Unfortunately the food lets this restaurant down severely. The Chicken Skewers were way too chewy. The Shepherds Pie was cold. The Mushroom Linguini had no truffle flavour or flavour at all, even a large handful of parmesan could not save this pasta. The truffle parmesan chips once again had no truffle or parmesan flavour. The creme brûlée although not tasted store bought and the sticky toffee pudding was very hard and spongy. Overall not a good experience at all. The only good part of the meal was the sourdough bread and butter.

The server was very abrupt, took our plates away whilst others were still eating, didn't seem to care either when we mentioned some people hadn't finished their food yet... Although the food was lovely, the service was shocking, constantly trying to grab people's attention throughout, we were left waiting and waiting at the end for our bill. After half hour I decided to get up myself to find someone to bring the bill over.. After another 15 minutes I got up again to find someone else for the bill. After it eventually came, we ended up getting up again to ask for a card machine, and at this point, the service charge removed. Although the food was nice, I wouldn't bother returning.

First time here, apart from a loud too noisy table, the atmosphere was nice and quiet, lovely decor. All the team was nice and our waiter in particular, warm service, really polite, the name on the bill was Darryl but I am sorry I am not sure it is the right name. Despite it was busy the service was pretty fast. We tried truffle arancini, zucchini fritti, Stilton and walnuts souffle and fish and chips. Everything excellent. Great cocktail. We will definitely come back.

Really disappointed to rate The Ivy so poorly, I have thought long and hard and I cannot justify increasing any of my ratings. We visited on a Friday evening, booked for a group of 4. We were very excited and looking forward to the experience. Overall we were so disappointed, the food was poor, the service was terrible, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. We got one served one round of drinks, had to try a few times for another round, despite all of the tables around us being attended and spoken with frequently, it was like we were invisible. We didn't make a big deal, as we just wanted to enjoy the experience, as the time went by, we were all just looking forward to leaving. We got the bill, which wasn't cheap as you would expect, and noted the added service charge and asked to discuss our experience as not being very good. The response we received was pretty poor, no questions of why, no acknowledgement of our poor experience, no apology, simply told pay whag yoi want, or don't pay it all if you don't want too. To say we were shocked as that wasn't our intention, is an understatement. We then made the decision as a group to say we could not pay it at all and we would ask for it to be removed, again hoping a discussion would be forthcoming, shockingly it wasn't. The 4 in the group have visited many Ivy restaurants in other cities and always enjoyed the experience, unfortunately this was not the case and we have logged it as you don't always get a good experience as you would expect. We had a 2 night weekend to enjoy, we decided to put it behind us and that is what we did. The following night we visited Jim and Tonic at the Print House before the ABBA Voyage experience. That was a completely different league, from the warmest welcome, amazing server, great atmosphere, lovely food, just fabulous. We added more onto the service charge directly to our server as they absolutely deserved it. It felt like we were not wanted in The Ivy, wasn't nice and doesn't encourage us to rush back to any of them. I sure with time we will.... maybe.....

Pleasant reception at first all appeared good nice table. Food ordered, we were hungry, so ordered a bread course, bread arrived with no side plates, or butter knives, side plates arrived with starters but no butter knives. Bread was not nice, crispy sourdough. You needed a hammer and chisle to get into it, once it the bread was average at best. When the starters were cleared, the table was not brushed down, so I did it myself. Shepherds pie was beautiful and highly recommended, sweed and carrot mash best ever. The other funny thing was my friend had soup to start with, the waiter brought a spoon and explained it was a spoon and it was for her soup!!!!!

