The lamb chop was tiny and taste was awful and salad was really bad didn’t taste right

Food was good but extremely stingy portions, that was a huge disappointment money definitely wasn’t worth it for what we ate today.

I would not recommend this restaurant! my food came over 2 hours late and it was for iftar, it came stone cold I was so disappointed it was my usual shop I get food from but now I would not buy from here again! Disgusting people who work there. I had bad tummy after eating that cold food I am a nursing mum too.

Customer service is ridiculous. Staff are all rude and not fully trained. when I complained about the lady to a man in front about how doesn’t understand what I’m saying and can’t speak English properly after two phone conversations with her and doesn’t understand my order, and also doesn’t understand what is included in the £6 lunch menu, the man simply replied “no problem” rather than taking accountability and apologising. I’ve tried to order many times with this woman and asked what does £6 lunch menu consist of where she said it only includes lamb Adana. After speaking to the man, he said you can have a choice of Lamb Adana, chicken Adana, lamb cubes etc. clearly the staff are not fully trained. I also always get bread included in my meal, however, the last time I went, they said bread isn’t included. The man then said they will “never” give bread with the £6 lunch menu, even after telling him multiple times it happened, he denied it, constantly saying “that would never happen” rather than apologising saying “this must’ve been a mistake if you are saying it’s happened multiple times before, but we will give it to you anyway”. The staff are very defensive and unapologetic and lack accountability for their actions. They need to spend more time training their staff and having clear consise communication as well as working on their customer service skills. They also need to hire staff that speak good enough English to understand a customers order. I’ve spoken to this woman on two occasions and she still is shockingly stupid and untrained and doesn’t understand simple questions.

The food was excellent and the service was top notch. One of my nephews who was a baby threw a plate on the floor and they were really quick to say no need to clean it up, leave it will clean it and their was no extra charge. The atmosphere was really quite they could've added like a speaker and turn in music it was very quite and awkward. But it was still nice

This place is underrated. It has the best lamb ribs and chops in London, cooked perfectly and the seasoning it bang on. Not to forget the grilled chicken- trust me if you haven’t tried it you’re missing out in a local gem.

Cheap and nice food but there’s some staff don’t respect the costumers like they be so aloud when you be having your food . So I don’t recommend for dine in just take away .

Keep wanting payment in cash as they claim that their card machine is broken. Charged £1.50 for tea per person without notifying us when it is complimentary in turkish places. Avoid avoid.

I placed the order at 5.30pm for 8pm they were still late wasn't happy with my order there wasn't enough rice on my platters 4..day by day all there platter are getting smaller and less

It's always nice when you receive the food ahead of time when you choose ASAP. The food as always hot and fresh.

Meats like lamb chops and lahmachun smell off. Price is a bit lower but food quality is also lower. Salad is bone dry, yur suppose to add a couple spoon of olive oil to wet it and give that glazing finish.

Food was not fresh, when I said it to the owner, he told me it’s because we’re closing up??? Like that’s supposed to justify the food tasting old. Simply don’t serve if you won’t provide fresh food. Used to be a regular not anymore, lost my custom

Food: 5/5 the mix grill Shish Special 3 was plenty for 3 adults and there was left over. The meat, chops, ribs and the chicken pieces were beautiful tender and tasty 😋. Service: 4/5 the waiter showed us the table, took the order and gave the glass for the drinks, gave the warm bread with condiments and forgot about the drink which we had to remind him and that was it, he left us in peace and not checking if we wanted anything else or not. Atmosphere: 3/5 the place was tidy but could have been much more pleasant in regards to the cleanliness and WC. Probably needs a fresh liquor of paint.

Hairy chicken last 3 orders. Was a good place but gone down hill. Portions have reduced with the quality. Sad won’t be eating here anymore.

One of the meals was good, one was not what we ordered. My wife had a gluten allergy and couldn’t eat it. It was meant to be a chicken beyti. Instead it was something else maybe and Iskender.

The food arrived early. Food was poor quality, very spicy (no spice option was available). Only one salad had red cabbage but was off the rest of the salad was mainly onions. Rice was warm but a little hard.

To be honest, I'm not happy about being charged £1 for a tiny pot of Garlic sauce! Little things like this spoil your reputation!...

Once upon a time, it was actually really good. Succulent burgers, flavoursome, and fresh. The burger was overly cooked and some of it was burned. The chips were old and refried. Adana was rice was okay.

I regularly get the half chicken meal and in all honestly the best grilled chicken in town! Surprisingly the prices are actually very good and I hope they keep the prices same! Highly recommend this place. Top food, great staff and very clean shop.

I liked their food it has a lovely fusion to it and a nice flavour, good portion size and a good variety. We had the wings and the lamb burger meals. However the restaurant itself is so sticky, needs a wipe down. Tables sticky walls dirty toilets have water all over the floor- I’d be too embarrassed to take any family and friends here because of the presentation of it. Takeaway here over a dine in.

Nice little place in heart of mile end - tucked away downstairs is the main showdown

Used to eat here all the time but recently my experiences here have been poor. The food doesn't taste as good as it used to but the prices have risen a lot. It's not seasoned as well as it used to be. The platters are tiny and if you don't ask for fresh chips, they'll give you old, stagnant chips. Their lamb burgers are also noticeably thinner and less juicy. It's just sad how far this place has fallen. It used to be really good but now it's average. Hopefully the owner sees this makes the necessary change.

