened.

An iconic London restaurant. Very good service, friendly and efficient. Very healthy food, excellent oysters. A place to return to when stepping foot in London.

I went to London for a work trip and specially found a restaurant with an authentic British atmosphere to celebrate my birthday. The decoration of the restaurant has a high-end feel, and the reception service is friendly, thoughtful and proactive. They patiently explain the menu and actively promote various fresh options. From this, we learned that the store has a history of nearly 200 years and started as an oyster shop. The environment is relaxed and comfortable, the wine is fragrant, and the food tastes top-notch. The baked lobster has a strong sauce aroma, the meat is fresh and has a smooth texture. It is definitely worth trying again and again.

Quite simply the best lunch I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable, food simply delicious and the wine was perfect. Yes it’s expensive but it’s worth every penny. The staff make the experience magnificent with great humour and discreet service. We had our table for over 2.5 hours, there was no rush and we felt very relaxed. We will definitely be back!

Highlight meal of our trip! We went to Scott’s on a recommendation and it did not disappoint! We were treated like royalty from start to finish. I don’t think anything on the menu would disappoint, but we chose the dressed crab for an appetizer, salad, the Seabass was the best I’ve ever had, and the honeycomb ice cream I would go back for every time. They have an extensive wine list that was delightful. We chose to sit on the terrace, which is in the front of the restaurant, but each little table feels like you are in your own private garden. It is on the street, but it was good people (and high end car) watching. They do have a “guard” so to speak so as no patrons are bothered by anyone from the street (there was a lady that wanted to sell something and he would not let her come near the tables.) What a fabulous experience I am so glad that we went!

Always an incredible experience at Scott's! I've been for both lunch and dinner, sat indoors and outdoors, the ambience, service, and food never fail to impress. Great way to spend an afternoon people watching. Oysters and razor clams were my highlights.

I have a passion for lobster thermidor- and Scott’s deservedly has the reputation for the best expression of this dish in the whole of London. The food was sublime. The service was passable, but not worth what you pay. What blew me away was the markup on the wine. We selected a very nice bottle of Chablis for £170. We liked it a lot and looked it up when we got home. The retail price is £21 for this bottle - making their markup somewhere around 800% on retail (and Scott’s will have paid wholesale for it). The usual restaurant markup on wine is 300% to retail. I am horrified that Scott’s are ripping off their customers to this extent, and frankly you can go elsewhere for less money, get better service and good quality food.

We treated ourselves to dinner at Scott's on our last night in London and were not disappointed. We made reservations and, then because of a mix up on their end they let us know that had to be changed. They contacted us promptly regarding the need to change and were able to accommodate us on another night. Their communication was clear and they kindly brought us two on-the-house glasses of champagne. All the staff were very welcoming and our waiter did a great job. We thoroughly enjoyed our selections (loved the griddled shrimp) and I was very happy to get a lobster thermidor as a half size. We also had a lovely little desert/drink--the gin spritzer sorbet. Very unique. Kudos to the organization and staff for a delicious meal in an elegant and inviting atmosphere!

I visited this restaurant on 07/08/24 taking a client for dinner. This has seriously got to be the BEST restaurant in London! Everything was flawless - the location, the elegant decor, the sparkling atmosphere and ambience and the food was fabulous - wonderful ingredients expertly cooked to perfection! We had the cod and halibut with spinach and mash sides. The first class service was warm friendly and was key to making the experience so perfect. It's such a great restaurant that I made a reservation to go back tonight with my family to celebrate a birthday.

Always great to eat at this London institution- a true gem in Mayfair. The service is great and fresh fish is exceptional.

What can you say about Scotts, except it is the most wonderful place. Of course, they charge an arm and a leg, but occasionally it is worth it. I had tempura prawns, Dover sole, and pavlova and my wife had tempura prawns, scallops and pavlova. Everything was fantastic, including the service.

The restaurant is one of the old restaurants in London. The food is very delicious 👌🏼 and the service is excellent. Advance reservations are required.

There is always a danger that complacency somehow sets in Overall, it's still a great place to dine. Long may it remain preserved

This is the best restaurant in London hands down. Always perfect service, always welcoming and kind. I have been multiple times now and can say it’s the best choice for amazing food and atmosphere under one roof in London.