Hi everyone, booked the iconic Ivy restaurant this time one of the sister restaurants. Booked for my daughter’s birthday. We were all very excited as the menu looked amazing! The decor is stunning! You really can’t fault anything in regards to looks. It’s beautiful. On arrival we were met by a young woman on the front of house. Very helpful and gave us a table by the bar whilst waiting on our table. Once we sat down this was it. Nothing, not even a hello welcome or anything. Watching staff going up and down passed us all the time. 15/20 still nothing. We wanted a drink. I had to go and hunt someone down! This shouldn’t be the case in the ivy surely?? Waiting and waiting. Drinks arrive and we are ready to go to the table……. That’s right totally forgotten again. We wait and wait. Once again I make the first move. Excuse me. Can we go to our table?? I was told someone will be over. Yep nothing! At this point we feel like we are not really wanted. Finally at the table, sadly again the same thing. Waiting waiting waiting! I had to walk around the restaurant asking for some to take our order. Once done items missed on the starters. Out with children so this wasn’t helpful they were hungry. The scallops were shocking. I mean that. Sorry to sound harsh but no seasoning and massively overcooked. Awful and tiny too! Extremely disappointing. Mains. Kids burgers can’t go wrong? Nope!! Got the order wrong but yet again bland. Black cod with the size of a postage stamp! Oh and one again massively overcooked. Mean done wanting desperately to leave this very bad experience or dining in a should be very beautiful restaurant but we can’t wait to get out. Anyway nope! You got it. All staff not checking on us one bit. Walked around the restaurant again asking for someone to help and take payment massively overpriced payments for extremely bad food. Overall £200 and will never be going back. Asked for details to complain. But nothing given. So sad Overall don’t waste your money. Go to the local chip shop you will enjoy this much much more Emailed back from the supposed manager? But given me an incorrect email address? On the reply? Not great.

We loved The Ivy Asia so we thought let’s give this location a try. We entered the restaurant through the terrace and waited by the door to be seated. Serval members of staff walked past by and no one greeted us. We tried to make eye contact with them but none seemed to be interested. We then walked right in and a woman abruptly said to us-you know that’s not the reception! I was taken aback by her attitude, but asked her where the reception was as there were no signs inside neither! She pointed to a door which didn’t look obvious it would lead us to reception. At this point I wanted to walk out but my partner said let’s just give it a chance. We were seated finally then the most unhappy waiter came to serve us. He looked like he’s had enough and doesn’t really want to be there, so of course no smile, bare minimum service the whole way through. To put cheery on top when we asked to get our parking ticket validated, the receptionist with a stone face told us- we don’t do that during the week, only on the weekends! No sorry, no thank you and no goodbye! I specifically asked about this to the lady who booked my table and she said no problem but never mentioned about only on weekends. Over 200 pounds spent and I wish I’d followed by my first instinct and walked out. One of the worst service I had ever experienced!

I was taken to The Ivy in Canary Wharf for a “large” birthday. I was disappointed. The food was fine but the maitre D’, a tall, slim, bearded young man seemed dead set on spoiling it. First of all he didn’t greet us, or smile; his attitude was supercilious, he clearly had more of a high opinion of being a waiter in a franchised restaurant than I do. He then took us to a table in an orangery type room. I sat with my back to the outside window and it was freezing. Thankfully the rest of the staff didn’t have an attitude problem and were happy to move us to a table in a warm area. The menu was interesting and we enjoyed our choices.

I have found the Manager, Christian, to be rude, argumentative and unhelpful. Sadly, even after explaining the situation a resolve could not be found. It is NOT the customers fault if the offering on the festive menu is not available. To be then forced to choose an alternative is wholly unreasonable. To be then FORCED to pay for three courses when only being provided with TWO courses is poor customer service. Happy New Year.

Truly a heinous experience. The food was atrocious, half of it was ‘out of stock’? Meaning we had to change our order multiple times, then we were CHARGED for the substitutes? An additional £77 for them offering to change our steak to a ribeye because they ran out of fillet. Absolutely outrageous… additionally, we waited 20 minutes for our steak sauce to arrive after asking twice for this to be given to us, by the time it arrived our steaks were cold, either way the temperature didn’t matter as the steaks were chewy and hardly edible. Had to change our dessert option too as our choice was again, ‘out of stock’ - hardly ate my dessert, I cannot even think of another word to use than VILE. I do not recommend, over £100 for a set menu with half the items ‘out of stock’ and the alternatives inedible. Will never be returning and will advise ALL to avoid this place. Felt sick and still hungry after. What a waste of money and time - especially since it was my new years!. Happy 2025 ha.

5⭐ in almost all rounds. With great ambiance & courteous staff from greeting to farewell salutations of the receptionist. We were looked after in the main by a lovely, polite and caring lady by the name of of "Chi". I was celebrating with my family of ten for my daughters wedding. No lift, a great disappointment 😭. Maybe we neglected to inform the staff upon booking of my disability and hence they may have seated our party upstairs, but upon existing the venue, I noticed the lack of space for a party of our size down stairs nevertheless. Too much adjustments would have to have been required for a wheelchair and a party of our size,{ loss of more space?}, but hey, I managed to struggle up there anyway....and boy was it worth it! Great ethos & decor in sage green, up holding the name. Clean good size cubicle & the conveniences itself too.The whole floor was easy for disabled access, even with my crutches. I walked around a few times to loosen my legs & have s look too😂. See if you can implement a disabled/platform lift.

