The food was delicious, and the restaurant is very beautiful but it seems like your staffs don’t like their job!!!they are so angry and not polite , they bring food and I say thank you they didn’t say anything and left!!!they didn’t say hello they didn’t say goodbye .whats wrong with them ? Talk to them and try to understand their problem, it seems like you are not paying them well cause not only one staff but also other staff are the same .there must be a problem

Hazev I have seen your response couple of days ago , regarding the London's cosmopolitan nature restaurant i just want to clarify that i was not comfortable from the behavior not the usage of foreign language because something like this is very understandable and I would like to thank you for your response and i appreciate your consideration to my review and i would defiantly visit again and i did, it was a nice chance for me to try new things and i have been served by nice staff in my 3rd and 4th visits in the last days, thank you so much and i wish you all the best --- This was my second visit as i came the day before as well because i liked what i purchased, but in my second visit i have had a bad experiance with the person who was serving me, she was very rude, i came to the cafe / cold meze side of the resturant ,i requested a take away order and i was being served by a woman ,she seemed very angry while she was doing my order,every time i ask her for more item to add before she finalise my order she gets more angry and put the item in an agressive way while she is exhaling the air through her nose impatiently and angrily , although thare was no queue ,it was just me and a woman came to order tea and someone eles walked in ,but the place was not busy and i was patiently waiting without rushing her, she angrily was puting my order and forcefully beating the tea glasses on the table while she is making them while the tea was not for me, she was talking with the women while they were looking at me from a distance and although i was unable to understand what they were saying i felt uncomfirtable from the angry behavior in total from the begining ,i was making more order and wanted to have more things but i ended up with having some buscuit or something i dont know what it is because i felt uncomftable and wanted to leave very quickly, while i am not supposed to feel like this as a respectful customer, For my previous visit i asked another woman in the same area about the closing time because it was confusing that you were closing at 10 while in google map it states the close is at 11 and once i told her she said no without checking or explaning I have lived in canary wharf for a while until now and saw how good is this area, and i have visited many resturants that were busier and bigger than your resturant and never been treated in this way, and i know how people well treat their customers I have nothing eles to say rather than that i took my order while i am very disappointed from the way i have been served, and just wanted to pass you this review directly redgardless the outcome, as i belive that me as a customer should always be heard and valued and your business is beinh developed through customers' feedback. I tried to contact the restrant to make a complain and they never replied, if you decide to run a restaurant you should first value your customer Also the stuffed vine leaves were not home-made, it was just the ready premade that are stored in cans ,that what they were serving which did not derserve the money

It's definitely a disappointment, the manti they sent as a portion consists of 3 spoons, I specifically ordered 2 and not even one person can get enough of them, it's disgusting and your money is definitely wasted, it's a great rudeness!!! They sent me a plate that felt like an insult

Quite disappointing Ramadan menu. Food did not feel fresh or taste good, service was extremely slow had to wait ages for someone to get us water or our bill.

Absolutely delicious food with excellent service and really easy to get to as its minutes from Canary Wharf station. The ambience and surroundings are also quite good as it’s located off the canal. Food is affordable and the cocktails are wonderful as well.

Very bad Turkish food and dirty. Short waiter can't even speak English . This clown Turkish restaurant is robbing British people of True Turkish food experience. We left our food and did not eat it. I see that they owners are leaving apologetic comments without improving their service. I would stay ways from this place.

Interesting Turkish style Cafe and restaurant. The Meze style of foods seemed new to me. It's nice place near water for a cop of coffee.

The food is nice, however a bit pricey. We had the houmous for starter and the bread was delicious, however the houmous was so bland and creamy it had no taste at all. We all agreed that so much olive oil, cream had been added to it to make it stretch further We felt and it had no texture at all. This was really disappointing given the price for it. However, service was good and the mains were nice

Honestly my hidden gem around this area for about 10 years (to me), every time we come over for a simple, quick, and satisfied lunch, few maze with house bread, plus a big size Turkish tea or a coffee, asking no more ❤️ 👍

Very welcoming staff, delicious food and great setting.

I have been multiple times to the cafe and restaurant and all the times I had a beautiful experience. It has a great strategical location near the river in Canary Wharf. Great place to meet with friends and head for a walk after. Absolutely delicious desserts and Turkish tea is on another level. Absolutely worth visiting, staff members are very welcoming and extremely friendly.