I recently visited Scott's Restaurant and was utterly appalled by the treatment I received at the reception. From the moment I walked in, the attitude of the staff was shockingly rude and dismissive. When I expressed my concerns about the seating arrangements, instead of offering any alternatives or trying to accommodate my needs, the receptionist bluntly told me that if I didn't like it, I should have booked a month ago. To make matters worse, we were given a table directly in front of the sun with no umbrella or shade provided. It felt like eating at the beach, which is hardly the experience we were hoping for. This level of disrespect and lack of customer service is completely unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that claims to be reputable. I will not be returning to Scott's, and I advise anyone considering dining here to think twice. Customer service should be a priority, and at Scott's, it seems to be nonexistent.

Absolutely right for a wedding lunch

I booked this place for a business meeting with 7 people in a private dining room and had an amazing experience. The service was impeccable, the art and decor were stunning, and the food and drinks were super tasty.

I made a reservation several weeks in advance to have dinner at Scott's during a visit to London. Despite having a very early reservation at 6:15 pm, since I was dining alone, I was pushed into eating at the bar. The experience was unpleasant. The bar is uncomfortable, and I was placed immediately next to a couple who were having a bit of a party and making a lot of noise, which I suppose one expects at a bar. But I wanted to enjoy a high quality. relaxing dining experience, and that did not occur. I forget how much by dinner was in pounds, but in US dollars, I spent $165 for an uncomfortable dinner. When I went to Langan's earlier in the trip, I had a lovely experience with an actual table.

Beautiful restaurant and lovely staff

You can tell there's a slight change in quality from the staff and the food. It's not quite the way it used to be. Obviously, times are hard and cutbacks are needed, but this place used to thrive and can be back to how it used to be. They've just got to step it up a notch or two. Still good. . But it was nothing like it used to be.

We’re from New York, we dine out a lot all over the world and love incredible food both high end and cheap food. Never have we been so badly treated from the walking in the door to at the table - we spent a lot, yet our waiter was so condescending “you do know you need to wash your fingers in that not drink it!” When we ordered oysters lol didn’t ask us for dessert, didn’t serve us quick enough - and to top it off, fish was so dry and - THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE A STEAK!!! Please, if you don’t like pretentious places and value high quality food, do not go here. It’s a tacky place that’s focused on class and race - high quality people and foodies shouldn’t go here. What’s crazy is in NYC you’d never get that experience even at the highest end establishments.

Expensive, nothing special, heritage tomatoes where a mixture of yellow and red cherry tomatoes with water soaked red onion slices, that is not heritage tomato salad as far as I'm concerned. The waiter did not know what was HP sauce for my chips. The service was good.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately we did not have a great experience with the service. Once our food arrived, we felt completely forgotten about… no one saw to us about our needs at all. We were willing to order another round of drinks, but no one ever checked on us. We decided to skip post dinner drinks and dessert and just get the check. Very disappointed, as this restaurant came highly recommended to us by friends and we were very much looking forward to this reservation during our trip. For the cost, we just expected to be taken care of a little more.

The resturant offers an incredible dining experience with an atmosphere that’s perfect for dinner. The restaurant is always bustling, so booking is definitely required. While the waiters could be friendlier, the food more than makes up for it. The grilled fish (variety of freshly catch of the day fish) and oysters are absolute must-tries, served fresh and bursting with flavor. The mixed platter of oysters, featuring both local and international varieties, is outstanding, and the salads are equally impressive. Seared Scallops is the comeback dish, dont miss it. Despite the crowd and service, the overall experience is fantastic and well worth a visit.

Lunch over bank holiday - was very busy and buzzy without feeling over crowded. Food was exceptional - loved everything - lovely service and all of the staff were so attentive - will certainly be back!

Rented the private dining Renoir room for a business meeting. Splendid decor and service all around. Food is absolutely amazing, recommend the lobster thermidor cooked in Hollandaise sauce. Drink selection is aplenty with nice tea and coffee selections after your meal. Staff are friendly and greeted us discreetly as expected.

The food was delicious and the service was pretty good but slow, however, the manager with curly long hair was forcing us to pay the service charge, despite the fact that it is OPTIONAL, although I told him I don’t want to and I asked him to bring the machine to pay the amount without service charge but he brought the receipt with the service charge. It was my first visit and he gave me a very bad impression 👎🏼

The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is friendly from the door man to the waitresses. Everyone works seamlessly in coordination. The waitress was knowledgeable and could give us more in depth of the dishes and the wine that we ordered. The food it was tasty and nicely cooked. I did love the Octopus Carpaccio as starter. Everything else was good. I do recommend the restaurant especially because the service it was on point.
