Exquisite Platter for four people. Fantastic place to eat for Iftaar Ramadan.( break your fast) Lively atmosphere. Recommend to families and friends. Space downstairs isn't massive. But still roomful. Great service.

The chops we’re tasteless, flavourless. Didn’t look seasoned . Waste of money as it went in the bin

The Lamb Burger with wedges got my heart :) I've been there for the first time 2-3 years ago, at that point i went almost every month if not every two weeks for a looong minute. I recently moved in the area and when I tell you that this is the first thought I had when I saw Mile End is close to me ! It is well and generously served. Very happy customer. Totally recommend.

Mixed Grill was superb (every grilled item had authentic taste and cooked to perfection - loved it), the rice is probably not quiet the Turkish type of rice we would expect (I prefer to have, works better as well) the improper choice of rice hamepers the turkish experience. Stake fries were great with cool deep fry basket presentation. Hot mezze was really good for £10, tasty and piping fresh. Cold mezze portion size was disappointing. Not acceptable at all. The grilled chicken item (not pictured) is really succulent but it is basted in the chilli sauce they serve (like a good PFC chilli sauce). I personally would prefer a different base flavour so the chilli sauce is not the flavour of my grilled chicken!! There's a crossover somewhere between Turkish and a local grilled food/pfc of some sort and there's this need to go to a Turkish only place somehow...(maybe minor adjustments like adjust the rice, have separate menus etc.). Good value. Service is not so attentive but the place is cosy and seating is comfortable even the chairs have leather padding. Recommended for good value, reliable eating.

Some may say a bit grubby and sketch but the food is great and if you want a quick bite on the go you won't be disappointed. Normally get the chicken shawarma wrap to go or chicken shish and rice.

The adana kebab was burned and small in size. Not sure if the small shrunk due it it being overcooked and burned. The other disappointing thing, the chops and ribs have decreasing in size over the years and last night, if it was for the good taste, this would've received a lower score. Please review your portion sizes.

moussaka had no béchamel sauce, but overall the flavour for everything was very good

those weren't nothing like naga wings not hot at all it was four pieces very small £6.50 for that what rip off plus the food should be in the big box not in small and medium boxes.

Shish is our go to. The grilled whole chicken is our favourite as well as the mixed grill & their lahmacun. The brothers at shish always read our notes and try their best to cater to what we’ve requested. They are our regular spot for grilled chicken/turkish fusion.

Worst tasting turkish food I've had. Most of it was burnt and lacked flavour.

This is not the first time we’ve spent a small fortune on Sheesh only for it to arrive minus the salad!! By the time we called and they arranged delivery our food was cold.. makes want to avoid this restaurant all together now.

I got here every friday for half chicken with chips or rice and its amazing! I been coming for almost 3/4 months every friday without a miss and i can tell u the half chicken hot is the best!

Food was great as usual also like that this restaurant uses their own in-house delivery persons rather than rely on Just Eat delivery drivers who are not delivering customer orders and later pretend it was delivered on the app!

Ordered the Shish Special 1 - Decent portion size for 2 people, would have preferred the rice in this meal to be Turkish rice with the vermicelli or bulgur. Great packaging with enough sauces. Thank you

This place used to be good but the quality is so bad now it’s so rubbish this is the 2nd time the food was rubbish I ordered so many times from this restaurant but this will be the last time the food had a very bad smell also well over cooked the rice was off the chicken had a bad smell the was a joke never again

I literally love this place. The meat is nice, tender, nice portions, and they accommodate my frequents swaps between rice and salad or chips lol. Thanks for the patience. Defo recommend

Delivered as stated but given the fact I am round the corner from Shish, my order is always delivered JUST about within the time frame stated.

Little portion of the mixed kebab in a big container with little rice and meat was very hard to chew.

This place used to be very good when it opened 10 years back. But now it’s kind of lost its charm. Food quality is gone down a bit, of course prices gone up for everything and the restaurant needs a very good clean.

I would give higher but the portions are ridiculously small. When I ordered take away, there was a huge container with 2 chickens and only a little bit rice. What the heck? So annoyed! They shouldnt charge so much for small meals.

I have ordered the shish special 2 and full chicken. Shish platter food was under cooked, rice was watery. Very disappointed.