Shocking don’t do it. When you get an applying meal the worst Turkish ever.It was disgusting service from the waiter I had in my life. He made the mistake of not explaining himself properly about the bill and then tried to put the blame on us. Overcharging us.As we entered the restaurant we didn’t feel any welcoming reaction from the waiter. He was rude and instead of apologising and trying to resolve the issue he was telling us not to come to the restaurant! I wouldn’t even go there even if someone paid me!!! Also there’s a language barrier, I suggest the owner should hire people that can speak proper English! The waiter is short.. speaks broken English and have a goatee don’t waste your money in a place like this… 5 years anniversary date got ruined!😡 😡 we would have come again because of the food and atmosphere. But do to the poor behaviour from the waiter. We wouldn’t go there again. Also the waiter rushed us it was near closing time but we checked in 9:30 and left 10:30 because of his rushing.

I recommend it to everyone looking for a Turkish breakfast in London. Pastry and pancakes were very good.

I decided to give one star because the bartender who served me was not correct. In fact, I ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir from France and I received a Chilean bottle for the same price and without any comment from the bartender. After discussion with him, I only had the right to bogus excuses and no excuses/commercial gestures. Although the place was nice, I didn't appreciate this dishonesty!

Overall happy with our visit, we came to eat at the cafe rather than restaurant as we just wanted a tea and something small to eat so we had Turkish tea and Mezzes. It all tasted good and comparing it to other cafes it is quite nice and prices were good.

The place and location are wonderful. The service is also great. The food is unfortunately of poor quality and overpriced. I only had starters - chicken soup and dolma (both really bad), so maybe their mains would be better, but I wouldn't try eating there again.

I was hugely disappointed with the food. Most Turkish restaurants provide complimentary bread and dips, usually factored into the menu pricing, so you're effectively paying for it anyway. Here, we received nothing. Saturday night, they ran out of rice and bulger!! Some dishes need a carb, especially the lamb shank. Some of the lamb dishes had chicken in them, so they were rationing the lamb. Some of the dishes delivered were barely warm, and the restaurant was cold and requests to increase the heat fell on deaf ears. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place

Clean and quite place with good tables where you also have some armchairs close to the windows where you also have a view to the dockland waters, Food is really good and you the option to create your own pack, you have meat, soups, vegetables, more like anything you desire if you want to have a quick meal, However if you wish to have a big meal dinner with the family the place might not be quite fit for that Enjoy

Reserved a table for my friend’s birthday. Easy process, staff were extremely accommodating and helpful with making it a surprise and helping with cake. Our server was amazing and made us felt so welcomed. I’m so thankful to all for making my friend’s birthday amazing, would 100% recommend!

A nice quiet tourkish cuisine restaurant. I ate the Mediterranean platter and a cheese pita. Very fresh and tasty. Also served very pleasantly. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, we were there for breakfast.

V good food plus a class service

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants in London and I was a regular. However their prices have rocketed, portions have shrunk and on two occasions now have experienced the most awful service! So much attitude by the woman behind the counter in the cafe side after she got our order wrong twice. Most recently ordered via Uber eats and it took an hour for the food to arrive. The first two drivers cancelled and the third one waited 20 mins. Food arrived cold and they bear no responsibility. Apparently they don't allow drivers in the restaurant or hazev staff don't have a good enough process to hand off bags to staff. This was a simple order of Borek and chocolate cake to an address less than 10 mins away but took over an hour.

When you go in as friends of like 9 people and they're too lazy to offer an ala carte menu and frankly a very poor standard fixed prix selection of the standard fare cuisine you could get at the local Turkish and likely better quality such as the tenderness of the meats. The traditional shank wasn't even on the fixed prix menu. IMO, go elsewhere. There's too many other good places in CW to be caught in this lazy Middle Eastern joint.

Nice fine dining Turkish restaurant with authentic taste. Everything is tasty and the service is friendly. It is clean. Also good for after work drinks. You could reserve rooms at the restaurant area as well as seated section in the bar area for groups.

Prematurely Closed Table Ruined Our Dining Experience We decided to dine at Hazev last Sunday, attracted by its reputation as one of London's most expensive Turkish restaurants. While we anticipated a leisurely and satisfying meal, our experience was regrettably marred by hasty and confusing service. We arrived at 9:30 PM, believing we had ample time for dinner, given the restaurant's 11 PM closing time listed on Google Maps. However, at 10 PM—still an hour before closing—a staff member abruptly interrupted our meal to present us with the bill, adding unnecessary stress to our dining experience. We requested Turkish tea to round off our dinner. Rather than feeling accommodated, we were hurried as the waiter quickly updated our bill and brought over the card payment machine, without our requesting to finalize the bill at that point. Despite the restaurant's culinary merits, we were left feeling rushed and unwelcome. This was far below the level of service we expected from an establishment with such a high reputation and price point. We won't be returning anytime soon.

The ambience is nice, waterside view. Unfortunately the tiramisu cake was dry, it has been sitting in the shelf to long. The other cakes were amazing. Also open till 11pm so plenty of time to relax.

