Amazing fish and chips in the middle of everything

A great discovery! We really enjoyed ourselves: the fish was fresh and delicious, perfectly cooked. Fast and efficient service, with a very friendly waiter and a super friendly cook. A local place to stop for a great meal! I will definitely come back!

The portion was large and the fries were crispy and delicious!! The store staff are friendly and it's close to the station so it's easily accessible!!

I have read on internet about that place and came. Everything was fine and delicious(fish). The only down for me is they don't have beer 🙁 They explained me the reason for not having alcohol but but but... The people there are with smile and very kind.

More tourist spot from my point of view… Atmosphere not so inviting and service not more than “normal”. Cola from plastic bottles... Food was okay, but the fries could have been crispier. In my opinion, the price is steep even for London. 2x fish & chips and 2 drinks for 60€

Got there for a plate of fish and chips. The fish and chips themselves are great. But at this price point, being served with a ready made tartar sauce from Heinz, instead of the ones made in house is a bit of a let down.

It’s an ok spot for “fish and chips” and is definitely tourist trap lol. Not worth the price tbh. It may just be my American taste bud but their fries (chips) needed a lot more salt and pepper to it - I had to shake it up on top of the ketchup to make it worthwhile.

It was my first time in London and I was looking for the typical English experience, eating fish and chips at least once during my trip and I definitely got to experience this at Fishcotheque! The service was amazing , (shout out to Nick:)), the ambiente is nice and the food was delicious as well as the dessert and I liked that we got our drinks in the size of 500ml bottles. The service was amazing and the food was done very quickly. The cod fish and chips tasted really great and we could experience the traditional english food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really cozy and people from all around the world come here. Would definitely recommend!!

We were in search for fish and chips around the Eye of London and it was a good last minute find. From the original section we got the cod, and we got the fish sandwich. The dish came with fries and once big pieces of fried fish, tartar sauce and lemon wedge. The fish was very flakey, perfectly cooked through, but a bit under seasoned. But with a bit salt and lemon squeeze, it was very good. The sandwich was also very good. The service was VERY prompt -our total time from ordering to checking out was about 30mins total! Overall a good fish chips joint!

Absolute insider tip! Don't be put off by the small entrance, you'll find a seat after a short wait. The wait is worth it. Of course the originals are the must-have.

We had fish and chips here after a day out in London. We have eaten here before and the food has always been fresh and hit. We sat in their restaurant this time, they have quite a few tables. We got a table straight away. The waitress was very friendly. We both had fish and chips, I had cod and my husband had rock. We got a free salad we our meal, which was so fresh it tasted very good. Our fish was very good, lots of chips, tartare sauce is included with other condiments in the table. We will definite eat here again. It’s London prices, but you expect food to be more e pensive if you are eating out up London.

A highly recommended place if you want to eat Fish and chips in London. It is a more local restaurant and not the typical food chain that tends to be more touristy and close to the London eye area. Completely homemade, you see how they prepare it there and it is very delicious. He Wonderful service and very good quality-price ratio.

We went to try the typical Fish&Chips. Everything delicious and friendly service, but somewhat expensive prices. 2 portions with 2 Coca-Colas cost €56 (€28 per person).

Eaten plenty of pie and chips in my time!!! I will honestly say these are definitely up the top with quality, quantity, polite efficient service and above all amazing taste. But go and find them and try for yourself. Eat in or takeaway. We came away truly impressed. Both had pie and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce finished with a nice mug of tea. Thank you.

We stayed here on our trip to London because fish & chips was a MUST for us. The food is super tasty, the fish is fresh and breaded on site. The chips are crispy and fluffy on the inside, just the way I like them. The staff is super friendly and we were able to have a good, friendly chat with them. As one of the previous speakers already mentioned, the atmosphere is more like a snack bar, so if you're expecting candlelight and violin music, you're in the wrong place.

Pretty good fish & chips but not the best I’ve had in London (especially the chips, they were more like potatoes than chips). Service is SUPER fast though and the staff is nice! My friend and I split the large haddock — plenty for two people!

A few months ago I went with my partner during our getaway to London. We didn't book and we didn't have any problems. Good food and very friendly staff. If we return to London, we will return to Fishcotheque.

One of the worst restaurants I tried from the day I came to the UK. It was the first time for me and my friends to try the famous fish and cheeps and it was very bad and I don’t think we’ll ever try it again.

Stopped in for dinner with a part of eleven. This is the second time I visited. First time was the last time I was in London back in 2022. I had recalled having an excellent experience. So when I came back to London, I made it a point to revisit. I have to say they did not disappoint. We had a large party, most got the cod and one of us got the haddock, a few got sandwiches, fish, chicken and even a burger. The service was excellent, the server was polite, professional and efficient. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have an enjoyable meal of fish and chips along with top notch service.

It's pretty mediocre, you can get much better fish and chips elsewhere (although admittedly there are very few places in London where it's really good) For tourists if you're desperate to try fish and chips then this place is okay if you've only got a few days in the UK (whatever you do, do not get "fish and chips" from a pub or restaurant - they will absolutely ruin it). But otherwise, it's not great. The chips were a bit dry and the fish and its batter was overcooked. Nearly £30 for fish and chips + mushy peas + a cup of tea, which is a lot even in 2024.

Had to visit this place for authentic English fish and chips. It was completely worth it and the staff were great. I ordered cod and chips to go and was not disappointed. The fish was crunchy and flaky with golden brown fried chips to complement. With tartar sauce on my cod and malt vinegar with salt on my chips along with a glass of Guinness, thank you guys for I was in gastro-heaven. Please come and open in NYC. We definitely need a true English fish and chips place.

After a day of exploring London my family and I decided to try some traditional fish and chips. This restaurant was highly recommended so we decided to check it out and it was a 5 minute walk from London Eye. The service was excellent. The portions are great. There were 3 of us and we tried the cod, rock, and haddock. All 3 were amazing. The owner took time out of his schedule and conversed with us. Definitely a great experience and if we have time we will visit again
