Now and again you come across food that is truly exceptional. I've written many reviews for places with very good food, but it's been a while since I was this impressed. I came here for lunch with my husband on my birthday, having found the place by accident. I had eggs Florentine flatbread and just...wow. Every aspect perfect - the bread crisp, chewy and flavourful, the eggs perfectly cooked with soft, bright yellow yolks, the sauce creamy and delicious, the spinach and chives fresh and green - but the combination greater than the sum of its parts with flavours and textures singing out individually but also in wonderful harmony. My feet did an involuntary little tappy dance of delight under the table. My husband had the bacon and sausage one, and from his comments I think the quality was on par (I'm vegetarian so didn't try it, but it looked good). Not sure why they put bits of paper on their plates under the food. I think they should avoid it in future, especially with foods that have a lot of sauce as it is tricky not to end up eating it. A minor thing that cannot detract from the experience for me though.

Driven past many times never stopped. Well i wish we had food was lovely service exceptional. The place is a gem to say the least

Wonderful quality for a huge family order with lots of variety - all delicious! We had a group of 15 with varying tastes and everyone was really happy with what they had, the fish was beautifully cooked and great chips too.

We have been for cocktails after film matinees at the nearby Ritz cinema. The longest cocktail menu I have ever seen and many are unknown to us but equally delicious. Have eaten dinner once and that was good as there are choices to suit everyone. Staff are also lovely. We will continue to go.

Un pequeño bar de cócteles situado en el extremo superior del "triángulo" de Bournemouth. Parece un lugar pequeño desde el exterior, pero tiene otra habitación en la parte trasera. Los dos anfitriones son encantadores y muy capaces expertos en cócteles. Cada cóctel está hecho de maravilla y mis amigos y yo siempre hemos querido a todos. Ambiente muy agradable y una verdadera joya en Bournemouth - de hecho vale la pena salir de su camino para visitar.

We were 3 adults and 2 Primary age children, popped in today (Bank holiday) for lunch. This cafe has been open for over 3 years and I'm ashamed to say it's only the second time we have eaten there. After lunch I can safely sat it won't be another 3 years! The kids had chicken nuggets and chips and fresh lemonade, they cleared their plates! All 3 adults chose from the fusion dishes, kebab, quesadillas and a vegetarian seitan. Absolutely delicious food, great portion sizes and good quality. St Annes has a raft of brilliant cafes and restaurants but this little place really fills a gap when it comes to lunch choices. They do sell all day breakfasts but there are other cafes in town who do that brilliantly; if you want something that makes a change at great prices try Chit Chat, the ladies who served were so friendly and helpful too, nothing was too much trouble. Give it a go, you won't be sorry!!

Best steak in southport. Sons birthday treat, a beast of a tomahawk. Cote de boef or ribeye if you cant manage the big one, also great burgers

Mi hija y yo disfrutamos de una comida absolutamente deliciosa en The Leaf. La comida era realmente de primera clase, sabía fantástico y se veía hermosa. El servicio fue excelente, muy atentos y educados. Y todo a precios muy razonables. Muy recomendable.

A lovely friendly cafe and bakery, If only they offered a brown toast option and a choice of butter instead of margarine (for which I would happily pay a little extra) it would be absolutely perfect and I'd easily give 5 stars for food, Nice food and great value.
