Great bar. I had no idea it was here, but Iso pleased I found it.

Loads of fun in a group - sharing an interesting range of Turkish/Lebanese dishes. Been going to Ev for years - thoroughly recommended.

Don’t go to this bar. They offer discounts online through apps such as Dusk, then you arrive and see you are young women and then try and scam you and get multiple male bar tenders to shout at you and intimidate you. Avoid.

Awful experience. 2 men working on the bar tried intimidating us and snatched oir phones out of my friends’ hands seeing we were young women and they rudely refused to redeem our voucher.

Disgraceful behaviour. Intimidated young girls and shouted them out of the bar for no reason. Do not recommend!

We had a valid discount to use on the app Dusk, they used our phones out of our hands to leave a good review for themselves without giving us our drinks. Then got out male bartenders to intimidate us into leaving. Will not be returning. Would not recommend to women

We ate in the restaurant, the food is always good and the ambience and service is charming.

Nice looking eatery with chic and elegant decor. However, the food was mediocre at best and expensive for what it was. I had the vegan meze which was good in parts but not consistently good. My partner had the hellimil ispanak which was bland. Even the addition of garlic and chilli sauces couldn't save it. We left disappointed both gastronomically and financially.

It’s conveniently located near Waterloo Station, tucked away in a green, serene spot. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail while relaxing in the outdoor seating, where you can feel the gentle breeze. The atmosphere is lovely, and the Pimms, in particular, is a standout choice.

I saw the EM final and the quarter final in this bar, the vibe was soo nice. I miss it

It's like a pub, the place is very good, open and in a nice area. To have a drink and watch games it's great, it just gets very crowded.

I paíd for food 15,50£. Never arrived. When i asked for My order they ignore me i had to leave.. horrible

We ate a delicious Meze: all kinds of snacks (cold and warm) and had the tastiest olives ever. To finish, a delicious baklava. We were glad we happened to walk past here.

The venue is attractive but the food is abysmal. Deep fried - stale and tasteless. I had a mexe Each dip was clearly from a large bucket. Nothing h was fresh. Tiny portions of meat.

This place is a hidden gem under the arches, it's a great little hideout and perfect for either dropping in for some food, nibbles or drinks. I was surprised as thought it might be very busy and glad it was much better. The platter of food was overall great, with lots of good drink choices, nice staff and a big screen for sports. I can imagine in the summer it is a great place to go to. Keeping this one on the list for sure. Very close to Southwark tub and plenty of buses run near to hear. Lovely all around! Good value for money not too expensive either. Solid A**** LDT x

Went here for early Christmas do, the food is very good and the service is great. The atmosphere can be a bit more authentic. The drink prices are high but that's London for you. Overall a very pleasant experience. Will be back

Excellent food, really enjoyed the salmon meze, mousaka delicious and the house wine good. It's a large Restaurent which must be lovely in the summer. A couple coming out as we went in said they would recommend and we would be pleased - we were.

Food quality is very bed but I can't say anything about service workers they tray to do something for cover food quality.

This was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had. The bar staff accidentally splashed beer all over my head and jacket, but gave me a quick glance and never apologized. When I complained, he THREW a napkin at me and told me to go to the toilet. He added that here is a bar, not a restaurant, and that what he had done was the same as other customers spilling their beer. But he is NOT a customer, he is a service provider who is paid for his services. Even if he was one of the customers, he should apologize and not throw the napkin at me. Is this the standard in London? I don't want to believe it.

Didn't eat Only minus about drinks, one barman poured too much foam..and when asked to add beer he refused.. never happened to me before..

The staff at EV are amazing. My 90 year old cousin fell during our lunch there. The staff could not do enough to help him before the ambulance arrived. They even gave a new lunch to the doctor who came to his aid (because her meal had gone cold). The food is excellent too!

Came for my birthday and it was perfect! They gave us a big outdoor table, service was quick and friendly and it was a great chill but fun atmosphere!

Every time I have out of town house guests I bing them to EV for dinner, every single one says its now their favourite place to eat in London. Try the meze menus, never fails to deliver fantastic food at great prices

Service is always fantastic. We're always made to feel welcome and the staff are very friendly. Great selection of drinks, and good measures poured. Their bread and hummus is always good too!

