The restaurant has all the fresh seafood displayed out front, so you can see what you’re getting. The table setup was simple. We started with the quinoa salad (3/5) and tuna carpaccio (2.5/5). The tuna was fresh, but the sauce was way too salty for me—pretty sure they used fish sauce. For mains, we had the seafood & samphire linguine (5/5) the seafood grill (3.5/5), and the veganesca linguine (5/5). The seafood pasta had a lot volume, and I really enjoyed it. Just wish I had asked for parmigiano since they don’t offer it. The seafood grill came with a scallop that I wasn’t a fan of because it had breadcrumbs on top, the prawns were decent, and the fillets were fresh and full of flavor. Thankfully, they were nicely salted. The veganesca linguine was freshly made, and the nuts added a nice crunch. For dessert, we got the brownie with ice cream (5/5) —it was perfect, gone in seconds. As for drinks, we went with juices since we don’t drink alcohol. They weren’t freshly made, but we didn’t really mind. The staff were attentive, but the restaurant can get really busy and loud. Overall, I’d recommend it!

I have visited Fishwork multiple times, and unfortunately, this time the fish & chips did not meet the usual high standards I have come to expect. It was too oily, whereas the batter is normally light, crispy, and not greasy. Of course, an off night can happen, but I encourage you to keep an eye on quality and maintain the excellent level you usually offer.

Fishworks is definitely my Number 1 seafood restaurant in London. I had dinner with my niece and, as always, it was an amazing experience. She had the deboned Dover sole and I had the Seafood Bouillabaisse. We also shared starters of mussels, bread, olives and grilled shrimps. Exquisite! This small, intimate and lovely place continues to deliver the freshest, tastiest, healthiest fish and seafood in town. The staff are outstanding, the food is excellent, the wine list is robust and the ambience is exceptional. A wonderful restaurant that is Top rated. Thank you for the pleasure you provide us with your service, your meals and your offerings. We will definitely keep coming back.

It was my first visit in 8 years since 2017, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. This cozy restaurant has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to enjoy a clean, seafood-focused meal when you're feeling a bit tired of meat dishes. The mussel stew, prawn dishes, and bread were all delicious. The wine list was also quite impressive. I’ll definitely visit again on my next trip to London!

Relaxed dinner at Fishworks for catchup. We all enjoyed our meals - I went for the Christmas menu which had a great selection of starters and mains. I chose the scallops and salmon. The salmon in particular was delicious and the portion was good. A good value set menu. Although members of the group were late, the staff struck the right level of attention and came over to ask newly arrived people what they'd like to drink. We were not rushed and were left to order and settle up at our own pace. I'd like to return again soon for the festive menu.

We tried the FishWorks Tasting Platter for two (£90), and it was absolutely worth it. This three-tiered masterpiece was a true showcase of the sea’s best. Starting at the top, the crispy fried fish and samphire were a deliciously light way to kick things off – perfectly seasoned with a satisfying crunch. On the second tier, the grilled fillets of sea bass, wild prawns, scallops, and sea bream were tender and fresh, each one bursting with flavour. You could taste the quality of the seafood with every bite. Finally, the base tier was an indulgent spread of oysters, mussels, clams, Devon crab, and crevettes on ice – all wonderfully fresh and chilled to perfection. The oysters in particular were briny and smooth, a real treat for oyster lovers. Overall, the tasting platter was a generous and well-curated selection that felt worth every penny. FishWorks does seafood beautifully, creating a memorable experience for any seafood lover!

Food and service were excellent. However we had a number of discrepancies on our bill. My wife had three courses off the main a la carte menu whilst I had the set price Christmas menu (+£5 supplement for Halibut). When the bill arrived, my 3 courses were charged at prices off the main a la carte menu - a total of £66.2 making a total go £158.70 to which was added a service charge of £19.84, ie 12.5% of £178.54. (My wives choices were priced correctly) I advised the waiter politely that there was an error. After checking, the waiter advised that there had been an error an a a correction of £18.20 was applied - I and an amendment of £18.20 was applied. However, the difference in price between the set menu and the prices of the a la carte menu should have been £24.20. Further the service charge was left unchanged at £19.84 which after some other more minor discrepancies left a bill of £154.71 which I settled yesterday evening. However, when checking the bill, the price of the meal should have been £134.50 to which a service charge of £16.81 (12.5% of £134.5) making a correct total £151.31, ie still less than what we actually paid. The manageress admitted that there were issues with the billing system and apologised - however it is somewhat inexplicable that there were so many compounding issues. The difference between the first bill presented and the amount paid was nearly £25 and even then we over charged a further £3. If these errors were being repeated across the restaurant, that represents a systemic issue in favour of the restaurant which of course would need to be reported to the authorities. Just to repeat my first comment, the food and service were excellent.

