Cute cafe tucked away on a side street in Kensington lovely staff very friendly lovely breakfast and coffee

English Breakfast. This is why we chose this cafe as our breakfast location. I won't say what we got under that name, it was delicious. But I missed the loops and sausages. Damage. The place is cozy, the service was fine. A popular cafe, it showed because it was full. Tempting pastries are offered at the counter. Overall, a pleasant place, worth a visit.

I have to say that I am really not into sweet but when I have lunch at Phillies (my favorite local lunch restaurant) I have to admit that I ALWAYS take their Tarte Tatin !!! OHH my God that's the best tart on earth (imagine warm caramelized apples on a crispy crust with a scoop of ice cream) ... and trust me I am French et je m'y connais en Tarte tatin :-) You really have to test it.

I think everyone around me had better food but I ordered the worst Eggs Benedict of my life. Big portion but left most of it. The bagel, stacked in two halves under everything else was dried rather than toasted, the many layers of very thin ham was straight from the fridge, the (nicely) poached eggs were also chilled, and the sauce was very yellow but tasteless...and also cold. And it looked really messy. Positives: lovely service, nice ambience, and they comped me my tea. I know I should have sent the dish back, but my time was limited.

We loved it so much we went back the next day. Lovely food and the friendliest staff. Would highly recommend a visit the cafe Phillies if you’re in the Kensington area.

Cafe Phillies is one of my favorite cafes for brunch! It’s conveniently located off High Street Kensington. The menu is varied enough that you can visit several times with children and they’ll find something they’re happy to eat. I’ve also noted some couples bring small dogs in too. Good coffee!

Pedí el zumo de naranja fresco (£ 6. 50 ) y el inglés completo (15 libras esterlinas . 00 ) . Lo único caliente eran las judías, todo lo demás era tibio. El zumo de naranja estaba bien, sin duda no vale la pena £ 6. 50 ! Agregaron un 12. Cargo por servicio del 5 % (discrecional). Realmente no me gusta cuando los elementos discrecionales se agregan automáticamente a la factura. Tenía un buen ambiente y el personal era agradable.

This place is really quite a gem! Very cosy for a nice Sunday gathering and brunch. The selection is very good. From the food menu to beverage. I came at 10. Was greeted with good and prompt service and enjoyed my bacon n eggs muffin. Really delicious. Will be back in the future to try the lunch.

Came here for brunch after searching for a place online and it didn’t disappoint. All the staff were so so friendly and welcoming creating a really nice atmosphere. The food me and my partner had was amazing too. I had the steak sandwich which was delicious, and my partner had mushrooms with extra bacon on toast. Best bit for her was the bacon was super crispy! Omg the freshly squeezed juices were amazing too, the apple one was the best I had tasted

Despite its lively and buzzing vibe, we’ve always managed to find a table, which speaks volumes about the excellent management and service. Wonderful place to wake up, have a hearty breakfast and start the day. We were here in October and sat outside. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food, from perfect pochesd eggs to full English breakfast to normal croissants, has something for everyone. Had a decent breakfast at Cafe Phillies. It’s a cute little place in Kensington with plenty of options for lunch. I tried both the Croque Monsieur and omelette with feta and tomato and both were average tasting as I didn’t feel they were unique. The pancakes were quite good though and the berries were fresh and flavorful. However, I am not rushing to go back

Highly recommended small cafe with very friendly, quick service. We were there for breakfast, the avocado sourdough bread, salmon bagel and croissants were just as delicious as the cappuccino.

I visited Cafe Phillies because turkish actress Bergüzar Korel has recommended it in the past as one of her favorite places in London, and she was correct. I will certainly go back.

Meal not bad but nothing crazy, a little expensive for what it is. Really long service for just scrambled eggs; and in addition to finish the meal well from small expenses to the obligatory bills.

