They looked after us to be honest, so no complaints really the platter for 4 REALLY IS FOR 4 So I highly recommend that! Drinks and everything was good. Recommend the lamb ribs, chops and sheesh kebabs from the platter. But I’d definitely be back. Thanks again

I visited first time, food was amazing and esp Hiyadat at Bham branch make this place special for me. He suggested special steak menu, I ordered Tomhawk , beef shushi and so much more. Hidayat was polite and fun in dancing . Stay blessed and a must visit restaurant at least once. I will def come back.

I visited this restaurant with two of my friends in the evening, and while the location is great—right near the cinema, bowling alley, arcade and dessert shops—the overall experience didn’t meet our expectations. The vibe in the restaurant is lovely and fun, and the staff were really friendly. I had a strawberry daiquiri, which was delicious, and the menu offers a great range of food options. However, the burgers and steak my friend and I ordered were extremely dry, and unfortunately, we all agreed the food just wasn’t up to par. While the atmosphere and location are fantastic, we decided we wouldn’t return due to the food quality.

We came for a special celebration, but the restaurant was so cold, and the staff were a little slow to react. The Sunday roast looked awesome, but the veg was cold, and the Lamb was very fatty. The warmest part was when the waiter juggled the fire, but it didn't last!! Would not rush to come back. The prices were high, but NOT value for money!! £22 for a chopping board with three small portions of desert! Shocking!!

Hidayat was a lovely host. There was large portion sizes and a nice atmosphere.

The chops were raw and uncooked salad was 2 days old nan bread frozen better of going to McDonald’s next door Rip off pricing and service. They gave complimentary tea and Bakalova which was 5 days old like a rock 2 can of sprite were nice Manger remained quiet when I registered my complaint. We were offered new meals but refused the damage was done, hope I don’t have any toilet issues tomorrow 🤞paid the bill in full including service charge.

It's a nice place for those who want to experience Turkish food and shows abroad, the meat is delicious, the appetizers are good, we just didn't like the carrot slice baklava, other than that it was nice, just a little expensive

Absolutely rubbish, i went yesterday night the staff were absolutely terrible and slow to even understand what i was saying, ordered a lamb shoulder and it came out so dry, furthermore when they brought it out they put it on our table, then after 5 minutes after we cut it someone came and took it off the tablw and cut it for us again, it was disgusting, especially for the price you pay would expect at least someting juic. Aftwr we hardly finished our food they brought us tea which was horrendous, the whole thing was rubbish and payed over £200 for the worst meal ive had in a while

On New Year's Eve, we had a family dinner at Etci Mehmet in Birmingham. The atmosphere inside was fantastic, and every staff member was very attentive. However, some of the meats we ordered were burnt, so we informed the waiter. The waiter promptly called the manager, Mr. Ozkan, and explained the situation to him. Mr. Ozkan immediately attended to us, apologised for the inconvenience, and assured us that it would be rectified. His attentive, polite, and warm demeanor showcased his professionalism as a manager. A while later, the perfectly cooked chops were served, and they were absolutely delicious. As we were leaving the restaurant, Mr. Ozkan walked us to the door and expressed his delight at the prospect of welcoming us again. Honestly, choosing Mr. Ozkan as the manager was an excellent decision for this establishment. We were genuinely impressed by the warm and attentive service. Without a doubt, we would be delighted to choose Etci Mehmet Birmingham again.

I’ve visited Etci Mehmet countless times, and it never fails to deliver a lively, memorable experience. The vibrant atmosphere, especially the thrilling fire shows, adds an exciting touch to every meal. It’s always a fun place to enjoy with family and friends. Every staff member is always so lovely and kind! Thank you Ozkan for warm welcome and service. Every visit, I indulge in their mezze platter and the fluffy Turkish bread. This time, we decided to try the mixed kebab platter and the new beyti kebab! both were exceptional! The beyti kebab had the perfect balance of flavor, grilled meat and refreshing yogurt. Their baklava and ice cream are consistently delicious. It's always the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. Etci Mehmet remains one of my favourite places to visit, I’m looking forward to next time.