Excellent food and service, I had one piece of chicken shish missing but that's the first time this has happened.

Waiters are half sleeping, they us water no glass no spoons they need to be more alert like this other proper Turkish restaurants out there

Turkish restaurant run by Bangladeshis. Ordered x4 ‘grilled’ chicken wings, x4 naga wings and rice. NEVER RETURNING again. - Very poor customer service (waiter looked like he didn’t know what he was doing and he nor the manager apologised for the oily ‘grilled’ wings. MISERABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL staff. - FOOD was poor quality: stiff chicken wings like they were leftovers from two days ago. Salad and naan bread was a nice touch though. - ATMOSPHERE: dinghy basement. Kitchen is in front of the tables so you can hear the noise. Overall, I had a terrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend coming here to anyone but maybe you’ll catch them on a good day and be fortunate unlike me and the other people.

I love Shish Turkish. Been my go-to Turkish place for years. This time, however, the meat was slightly on the pink side and not cooked properly (particularly the ribs). The food even arrived 30 mins earlier than expected. Please ensure that next time the meat is cooked thoroughly.

Although this is my local and we really love the food, however the food was delivered 45mins early when I specifically put down for 20:30hrs. What would happen if I wasn’t in? Please ensure you read the order!!

Good quality food and decent portion size. The Turkish bread and chilli sauce were fantastic, and the meats were juicy and moist.

Went Shish for iftar during Ramadan, half chicken meal was great but food served early wrapped in cling film which is a downer. Otherwise full house and good food.

We are normally very happy with the food and service which is why we order often from here. This time, the food came 1.5 hours after we ordered, it was all cold (like fridge cold!) when it arrived. The lamb was not thoroughly cooked which is no good for me as I’m pregnant. Meat was chewy. The chips tasted horrible, soggy and undercooked. We appreciate it’s Ramadan which can affect wait times but the quality of the food should not be so poor and no reason for it to be so cold.

I forgot why I stopped ordering from here… I don’t know if it’s authentic Turkish or not but whatever meat they use or what they put on their lamb shish and chicken wings is just horrible and tastes gone off. The meat was so pungent I took one bite of both meats and had to throw the whole meal away, it smelt off and did not taste charcoal grilled or seasoned with the traditional flavours. Not sure why there is oiley greasy sauce on the shish rice when it should be grilled. The portion sizes are tiny also. Complete waste of money wish I could get my money back but there’s not an appropriate option. I had to brush my teeth immediately to get rid of the taste huge disappointment. I don’t feel there is much good Turkish food in east ldn best to go north ldn or Lokma although pricer, the quality is great and it tastes authentic

I have waited 2 hours and still got no food . Rang them they said they are waiting for a driver . They should of just not took any orders if they cant deliver them

The food was horrible. The chicken was supposed to be spicy, it was just slapped with hot pepper paste (was sour). The food was supposed to be delivered 8:15-8:30, it came at 9:20. Tasteless. Not worthed.

Extremely disappointed, yet again. We used to order from here frequently over the past 5 years, but the food has gone downhill. Ordered for Iftar recently and food must have been prepared and left for a long time as everything was stone cold by the time we broke fast. I can understand preparing in advance for the rush, but as I walked in, it was dead quiet. Not too sure what has happened to this place as it used to be a family favourite. Prior to Ramadan, we ordered food too and our go to was a Whole Grilled Chicken and rice with salad. Rice portions have become very stingy and is always tasting as if it’s more than a day old and chicken is flavourless. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

This is one of the best turkish restaurant in Mile End, I love the lamb chops and adana, platters are amazing as they have most of the items in it. The food is so tasty and delicious. Customer service is also good so I would definitely recommend this place :)

Excellent customer service, tried platter 3 which is absolutely delicious with variety of items. Also the place is spacious and my family loves this place. The chicken and lamb grill are well cooked so definitely we're coming back with family and friends.

Too dry, old chicken, old chips

The prices have gone up and the portion sizes have gone smaller, what's going on.

I used to cone here with my family probably once a week for the last 2 years because the price was nice and the portions were nice and also the taste. Today I went and I will never go again. The prices doubled. And the plate of food was half of what it used to be. It was so bad even the grilled chillie was cut and they only have 1/4 of it on each meal. One adana was split in to half and put on 2 plates for 2 different meals. Before they used to put rice on the whole plate and put the meat on top. Now there's 2 spoons of rice and a few pieces of meat next to it. So disappointed. Is definitely not worth the money at all anymore

I order from there but recently they have been giving cold and old food like reheated and put in a box. I dont know what to say about ordering unless they start thinking about quality again

Been eating from here for more than 5 years now, it is one of the top resturants in the whole of Mile End area. 5 star ratings for customer service, freshness of the food, cooked to the perfection and 5 star for being tasty and delcious! They also have another branch in Romford top customer reviews!

My mum collected the food and as she brought it home I realised when opening one of the two boxes that there was only 2 lamb shish and 3 chicken shish when I should of contain 4 lamb shish and 4 chicken shish in the box also the rice was overcooked and the other box that contained the half chicken was completely dry and the marinade wasn't even stuck on the chicken never ordering from this incompetent restaurant again

Order was late and quite cold. Shish was very chewy and fatty, had to throw some of the meat in the bin. Poor quality meat. Filo pastry feta starter was not fresh or authentic. Also binned. In this situation I would expect a refund.
