We chanced upon this restaurant while in Shoreditch and seeking somewhere to eat. We were hugely impressed by the friendly welcome, the nice family atmosphere and the excellent food (wide choivce, huge portions and tasty). Recommended.

Popped in for lunch. Nice service. Huge portions. Good price and good quality food and tea. I took some home for a second meal later on as the portions were large. Reccomend.

First time to this Turkish. Matter of factish welcome and though plenty empty tables, directed to seats with little room next to the beat of pots and pans in the kitchen. Not all the dishes arrived and an apology only offered when prompted. In fact if you were any nationality other than Turkish (treated like royalty) you were largely left to your own devices. No question of asking if everything was satisfactory or you needed anything. Food was passable if not a patch on any of the Green Lanes establishments.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious Turkish dishes, beautiful presentation, wide list of Turkish grills and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Lahmacun looks bad. The quality is low in Turkey. I think the quality comes from Usta.

I can't say I didn't like the food, any Turkish food is good. But you can get even better kebab and lentil soup on Green Lanes. For the same (crazy) amount of money, it will be grilled better, it will be juicier and you'll get more salad. Here the pricing feels absolutely inadequate, considering that the same liver shish can be juicy or dry, depending on who's working today. I don't want to support this, even though it's the only decent Turkish place around.

Amazing experience! If you want to taste the best lahmacun in town, you need to visit Tas Firin Restaurant. Shephard salad and the cold mezes are worth trying. Plus, the staff is so friendly. Huseyin was so welcoming and took good care of my table. Strongly recommend!!

Starter was sublim made kindly by Ayse. Service from Huseyin was the only thing that bettered it. Brilliant.

The food is really good, I have been in Bethnal Green for 8 years and have been going to this place forever. Staff is super nice, they are quick and make you feel at home. I am not giving 5 stars because I honestly think they are overpriced. It used to be cheaper and more of regular appointment for me and my friends to have food. Now because of pricing it’s more of a treat that I indulge in once in a while with my partner.

Came for a mate’s birthday, great experience. We really enjoyed the starter specially prepared by Ayse. The service was also fantastic, with Hüseyin making sure we had the best possible time by providing unlimited bread on the house. Would recommend

Regular at this place both eat in and takeaway. However, I was left bitterly disappointed tonight. We ordered food for 4 - including a mixed pide. The pide never arrived, and both the delivery driver and restaurant were blaming each other. Either way - didn't turn up and money was wasted. Edit: Delivery driver came back and apologised as he had left order on his bike. Food was lovely as per usual

WATCH OUT. Normal enough seeming meal. I paid using my own card. My mother's card was scammed for £4.5k from this restaurant. On a different date to when we dined there. Had to get the fraud team for her bank to reimburse it 3 weeks later. Her life savings. It showed 3 transactions were attempted and 2 of them succeeded, to clear out an elderly womans bank account. it was this restaurant taking these unauthorised payments as they showed up as such. She never handed over her card to them so how is it possible? Horrifying. they should be investigated by the police and trading standards.

Great food at reasonable, went during Ramadan once and was served dates alongside to break fast with. Platters are generous too. Seating is a bit cramped but don't have to prebook.

Not sure what’s going on with Tas Firin. Mixed mezes have gone from £7 - £12 for a takeaway?! What used to be an affordable meal is now £50 for two. Oh, and they don’t take contactless which meant they missed out on over £120 of orders with no apology. Odd. Hopefully they get back on track because they are the best around. Such a shame. 2023 - now £14.50 for same mixed meze. Over double 2019 prices. Inflation gouging in action. No thanks.

Best Turkish restaurant in the area

We had an excellent experience at Tas Firin Restaurant on Bethnal Green Road, London. We, a party of four, myself, my partner, our friend and her daughter. We were seated immediately and brought water and bread (better than jail quality, I know) along with clean cutlery and napkins. We were given time to formulate our food order while our drinks order was being brought to us. We asked the server to wait as we were still exploring the delights available on the menu and visually exploring the restaurant, the huge wood-fired stone oven for which the restaurant is named and the industry along the side preparing the fresh meals. After ordering three starters and four mains our appetites were well satisfied and we had to ask for a "takeaway" for the remaining meal parts. The prices were reasonable and food excellent and well worth the wait while watching the preparation and cooking of our meals. Atmosphere, because it was a Saturday afternoon, was lighthearted and friendly, and in the evening I imagine the ambience is lovely what with the warmth of the oven central to the overall charm of the cozy seating. Enjoy!

