Basically a takeaway but the food is excellent. They have a couple of tables but it's basically a picnic in the very narrow shop

doner kebab meat actually tastes of meat and is prepared fresh each day and can run out in the evening but lots of shish alternatives. Remeber it is cash only but there is a Barclays cash machine atm near south ken tube station.

Für meine Deutsche Kollegen: Kann man nicht mit einem Standard Döner vergleichen. Unter „Doner“ versteht man wohl einen Döner Teller mit Brot vom Aldi aus der Aluschale. Es gibt nur eine Soße („scharf“), keine Joghurtsoße keine Knoblauch Soße. Das Fleisch war mittelmäßig. Es gab nur Lamm zur Auswahl, ist natürlich immer Geschmackssache. Ich rate euch, Finger weg. 10-12£ war mir definitiv zu viel. Geht lieber zu McDonald’s, da wisst ihr was ihr kriegt

Used to serve fantastic food and have an amazing vibe, now feels run down, with lacklustre service. Much less non-meat options than there used to be. Lots of the classic menu is no longer served, and what is served is ok but notably bad value for money - was charged over £10 for a smallish plate of uninspired food

It’s never open and whenever you try going in, they say “the staff haven’t turned up”. Seriously fix up! 🤦🏻‍♂️

The kababs there were really nice as they are actually cooked on real charcoal fire. The meats were tender, and not too heavily seasoned. The portion was good too. The only down sides are cash only and also seatings and really small. However, they managed the smell really well.

In town for my daughter's graduation and happened upon this place during a visit in which we had already indulged ourselves with highly rated, excellent restaurants. Even in that fancy company, this place was memorable. If I were rating it on food alone, it would be a standout. Flavorful, interesting, perfectly prepared, and just forkful after forkful of me trying to not disturb my neighbors with my yummy sounds and expressions of sheer delight. But as Ron Popeilwould say, that's not all. The staff is at least as delightful as their food. Warm, welcoming, and kind, they make you feel right at home, offering their generosity that lets you feel as if you've been invited to their home for dinner. I can't recommend this place enough. It's the kind of restaurant that you go out of your way to visit, that you plan your day in order to be in their area around meal time, and that you go to even if you're really not all that hungry. It's that good. No. It's better.

Was, is and always will be the best kebab in central London. You never forget how good it is even after 5 or 10 years.

I recently dined at this restaurant/takeaway and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. The quality of the basic Turkish food was underwhelming and the customer service was notably poor. What truly shocked me, however, was an encounter with a staff member I hadn't seen before. Their extreme rudeness and confrontational behavior, in response to a simple question, were both surprising and unacceptable. This incident has led me to the decision that I will not be patronizing this establishment again. I hope that the management takes steps to address such issues in order to provide a better experience for future customers.

OMG, THE ABSOLUTE BEST DONER PLACE IN LONDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hassan and friends are so personable, friendly, and accommodating. I just love love love this place. The food is outstanding and fresh, and the entire place IS CLEAN! They are constantly cleaning the grill and wiping the counters so it stays clean. The Doner meat is shaved fresh for you, and you can choose what side you want if it's a salad or pita. There is inside seating as well as outside seating. This is a cash only place. It is truly one of my staples for dining in London!

The restaurant is a lil small but the staff were really nice. We enjoyed the food, however the meat was a lil dry, and the portion of the food wasn’t as much as we had at other places.

I went there 5 years ago and it made me fall in love with Kebabs, 5 years later I returned and it is still amazing. The restaurant in making me a kebab addict, I’m going there every day now.

Great food with generous portions - couldn't finish the smallest size. We got the doner kebab and shish kofte, both very good and served with bread and fresh salad. We also had the baklava which was great as well.

I have been visiting this place for over 25 years, always tasted good and always friendly people, Having to edit my review,,, the prices doubled last couple of months, and the food tastes disgusting, that wasn't from just a last visit, last 3 visits, food completely changed, and the prices increased more than 100% I won't go back again 😕

In 1987 I studied abroad with FSU and this place was the go to place for doner kebabs. It was gray then and it’s still excellent. Brought back great memories too.

Food was good salad was really fresh with a nice toasted pitta bread and loved the chilli sauce had the lamb shish a little bit too chewy for me so may stick to doner or chicken next time. For small portion u get quite a bit which is great.

I went back here for the first time in like 15 years, and it's as good as I remembered - delicious, with generous portions and friendly staff, also well priced for the area! It was cash only when we visited though, so make sure you have some on you :)

This place has almost 60 years of heritage. The kebabs are extremely tasty and well made no chips,so rice and bread only with a great variety of drink choices. The place iself is tight but in my opinion it adds character and definitely works! Food is A+ one of the best authentic Turkish kebab shops in West London 😋... love it

Overpriced kebab with only cash. Still surviving on fooling south Ken tourists. I use to go there when I was a kid and this is unfortunately not at all as remembered. they have their little message saying why they are so expensive comparing a chicken sandwich from a supermarket and saying they are still cheaper… sad You need to change a few things if you want to charge over £10 for a chicken skewers.. starting with plates…

I wouldn't recommend that place to eat at all, it was dirty, we had to wait for long and kebabs they served were worse than average.

In 1999, I studied abroad in London and the school had me love in South Kensington. Bosphorus Kebabs was around the corner and on a college student budget it was amazing. 23 years later and thankfully on a larger budget it is still amazing. My family (2 adults. 2 kids, 10&7) ate here yesterday for £37. Yes, my kids spilt a large chicken shish, so we only had 3 orders, but due to my chubbiness, I had the extra large mixed grill, so that is like 4 orders. Even if you don’t stay in South Kensington it is worth the tube ride.

I have been going there for quite a few years. One of my friends is a very long term customer, stretching decades back. He believes this is one of the best kebab places in London and I agree. It is a tiny place with 3-4 tables inside. I wouldn't like to comment on interior set up etc. My advice would be to order takeaway. Food is nice, fresh flavours, decent quality and quantity and also a good menu. Price wise you know what to expect in that area but not too bad. Generally speaking not a long wait. I would always go there if in the area.

Simply the best place in this area.

This is central london, so space is a premium, 4 of us sat around a tiny table (1.5m x 0.5m) Ordered a range of kebabs and donnor meat, we watched it being prepared on the grill. Served in silver foil plates with plastic forks, the taste and quality was exceptional! Worked out to about £17 a head, for where you are and what you are getting that is exceptional.

Best kebab I’ve ever had! Don’t really like kebabs went with my bf after going to the Albert hall (he loves kebabs and was his bday trip), Really really good, mixed kebab., healthy cooked well and lovely staff! Finished off with a lovely baklava. Highly recommend!

Ordered a Doner Wrap (lamb) served with salad and one sauce. I was charged extra 60p for yogurt sauce. Costed me £9.10 for a small Service: Decent Flavour: Average Price: Not worth the money, however it’s in South Kensington Overall: I would not make a special trip to have their doner.

High price, little food. Ive had starters a quarter of the price which have been bigger. The Donner is nothing amazing and the lamb shish is average. Sauces are extra too. Never again. Would have given a 1 star but the food was just ok.

This is a hidden gem located in South Kensington, the food is consistent every time I visit. This establishment caters for people who observe a halal diet and also caters for the health conscious as their meat is lean with little fat content. I would recommend the XL mixed grill with their special in house white sauce. If you are in the area give them a go. The only down side is eating in is limited spaces and they do not have chips on the menu.