One waiter simply responded ‘I don’t drink’ to several reasonable questions about alcohol choices… we don’t care if you don’t drink pal, but we do care if haven’t the foggiest about the choices on offer at your own restaurant... Service then generally slow and mainly clueless… everything just a bit too painful. Won’t be rushing back.

Many things went kind of wrong from the get go, I am not here to complain about any of those but I will mention them just to add context. 1. There was a dead spider on the table when we got there, we brushed it off. 2. The water jar had some gunky stuff on it, but it was in the outside so we just turned the bottle and out of sight out of mind. 3. It took a while for the orders to be taken but we had a chat so all good. 4. We wanted pancakes, they showed as available online (we checked before booking), we asked the server to make sure, she confirmed they had them, we all ordered breakfast food and then 15 minutes later she came back with menus telling us they actually were not available. Sad but hey, it’s ok. We decided to switch to lunch but while we were deciding what to order instead my food came (I didn’t order pancakes) and I was going to get a burger but hey whatever. I had my eggs royal while my friends were still ordering and just brushed it off, it happens. 5. Drinks arrived after food was there, but it’s Christmas, cocktails take longer, it’s all good. 6. The bill came and it still included the stuff that wasn’t available, which it’s fine but we were just not the happiest with the service we got so I asked her (very politely) to remove the service charge. This is when Gemma or Genna I’m not sure got very passive aggressive, and this is the only reason for my complaint. She brought the new bill, she didn’t show it to us but split it in 3 and started taking payment, I tapped my card and then noticed that the service charge was still showing on the bill so I asked if it was taken out and she said yes, then this exact conversation took place: - Her: this is actually taken out from my wages. - Me: Unfortunately we did not have a great experience. - Her: There are a million Ivys, you should go to any other one. - Me: Sure, I will go somewhere else next time. This is very rude btw. - Her: Thank you for the compliment. - Me: It’s not really a compliment. - Her: Thank you for the compliment. Make sure you complain about me, my name is Genna or Gemma (I am still not sure) Now, I understand we can all have bad days and good days, she was probably having a bad one. The problem here is that I was in fact having a great day after a very difficult week so I don’t appreciate that this lady took it upon herself to ruin it. Me and my friends were exchanging Christmas presents while this was happening, we really weren’t there in a confrontational mood, we were not being rude and we didn’t say a word about any of the things that happened previously. We didn’t have a great experience and the service was not pleasant. The voluntary service charge is not taken from your wages, it’s actually taken from mine, and gaslighting people into paying for it when they are dissatisfied is weird and out of order.

We were told that a table inside would only be available for a maximum of one hour, so we chose to sit outside to avoid any time limits. We sat outside for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order, then my husband went inside to ask if anyone could serve us. We waited another 10 minutes before he went inside AGAIN to ask for service. Eventually, a waitress came out, took our order for a bottle of wine and still water, then went back inside. She brought the water but didn’t return with the wine. After another 5 minutes, now 45 minutes in total, and still no wine, I went inside to explain the situation and let them know we were leaving. The whole experience was a complete waste of time and utterly frustrating.

Food was very nice. But the service was terrible, slow, disinterested, one waiter looking at his phone then when our food was bought over finally, his thumb was in my food, turned my stomach to be honest. I left the piece of food his thumb was in on the side! Drinks orders slow and coming out one at a time. Not great. Also if you have a table in the conservatory the ice rink lasers from across the way fire in your eyes avoid that area if you can!

