This was our first visit to The Chambers Restaurant. We went with some friends for lunch on Saturday 16th November. The food was delicious and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back! I would highly recommend The Chambers Restaurant - thank you!

Ordered the Mediterranean chicken off the bone expecting to have no chilli in it as it’s not in the description but when it arrived it was more spicier than my husband peri peri chicken, I can’t eat chilli that’s why I ordered it, a waste of £11.50, not happy and hungry!!

Lovely place and same as the staff always put you at ease and the food is always amazing whether you eat in or out fantastic wouldn't go anywhere else been going for years

Food was decent but ridiculously small portion. £14.90 for medium lamb shish and extra salad. They forgot the salad but dropped it off to us. Will not be going there again

Booked a table but ended up at the very back of the restaurant, which is just horrible. Surprised that the coats weren’t dumped on us there! It’s just grim and also by the toilets which were again grim, broken and filthy. The waiter who took our order couldn’t have been nicer and very attentive, but the lady serving on the front desk please, you need to slow down when speaking and serving, we literally had to ask you to repeat everything several times and then you looked at us like we were thick?! Everything is 100 miles an hour in this place, it’s not a nice relaxing place to have a meal, it’s more like stopping off at the services on the M4 when the football fans have also just rocked up - chaos!! The food was served quickly, it was tasty but just about warm. The plates were cleared literally after the last mouthful. Everything’s a rush rush rush. The food overall is ok, the Kunefe was by far the best dish. Across the road there’s an Saray Express cafe and the food is literally the same but cheaper and, to be honest you get a better service over there, it’s much calmer. We wanted a nice family meal out, but left there feeling like we’d been in a fight and in and out in under an hour! They’ve obviously got plenty of regulars to keep their reviews high but, to be honest, it’s just not that great and we don’t see what the fuss is all about?

Probably the best Turkish food I have ever had in York. Highly recommended.

We arrived at 12:30, took 10 min to order ( mentioned that all our food must be halal). The kids received their afternoon tea with ham sandwiches, that we asked to change and waited for 30 min to receive their food) I asked for tea refill and didn’t receive it until this moment 1:50. And If we needed a service we have to call staff several times, and still they forget things like the ice and lemon, the refill of tea… In sum ( staff are friendly, service is slow, food is ok , place is beautiful.

Quite a unique, retro / disco meets geometric pattern design decor. Large portions, good value for money, and very delicious!

Nice at restaurants and good clean in washroom but I was eat grill salmon lot of oil much much not dry not good need in oven not fry.

Hemskt ställe. Sa att vi bokat ute fast det inte gick. Dryck kom när vi ätit klart men behövde inte betala för den. Ät inte där

Decent Turkish place. Service was a little slow and confused on what seemed to be a not very busy evening. Food was alright- the chicken sizzler was very tasty and the islander kebab entrees was good, although a bit on the greasy end. Really enjoyed the loaded fries of all things! Decent value for the dinner combo.

Food is ok and cheap and cheerful, take your own booze which is good if you can be bothered to go to tesco first! loads of choice and we had starters which I thought was quite bland. Chicken tikka was alright but my biggest complaint is that the staff stare at you eating and listen to your conversations??

I personally had never been here b4.Omg what a little gem of a place. We went for my daughters 30th.The atmosphere 10/10,the amazing staff 10/10 and the food from starters to desert were amazing.All I can say is well done all.