Food okay, beef tacos were lacking texture and seemed a bit cheap, not worth £14. Starters were sub par, Sunday roast was very good, packed full of flavour. A bit on the pricier side, but very good service. Would go back, just not often.

The grilled chicken steak was nice also. The etci special steak had decent taste and flavour to it. The mocktails were abit hit and miss, the strawberry one tasted the best Overall as you are paying premium prices for the food, the service should be included, so therefore I Don't agree getting charged an extra 10 percent SERVICE CHARGE on top of the bill Would have given it 3 stars but only giving it 2, reason being the extra service charge also I think it's definitely on the pricer side compared to the amount you get. ** For the Instagrammers and tiktok pics , people love it, for foodies, not worth it in my opinion**

Oh my days, we were not disappointed tonight ! Last time (2y ago) we hated it. We came back not very optimistic but willing to give it another go and we are delighted. All waiters were amazing specially Abdelkarim and were polite. The food cooked by the chef TAHO was succulent, juicy and tender. The portions were generous. The atmosphere was nice. Honestly I will come back to and advise you to go. Definitely an outing for celebrations or even to enjoy good quality meat and food. Thank you again

Kids friendly meals and the Virgin strawberry Mojito is 😚!! We used to go here once a week and order food. Lately the quality of the food has gone down and today we asked for onion rings for one of the kids instead of fries. We used to do this every week and the chef and management were respectful but unfortunately tonight the two managers were rude and impersonal saying you have to pay extra and when I asked them for an explanation they were rude. My friends and family and I will never come here again until you learn some manners and I have a suggestion for you. If you are struggling financially, hire some smart employees instead of lowering the quality of the food and being rude.

The food was tasty and delicious. I really recommend the lamb kofta with cheese it is one of the best kofta I ever tried. The price is very good. The staff were friendly and serve with love. The place was clean and well organized. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best Turkish choices in UK.

Great food I’ve enjoyed my lunch today

I recently visited Etci Star City restaurant with my work colleagues and had a disappointing experience. Before booking, I called twice to inquire about entertainment as we were going for Christmas dinner, and the representative assured me that there would be entertainment all week. However, upon arrival, the waitress informed us that entertainment was only available if we ordered a special flame steak. This crucial detail was never mentioned during my calls, which was frustrating since I specifically booked for both food and entertainment. And this wasn’t the case when I came with my siblings few years ago hence the girl being made incase of changes. I ordered the tomahawk steak with peppercorn sauce, priced at £60.50, requesting it to be cooked medium well. Unfortunately, the steak was well overcooked, making it tough to chew. My colleagues also tried it and agreed it was over cooked. While I might have returned it in a different setting, I chose not to raise the issue this time since I was with my colleagues. Additionally, I found the payment policy quite odd. For our group of seven/ eight, the bill had to be charged to one card, which was inconvenient, especially since we were prepared to cover any excess costs individually. This meant that if our total exceeded £200, it would all go on one person’s card, which was not ideal for a work outing. I had previously enjoyed this restaurant years ago when I visited with my siblings, which is why I recommended it to my colleagues. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to my expectations, and I regret my choice. I won’t be returning in the future.

Good food. Very busy. Service was not optimal, but to their credit they acknowledged this and apologised and offered a deduction from the final bill. Nice gesture. On a Saturday night, It was quite busy and noisy. Some younger people may like 👍 this

My experience at this Turkish steak restaurant was truly wonderful! The food was incredibly delicious and prepared with great professionalism. The atmosphere was the highlight for me—warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed. The staff were very polite and engaging, which made the overall experience enjoyable. However, there was one thing that upset me a little. They accidentally brought us an extra dish, but then they came back and took it away after placing it on the table. It would have been better if they had left it as a gesture of apology for the mistake, which would have made the experience even more perfect. That being said, the restaurant remains a beautiful place with its authentic Arabic ambiance, and I still recommend it to anyone looking for a unique dining experience!

