Locanda Ottoemezzo in Kensington and Chelsea

I have been to Italy many times before the pandemic. The dinner in this restaurant brought back a lot of memories for me. I would say it's one of the best Italian restaurant in London.

Wonderful atmosphere, Emilio and the team are incredibly hospitable in true Italian fashion, food was nice and fresh, strongly recommended!

Always a delight to have an evening at Ottoemezze. A unique neighbourhood italian with wonderful food and made special and personal by the owners and their team. You are hosted in their 'home' with grace and humour.

This place has quickly become one of our favourite spots! The pizza here is fantastic – perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Every bite is delicious! But what stands out is the service. The staff goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and they always have a smile on their faces. They make my daughter feel so special, treating her with kindness and friendliness, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. It feels like dining with family, and it’s something we look forward to every time. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and better service!

This is a gem. We were eating early so had a lovely positioned table, attentive staff and deliciously fresh cooked food.

Just had my birthday downstairs for 14 in Locanda Ottoemezzo’s aubergine room - AJ was fabulous in taking care of us! The table was beautifully set up and the food,, service and atmosphere was brilliant. All topped with a cute turntable bought to the table playing “Happy Birthday”!!? Thank you for a wonderful evening - will always be one of my top cozy London favourites with delicious food!

We visited this lovely restaurant for a wedding reception at the end of September and it was amazing . From the reception drinks to the lovely food and friendly staff it was excellent .

Friendly staff, efficient service. Food was excellent - really good fennel starter and good tonnatta - although wrongly brought up as burratta initially! A superb fillet steak and lobster tail. Good accessible wine list. Only disappointing note was the focaccia which was a little hard. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We’ll be back

Can't fault anything about this restaurant. The decor is beautiful and the food is amazing and the staff made us feel very welcome. Our server was so sweet and helped us with our choices. I went for the risotto and wow... so tasty. I highly recommend it. My husband had the beef carpaccio to start and said it was incredible. As for the desserts - no words! Compliments to the Chef! Can't wait to visit again.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The service was great, and all of the employees were very kind and accommodating.

We had booked in then restaurant but it was a bit subterranean for us on a summer's evening. But we move to the cafe next door. The food was fantastic and the waitress charming and super efficient

A go-to place with pride and style and class with staff & management. Food is very good and yet it’s the staff that brings me back time and again. It’s quiet and in a stylish neighborhood.

Metal beer bottle top in my husbands lasagne This was serious enough but much more worrying is the fact that the owner didn’t care at all When we complained (!) the staff were lovely but not a peep from the owner When asked about why he hadn’t come out to apologise he said - and I quote - ‘What do you want me to do - go down on my knees?’ A triumph of ego over a sensible approach to running your business All we wanted was an apology for something that could have cut my husbands mouth to ribbons or broken his teeth Serious

Sadly what started out very well with friendly staff and a nice little side street location turned very sour indeed. Starters and wine by the glass were good. Then came mains which was a different story entirely. It wasn’t so much that my husband found a beer bottle top in his lasagne, which indicates a very sloppy kitchen regime, but the way the owner responded was extraordinary. He whipped the plate away (hence no photograph) and after around ten minutes returned with a fresh plate. When I enquired why no apology he said ‘what do you expect? Do you want me go down on my knees?’ and became belligerent. We were not asked to pay the bill in fairness but we were seeking a nice lunch after a trip to the V&A and not an argument about why it’s so shocking to narrowly avoid your mouth being ripped to shreds or teeth being broken. Such a shame.

Perfectly cooked, authentic Italian food served by friendly, knowledgeable staff in a lovely setting. From the homemade focaccia with delicious olive oil, through delicious plentiful starters and a main course that I didn’t want to end. We squeezed in a dessert that I didn’t have room for but managed to eat anyway because it was amazing. I love Italian food at the best of times, but this was perfection. My wife ate some of the best homemade ravioli I have ever tasted, presented with a little theatre as the waiter drizzled over delicious balsamico. My fillet steak was cooked to perfection, melting in the mouth like butter and served with a perfect peppercorn sauce and vegetables that were the very meaning of al dente. Extensive wine list of the best Italian wines. The service added to the experience- just enough attention, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food being served, and genuinely delighted that we enjoyed it so much. I commented to the waiter that I felt like I had spent the last couple of hours in a top restaurant in Italy, because for me that is the biggest compliment I could give. Sure, it isn’t cheap, but not over the top for London - and for the quality of food it is worth every single penny. Absolutely perfection.

