Lovely traditional French restaurant - we had a very nice dinner here on a Saturday night. The staff is super kind and on top of things. Nice vibes. One of the best tarte tatin I’ve ever had!

The service was great—genuinely polite without feeling forced or over the top. It made for a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the wine was delightful. I would come back again! :)

Wonderfully authentic old school professionally managed French restaurant. Local mature Chelsea clientele, Delicious and classic french dishes. My French mother loves it.

Certainly better French food elsewhere in London but I doubt anywhere else better conveys the essence of Vieux France, especially when combined with the ageing Chelsea Gents. Good to people watch. Almost all the old classics 🦆 🪿 🥩 🐌 🧀 🦪… Also a fabulous Bordeaux wine list. Grand Cru Classe (amazing in halves) at about double mark-up when most are 3-4 times mark-up. Sheer professionalism from Didier & his long-term mostly French crew. Bravo.

This is a very nice French restaurant. It is all nicely done out and the staff are very professional. The wine list is very good and offers good value. The food is ok but frankly a bit dull. The menu has been dumbed down in recent years, but honestly it was not too exciting in the first place. In its favour it does a fixed price lunch menu which is generally very good value. The owner is usually there and is absolutely charming.

I have visited two or three times in the last month alone. Nothing changes. The welcome is the same. Warm and wonderful. The menu changes a little but always offering the same regular French standards. I love the seasonal offerings such as white asparagus and superb oysters. The difficulty is choosing what to eat. There is so much one wants to eat!!!! Pudding though for me is easy. … Crepe Suzette. The house Champagne is very good as is the Sancerre at £50 a bottle. A truly exceptional restaurant which is so valued by its loyal clientele.

The overall experience was out of this world, all staff were friendly the food was excellent well cooked and it was very enjoyable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone even if you don't know any French.

An elegant older local crowd. Nice food, attentive service

Traditional food, beautifully cooked & presented without a single purée skid mark, scattering of micro herbs or “chocolate soil” in sight. Wonderful! Service was impeccable - we were short on time as we had a hospital appointment to go to so we had the set lunch. We were treated just the same as those who were pushing the boat out with more elaborate choices. Just as it should be. We’ll be back.

Absolutely superb lunch - crab then king prawns. Delightful waitress. However there is no disabled loo with the gents fairly inaccessible. But overall. 9/10

It's been a few years but it's still very French. I thought some of the dishes were great some not so great eh endive walnut and gorgonzola starter and crevettes main a disappointment. Beef was fantastic Deserts a bit limited. Very expensive at £150 + pp. Wines lovely but they only seem to have had 1 bottle of our initial choices, were they trying to get us to use other stock?

Overall a surprisingly poor experience given reputation! Very disappointed in service and food. Perfunctory service. Overcooked fish.

Classic French brasserie. Great service, very good food, nice wine list. Had a steak tartare and kidneys, both excellent. Everybody at the table cleaned their plates. Sincerely recommended.

I went here for dinner and the food was excellent, it was busy and full of locals and the Dover sole was perfectly cooked.

One of my delights each time when visiting London is to dine in this classic French brasserie being completely insulated from the bustle and pressures of the Capital. Excellently cooked food complemented by an extensive wine list. An unpretentious and welcoming ambience with attentive and knowledgeable serving staff. It is difficult not to eulogise further such is the effect that this establishment has affected me!!

Very disappointing experience. Overcooked lobster and Dover sole. . Mediocre table service. Overpriced. Over-rated.

Food was so bland and oily Waitress asked is there something the matter with the food as could see we hadn't eaten it. So we told them and nothing was done no apology/explanation etc So we just paid the bill and left Shame as its so local to us but will not go back Only 1 vegetarian option on the menu for mains

We have a work colleagues’s reunion here each year. This time at end of November. It’s a really good traditional French restaurant. At lunch they have a set menu which we usually follow with reasonable choices. The wine list is very good and prices are not too ferocious by London standards. It is really well managed; the staff are knowledgeable, the pace of service is perfect, they do not try to top up your wine all the time. The ambiance is what you’d expect from a Parisian restaurant. I really like it and am going to start using it more often when meeting other friends in London.

What a perfect way to spend an evening. A few minutes walk from the Kings Road in Chelsea this French Restaurant offers an excellent menu of food a good wine list all served by friendly and professional staff. Excellent food, very good wine all in a beautiful setting.

This restaurant is one of the best french restaurants in London. It was a perfectly executed meal. I am surprised it’s not 4.9, definitely go here you will not regret it.

