Nando's Bethnal Green in Tower Hamlets

Not sure where to start… but here goes! I can’t believe I’m writing such a disappointing review for a newly refurbished Nando’s. 1. Food Quality: Every single item we ordered at our table was subpar. The chicken was dry, tough, and almost impossible to enjoy. The chips? Cold, old, and lacking any crispiness – just sad, dry remnants that felt like they’d been sitting out far too long. The broccoli tasted like microwaved mush; overcooked, rubbery, and far from fresh or appetizing. For a place known for bold, fresh flavors, this was an absolute letdown. 2. Service: The service was another major issue. One person in our party of four never received their main course. We flagged down two different staff members at different times to ask about it. Both seemed to listen but then simply walked off without a word – no explanation, no acknowledgment, no reassurance. We were just left there waiting, confused and unsure if anyone was actually addressing the issue. I can’t understand how all the staff we spoke to felt it was acceptable to just walk away despite being directly asked about the missing main. It was a complete failure in basic service and communication, leaving us frustrated and feeling ignored. 3. Kitchen Observations: To top it off, we had a clear view into the kitchen, which only made the situation worse. Despite the poor quality of our meals and the forgotten main, the kitchen staff seemed to be having a casual, fun time. We watched as our final main dish was placed on the counter, taken off to add cheese, put back under the heat lamps, and then removed again after something else was discovered missing. All the while, the kitchen staff were joking around, laughing hysterically at whatever was going on, paying little attention to the food they were preparing. It was as if we were watching a social gathering, not a professional kitchen. 4. Overall Experience: The restaurant looked great after the renovation, but the experience did not match the appearance. It’s disappointing to see that even after investing in a revamp, the management overlooked training and ensuring a high standard of service and food quality. We went in with high expectations, but left feeling let down and unsatisfied. It’s shocking how a place can go so downhill after a renovation. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because this experience fell far below the standard Nando’s usually sets.

Food was amazing. Dessert was delicious. There was a very kind waitress that helped through out.

We was served by Neko, absolutely amazing service! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. It was an unplanned visit but Neko offered a warm welcome and great service! The dessert was also extremely delicious! :)

Usual Nandos place. Service was very fast and the place was full but not packed. Food was well cooked and came to the table pretty quick after dealing with the nuisances of the app.

I been with my family yesterday, i can’t waited to eat , and they bring me boiled chicken?? You take the money but iam not coming never anymore in that place, staff been so rude . !!!!!!

I came here with my husband yesterday, I would like to start of with the fact that there is a particular member of staff I didn’t manage to catch her name but she was very rude and acted like she didn’t want to be there. She was rude to my husband about where we could sit. I would like to add that the toilets were absolutely filthy I work in a restraunt and know in busy times it’s not always ideal to be cleaning the toilet but there was 4 tables and staff twiddling there fingers. Moving onto the food, me and my husbands go to Nando’s quite often and always order the same thing it was our anniversary , there was no olive oil ; no salt in any of the shakers on the table and when I asked for salt the same rude waiter was saying there should be on other tables :( and when I said there isn’t she huffed and puffed and went and got salt. Sauce pots that I payed for already leaking when given to me. Didn’t eat any of my salad that I always enjoy when I eat it at any other branch. Chicken wasn’t great either I’m pregnant and left here feeling really sick. Wish they would have offered a refund

Very bad place, people so dirty the walls been so dirty , the staff here didn’t take quite and clean the ambient, forks been so dirty in this place you can’t find olive oil, iam not a cow to eat just salad, bread is cold, i paid for my food,no one give me the food without money, but bring in right way, don’t be kiding the staff was so rude except the white girl she was so nice ,was only one who smiles with the clients. Ordered food from Nandos Bethnal Green Food never got delievered and serveral calls was ignored. After waiting over two hours i called and was told driver delivered to my doorstep which obviously was a lie. No calls from delivery guy but somehow it says it got delievered on the app. Very poor service

Super easy to get a table and great service! Great food and fun atmosphere. It was easy to order on the app and the bottomless soda is well priced and close to many of the tables for easy access.