Awful good - had a Meze for 2. Nasty processed bits and pieces. Cold soggy calamari / stale cheese borek. The food is not expensive - but this is no excuse for poor quality

Best bar in the Southwark area. Guys behind bar are 5-star. Reasonable prices, excellent food.

Be honest I’m at this bar every Sunday with friends. Lovely place, diversity beers and really nice place to be especially outside that tables looks like in a beach feeling.

Nice atmosphere and lovely food

..I’ve visited EV and TAS quite a few times and today chose EV because of the garden setting in the sunshine. I was with friends who hadn’t been before and I was confident they would like it and the menu as there was a good choice of items , and I’ve had good meals in the past. However the host who also served us had a miserable attitude. We were polite and always said please and thank you , He never smiled or showed any sign of empathy or customer service skills. Thankfully half way through the service more staff came on duty and when we required anything we received smiles and thankfully they had a happier attitude. At no time did our server ask if we enjoyed the meal and we just felt he didn’t care if we were there or not. We had all worked in customer service areas from restaurants, hotels and airlines, and know that no matter how we felt personally our job was to give good customer service. Having a positive happy mindset towards the customer certainly makes the customer feel at home , welcome and loyal. In turn that can help improve your emotion and attitude knowing that the customers appreciate your efforts. I sincerely hope the management encourage and value their staff and promote good customer service as it then benefits both customers and staff. Although we enjoyed our meal and the surroundings we left feeling sad that this guy wasn’t happy with his job and just hope he finds some positivity to overcome his apathy. I’ll still return to EV and hope that it was just a bad day for him and that we see a happier contented guy next time.

Ridiculous! We entered at 5 in this ‘’pub‘’ me my partner and the stroller, it's not the first time we come, I say that there is no football and in the club there were several empty tables, they sent us away because we have the stroller! Absurd!) We will definitely not come back more useless to say, the owner sent us away laughing in our faces! My son was sleeping and would certainly not have bothered! Ridiculous!

We very much enjoyed a visit to Ev this evening, with tasty, beautifully cooked food and fragrant fresh mint tea to warm us after a chilly day outside. We called in without a booking and were very well looked after. The staff listened carefully to our dietary needs and were happy to adapt dishes to suit us which we appreciated. Thanks for looking after us and we look forward to visiting again, maybe when it's warm enough to sit in the lovely leafy outdoor area.

Appalling cutomer service from start to finish. Food passable. Lovely looking venue utterly ruined by the staff. On arrival no smile. In fact it was as though we had brought something in on our shoes. Although booked for three the ledger showed only two. The manager seemed very displeased with us as though this was our fault and that he was doing us a favour by putting us on a tiny table for two even though the restaurant was empty and there were plenty of empty tables for four. Waitress who brought menus neither smiled or had any eye contact. We then waited AGES to order drinks and had to wave arms like a windmill to attract any attention. Ditto for food order. Food arrived. Noone had ordered the fish we were offered. Taken away. Brought back a second time by the manager who had taken the order. No smile then or now. No. Noone ordered the fish. Taken away with no apology or explanation. I never normally withold a service charge but because we had felt so unwelcome and badly served, at payment time I explained that I would not be paying it. Reaction? Not "I am sorry, what was the problem, is there anything I can do?" But "Fine". I have been here before but never again after a miserable experience and dismissive attitude to the communication of that.

Outside full of plants and flower amazing

Went with a group of friends. Even though I’d phoned to change the online booking from 6 to 8 people and the restaurant was empty they still argued with the first person who arrived that the booking was wrong. No option to chose from a la carte. The set 2 course menu us £30.95 plus service. Meze starter comes without choice, tons of bread and 1 1/2 olives each. House red is £21 and average. Pale ale is over £6 a pint. Service is poor. All bar one main course came out lukewarm or cold. No apology from the waiter just a resigned ‘I’ll tell them’. The manager came over and when we said the food was cold said ‘but I burnt two thumbs holding the plates’. No hospitality, no service, no apology, no care. They brought the pudding menu after clearing the half eaten plates and then when we asked for the bill had to ask for service to be taken off. Will never go back - they won’t care but they should. When I suggested they should have apologised as part of customer service I got a shrug from the waiter and ignored by the manager who was head down in the reservation book. What a waste of money £44 each without the service charge. Dire.