You can tell how good a restaurant is when you arrive and feel that most of the guests are local or returning customers. This is the first impression you get when you arrive here. The menu is classic French cuisine served in a traditional style with emphasis on quality ingredients and efficient service. The real plus is in the great selection of top appellation Bordeaux wines in half-bottles. This is one of the very rare and few restaurants that have this option. Combine this with a casual ambience and you are sure to enjoy a wonderful meal with your special someone or friends. If you have not yet discovered this neighborhood gem you have missed a great find. Greatly enjoyed dinner , The steak tartare was excellent as were the Dublin Bay prawns. The grouse off the bone is highly recommended as are the veal kidneys. The service was good and efficient but note the service charge is £15%

A perfect, classic French brasserie. Excellent food and service. The duck liver terrine was smooth and rich. The lamb cutlets were soft, moist and expertly cooked. The Tarte Tatin was a delight and the perfect finish to an excellent meal. Old school, and fantastic because of it.

Excellent French restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. People who come here are clearly regulars, all greeted by a “Bonjour Monsieur/Madame” as they arrive. The service is extremely professional, fast and efficient. We went for steaks, they had a special with sauce aux morilles which was delicious and served with delicious asparagus and roasted potatoes. We also had a classic sirloin with sauce bearnaise and fries which was delicious. I actually thought the pricing was reasonable for Chelsea and the portion decently sized. Although it was only two of us, we were sat at a nice 4 person table so plenty of room. We were sat in the veranda which I was initially suspicious about given its the winter but its fully heated so even nicer than sitting inside. Complimentary bread and butter was delicious too although you are then hit with a 15% service charge. We paid 105£ for two mains and a dessert. Book in advance, the restaurant was packed on a Wednesday.

A very nice traditional French style restaurant, staff were very friendly and good service. I ordered smoked salmon which was absolutely delicious, I nearly asked for a second plate, we both had beef fillet steaks, cooked absolutely perfect and delicious served simply with green beans and fries, you need no more! Oh except for a very nice Chateauneuf de Pape. I ordered Rum baba for dessert, wow unbelievable and my wife thoroughly enjoyed Crepes Suzette with an extra drop of Grand Marnier.

Fabulous ambience and decor with extremely attentive staff always carrying a smile. The French cuisine was excellent as was the wine from an encyclopaedia of wines. Ample parking on streets after 6.30 pm which is great. I will definitely be coming back here soon.

The vibe is rustic and the menu is dated. I think London has better to offer these days.

We were a family group of six, booking for early evening at short notice, and we were made very welcome and enjoyed a lovely meal. The service was attentive without being intrusive, the atmosphere was cosy and relaxing, and the food and wine was tip top. Toilets scrupulously clean. It was a Saturday night and the tables were filling up fast as we prepared to leave, but at no point were we made to feel rushed. A really special venue.

Great selection of wines. Food selection is also great especially the fish, which is my favourite. But I personally found the fish/mains dish preparations a bit disappointing for the price charged which will include a carb side but no salad or veggies, hence the 4 stars. I have tasted, better fish and beef dishes, in other French restaurants. They don't have a good selection of sides either. The dessert selection also did not have much in the way of hot desserts. Service was of course great. Restaurant gets very busy even on weeknights so best to book in advance. Overall a good experience.

Great late night steak tartar, along with fries, a salad and a glass of red wine. Didn't book but got a table straight away in the busy restaurant. Staff could not have been more friendly, in spite of us only having a starter each.

Slightly expensive and strangely not a very diverse crowd. Lunch time during the week and EVERYONE was above 50. Just not too diverse of a crowd.

Lovely as usual, however disappointed with all the starters served straight from the fridge, so too cold and therefore no taste. Waitress not well trained, stretched across me to place a dish on my neighbour's place setting. Definitely not silver service.

A gorgeous Chelsea brasserie with lovely food, impeccable service and a fantastic (and fairly-priced) wine list, with loads of half-bottle options. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but there’s always a lunchtime 2-course menu for £33, with a good choice of dishes.

Absolutely excellent in every possible way! Delicious comestibles, very attentive and polite waiters. Didier, the very charming owner, is most caring with a personal touch and generous. My friends and I have always had a sublime, blissful evening. Very decorative food and ornate clever puddings. I highly recommend. Such warmth and ambience too! A place to practise your spoken French with some assiettes francaises on the top of it. Some wine quite expensive, however our Pinot Noir from Bourgogne etait tres bien.

Simply the best restaurant in London. Elegant in the extreme, well priced, beautifully served, freshest produce and always a lovely atmosphere.

Possibly the best value wine list in London, the mark up is very reasonable with some real steals. You won’t find a better burgundy in a London restaurant. They also have an amazing selection of 1/2 bottles, which is something you don’t see.

Managed to get a last minute reservation and so glad I did! The atmosphere is very chic and the staff welcoming and helpful. My girl friend and I absolutely love steak tartar but as she is receiving treatment at The Marsden we felt we should stay away from raw egg and they happily obliged and it was just perfect without. We had a fabulous lunch.

Short menu but superb cooking in French classic sauces, excellent wine list, gets busy at times best to book or go for lunch or early evening they may have space.