This place is like a real piece of Turkey in London. Top quality and amazing sauces and flavours, potent and spicy but tasty and fun to eat. ¡Un beso desde España!

Managements changed but decent food

After we read a few negative feedbacks, we were a bit sceptic, but we were wrong. The food was amazing, especially Esme salad (our favourite, but the one we tried today was the best one ever), lamb chops and the humus kavurma. Usuf recommended a few different dishes to try, which were so tasty. We will come back and recommend it to our friends.

Living 15 mins up the road, I'd wanted to try the restaurant for a while and opted for an Uber Eats delivery. We had the cold mezze and hot mezze which came to around £30. Luckily I had an Uber discount voucher because this was one of the most disappointing meals I've had. The portion sizes were extremely mean for the price - 2 small pieces of sausage, a few sticks of halloumi and some other rather dry, unappealing, bits and pieces for the hot selection; and for the cold part, the hummus was missing and the rest was underwhelming to put it kindly. The copious amounts of bread was the only appealing aspect. Very disappointed.

I just bought 2 different pides from this restaurant, one came really good and other came dry, extremely cold and tasted as if meat was off. I called to inform them they have no customer services I waited 40minz for a food to throw it away to prevent food poisoning

Amazing Food ! Great service from the waitress and Chefs ! . My favourite has to the grilled onions with pomegranate sauce 😍 . Also the Ezme and Ribs was delicious . Will be coming back.

Exquisito! El mejor turco que é probado nunca. El wrap no está relleno de la típica carne en rollo, se hace a la parrilla y está mucho más buena. La carta es muy variada y el precio normal. La atención es muy buena. Estuvimos 3 días en Londres y dos de ellos comimos allí, un dia para llevar y otro en el local. Muy recomendable!

Really delicious top quality Turkish food. Very good value and generous portions. My favourite Turkish in the area by far. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and never had a bad meal. The mixed grill, lamb ribs, Lahmacun and Tava dishes are especially good. Service is efficient.

What has happened to Tas Firin? We ordered via Uber and it's shocking how standards have fallen and also the pricing and portion sizing! Complete RIP OFF. The lentil soup had no taste and more watery!. The bread was not the traditional freshly made type bout off the shelf. The most shocking is tasteless tatlisi/desert which was they are charging extortionate amount for a small size. A small £1 slice is being charged £5?? Rip off. The taste is not same just taste like Madeira cale diluted golden syrup as base!

I visited this place just over a year ago so not sure about how it is now as it has new owners so this review is based on my experience from that time... It is a shame i do not live in London otherwise i would spend every saturday at this restaurant! Dishes are absolutely flavourful and enjoyed every bite. True authentic Turkish food that will not disappoint. Menu is very vast and has a variety of dishes so you are spoilt for choice. I wish there was a Tas firin in Lancashire! My Husband was missing his middle eastern food and we could not seem to find one in the area that we were exploring so came across this restaurant and he was blown away by the quality. The waiters are very attentive as well and food is cooked right before your eyes so you know it is fresh. Is alittle pricey but then again, everything is in London! Would be nice if you consider opening a branch is Lancashire.

This place used to be great. Sadly since the new management took over, the prices are cheaper but the quality of food is not the same. I ordered Iskender which was not prepared in the correct way. The dish was microwaved badly, which had parts of it cold, parts hot. The bread in the dish was stale and hard.

Words cannot explain how DISAPPOINTING this restaurant has now become. I have been a customer for years and the food as well as the service was amazing. This was before the current owners came into the picture. Today, I walked in on a weekday afternoon for lunch with my kids. We weren’t even greeted with a walk welcome when we came in. When we were seated, the interaction was kept to the bare MINIMUM. When the food arrived, they didn’t check to see if the food was okay. When I asked for salt, the waiter merely passed the salt onto the table carelessly. The service overall was rude, cold and careless. I told the manager/owner about how I felt regarding the service and all he said was “thank you.” He didn’t ask what the problem was or what had happened or why I was unhappy. He didn’t care at all. He shouldn’t even be a business owner in my opinion. 0/10. I do not recommend to anyone going here.