My recent breakfast experience at Hazev was a huge letdown. Unlike the generous portions and diverse flavors I've come to expect from Turkish restaurants, Hazev served up a disappointingly tiny breakfast that left me hungry and unsatisfied. The plate resembled a small salad more than a traditional Turkish breakfast for the pricy amount of £10.10. In all my years of enjoying Turkish cuisine, this visit to Hazev was a disappointment. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic Turkish dining experience. Save your money and appetite for a better option.

I Loved it. We have been here many times before, and to other Taz restaurant's around London and they are just superb. Fresh Mediterranean style food and menu, reasonable prices, and the restaurants themselves well maintained, well run, friendly staff and a great place for the entire family. Hazev is unique though as it's deli plus restuarant, and the location is fabulous. Highly recommended.

TLDR: high prices and small portions. Been recently to this place with wife. We ordered: 2 meals, 1 small starter to share, 1 glass of wine (the cheapest) and 1 mocktail. We paid a total amount of 70 pounds, which I consider unacceptable considering the small portions we got. In particular I ordered a chicken shish (which I believe was around 18 pounds) which only had 1 chicken skewer (around 5 chicken cubes), a bit of couscous, and a bit of simple salad. We ended up eating the bread, to not leave the place still hungry. The food is good (I am rating 2 stars for this reason, rather than less), nothing exceptional though I must say. The smallest portions I have seen in any Turkish restaurant I have been. I would not recommend. I left the place with the feeling of having paid muuuuch more than the experience I got. In other words: robbed and scammed :)

We were there for the breakfast couple of weeks ago. Average food and poor service to be honest. I do not think I would repeat their breakfast.

Yesterday we came to Hazev and wanted to have some drinks outside, the waiter asked us to move to bar area because all of the sudden they don’t serve drinks in restaurant area. The bar area was full and restaurant half empty, so we asked if we could have drinks there. Waiter (he said his name is Tahir) told us it’s not possible and asked us to leave. I’m not sure if it’s a waiter or the rules of the restaurant but we find it very disappointing, especially since we’ve been coming here every month before that. We certainly won’t ever comeback again and won’t recommend this place. This was my original review but it’s not accurate anymore. «Lovely place to eat, been there many times and always enjoyed both the food and service.»

It’s my second time visiting this restaurant and this time I brought my family with me. I don’t usually leave google reviews but I have to say I was impressed by my visit and happy with the service I received today. Hazev’s a staple if you’re in the Canary Wharf area. Their food and desserts are always tasty and affordable. Whenever I have the time I try to sit there and have a turkish kahve (coffee). This was my first time trying their backlava and it was soft but flaky the true test of a great backlava.

A very pleasant experience there is a bar part of it, next to the restaurant which is roomy plenty of tables. The menu is extensive a la carte with also set 2 and 3 courses Service is automatically included in the bill. The food was very tasty and the Turkish tea to wind up refreshing. Staff very pleasant . Would go there again

Amazing place, beautifully run! We've already been to Hazev a few times in a row, so definitely enough to make an impression. The food is simply IMPECCABLE and so is the service. An elegant, clean, relaxing environment, tasteful piano sounds in the background. Well done to everyone running this little gem of a place!!!

Hazev was amazing!! I came here recently for my good friend's surprise birthday meal and it was just amazing. For starters, I had halloumi with some hummus and some green stuff (not really sure what it was called but it tasted really good). To drink, I had peach juice which I hadn't tasted before. I'm usually on the iced tea vibe but the juice definitely hit the spot. For the mains I have the Hazev mixed grill which had chicken cubes, lamb, couscous but I swapped it for sweet potato fries and some salad and I must say I made sure my plate was clean. Everything tasted so fresh and I enjoyed every bite. The waiters were very professional and gave us a good customer service. I would most certainly love to come back here at some point. Overpriced food - not worth it! The bread was very hard and stale too

This is a very underrated place! The atmosphere with the view, the quality of the dishes and the service are all top notch! I've been coming back here for years now, mostly for drinks with colleagues but also had the moussaka and lunch quiches with salad multiple times before! There's a restaurant and a bar section, both right by the canal! The both have plenty of comfortable seating and large tables (even outdoors)! They have Asahi and Corona on tap, do multiple popular cocktails and have bar food (sharer plates, finger food) as well as restaurant menu too! Highly recommended to check out for your next after work drinks!

It's a nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. We ordered lamb skewer, which is good. But the fried squid is tasteless. No favor at all.

Excellent authentic Turkish food in a great location. Speedy service and great quality. I wasn't fussed with the rose sherbert tho... stick to beer or cocktails!