Their homemade chicken shawarma is what everyone comes here for. Some days they’re sold out by 6pm. I’ve eaten homemade lamb & chicken shawarma off a rotating spit, in England, Scotland, Germany & Greece ( many islands & the mainland). But the best is this spot in Mile End. Best shawarma in London. Everything you’d hope for: mature men taking pride in what they make. Homemade hand layered secret spice rubbed chicken pieces. Chilli sauce that is so good I ask for 4 pots every time I go. For £8.50 (eat in or takeaway) you get sooo much meat, with rice or hot flatbread, large salad & 2 sauces. It’s enough to feed 2 hungry adults. The chicken is addictive with their secret spice blend and it’s so juicy. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but do yourself a favour and go here! Best bargain in London. £8.50 for a monster portion of killer food.

Decent place, only ordered as they had offers, better Turkish places to order from, need to compete with ur rivals, need to up your game

Food has always been good, however the past few times visiting here collecting food has always been an issue. I made an order for collection which should’ve taken 15 mins. I get to the shop thinking it’s going to be ready in 2-3 minutes. Next thing you know the guy on the till tells me they didn’t hear the order and then tells me the kitchen did not hear the order so they wil start on it straight away. So instead of me arriving at the place and waiting a few minutes to pick up the food, it took them half an hour for them to make my food. I have been attending this place over the years and only recently within the last 1.5 years there has always been a problem with this shop/restaurant. Don’t let the Cash only sign fool you as well, they take card too.

Food is nothing like before, Chops are gone very small and undercooked, considering the price on the meals. Salad is Not Turkish Salad, very poorly chopped Salad, overall small portion meal, 15 years I have been a customer to Shish and I am very disappointed with my recent order.

I used to love this place for its delicious Asian-influenced Turkish cuisine. However, since it was sold to a Caca, the quality has drastically declined. The food is now disgusting, the salad seems ancient, and the portions are much smaller. The place has become dirty, with stuff lying around everywhere. It’s sad to see it go downhill like this. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I have fond memories of visiting this restaurant frequently in my youth, drawn in by the delicious food. Last week, I decided to revisit, but I was left disappointed with my meal. The chicken was dry, and the salad seemed to be lacking in quality, missing the pomegranate sauce that used to be a highlight. The Lamb shish was descent. While the service was decent, the chicken no longer had the tenderness and moisture I remembered. Additionally, they only accept cash payments.

Quality of the food has gone down hill massively. All 3 pots of the chilli sauces had gone off. The half chicken was bland and tasted not fresh. The shish was okay.

The food used to be quality, but recently, whenever we order from here, the rice is very plain, salad is too tangy and meat usually contain a lot of fats. Overall it is not cooked with the flavor and quality it used to contain. The next day I even became sick, which just shows the poor quality of the food. If you want Turkish, go anywhere apart from here...

Mix shish with rice, bread and salad. Food was pretty good. Rice was really nice though it didn’t taste like traditional Turkish rice. Service: service was ok, the man over the phone was a little impatient when taking the order and wrote down the wrong door number. My neighbours pointed delivery driver to my home.

Everything was nice apart from the lamb chops, which smelled really funky, like they had gone off. I’ve never had lamb that smelled like that. Please use fresh meat, and more seasoning.

I would not recommend this restaurant! my food came over 2 hours late and it was for iftar, it came stone cold I was so disappointed it was my usual shop I get food from but now I would not buy from here again! Disgusting people who work there. I had bad tummy after eating that cold food I am a nursing mum too.

Customer service is ridiculous. Staff are all rude and not fully trained. when I complained about the lady to a man in front about how doesn’t understand what I’m saying and can’t speak English properly after two phone conversations with her and doesn’t understand my order, and also doesn’t understand what is included in the £6 lunch menu, the man simply replied “no problem” rather than taking accountability and apologising. I’ve tried to order many times with this woman and asked what does £6 lunch menu consist of where she said it only includes lamb Adana. After speaking to the man, he said you can have a choice of Lamb Adana, chicken Adana, lamb cubes etc. clearly the staff are not fully trained. I also always get bread included in my meal, however, the last time I went, they said bread isn’t included. The man then said they will “never” give bread with the £6 lunch menu, even after telling him multiple times it happened, he denied it, constantly saying “that would never happen” rather than apologising saying “this must’ve been a mistake if you are saying it’s happened multiple times before, but we will give it to you anyway”. The staff are very defensive and unapologetic and lack accountability for their actions. They need to spend more time training their staff and having clear consise communication as well as working on their customer service skills. They also need to hire staff that speak good enough English to understand a customers order. I’ve spoken to this woman on two occasions and she still is shockingly stupid and untrained and doesn’t understand simple questions.