I’ve been a regular for over 10 years. The other day I took my son and daughter for lunch. The new owner had a chip on his shoulder. His attitude whiles severing was unacceptable. How can the owner be so rude and disrespectful to customers. What a shame to what was my local favourite Turkish restaurant. So sad..

Delicious food and superb service!

TL:NR don't go to this restaurant. On Saturday, I had mood for Kebab. I wanted it badly, feeling like I can eat everything from a Kebab shop. Having done my research, I decided to go to this one. Honestly, I couldn't feel more disappointed. The kebab isnt good for my stomach and the stuff is overpiced. I ask for Seekh Kebab and it costs me £9. Seriously? I ordered aubergine lamb . It costs me £14. I coundlt believe my eyes when I saw the bill. The food isn't the best as I have been trying different kebab. Honestly just don't go. Thank me later

I’ve walked passed this place 100s of times but finally went in this month. This place is brilliant from the authentic Turkish food to the brilliant and welcoming service. I had the Adana Kofte and also Hummus and was extremely tasty. Love having places like this in the neighbourhood and will definitely be returning!

I have to say ,I used to love coming to this restaurant it since they changed the owners quality off the food is not the same at all, we ordered Lahmacun which they served to us cold , Lamb chops which was served with rice and bulgur did not tasted fresh , we also ordered ribs which again they served with rice and bulgur didn’t tasted great at all ,meat need it more seasoning at least , we also ordered Iskender which is not usually iskender becuase they make it with adana kofte ,they services could have been better and for that price is not worth it

Food was good. Kofte kebabs were great. Lamb chops were very good. Wings and ribs were very small compared to the usual size in every turkish shop.

Good platters on offer that are a little bit different. Their £40 platter includes 1 Adana Kofte and 1 Chicken Beyti which isnt always the case and they also include hummous in their starter. I apprciate these alternatives a lot so thank you. Food tastes great and is fairly priced. I like the team there also. Have always been friendly and answered our questions with a smile.

Weekday evening. Walked into the place but the idle female staff member near the back hardly moved and from a distance of 20ft or more I asked for a table for 2 to which she said “outside or here” whilst pointing to a small table in a very narrow area at the back. Went for the table inside which it transpired was in a staff area next to a counter with a fridge and dirty plates on top of the counter and rubbish underneath. After looking at the menu for a couple of minutes and hearing the constant clatter made by staff moving though the narrow area I saw a staff member put dirty plates in a basket and push it under the counter. Got up and walked out. Filthy, noisy place with staff that have no manners and they don’t seem bothered judging by the last couple of reviews in tripadvisor. Avoid.

Authentic Turkish and mediterranean grill with friendly/polite staff and a welcoming atmosphere. We are regulars at this eatery which has a wide menu selection with classic dishes from Turkey. Ive often been with Turkish friends who highly rate the taste and also generous portion size. A notable feature is the large grill with bread and kebabs freshly prepared to order. A real gem of shoreditch and worth a visit if youre in the area. Recommend lahmacun and sarma beyti😊

Ordered online using their app for the first time - wiped out with covid so wanted to get food delivered. The app takes your money before confirming delivery address. Didn’t realise till too late that I’d ordered collection not delivery (confusing because the price included a - surely illegal - 20% “tax” that I’d assumed was a delivery fee - there is no VAT on takeaways so they can’t claim it’s that. And I’d even put a tip for the driver, so assumed it was being delivered.) Either way, my mistake and I’m sure if I didn’t have covid I would have been more on the ball. I called up immediately explaining my mistake and could I please cancel the order as I couldn’t collect it due to having covid. I was yelled at by two different men saying firstly they didn’t know how to give a refund, then that it’s their policy not to give refunds, then that the food had been cooked already (impossible as I’d called immediately), then that I should get an Uber to the restaurant, and then bizarrely telling me off for ordering food in the first place (literally “why are you ordering food if you have covid?” as if I was doing something weird). Really unpleasant people who could have shown some humanity to someone who, unwell and exhausted, made an honest mistake, but they chose not to and to keep the money I’d already paid. Finally managed to get a friend to go and collect it for me. Avoid.
