This has been my go to place for an early, mid day or late coffee and snack for the past few months. Service is excellent, staff are friendly, and I always feel welcome. Coffee is good and consistent, great dessert and good food. I don’t understand the 3.9 rating, as I visited at least 10 times and was never disappointed.

The doormen were simply rude and racist. One of them drove a guest car within a feet from me and nudged me away by continuing to pull up. I confronted him if he has problem with Asians standing on the street, but his door supervisor rudely waved me away. Why would any respectable establishment hire people like them?! Most other 1* reviews seem to centred around pattern of horrendous service attitude.

Staying at The Cadogan is always such a treat especially breakfast! The buffet is fab and the eggs Benedict is my favourite! Shout out to Mo who is always so kind and really looks after us. We’ve been coming for years and he remembers us each time we come and goes above and beyond. Mo is a real credit to your team!

We tried the Afternoon Tea and it was supposed to be a nice experience, but unfortunately it happened the opposite, because the large number said we will leave you in the restaurant side and we agreed, but the service was very slow and when we complained to the person serving us, her comments were disrespectful and they served the dishes with wooden boards in a way different from the usual experience.

A great find! We stumbled on to this jewel by accident and were delighted by the food, service, and ambiance. It didn’t hurt the view that there was a famous 007 at the table next to us. The quiet elegance was a perfect setting for a great art collection and the hotel next door is a great option if you want to stay in this area. I highly recommend both!

We went for the 2 course lunch, food was really good! There's also complimentary cakes because we originally booked for the afternoon tea but somehow our bookings didn't get through the system, so we went for lunch instead. Some minor mishaps with the booking system, but thankfully the nice staff that day made it better.

Whenever there's a day or two where I've barely eaten properly, I start the next day at the LaLee with the buffet's section of high quality fruits, then move on to an omelette, and then the various breads, cheeses, nuts, pastries, etc. Unlike many top London hotels, the atmosphere in the small breakfast rooms is more like what visiting a scenic hotel like Le Trois Rois in Basel is. Mo, Chandra, Erinton on the other hand are very personable and there's a sense of (elegant) community like the great diners of New York, ironically, think of Viand on the Upper East Side or the lost Bruce's in Great Neck.

Looked at disapprovingly by the host upon arrival who frowned when I advised I had a booking. He kept looking at his watch and scrolling thorough thenipad looking for my reservation whilst frowning. The waiter did not listen and it took 3 times foe me to receive a simple orange juice and lemonade. The food order arrived incorrectly and they had the audacity to add a service charge. Dreadful experience.

From the moment Suleyman greeted us at the door, we knew this would be different. We were treated to an evening of wonderful drinks and food, explained to us by the evening's gracious chef, Zach, and fantastic service all around. We were even treated to a bit of a personalized history lesson, with a lesson on the hotel's former residents, Lillie Langtry and Oscar Wilde. Did I mention how delicious the food was? We'll be back...

The bar experience was really good thanks to a fabulous young tender called Leron. Not only is he a wonderful guy, he is a very talented fine artist using charcoal as a medium. We didn't eat this time around. He was constantly smiling, chatty and made an awesome Bloody Mary (minus the celery stick but I'll forgive him 😁). The place is a gorgeous brasserie style bar & restaurant situated next to The Cadogan Hotel. It was previously a bank and then Pink's Shirt makers but now it's a bar & restaurant. The set menu at £45 looked great value. The drink was £20 which is about normal for a 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel.

We were looked after by Yutik on this occasion and I feel compelled to say that this is the level of attentiveness all in the industry should strive for. Real 5* hospitality in this city is hard to come by, and this gentleman delivered above and beyond!

After a rather unwelcoming experience at a hotel bar nearby, we came to the LaLee for a nightcap. Not only were the staff so friendly and hospitable, but they even brought out home made treats for our dog. It really helped save the evening, the LaLee is really special!

I am deeply disappointed and shocked by the level of service I experienced during my recent visit. The concierge and several members of your staff displayed a concerning level of rudeness, which left me feeling unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. On multiple occasions, I was blanked without any apparent reason, which only added to my frustration. As a loyal customer, I had expected a much more respectful and courteous treatment. This unfortunate experience has left me highly dissatisfied and questioning whether I can continue to patronize your establishment. I sincerely hope that you take this complaint seriously and address the issues at hand to improve the overall customer experience.