The food was excellent and the service was top notch. One of my nephews who was a baby threw a plate on the floor and they were really quick to say no need to clean it up, leave it will clean it and their was no extra charge. The atmosphere was really quite they could've added like a speaker and turn in music it was very quite and awkward. But it was still nice

This place is underrated. It has the best lamb ribs and chops in London, cooked perfectly and the seasoning it bang on. Not to forget the grilled chicken- trust me if you haven’t tried it you’re missing out in a local gem.

Cheap and nice food but there’s some staff don’t respect the costumers like they be so aloud when you be having your food . So I don’t recommend for dine in just take away .

Keep wanting payment in cash as they claim that their card machine is broken. Charged £1.50 for tea per person without notifying us when it is complimentary in turkish places. Avoid avoid.

I placed the order at 5.30pm for 8pm they were still late wasn't happy with my order there wasn't enough rice on my platters 4..day by day all there platter are getting smaller and less

It's always nice when you receive the food ahead of time when you choose ASAP. The food as always hot and fresh.

Meats like lamb chops and lahmachun smell off. Price is a bit lower but food quality is also lower. Salad is bone dry, yur suppose to add a couple spoon of olive oil to wet it and give that glazing finish.

Food was not fresh, when I said it to the owner, he told me it’s because we’re closing up??? Like that’s supposed to justify the food tasting old. Simply don’t serve if you won’t provide fresh food. Used to be a regular not anymore, lost my custom

Food: 5/5 the mix grill Shish Special 3 was plenty for 3 adults and there was left over. The meat, chops, ribs and the chicken pieces were beautiful tender and tasty 😋. Service: 4/5 the waiter showed us the table, took the order and gave the glass for the drinks, gave the warm bread with condiments and forgot about the drink which we had to remind him and that was it, he left us in peace and not checking if we wanted anything else or not. Atmosphere: 3/5 the place was tidy but could have been much more pleasant in regards to the cleanliness and WC. Probably needs a fresh liquor of paint.

One of the meals was good, one was not what we ordered. My wife had a gluten allergy and couldn’t eat it. It was meant to be a chicken beyti. Instead it was something else maybe and Iskender.

The food arrived early. Food was poor quality, very spicy (no spice option was available). Only one salad had red cabbage but was off the rest of the salad was mainly onions. Rice was warm but a little hard.

To be honest, I'm not happy about being charged £1 for a tiny pot of Garlic sauce! Little things like this spoil your reputation!...

Once upon a time, it was actually really good. Succulent burgers, flavoursome, and fresh. The burger was overly cooked and some of it was burned. The chips were old and refried. Adana was rice was okay.

I regularly get the half chicken meal and in all honestly the best grilled chicken in town! Surprisingly the prices are actually very good and I hope they keep the prices same! Highly recommend this place. Top food, great staff and very clean shop.

I liked their food it has a lovely fusion to it and a nice flavour, good portion size and a good variety. We had the wings and the lamb burger meals. However the restaurant itself is so sticky, needs a wipe down. Tables sticky walls dirty toilets have water all over the floor- I’d be too embarrassed to take any family and friends here because of the presentation of it. Takeaway here over a dine in.

Nice little place in heart of mile end - tucked away downstairs is the main showdown

Used to eat here all the time but recently my experiences here have been poor. The food doesn't taste as good as it used to but the prices have risen a lot. It's not seasoned as well as it used to be. The platters are tiny and if you don't ask for fresh chips, they'll give you old, stagnant chips. Their lamb burgers are also noticeably thinner and less juicy. It's just sad how far this place has fallen. It used to be really good but now it's average. Hopefully the owner sees this makes the necessary change.