Our oysters were very good but served still attached to their shell which made them difficult to eat. In the UK it is usual for the shucker to detach the oyster from the shell. The halibut steak was cooked and presented very well. However the taste was very bland with little flavour. This dish needs to be served with a sauce to complement an outstanding and expensive fish.

Had a very tasty meal at Fishworks, the food was very good, the place was nice -although a little noisy. Unfortunately, our waiter was not the best and made a couple of errors, however the management resolved this - very much to our satisfaction. My partner had Dover Sole that was cooked very nicely. I had the surf and turf which was OK, not much meat on the lobster and the sauce tasted like tomato soup. But the steak, chips and sides were good. The prawn starter was excellent. Would probably return as there aren’t too many fish places in this area.

Very disappointed. We were seated for 45mn waiting for our dish to arrive. The waiter did not once come to tell us why it was taking so long. Eventually I asked. And dishes were brought to us within 10mn with the excuse: they had to fillet the fish. Meanwhile a guy came after us, sat down, ordered, had a starter and a main, paid and left! All that while we were still waiting for our meal. We did not stay for dessert even though it was for a birthday and it was mentioned when I booked. They even forgot the sauce on my daughter’s dish. Ruined our meal to be honest even though the fish was nice!

I always enjoy my meals at this restaurant. Benny the fish monger has been a good friend for years and I always feel welcome. Service was very kind and friendly. The Seared Yellow fin tuna was delicious and memorable. It was perfectly cooked just as I had requested it. My only disappointment was the portion size. When I last had lunch at this restaurant a few years ago the dish was a whole tuna steak cooked to perfection. During my latest visit I was served four small slices of tuna which made an already expensive dish all the more expensive. The meal did end on a positive note as the brownie with vanilla ice cream I ordered for dessert was rich and delicious. I always feel well looked after and enjoy my experience at this restaurant but it will have to be an occasional treat in the future.

This was my third visit. As always I received a warm welcome and was made to feel at ease, although I was eating alone. My cocktail (limoncello spritz ) was lovely - not dilute as such cocktails often are. I chose Scottish smoked salmon with sourdough as started and traditional bouillabaisse to follow with a side of green vegetables. Everything was delicious. The vegetables have both flavour and bite and the broth was perfectly made using quality fish stock. For desert I chose the apple and raspberry crumble and asked for ice-cream with it rather than custard. It is often disappointing that even good restaurants serve disappointing coffee - not this one!

Fishworks on Marylebone High Street is more than a restaurant it's also a fishmonger in it's own right. Benny who heads up the team in the fishmongers is extremely knowledgeable and always points you to the freshest fish, delivered daily from the South Coast and Cornwall. It's also cheaper than the Farmer's market! We're lucky to have this facility as there are not many of them left in London. The restaurant also serves the freshest fish with daily specials and has a broad array of wines to go with the food as well as making fish and chips to take away.

We dinned as a table of 5, starters to be fair were quite good however the mains just didn’t cut it. If you like fish and chips with bones in this is the plaice to go. Steaks were very fatty and if you order a blue steak be warned it might come medium well. The lobsters were also over cooked just like the steaks. The food at Fishworks is incredibly reliable - really good from appetisers through mains to dessert. The fish soup is excellent, the fish is always super-fresh, everything was delicious. However, three of four guests at our table received their starters over 20 minutes before the fourth person despite asking several times (and the missing starter was only mackerel pate so just needed to be plated, not cooked) - very frustrating. And the restaurant was excessively noisy - not because customers were bing noisy but because there Arte no soft furnishings to baffle the sound making everyone speak increasingly loudly and thereby sending the noise level higher all the time. We have been coming here for years but this time felt let down.