Stopped by on our walk to get a light bite to eat and some drinks. The place is very comfortable, the food was very good and the bartender was excellent. Unfortunately, the bar allowed young children to run around the bar screaming and making all kinds of noise. They kept running into our bar chairs. They seemed to be related to the host which made it worse. No attempt was made to stop this behavior.

The most friendly staff in London. They were super accommodating and it was really a pleasure, such a contrast to many other restaurants in London nowadays. Food is good, but what made our visit was really the staff. We also bought the dog, who got treats specifically baked for her.

We’ve celebrated our Valentines Day in The Lalee, unfortunately we didn’t like the atmosphere. It wasn’t too romantic, you can hear other tables talking. And the staff kept distracting us by walking around our table, not their fault of course but the layout was not intimate. About the food, starter and drinks was good but our main course wasn’t that good we had a Cornish rack of Lamb its bland no seasoning at all and the sauce called tomato and olives taste horrible there’s a taste of bitterness it doesn’t match the taste of lamb. And the dessert just ok, nothing remarkable. It’s just sad to comment like this as we expected it to be excellent, and I didn’t feel we got what we paid for. But it’s a no, we’re not coming back again.

A pretty place that is badly run. The open kitchen staff makes an incredible amount of noise, shouts, talks to each other - no manager to take care of it. Stale frying oil. No bread offered with lunch: a pity really - such a lovely place it would have been otherwise.

The place is nice and the food is ok… the service is not as on point as you would expect from such a great brand. Sometimes they weren’t remembering orders or confusing who got what but we got a good experience in an overall for sure. I love their dirty vodka martini!

The staff was not friendly : we were looking forward to dining in a certain room of the restaurant. The lady at the entrance told us she could not take us there, as they were under-staffed and we would not be served well. We went to see the other rooms. Some people were dining in each of them, and there were also free tables. I think they placed us based on how they felt about our looks. The food was good, but this attitude takes away from the enjoyment.

I am a pretty lenient rater so when I decided to give this place a 3 star I even surprised myself. It’s just everything was mediocre. The food lacked flavor and the wait staff was slow. Some of the mixes in food was a bit off and the fish was not fresh. The best food we tried was the steak that was juicy and the cheese soufflé. The schnitzel was good but I’ve definitely had better. Fries were good. For a restaurant that’s within a 5 star hotel, I just expected better. Wouldn’t recommend and there’s better restaurants in the area to try.

The place and food is nice, but the reception made me feel really uncomfortable and weird I don’t know why I have booked online and I saw the restaurant system arranged me a table was in the middle of the dining area but she led me to the corner one. Is that because we are Asian? Plus when I saw the arrangement and she turned off the screen why don’t want me see it? Is this racism?

Had not revisited this venue since the change to the LaLee as I was missing some of the fantastic menu vegetarian options from the old bar menu. I did get a pleasant surprise visiting this time. The food had a lot of flavour. The standard was good but you can tell there has been many changes as it was not as busy as it used to be. Unfortunately the toasted bread was extremely dry and the service was very slack compared to previous visits. The decor and setting itself is beautiful. I do miss some of the fabulous touches that use to exist, such as the complimentary cocktail on arrival. Update: having dined a second time, all of the food was served lukewarm or cold. Has definitely put me off revisiting

Lovely Continental breakfast buffet with beautiful pastries, muesli/granolas, selection of cold meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, gravalax and great variety of fresh exotic fruits and berries. The buffet is £35pp and the buffet plus full/ hot breakfast is £40 including tea or coffee. A bottle of water is an extra £5.50. So Continental breakfast for two including 15% service was more than £85 In my opinion a nice breakfast but way too expensive.

