Great service and food. Went again recently following their refurbishment for iftar. Still a great local restaurant serving good tasting food at a reasonable price. Service is great as always.

This small restaurant feels quite cramped, and the heating was poor, making it uncomfortable. Service was slow—salad came quickly, but bread took too long. We had to ask several times for more chili sauce, and the soup, which was supposed to arrive quickly, was late. Food-wise: • Liver Shish – Surprisingly tasty. • Lamb Chop – Dry, chewy,and lacking flavour . Chicken wings - well cooked very tasty • Iskender – Good but not amazing. Overall, the food had some positives, but the slow service and cold setting made the experience less enjoyable.

Tas Fırın has a great atmosphere and excellent staff who make the dining experience pleasant. The fresh bread, salad, and pickles were a nice touch, and the Iskender and lamb liver were of good quality. However, the lamb chops—typically my go-to dish at any Turkish restaurant—were a huge letdown. This was the worst I’ve ever had, which is something I don’t say lightly. The meat was extremely dry, lacked flavour, and seemed to be of poor quality. Given that it’s the most expensive dish on the menu, I expected much better. Unfortunately, it left me very disappointed. Would I return? Possibly—but definitely not for the lamb chops

Taş Fırın Turkish Restaurant in Shoreditch had some hits and misses. The tomato soup was warm and comforting, though a bit on the bland side—it could have used more depth of flavour. The falafel, on the other hand, had a lovely crunch but was slightly too dry inside. The mixed salad was fresh and colourful, but nothing particularly stood out. While the meal was decent overall, it lacked the bold flavours I was expecting from a Turkish restaurant.

Service is amazing. We had a guide dog and the staff not only welcomed us but were so accommodating. My friend felt welcomed unlike many places where she feels a she is a liability. We dined in comfort. The food is superb. Credit to all the cooks and chefs, everything is cooked to perfection. The prawns were just divine. Plump, tasty and juicy. Meats are all cooked to perfection. Not dry, full of flavour and tender. Sucuk is hit and miss due to it being over cooked, however, once again, these were cooked to perfection. Juicy. Highlight has to the homemade baklava. These were simply incredible. No doubt we will be returning and since our experience many of our team have ordered take away.

Super friendly place. They give you SO much food to start before you even place your order! Food was fast, fresh, delicious and at a great price point with massive portion sizes. Would absolutely recommend

Had to update 2025. Haven't been here for years. Used to be 100% best Turkish in Tower Hamlets for sure but can't give 5 star because Haven't ate from there in ages so have to be honest. If I do I will update Had to update because of my past experience and they was on point and couldn't give 1 star. That is unfair

This is a amazing little shop with amazing food. Even the basic stuff on the menu are delicious. All the food they do have an amazing taste because it is cooked in a clay oven. If you like Turkish food this place is a MUST!!!!

The best Turkish food I've ever had

We went to dinner with my partner, we loved it, super friendly, and the food was very very delicious. They also brought us a salad and a kind of pizza pancakes with two separate sauces, very good and free of charge, we would repeat!

We arrived at 6.30pm on the middle Christmas Saturday. We received an amazing welcome, we were a group of 2 adults and 3 children under 10. The service was great, very kind, thoughtful and helpful to my son's. The boys loved watching our for cooking on the charcoal grill. The starters and main course were exceptional, with a truly authentic taste of Istanbul. Dessert and Turkish delight were complimentary, and a nice surprise. This place and the fantastic staff never fail to deliver, still going after 20 years. Thank you! ❤️

Best Adana wrap in town! Nice restaurant and good food whenever I am local I always try and sit in or grab a takeaway if in a rush which I call ahead, the staff are very friendly aswell and always ask how you are :-)

Visiting from Seattle and had an absolutely wonderful dinner here. Appetizers and mains were top notch and the warm baklava and tea at the end of the meal are not to be missed.

