Came here for brunch after searching for a place online and it didn’t disappoint. All the staff were so so friendly and welcoming creating a really nice atmosphere. The food me and my partner had was amazing too. I had the steak sandwich which was delicious, and my partner had mushrooms with extra bacon on toast. Best bit for her was the bacon was super crispy! Omg the freshly squeezed juices were amazing too, the apple one was the best I had tasted

Cafe Phillies is one of the few gems in London that offers consistently superb service, delicious food at any time of day, and a warm, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Tucked away in a fantastic location by Kensington High Street, it’s been our go-to spot for over seven years. Despite its lively and buzzing vibe, we’ve always managed to find a table, which speaks volumes about the excellent management and service. A perfect choice for breakfast, lunch, or a cozy afternoon tea.

Wonderful place to wake up, have a hearty breakfast and start the day. We were here in October and sat outside. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food, from perfect pochesd eggs to full English breakfast to normal croissants, has something for everyone. I opted for a traditional English breakfast, and it was hearty and satisfying. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sausage and bacon were flavorful, and the toast was fresh and crispy. I also couldn’t resist trying a slice of homemade cake, which was simply divine—moist and rich with flavor. The cafe’s selection of teas was impressive, and I enjoyed a perfectly brewed Earl Grey that complemented my meal beautifully. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed while also providing helpful recommendations. Overall, this English cafe is a hidden gem, perfect for a cozy meal or a relaxing afternoon tea. I can’t wait to return to explore more of their menu!

Had a decent breakfast at Cafe Phillies. It’s a cute little place in Kensington with plenty of options for lunch. I tried both the Croque Monsieur and omelette with feta and tomato and both were average tasting as I didn’t feel they were unique. The pancakes were quite good though and the berries were fresh and flavorful. However, I am not rushing to go back

Highly recommended small cafe with very friendly, quick service. We were there for breakfast, the avocado sourdough bread, salmon bagel and croissants were just as delicious as the cappuccino.

I visited Cafe Phillies because turkish actress Bergüzar Korel has recommended it in the past as one of her favorite places in London, and she was correct. I will certainly go back.

Meal not bad but nothing crazy, a little expensive for what it is. Really long service for just scrambled eggs; and in addition to finish the meal well from small expenses to the obligatory bills.

What truly lovely people run this cafe. I had two of my grandchildren with me, one of whom is gluten intolerant. They had gluten free bread in the kitchen and were happy to make a sandwich for me with it. My other grand child likes cream cheese and this was noticed by a waiter who gave me a wink and brought a pot over for her! Basically nothing was too much trouble - in strong contrast to Gail's round the corner - who could just about manage a chocolate torte for gluten intolerant but couldn't guarantee anything they sold was gluten free.

The best café I’ve been to, respectful people, amazing work, and there fast. As a Muslim not many people respect us just because we wear the hijab but this café has been treating us like we’re family! Not all people treat us like this but I’m so grateful for coming here I’ll keep this café in mind, wherever I come back to London I’ll always remember this and always come back to this café! Thank you for your service!

Friendly service, very clean and cozy spot for brunch. Coffee is very good. Avocado side is more like an avocado salad with a lot of onion that I didn’t enjoy but everything else was delicious. With non-optional gratuity and taking into account portion sizes, it’s overpriced.

I ordered a flat white and a banana bread and I would definitely recommend them both! They were great and so were the vibes of the cafe as a whole. Our server was also very sweet which made our experience especially enjoyable.

Been going here with my family ever since they opened. Definitely our go to breakfast/brunch spot. Food is great, service is excellent and ambiance is comforting. All their food options on the menu are great, I normally go for the full English (personal choice) but would recommend everything. Definitely try this place out if you’re in the neighbourhood.

I have been coming to this place for a while now and had takeaway cofee and many brunches. My favourites are definitely the turkish eggs and steak frite. The owner and team have been nothing short of amazing on every single visit and I have been 30 times for sure. It's hard finding a reasonably priced bistro in this part of town. Cafe Phillies is a little gem, serving excellent egg based brunch dishes. Eggs Benedict and avocado,scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast both highly recommended. With a pot of tea each, £21 a head for brunch. Friendly staff and an international clientele, so great for people watching. It gets busy at lunchtime but the best place in this area

I came here on my birthday for breakfast and it was a lovely experience. It’s very cozy and welcoming vibes from the staff. I ordered scrambled egg with smoked salmon on avocado toast. The eggs were nicely cooked. This definitely a good place to relax and have breakfast.