The place used to be nice but now the manners of certain staff members are similar to those in developing countries. Also don’t order the home made ginger beer, feever tree with one slice of lime lol. They manager of the place can’t cope with high flux of people and does not have hospitality at heart, I will not go again and it used to be a place I always took my friends

This has to be the worst ever restaurant we have attended. It was meant to be special for my daughter’s Birthday lunch. Service was terrible waiter not knowledgeable. Did not want to be there no advice when asking about kids portions. And generally encouraging certain meals may not come with chips. A good waiter or waitress will know that. Wine was warm and had to wait long periods to be topped up. Could have topped myself up. But bucket set so far away. The food for me is 3/10 burgers were over cooked and my sweet potato in the duck curry was undercooked. What a huge disappointment. Other venues of the Ivy are superb. I know what good food should look and taste like. This was an epic goal. You might tell yourself there is always someone going in. Which is true, however I would have rather saved my money. You were not cheap to provide a 1 star meal. At this rate should have taken my daughter to McDonalds. At least I know what to expect. What a waste of my family time I will never get back. Serving garbage.

my absolute favourite lunch spot! 🍽️ It's not just a restaurant, it's a whole vibe! The kind of place where me and my mates often gather for a grand lunch escapade. 😊🍲 The crew... oh, they're a right riot! 🙌 They have a knack for remembering faces and they're always so accommodating, trying to slot us in at our regular time. It just feels like home! 🏠 And the service? Top-notch and super swift! 🏃‍♂️⏰ Really, it's the whole package. So if you're looking for a spot to grab a bite, or even a sumptuous dinner, this is your place to be. Trust me, it's especially breathtaking in the summer. ☀️🌺 So, when are you joining us for a lunch date? 🤗🍹

Food and interior is lovely, but I feel like the service levels could be improved. I appreciate it is a very busy restaurant, but we oftentimes have to wait more than 30mins in-between courses, which is not enjoyable for me as by that point I am no longer hungry.

This is the 4th Ivy we have dined at in London, and it is unfortunately the worst one we have tried so far. We did not receive our olives until we prompted our waiter, our mains were delivered before our starters were cleared, and the wine with our mains was not delivered until we queried it part way through the meal. The food was great, but the service unfortunately fell short of the mark.

Really enjoyable visit to The Ivy. We only booked the day before but managed to secure a table for 4 people at 6pm (times were limited). It was really packed, but not too noisy ... tables far enough apart so that people don't end up shouting ... Lovely decor, really sumptuous. And the food was excellent. Definitely high-end for the cost. Wine and cocktails reasonable, given the nature of the restaurant. A real treat.

We hosted a lunch in the private dining room as a celebration & would highly recommend. The room was beautifully presented, with the Christmas decorations in place, for that extra detail. (We even bought the Ivy tree decorations as a memento!) The pre-event support made the organising effortless (for me anyway!) Grateful thanks for to Daniel, & also the team on the day, who made the event so special.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast for Sunday brunch. The meal was delicious, the service was pleasant and suitably attentative. I found the restaurant to be cozy, with moderate sound levels despite being full (which is good) with plenty of natural light. Considering the location, the price was reasonable.

I came here alone to try the food. I ordered the soy-glazed black cod and the Ivy snowman. I wouldnt recommend the black cod. The dish itself is alright, but i think it is overpriced for the portion and taste. The snowman, however, is amazing. Every element in the dish is delicious. I especially love the crunchy pearls added, and the different textures as I dive in to the brownie. My only small complaint is that the ice cream was really hard, almost like an ice cube. But that is understandable as they wanted to keep the structure of the snowman. Also a quick shoutout to Osman. He is very passionate about his job. I see him mentoring and coaching a junior, while providing great service to his customers. He is also incredibly polite and encouraging to his junior. I marvel at his positivity. I saw many plates of fish and chips being served and regretted not ordering that. I guess a good excuse for me to return!

Good yoghurt chicken shish and bread, yoghurt must have been mixed together with the tomato sauce, which is unusual as meat will cool down. Kunefe was decent but expensive at £9.5 for a single portion. Fast delivery in the area, offers on Uber eats, 5* FSA rating.

Service is amazing. We had a guide dog and the staff not only welcomed us but were so accommodating. My friend felt welcomed unlike many places where she feels a she is a liability. We dined in comfort. The food is superb. Credit to all the cooks and chefs, everything is cooked to perfection. The prawns were just divine. Plump, tasty and juicy. Meats are all cooked to perfection. Not dry, full of flavour and tender. Sucuk is hit and miss due to it being over cooked, however, once again, these were cooked to perfection. Juicy. Highlight has to the homemade baklava. These were simply incredible. No doubt we will be returning and since our experience many of our team have ordered take away.