Gran lugar para comer. Pan caliente sazonado, ensalada y dips proporcionados de forma gratuita. El personal era genial, todo muy amable y servicial. La carne estaba bien condimentada y cocinada a la perfección - mis dos amigos pidieron chuletas de cordero y yo tuve una sabrosa moussaka. Terminamos nuestras comidas con té de jengibre y limón (delicioso! ) El restaurante es compacto y las mesas bastante apretadas, pero no se sentía apretado. Definitivamente volveré

Perfect! What a pleasant surprise. One of those places you could so easily walk past and not notice but I can’t recommend it enough. Friendly and welcoming staff, exceptional food, and a warm and homely atmosphere. We went to one of the fancy small plate restaurants around the corner and left feeling unsatisfied so looked for something late night and came across Tas Firin. Can’t recommend it enough, every dish we had was excellent and will definitely be back! Get the hummus and shredded lamb!

Update 16/8/2024 First visit again since the refurbishment. Food is just as tasty and good service too. A reliable staple and my favourite Turkish in the area by far. Good value and generous portions. Complimentary salad, bread & dips. I’ve been coming here for a decade and a half and never had a bad meal. The mixed grill & lamb ribs are two of my favourites.

Very very tasty food! It was by far the best meal we had in London. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The greeting from the kitchen was very tasty and was not charged. The other dishes were also very well seasoned and fried to perfection. We will definitely come back on our next trip to London.

Exquisite! The best Turkish I've ever tried. The wrap is not filled with the typical rolled meat, it is grilled and is much tastier. The menu is very varied and the price is normal. The attention is very good. We spent 3 days in London and two of them we ate there, one day to take away and the other day in the premises. Highly recommended!

I cannot say how much we enjoyed this place. They were so accommodating to our group of 6 adults and two children (one big buggy) They were very kind and helpful. Portions were big. And the food was delicious. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you so so much. We hope to be back again. Service with a smile which is unheard of nowadays. We didn’t feel rushed. Just perfect

We only passed by for a drink but we will definitely come back for dinner. The atmosphere is great and the staff is extraordinarily welcoming. We even got offered a desert appetiser!

Popped in for lunch. Nice service. Huge portions. Good price and good quality food and tea. I took some home for a second meal later on as the portions were large. Reccomend.

Best Turkish restaurant in London

Walked in spontaneously and had an amazing meal. Everything was excellent and it was really clear the team was working hard and taking pride in what they do here. Also really nice sitting at the table next to the grill and seeing everything prepared freshly.

It's been some time since I haven't come back. I have to say I felt disappointed. The food went down in quality. I ordered a chicken shish and chicken and rice were OK, nothing special. One of my friends ordered moussaka and he found some cling film in it. We ordered some tap water also and came super hot. I asked for some ice but ice never arrived. I think service was a bit distracted . It's OK but nothing great as it used to be.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Iskinder and Lamichun with meze. Not only was the food amazing the service was good and staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again

This Turkish restaurant is really great. Food is fantastic, I really recommend Iskender Kebab as it tasted amazing. We’ve been here several times since they have reopened. The staff is also extremely nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

Food is fresh. Since the refurbishment, they no longer have the pizza oven for turkish pide, which is the main reason for visiting. Still nice food and lots of seating.

Very friendly and amazing service

First time to this Turkish. Matter of factish welcome and though plenty empty tables, directed to seats with little room next to the beat of pots and pans in the kitchen. Not all the dishes arrived and an apology only offered when prompted. In fact if you were any nationality other than Turkish (treated like royalty) you were largely left to your own devices. No question of asking if everything was satisfactory or you needed anything. Food was passable if not a patch on any of the Green Lanes establishments.

It has been a very long year waiting for them to reopen, food quality has not changed 10/10. If you like turkish food has to be best spot in london. Recommend lamb ribs/chops…. Have been coming here for years.

Not sure what’s going on with Tas Firin. Mixed mezes have gone from £7 - £12 for a takeaway?! What used to be an affordable meal is now £50 for two. Oh, and they don’t take contactless which meant they missed out on over £120 of orders with no apology. Odd. Hopefully they get back on track because they are the best around. Such a shame. 2023 - now £14.50 for same mixed meze. Over double 2019 prices. Inflation gouging in action. 2024 - new management. £15.95. For a chicken shish. £15.95. For a chicken shish?! No thanks.