Good beer selection and decent food. Rather cold. Big screen is good for football.

Service here is very poor. Food arrived after 1 hour, only to be taken away again as it wasn't ours. Our food was given away to another party. Did not offer help and could not do anything regarding the order. Staff seem very confused and frantic. Disappointing service at this bar. Feedback: Please reflect on logistics regarding orders More staff awareness and training needed.

The manager and bar staff are incredible. Almost unlimited range of beers, gins, whiskys and other spirits and great atmosphere for sports they play almost everything.

Decided to try this restaurant midweek, but despite an email to the restaurant requesting a booking, a reservation request via their website and several unanswered telephone calls directly to the restaurant, they could not be bothered to reply. This speaks volumes about how they treat their customers.

A group of 8 of us visited last Friday evening for a pre-theatre meal. Three of us chose the Deniz menu which is £19pp for 11 items. The portions were so tiny for 3 people. There was hardly enough for 2. I wish I’d taken a photo as it was laughable that we should pay £57 for this small amount of food. We left feeling hungry. The service was not particularly friendly either. You got the impression the waiters really did not want to be there. Not an enjoyable evening. Will not be visiting Tas restaurant group again.

drinks are extremely overrated and overpriced with regard to its taste, at the entrance - billboard says “happy hour all drinks for 6£” - nothing actually happens cause they ask for full price anyway:) at least members of staff do not need to be rough… sorry

Have been here before and it is an oasis in a crowded London. Friendly staff, good menu, pleasant breeze on a very hot day. 3 of us went for the Sahan menu, at £16.95 for 2 courses looked good. All of us went for the Humus to start, very creamy, great taste and the bread was excellent. 2 of us went for the the Kalamar Tava, well cooked and lighly coated, good size. One Kuzu Koftesi (Lamb) looked great, went down well. Granddaughter was happy with the bread and dipping into the Humus. 2 Efes beers and a lime and soda. Not bad value at £67 plus service. Certainly one of our must go to places.

Turned up 5 minutes late to be greeted by an incredibly rude manager who said our table had been given away as we were late. He was literally glaring at me as he said it and “so do you want a table or not”If I was literally starving I would not go back here

We were a group of 8 people who met up for a drink at midday on the South Bank in London on 9th April. We were then looking for lunch and one of our party had been to EV previously. So we called and booked an outside table, then trouped off for the 15 minute stroll to EV. The Restaurant is pleasantly located in a quiet area surrounded by greenery and planters full of colour. Unfortunately the weather had clouded over and we were happy to find that they were readily able to change our booking for an inside table. The waiter staff were very helpful - the food is based on Greek cuisine and everything is cooked to order. They have a good selection of beers and we were also happy with their fine House Red. Good value and a very enjoyable and very long Lunch.

We had the perfect mezze Pre our young vic matinee and we will come here again. Such a nice atmosphere and environment with attentive staff. The outside greenery was worthy of ‘gardeners world’!

We were seriously underwhelmed. We looked at the photos online and looked forward to an exciting dinner. The starter were good but the mains were so bland. The service was very inattentive and disappointing. Our food and drinks were delivered without staff even speaking. Nobody...

The food is so good and is a great portion size. The meat is cooked through and the service is quick and efficient. This Turkish restaurant is a lovely spot to come and catch up with friends and colleagues . I would easily recommend this...

A huge and high-ceilinged dining space under the railway arches. The menu is standard Turkish fare, nicely prepared and with few surprises.

EV has always been my go to place! I had a large group Christmas lunch booking in Dec 21 and had a great experience. Both the food (especially the mezes) and service was excellent. Staff were friendly, very attentive and accommodating to any changes requested....

I've been a couple of times now and like the relaxed atmosphere, the food is good, the set meals are good value. Great for a group or couple. There's a connected bar next door, outside seating too.

Food was lovely, more than ample without extras. Flavours devine, Turkish White wine lovely. Our Waiter was outstanding made the trip. I will come from Oxford again, just for this restaurent.
