We were served by Abu, he was brilliant. Always checked into make sure we were all good. Very respectful and polite. Food was great and came on time.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff was incredibly welcoming, especially Hesam, and the food was absolutely delicious. Will visit again!!

I think this was one of the best meals I been to I definitely recommend if u love steak And come here for any good event and Hesam and Pahim made experience and I would definitely return soon

Had a great time, Fahim was amazing and really entertainmented us and kept us happy. Group of girls, we all ordered chicken steaks and mocktails, nice food. Well presented, cooked and tasty. Most important in ambience, feel like Turkey and Fahim was sensational, he had some dance moves!

First time visiting this restaurant our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. The staff are friendly welcoming and polite as well. The food was nice but could have had a little greens or salad presented with the burger and fries overall it was a nice evening.

We had a lovely family lunch. Bhatti was very friendly and great at entertaining our son. The Sunday roast lamb was great, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The baklava is the best!

Bhatti was amazing, so helpful, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. He is a credit to the team and an absolute superstar. My 8 year old son loved him to!

The food was good but very different to our usual taste so we find it less spicy and enjoyable to our taste buds. The ambience was great, and the service was good, too. If someone likes Turkish food or wants to try, it's a good place to go. Though a bit expensive too. Bit our overall experience was good.

Visited today the food was great and the service was 1st class. Got the lunch menu and we are a small family of 3. My little boy enjoyed the food, nuggets which thank god were not out of the packet. We were served by Bhatti, who provided a welcoming 1st class service. Definitely worth a visit.

Best atmosphere, great food options, we were served by Waqar and Adil and they were brilliant at suggesting and serving to all of us.

We were a party of about 15 or so, so inevitably things can be a little hectic with that many people! In the main, the people here were lovely and worked hard to see us happy... particularly the young guy and girl that waited our table. And they accommodated us for being late too - big gratitude for that. And I also liked the little pyro show they gave downstairs! 🤩🔥🤩 but for me, I wasn't that impressed by the food if I'm honest... presented amazingly well... but my starter of the feta and sausage spring rolls, just wasn't my bag really - maybe just the feta ones would be better? I ordered the mixed kebab for my main, which again was well presented. But arrived with no sauces to go with all that meat- you had your standard mayo and I think bbq sauce on the table... but I was looking for like a cool mint or yoghurty type of something to go with that and they didn't have anything. The Etçi special sauce was brought out as an alternative, which to be fair was lovely, but I wouldn't have known had I not asked. They asked me how I'd like my lamb and I said medium to well, and it came out practically bleating 🤢 just not my thing. There were many people that ordered the roast and left a lot of it after being initially dazzled by the presentation. And there was a Medley of the beef, the salmon and the chicken... all felt the meats were bland... the vegetables beyond al dente, undercooked and the dinner fell very flat with a lack of seasoning. Maybe it's just the Turkish way? But I was surprised with the lack of flavour... and then there was a discrepancy around only one card could take payment and you can't split the bill. And there is zero wiggle room on parties over 7, which they say is made clear on booking (which it wasn't) and that they have a notice as you walk in (an A4 piece of paper behind the welcome desk - if you noticed that then you probably rock at 'Where's Wallly?!') At the end, our waiter did help us take lots of pics haha, so that was really cool of him and was really nice with my little nephew. All in all, was nice to try, I felt the people were doing their best but for the price and what was actually delivered, doubt any of us would return to dine.

The chicken kebab was excellent. The prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food worth it. Music was nice and not too loud. I recommend the Piña colada Mocktail