Most recommended turkish food. We ordered Lam Shish and Lam Tava both dishes are very testy

Very disappointed because we saw they had advertised an opening offer of 20% from Wednesday until Sunday. This was on their socials and on a banner outside. We went on Saturday for lunch with the intention of taking advantage of this offer. However, when were handed the bill without a discount, we questioned it. We were told that this offer had ended the day before. I didn't want to kick up a fuss in that moment, but we feel very let down by this and misled. There are definitely some Consumer laws against this!!

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious Turkish dishes, beautiful presentation, wide list of Turkish grills and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Lahmacun looks bad. The quality is low in Turkey. I think the quality comes from Usta.

I can't say I didn't like the food, any Turkish food is good. But you can get even better kebab and lentil soup on Green Lanes. For the same (crazy) amount of money, it will be grilled better, it will be juicier and you'll get more salad. Here the pricing feels absolutely inadequate, considering that the same liver shish can be juicy or dry, depending on who's working today. I don't want to support this, even though it's the only decent Turkish place around.

Amazing experience! If you want to taste the best lahmacun in town, you need to visit Tas Firin Restaurant. Shephard salad and the cold mezes are worth trying. Plus, the staff is so friendly. Huseyin was so welcoming and took good care of my table. Strongly recommend!!

Came for a mate’s birthday, great experience. We really enjoyed the starter specially prepared by Ayse. The service was also fantastic, with Hüseyin making sure we had the best possible time by providing unlimited bread on the house. Would recommend

The food is really good, I have been in Bethnal Green for 8 years and have been going to this place forever. Staff is super nice, they are quick and make you feel at home. I am not giving 5 stars because I honestly think they are overpriced. It used to be cheaper and more of regular appointment for me and my friends to have food. Now because of pricing it’s more of a treat that I indulge in once in a while with my partner.

I've been dining at Taş Firin restaurant for more than 10 years now. The food is excellent and authentic 👌 the people working there are welcoming and this make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The perfect Turkish dining experience. Highly recommended!!

Regular at this place both eat in and takeaway. However, I was left bitterly disappointed tonight. We ordered food for 4 - including a mixed pide. The pide never arrived, and both the delivery driver and restaurant were blaming each other. Either way - didn't turn up and money was wasted. Edit: Delivery driver came back and apologised as he had left order on his bike. Food was lovely as per usual

WATCH OUT. Normal enough seeming meal. I paid using my own card. My mother's card was scammed for £4.5k from this restaurant. On a different date to when we dined there. Had to get the fraud team for her bank to reimburse it 3 weeks later. Her life savings. It showed 3 transactions were attempted and 2 of them succeeded, to clear out an elderly womans bank account. it was this restaurant taking these unauthorised payments as they showed up as such. She never handed over her card to them so how is it possible? Horrifying. they should be investigated by the police and trading standards.

Great food at reasonable, went during Ramadan once and was served dates alongside to break fast with. Platters are generous too. Seating is a bit cramped but don't have to prebook.

We had an excellent experience at Tas Firin Restaurant on Bethnal Green Road, London. We, a party of four, myself, my partner, our friend and her daughter. We were seated immediately and brought water and bread (better than jail quality, I know) along with clean cutlery and napkins. We were given time to formulate our food order while our drinks order was being brought to us. We asked the server to wait as we were still exploring the delights available on the menu and visually exploring the restaurant, the huge wood-fired stone oven for which the restaurant is named and the industry along the side preparing the fresh meals. After ordering three starters and four mains our appetites were well satisfied and we had to ask for a "takeaway" for the remaining meal parts. The prices were reasonable and food excellent and well worth the wait while watching the preparation and cooking of our meals. Atmosphere, because it was a Saturday afternoon, was lighthearted and friendly, and in the evening I imagine the ambience is lovely what with the warmth of the oven central to the overall charm of the cozy seating. Enjoy!

This place is like a real piece of Turkey in London. Top quality and amazing sauces and flavours, potent and spicy but tasty and fun to eat. ¡Un beso desde España!

Managements changed but decent food

After we read a few negative feedbacks, we were a bit sceptic, but we were wrong. The food was amazing, especially Esme salad (our favourite, but the one we tried today was the best one ever), lamb chops and the humus kavurma. Usuf recommended a few different dishes to try, which were so tasty. We will come back and recommend it to our friends.