Visited on Sunday, 24th November 2024 I recently visited Mehmet Etci in Star City, Birmingham, with my family, and I feel compelled to share my experience. While the quality of the ingredients and the behavior of the staff were good, unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. We ordered the following for four people: Etci Special Kebap (gluten, milk) Chicken Kofte Chicken Shish Adana Kebap Chicken Wings Lamb Ribs Lamb Chops Additionally, we ordered: A Chicken Burger (£14) A Kid’s Chicken Nugget (£10) A service charge of £10.60 Total: £116.50 The positives: The ingredients were fresh, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. However, the negatives were significant: The taste of the Adana and Chicken Kofte was extremely disappointing. Both were overly spicy, to the point of being unpleasant. We expected larger portions to accommodate four people. Instead, the restaurant divided the food into two smaller portions, which resulted in smaller kebabs (approximately 100mm in length, rather than the expected 250mm). There was also less lamb ribs and lamb chops than anticipated. The overall portion size was far too small for the price. The food seemed to be enough for two people, not four, which made the price of £116.50 (for five adults and one child) feel exorbitant, especially without drinks. In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant, particularly if you’re with your family. It’s difficult to complain in front of family members when you’re charged so much for such a disappointing meal, with low quantities and overly spicy dishes that many people may not enjoy. Save your money and look for a better dining experience elsewhere.

Great service and atmosphere, and food was good, too! Easy to access from the car park, but toilets on the 1st floor-- didn't see an accessible toilet on the ground floor. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

The food was good, but the main course wasn't hot. We had not finished our starters and the staff bought our main courses to the table. I explained to the staff we are not ready for the main course but they said they have already cooked our food. We felt we was being rushed to eat and get us out. The one waiter did give us complimentary tea but I expect better service for the price we paid. Also the restaurant temperature felt cold so I had to leave my coat on whilst eating.

Lovely decor, waiters pleasant enough. We went on a very cold night and it was very cold in there, no heating on. All of our food was only lukewarm, we didn’t complain as we were ok with it like that but some people, like my partner prefer their food piping hot. All 10 of said we probably won’t return, the food wasn’t worth the expensive prices. I paid £18 for an asado burger that was no bigger than the palm of my hand. There was about one and a half to two tablespoons of meat on it. Totally not worth it. £6.00 for 5 cheesy onion rings, they were lovely to be honest but expensive. Kids chicken nuggets and chips £10 😳

Fantastic food and atmosphere...perfect for families....only downside is that they don't serve alcohol which i didn't realise but that's not a big problem.

May be a little biased as comparing to the Manchester branch. The food was really good. Some items on the dessert menu weren't available so that was a little disappointing. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, but not the lively, electrifying waiting we're used to at Manchester, which is essentially what we go to Etci for. Kids menu is pricey too.

Can I Just Say At First I Was Scared To visit This Place As I Heard It Was Over Rated And Prices Were Highh !! Now That I Have Visited Amazing food, grilled To perfection! Great Portion Sizes and Good Choice Off Seasoning! Amazing Atmosphere, Love The Half An Hour Shows Of The Flames and Music. Great service-, Every Server Aims To Please And Always Has A Smile On Their Face! Can I give A Shout Out To the Waiters Who Served Us . They Were Amaazingg And Very Friendly. The Only Downer Of This Place Is Drinks Were Served 45 Mins Before Our Food Arrived So The Ice Had Melted and The Fizz Had Finished From Our Drinks However Its Something Small which Can be Improved By Just Asking Your Customers Would You Like Your Drinks Served First Or With Your Food.

Amazing Ripp off. AVOID. Went yesterday, warm welcome, ordered food which took ages to be served. Staff always around us(trying to tell eat fast and buzz off..!),couldn't feel comfortable to dine.1 piece of steak with nan bread & salad £68.! Another steak £120.!. Gosh came home well fed but empty pockets.Guys Enough steak house on Coventry Road, Ladypool Road, Alumrock. Fair price, quality food. Would avoid unless I earn some gansta cash. Not worth my hard earned money. Sorry.

Very rude staff , with poor understanding to basic serving etiquette. Steak arrived rare when requested medium well . I can't find a reason why people eat here.