What truly lovely people run this cafe. I had two of my grandchildren with me, one of whom is gluten intolerant. They had gluten free bread in the kitchen and were happy to make a sandwich for me with it. My other grand child likes cream cheese and this was noticed by a waiter who gave me a wink and brought a pot over for her! Basically nothing was too much trouble - in strong contrast to Gail's round the corner - who could just about manage a chocolate torte for gluten intolerant but couldn't guarantee anything they sold was gluten free.

The best café I’ve been to, respectful people, amazing work, and there fast. As a Muslim not many people respect us just because we wear the hijab but this café has been treating us like we’re family! Not all people treat us like this but I’m so grateful for coming here I’ll keep this café in mind, wherever I come back to London I’ll always remember this and always come back to this café! Friendly service, very clean and cozy spot for brunch. Coffee is very good. Avocado side is more like an avocado salad with a lot of onion that I didn’t enjoy but everything else was delicious. With non-optional gratuity and taking into account portion sizes, it’s overpriced.

I ordered a flat white and a banana bread and I would definitely recommend them both! They were great and so were the vibes of the cafe as a whole. Our server was also very sweet which made our experience especially enjoyable.

Been going here with my family ever since they opened. Definitely our go to breakfast/brunch spot. Food is great, service is excellent and ambiance is comforting. All their food options on the menu are great, I normally go for the full English (personal choice) but would recommend everything. Definitely try this place out if you’re in the neighbourhood.

I have been coming to this place for a while now and had takeaway cofee and many brunches. My favourites are definitely the turkish eggs and steak frite. The owner and team have been nothing short of amazing on every single visit and I have been 30 times for sure. It's hard finding a reasonably priced bistro in this part of town. Cafe Phillies is a little gem, serving excellent egg based brunch dishes. Eggs Benedict and avocado,scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast both highly recommended. With a pot of tea each, £21 a head for brunch. Friendly staff and an international clientele, so great for people watching. It gets busy at lunchtime but the best place in this area

We had a Full English Breakfast, Coffee and some Pancakes there. The Place was easy to find, also free seats for us to sit down. The Breakfast itself was amazing. The grilled tomatos and especially the mushrooms were sooooo good. The pancakes came with fruits and tasted magic. Our flat white (one with oat milk) rounded it all up. We returned here on a trip back to London, after a year, as we had been so impressed the first time. The staff, the food and wine and the place is simply the best in the Kensington area if not in London. It is fiercely independent and is its strength. Great food, great lunch!

We went due to the good reviews but unfortunately my son's egg benedict was cold and he described the sauce as watery. Very disappointing at £15. My granola though was very nice.

The best mama’s orange and almond cake home made, yummy…. It’s a brain food with very polite manager called Ilir; makes you feel at home. It’s vey cosy, full of art, like a Parisian cafe , unique one and only Phillies Cafe, welcoming staff at the heart of Kensington Holland Park entrance.

Today I dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. Located in the best spot, the atmosphere was complemented by high-quality, delicious food. The coffee was outstanding, and both the service and interior maintained impeccable standards. I highly recommend it for a delightful dining experience!

Good location. Great food, high quality, cant complain about it. Coffee and hot chocolate was good. The only downside is that its tiny and I dont like when its table to table in elbow length because then its super crowded and very noisy...it'd be much more relaxed if it was half the amount of tables.

I haven't been to the café for a long time, but it used to be great. Unfortunately the food I was served today was absolutely awful. I ordered eggs royale and chips. Eggs were undone, with runny egg white, served on two pieces of toasted white bread (!!!) and small slice of salmon. It tasted awful, chips were inedible. My friend's shakshuka looked like it was reheated, definitely not freshly prepared, the top was solid and underneath there was a raw egg white. It looks extremely bad, she was afraid to even try it. Such a shame, that the quality deteriorated so much. We paid for the drinks (my juice was great) and left.

We had a lovely brunch at Phillies (mushroom and eggs on toast and avocado and eggs on toast respectively). The service and environment were of a high standard and the owner and staff were friendly. I can heartily recommend it.