I just went for a take away coffee but we loved this place. It was cosy and welcoming. Brunch was being served and it looked and smell beautifully. I definitely need to visit it next time I go to Holland park.

We had a Full English Breakfast, Coffee and some Pancakes there. The Place was easy to find, also free seats for us to sit down. The Breakfast itself was amazing. The grilled tomatos and especially the mushrooms were sooooo good. The pancakes came with fruits and tasted magic. Our flat white (one with oat milk) rounded it all up. We returned here on a trip back to London, after a year, as we had been so impressed the first time. The staff, the food and wine and the place is simply the best in the Kensington area if not in London. It is fiercely independent and is its strength. Great food, great lunch!

We went due to the good reviews but unfortunately my son's egg benedict was cold and he described the sauce as watery. Very disappointing at £15. My granola though was very nice.

The best mama’s orange and almond cake home made, yummy…. It’s a brain food with very polite manager called Ilir; makes you feel at home. It’s vey cosy, full of art, like a Parisian cafe , unique one and only Phillies Cafe, welcoming staff at the heart of Kensington Holland Park entrance.

Today I dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. Located in the best spot, the atmosphere was complemented by high-quality, delicious food. The coffee was outstanding, and both the service and interior maintained impeccable standards. I highly recommend it for a delightful dining experience!

Good location. Great food, high quality, cant complain about it. Coffee and hot chocolate was good. The only downside is that its tiny and I dont like when its table to table in elbow length because then its super crowded and very noisy...it'd be much more relaxed if it was half the amount of tables.

I haven't been to the café for a long time, but it used to be great. Unfortunately the food I was served today was absolutely awful. I ordered eggs royale and chips. Eggs were undone, with runny egg white, served on two pieces of toasted white bread (!!!) and small slice of salmon. It tasted awful, chips were inedible. My friend's shakshuka looked like it was reheated, definitely not freshly prepared, the top was solid and underneath there was a raw egg white. It looks extremely bad, she was afraid to even try it. Such a shame, that the quality deteriorated so much. We paid for the drinks (my juice was great) and left.

We made a last minute reservation for breakfast and we did not regret this! Food was delicious, service was excellent. I would recommend the apple tarte tatin, best apple pie I ever had. I would definitely recommend this place and next time when I am in London I will definitely go there again.

The only problem this place has is that everyone knows how good it is! I have been coming for years and I am glad to see they always hire quality staff and serve good food and drink. They have reinvented themselves several times while staying true to their identity. I love visiting that place when I return to London from time to time. See you soon

Food was terrible. Service inattentive and average, but somewhat warm and passable. Atmosphere was great! Cosy on a cold morning. Shame the food was the worst we’d had in a very long time. Bland and unseasoned, flavourless, very poorly cooked. We ordered simple dishes and they were simply horrible. Wouldn’t order food from here again.

Very poor service. Sit down to a table got a menu and waiting for 15 minutes for someone come to place the order. Three times told the staff I am ready to order, they always said 1 minutes. After 15 minutes just left the Cafe.

This was an exceptional restaurant to eat in. The atmosphere was very captivating and had a very Parisian feel. I ordered a croque monsieur which was absolutely delicious. It had a very nice presentation and was cut into good bite-sized fingers. It had a perfect crunch to the bread, and the perfect proportions or ham to cheese. I recommend this for small children as well. My dad ordered the eggs royale and he said that the poached egg was perfectly cooked, the hollandaise sauce and salmon were very tasty, although the muffin could have been a bit crispier. My mum ordered an egg and avocado toast. She says that the egg was very well cooked (poached egg), the avocado was well flavoured, although there could have been two pieces of bread. My sister ordered a full English breakfast, and she thought that the sausage, bacon, egg, and mushrooms were very good. The mushrooms were very garlicky, and the bread was good as well. She didn’t think the hash brown was as good though, as it was quite dry, and very small. For our drinks, I had a hot chocolate which was delicious and had a very very nice presentation. The green apple juice was exceptional and had a wonderful fresh, sour apple taste. I definitely recommend this although - it’s not a regular apple juice if children are looking to order apple juice. My dads Spanish latte was a delightful discovery and he says he will certainly be having it again. (My mum says her tea had a very nice tea bag). Overall, that was the second time we’ve been, and it was a very satisfactory experience - we will definitely be back and the atmosphere was wonderful. (I went down to the toilet, and personally I love 90s hiphop. The chefs were listening to some dr Dre and snoop dogg and enjoying the music. It made me happy hearing them sing along!)