My partner and I regretted choosing The Lalee today for our pre-dinner cocktail experience. The only reason I did not give a 1 star rating (and I rarely give any business a poor rating) is because the stellar hostess was so warm and friendly, unfortunately the warmth stopped there. I did not appreciate the rude treatment and poor service I received after by the wait/management when it should they should’ve had the know how to turn their poor service around to make it in the end a top shelf experience. Unfortunately they did not care enough to bother. I ordered the most expensive glass of French Champagne on the menu, and my partner ordered a gin and tonic. After he and everyone else seated around me, even the 2 tables sat after us, were all brought their drinks, no one bothered to bring my glass of Champagne, or inform me that the restaurant did not actually even have a bottle of it at all, and offer something else. We only discovered this after stopping 2 different wait staff to inquire if and when my drink was coming? After an unacceptable amount of waiting, two men finally approached our table to tell me they actually did not have that French bottle-supply issues. The one I assumed was the manager remained and suggested substituting it with a non -French brand, which I really didn’t want, I agreed to a substitute which was not a rose champagne (they had none) and he made no effort whatsoever to compensate or show any friendly gesture at all for the the staff completely forgetting about serving me at all.. I found his manner talking to me quite uppity and the amount of his pour of the £25 glass of Champagne in no way generous, as it should have been given the poor service experience and excessive wait. He didn’t even bring out a little bowl of olives, crisps or nuts, as we noticed the women next to us had been served with their wine, when he finally came back with the champagne, nor did he offer to discount the price of the glass even a few pounds. Unfortunately for him, we had also just heard him tell the ladies next to us, he determines the amount of the pour based on how he much likes the person he is serving. Well done, I got your point. The final straw was when no one bothered to check in or bring the bill, so we went to the hostess stand to request it. The man there asked how our service was and when my British partner shared his dissatisfaction (extremely rare for him to do), the man told us he regretted that made excuses for lack of staff, but said he would discount our bill for this experience. I thought finally someone cares, but after taking our card to pay the bill he did not discount it at all, and I was charged £25 for the glass that wasn’t the one I ordered. We could have cared less about a monetary discount, but to be mistreated then lied to was just unacceptable. Mistakes in service happen I absolutely know that, but it’s all about how you make the customer feel when you resolve it. I suggest the management her try some humility and kindness the next time they screw up. This could’ve ended up being a five star review by how the well the man could have handled us at the table when he realized what happened but he chose not to care, or strive for that or our return business, which will not occur,

I booked this place in last minute for afternoon tea. Kind uncertain for the quality due to the overall rating (3.9 ? Come on guys),but again,the truth won’t lie,this place charmed me. We welcomed by a special cold soup, then our server Mo introduced us the different tea selection and presented us the afternoon tea set. The whole afternoon tea experience was divine! Each dish presents exquisite, sandwiches, pastries and cakes were just like they come out from Martha Stewart’s cooking book. The taste? Of course surprise me also. Until I write this review, it’s been 4 days since I visited this place but I still cannot forget how flavorful of the cucumber sandwich, sausage rolls, scones and grapefruit cakes are. Thank you Mo, we had a wonderful afternoon tea time!

We went with our friend's recommendation who lives around the corner from LaLee. He discovered the place the night before only even he lives in the area since decades - happy he shared his experience as we had same positive one the next day. The service was excellent. My 6yrs old Son enjoyed the prep of beef tartare and the staff was very attentive and kind to him. Beautiful venue where my kid felt welcomed and enjoyed his food. He gave this 5 stars - I agreed. 🙌

After cutting a horrible experience at a renowned Sloane Square establishment short, we decided to give the LaLee a try and popped in on New Years Eve for drinks and some snacks with no booking. Although nothing was available inside they were quick to offer up a table on the terrace and made fast work of being more than accommodating. The service proceeded to exceed all expectations and was on par with what one would experience at any of the city's top tables. The cocktails were creative and exceptional and the food (especially the Caesar salad prepped table side) was incredible. Hats off to such a friendly and attentive staff. Thanks to you all for turning our New Years evening around and making it one to remember. Wish you all the best success!

Beautiful hotel, it is a real pity that the service at the LaLee restaurant/bar is just terrible. I visited the LaLee a few times before I left London this trip (I take guests there for convenience as I live in the neighbourhood). Each time we encountered arrogant staff (both male and female) with no exceptions (if you are not Italian or don’t look Italian then don’t expect anything decent); extremely slow service (over 30-40 min. to get your food order). If they get your orders correctly the food and drinks are actually pretty good. The manager there should really consider about re-hiring the staff there, it is a total let-down of the nice ambience and the luxury demeanor of the place. The waiters working there are unprofessional and inexperienced.
