Fishcotheque in City of London, Westminster

I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic, delicious, traditional fish and chips! It's such a great little spot with a warm atmosphere! We will definitely go again because one visit just can't capture all the Deliciousness ☺️

I came here with the suggestion of my friend and really appreciated him for his suggestion. Food, service and the atmosphere are really, especially fish and chips, perfect. With the atmosphere, I felt at my home. Thanks to all staff for their perfect service. And, the big applause to the owner the Fishcotheque Mr. İlker for his warm hospitality…I strictly suggest Fishcotheque…

The owner, Mr. İlker, is very attentive and the food is the best I have had in England. It is a place you should definitely try when you come because of its central location.

The staff are all friendly and the food is delicious. I visited here 3 years ago and will visit again. 😍 The portions are large. There are many people who eat alone, families come to eat, and tourists also come often.

Batter was fried to perfection and crispy, fish was tender and flaked immediately when cut, easily one of the best fish and chips I’ve tasted!

Cod fish and chips were lovely and calamari was nice more than expected! Recommend to try if you visit around here. The original fish and chips are delicious, but I recommend ordering the calamari squid and coleslaw as a side.

It was so good taste!!! Crispy outside but gooey inside with great salty. I think its better than po**** And then nice server One of my regrets is there is no beer,,

I visited here because it said on Google reviews that it was friendly to Koreans… . First of all, unlike other customers, they didn’t explain the food, so it was a bit harsh, and as expected, when I asked for a receipt, they didn’t give it to me and when I was leaving, they suddenly said something about the internet and that they only accept cash ^^ (I saw other people paying with cards) When I kept saying I didn’t have cash, they eventually paid me and threw the receipt at me. Honestly, the food was delicious (don’t eat the hamburger, it’s not that good), but the service was the worst, and because of that, I thought all British people were this unfriendly, but since I’ve met many friendly people in other places, I realized that this place is the only strange one ^^

We would like to thank Bekir Bey and Barış Bey for their interest and smiling faces. The fish and chips we ate were very fresh and delicious. A restaurant we will come back to again.

The staff is very kind and even if I don't speak English, they kindly teach me, so I learn new words~!! Since I was Korean, they spoke Korean and the food was plentiful and delicious, but they were so friendly that it was even better!!😘 The first Fish App Chips were a success! However, it is a bit expensive.

My first fish and chips and we had a great time. There was no problem finding a table for eight people, although the place is not large and they cannot complain about the lack of customers. The food was great, the service was also very helpful.

I went there because it was close to my accommodation. There are 3 people and we added onion rings to one Haddock. I ate it and it was a lot, and when I told the kitchen I was from Korea, they greeted me in Korean 👍 The food was plentiful and delicious.

I’m giving 3 stars only because of the fish. The waiter was not as friendly as we expected. I ordered fish with salad, but they brought a Turkish-style salad with too many tomatoes, which I couldn’t eat. When they asked if everything was okay, I mentioned it was a Turkish salad, and the server cheekily replied, “Yeah, the owner is from Turkey. That’s how it’s served in India too.” How are we supposed to know that in London, the fish is served with a Turkish salad just because the owner is from Turkey? Sorry, but not everyone knows that. I told them they should label it as a Turkish-Indian salad, because not everyone likes that style.

Fish was very good, but the fries were very dull. Tasteless and not that crispy.

Fantastic fish & chips! The fish was freshly fried, crispy, and full of flavor. Chips were just right—crunchy outside, soft inside. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The fun 90s music playing in the background added a great vibe. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a visit.

Great place for fish and chips. The food tastes fresh and yummy. There's plenty of seating and attentive servers. Pleasant playlist of Sinatra-era music. Convenient location for a visit to Tate Modern or the National Theatre.

It was a dinner we enjoyed. We ate “Cod” and “Fish Burger”. Taste-wise, they were one of the best ones I've eaten in England. In addition to the taste, the service was very good, so I would like to thank Nick especially.

A small unassuming restaurant and takeaway under a railway arch. Do not miss it!! I first came here about 45 years ago, unfortunately, since moving out of London, I have not been for a while. What a treat to return! Some of the best fish and chips you will get anywhere, and a great price as well. If you’re in London , make this a place to visit.

Popped into Fishcoteque recently and had an amazing experience! The fish & chips were absolutely delicious! Perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The vibe of the place was super chill and great for hanging out with friends. Big shoutout to my friend Barış who works there he was so friendly and attentive, made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend checking this place out, I’ll be back for sure!

Amazing fish and chips! The fish was so fresh ! Nic our waiter was great, he had good suggestions . I had a salad instead of chips and it was delicious. Definitely recommend this hole in the wall restaurant. We had the cod and our friend had the haddock, loved both , the haddock was a firmer white fish but neither was fishy.

Such a gem! The fish was fresh, the server, Nick, was delightful! It was out of our way but so worth the walk.

We found ourselves here by chance. Nick welcomed us, super kind and welcoming. Recommended the fish & chips. We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday here, and Nicks organized a surprise for us! The dessert was offered by him. Everything was excellent.

Myself and hubby had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, fish just melted in your mouth!!! Tried the battered mars bar too, different but very nice too. Staff were so friendly especially the guy who was the owner, couldn't do enough for you and chatted to us for a while too. Will definitely return on our next visit to London 😀😀

We shared fish&chips that was veeeerrrrryyy good in a typical atmosphere.

Very expensive, some of the fish was not cooked through, the fries were a huge portion and not tasty.

Everything was fantastic and the waiter who served us was very friendly, Elric: A 10!!

Fish and chips, traditional here in England. It was delicious and that sounds simple but they have their style, it includes a tartar sauce, lemon for the fish, there is ketchup and they usually put vinegar and salt on the potatoes (the guy who served me explained the traditional way of eating it). Friendly staff.

Nice combination of a chip shop and a restaurant. A fish and chips bistro. Haf some cod and the burgers were nice too. Service was great.

Had some delicious beef and onion pie with chips. Service was nice, food was tasty what could you want more? Small minus for the trains closeby, but the food makes up for that.

Great atmosphere great food, it was just what i was exspecting from a original fish and chips. And the room styling is just amazing like it take you back in time. One little thing and just a little thing is it would have been nice if we where told how to eat the fish correctly from the begining we didnt know about the vinegar trick. But else it is top, go there and try for your self

We come every time we visit London, the food is great, the fish very fresh, the fries homemade and the staff really very pleasant! The decor and musical atmosphere is a little retro and colorful, we love it!

We went with my wife to try fish and chips, and when we saw sticky toffe pudding on the menu, we wanted to try it too. We were very pleased with both. The waiters were also very friendly. We plan to stop by again next time we come to England.

Amazing fish and burgers very pleased with service

Super helpful and kind staff, they made me feel at ease straight away, also due to my allergy (which they were very careful about). I had a burger with fried chicken and chips: really tasty and well done. My partner was also satisfied with her fried cod burger. It's a perfect place if you want to eat something good, quick and without complications. I would happily go back for an easy lunch.

Avoid, not representative of “Fish and Chips” Chips were awful, crunchy and stale. Felt old. Waiting 15 min for them to cook expected them to be fresh. Fish batter was too thick making the fish soggy inside. Came here last about 12 years ago, used to come all the time. Really disappointed what’s happened to it.