Great service by Bhatti and nice food

A place that claims to offer a VIP experience and if you question this then they will become overly defensive. Well, Sanah Shaikh (the lady who responded to my complaint) will kindly conduct an internal investigation and then tear apart your experience with a defense as to why they are right. I visited on a Sunday and saw an opportunity for a roast dinner. The waiter we had was a young male. A very polite young man that I can only assume was training (due to the nearby staff presence and support that was given to him). I asked for a chicken roast dinner and asked if it would be possible to have the 'grey' meat (I am a fan of thigh or leg meat), another waiter stepped in and said it was just the breast and wing that was on offer. With reflection, this waiter should have diffused the situation and said that the meat is quite soft don't worry but instead he was very abrupt and did not appear able to cater towards a customers needs. I then said ok I will have the lamb to which they replied they had run out. I didn't want to eat salmon with my roast and I'm not a fan of beef. So I said to the young waiter if he could ask the chef if he could do a few lamb chops with it instead. He returned after a short while, alone and said the chef can't do anything. I was a bit shocked and even more so that he was being sent to deal with a situation with a potentially difficult customer alone. So I said to the young man if he could ask the chef what he could do with it...Chicken or lamb that would suit me as I love roast dinners and would really appreciate it. The boy said he would see what he could do. Nobody returned. I was sadly presented with lamb chops with no roast at all. As I had no idea the issue had not been resolved, I was clearly upset. The waiter (with the white hair who had assisted the young waiter a few times) presented me with the chops. I told him I was disappointed to receive it and asked him to take it away as I felt that my needs had not been met at all. I told him that I was expecting the roast and he said that the young man had spoken to me and told me this was not possible to which I replied that I thought it had been resolved and did not hear from anybody. He blamed the young waiter and said he was going to have a word with him. I asked him not to do that because it was not his fault. But he decided that this was more important than checking if I was ok or meeting my needs. He (the waiter) was continually rude to me from this point on. And because of him it has left a sour note on a really lovely meal out. I did not receive an apology and there was no consideration given to my feelings whatsoever. Although the chef managed to put the roast with my chops in the end, the way in which it was done was cruel and heartless. The older waiter did not apologise. Instead he spoke to me like a child, even asking if I was 'Happy now?' in a condescending way. I obviously ignored him but I left feeling sad and embarrassed that a situation like that should have happened. They did not say goodbye to us or thank us in the usual way (only the waiters not involved in the incident said goodbye)...this waiter decided to walk the other way when we left:( The food by the way wasn't bad, the mocktail I had was nice. But the prices are questionable, especially considering their inability to adapt to the customers needs. For a restaurant that wishes to receive the high price tag, then they do need to be able to put their customers at the absolute core. The email I received from a lady called Sanah was absurd. It became a to and fro of me stating what had happened, to her nit picking every word I had said. She literally highlighted parts of my email and how she felt she and her staff did things correctly. I am still shocked. But if the management feel this is ok (she stated this in her email) then it is no wonder that it has trickled into the restaurant and the behaviour of the restaurant manager at Star City. The awful correspondence coupled with my terrible experience means I would not return.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Etci Mehmet in Birmingham, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our waiter, Bhatti, was the highlight of our evening. His friendliness and positive vibes were infectious, and his spontaneous dancing brought an extra layer of joy to our meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The evening was capped off with a delightful baklava for dessert, which was the perfect sweet end to a fantastic meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and an unforgettable dining experience, thank you so much to Bhatti's wonderful service.We will be back :-)

Always love this restaurant. Evening is best as you get a bit of a display, but the food and service is always great! Little confusion on the set menu, but was quickly cleared up. Highly recommend this restaurant

I was really amazed by this restaurant and the food that why as soon as came back I wrote this review.. I had grilled salmon,burger for my children,steak and grilled beef,the food is really tasty and delicious and the most important thing it is hoooot ..I had sticky toffee as a dessert and it was from heaven and took me to heaven straight away 🥰🥰🥰 My children enjoyed the food and the entertainment 🔥 Highly recommended

Located in start city we made a reservation and did not have to wait around. To start with steaks tasted great as did the chicken shish, kebabs and chips. The downside was the burgers we ordered 2 the Turkish sausage and the classic and they just don't hit the mark. Neither did the tropical fusion mocktail. All in all I would still come back and stick to the steaks.

Thanks to Bhatti for the excellent recommendations. My friend and I wanted some steak and we ended up with the T bone medium rare. I had also ordered the BBQ chicken wings which were great with the accompanied sauce. I went for the oyster mushroom side which was unique. Overall great quality, and great venue.