Great cozy restaurant. The food was super and the atmosphere great. The restaurant has a movie theme with posters from old movies, mostly Italian, on the walls. They also, apparently show movies upstairs on a regular basis. The service was pleasant and attentive. Overall a 5-star.

Authentic Italian restaurant in Kensington. The owner and staff made us feel at home, being super kind and welcoming. We started loving this spot as soon as we saw the focaccia and bread ticks available on the table, together with an excellent olive oil from Liguria. We had two Italian tables -highly recommended - and several main dishes. Special note for the linguine with crab and the spaghetti alla chitarra with ink, two masterpieces not to miss! We also shared some desserts that came together with cantucci. The price was in line with London standards and definitely worth the quality of food. It was disappointing. Previously, I had a lovely risotto in a big cheese ball for lunchtime twice. I told about it and when my friend from Japan came to visit me , he wanted to eat that , so I booked for Sunday lunch . I also wrote that in the request section of Opentable booking . But when we got there and asked for it , they said they can’t do it as they haven’t prepared for it . Also the rest of the menu was very limited . There was no seafood pasta or pizza . The only sea food available was calamari and octopus for the starter , both of which were very very small portions

An Italian treasure hidden in Kensington, not far from the Royal Albert Hall !!! Authentic delicious food (even better than in Italy !), in particular with the risotto presented in a huge parmesan cheese where the chef serves you while scraping the cheese volume with a big spoon ! And what a locely surprise when they brought a vinyl record player with my desert (and a candle over it) to sing an old "happy birthday" song on the vinyl disc for my birthday !

An excellent Italian restaurant in Kensington, the food was delicious and a relatively small menu means it is freshly made and given the are, good value. Service was also excellent with friendly and helpful staff.

Nearly £7 for a small ameriano and choc croissant. Where you can have exactly the same at A great cafe on the Fulham road called Marilou on the corner ofLimerston street for £4.35. Total rip off

This is one of our go to restaurant when we are in London. The food is always excellent. Pizza and ravioli are especially good. Would highly recommend for lunch and dinner.

Love this place - one of the best Italian restaurants in London. Authentic Italian cuisine, excellent service, great wine list... not a huge menu, but more than enough choice and variation. Staff and owners are always so attentive and friendly.

I went to Ottoemezzo with my friends who came to visit London from USA and Sweden and our experience were wonderful. The staff are all excellent. /we had steak, pasta and chicken and the food was delicious. We were picky to find a nice restaurant then decided to try this one and very happy with the service. For sure we will go back again . After Lunch my friend had coffee espresso he had to ask the manager where the coffee brand was from cause he like the quality of the coffee taste. Great experience.

Great family dinner, delicious food and great service

We have been going to Locanda for over 20 years. It is a complete gem. The food & wine are always fabulous and the service warm and friendly. Of course we have favourite dishes and no visit would be complete without the beef carpaccio with truffle or seasonal risotto served in a huge Parmesan rind. If you’re feeling up to it you can have as a starter so you don’t miss out. Beef ragu pasta is magical as are many of the pasta courses. Tiramasu is to die for as is the chocolate tort. Pizzas from the cafe are outstanding and a favourite take away option on the weekend . We Always look forward to our visits as it Never disappoints .

It is a regular restaurant for my family. We love it. The food is always fantastic quality. It has it's quirks which makes it all the more interesting and fun. Went there this week for my son's 21st birthday celebration. It was his choice of restaurant.

I came (to the cafe) for the pizza, and could have stayed all day for the vibe. Very relaxed, quiet, friendly ... perfect place to enjoy perfect pizza crust and very good food across the menu.