Went here for a work do had great time great food fast service and we wasn't rushed out when finished food great atmosphere and great price

I find that the menu has changed

Ordered chicken wings, when opened the box it was just boiled chicken, pink from inside. Also order pita with two chicken pieces inside - bread was off, chicken again boiled, had one lettuce inside. Spicy rice portion only two spoons. Waste of £27.50, called restaurant 100 times nobody answered.

Horrible, ordered 10 chicken wings and it seemed like just boiled chicken. Portion sizes were off and even the Fino pita was really bad. Had just one small piece of lettuce. Been eating at Nando’s since ages and really disappointed this time. Absolute waste of money. Tried calling them so many times and no response at all.

Knocking off 2 stars as I made a delivery and called the restaurant for a leg 1/4 chicken and asked the wings to be cooked well done, neither of which was achieved despite the server on the phone saying she would ensure this is done. Boy, it’s hard to find people who will stick to their word. Had to put the wings in the oven as it was looking pale with sauce on top.

Kid friendly, food is good, very cleane and spacious, staffed can very friendly and helpful sometimes. Takeaway should be arranged in a different location to dine-in customers. Location is great. Parking: paid straight parking if your lucky.

It is what it is. Don’t expect anything, even food being served hot.

Just had the Garlic Churrasco burger, £15.75. With 2 sides. The burger is supposed to have two thigh pieces, but I got 1 piece that was cut in half. The burger was small like a cheeseburger. I was still hungry after the meal. It is way to over priced for what it is.

My first ever visit to any Nandos and I was pleasantly surprised at the good range of vegetarian dishes. Service was professional and the place was clean. Certainly better range and value than any local pub. As really I'll likely visit my local branch with my family in the future.

Great nandos was my local 6 years ago went back not so long and still just as good

First time in Nando’s - amazing experience! At first, we were nicely welcomed by the staff (Ramon) and then the menu was explained in detail and in a very comprehensible manner. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back for more!

Great experience. Sauces well stocked. Plenty of cutlery and plates. Everything was clean and the food was as expected. Lol. They also gave my daughter crayons and an activity sheet which i really appreciated.

I’ve been going to this Nando’s for many years as I live locally and I have to say the last few months this Nando’s has been slacking, a month ago I went with my husband and children and had to wait for over 30 minutes for a table, when we eventually got a table as we was about to order we were told there was no chicken, we was very frustrated as we don’t understand why they never checked to see if they have enough chicken before asking people to wait for their tables. Yesterday we went again with my family to only find out half the things on the menu including chicken was unavailable. We ordered what we can and as my husband came back with cutlery’s and a cup for drinks I saw the cutlery’s were not washed properly and we also had to ask for a different cup as the cup smelt awful. This Nando’s never used to be this grimy until the last few months, either there is a change of management or the manager is slacking as they are clearly not checking these reoccurring issues. I hope they manage to sort these issues out very soon.

Good food, a bit pricey, but not bad. The service was alright, but they didn't check on us or bring us anything more than they needed to such as sauces.

I have a very restricted diet so I had a salad and fried cheese. Food was fresh. Fried cheese was deliciously salty. Chain style restaurant, Mediterranean menu.

Unexpected visit and very glad I did. Food was delicious, quick, hot and fresh. It was right before close so the atmosphere was pretty flat. Service though... AMAZING. Huge shout out to Matt for his excellent service from start to finish.

Had to make a call as left a personal bringing behind they literally said we don’t have it bye and hung up just put me off going there again just no need to be rude, I even went wait hello ??? And they still hung up on me

As a fellow Nandoca, I am extremely picky about where I get my nando's from but hands down this is the best spot. Rico, who is one of the managers and always makes sure that myself and my family have a great experience.

My local I always go back fast and have a quick experience they can do better with the hygiene like sticky tables and floor but overall the staff are lovely and food always hot!

The Sunset Burger was awesome!!! Great customer service. One thing to improve the light wasn't working in one of the toilet.

I recently dined at Bethnal Green Nando's, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Unfortunately, I was served uncooked chicken, leaving me not only disappointed but genuinely shocked. Food safety is paramount, and such lapses in preparation are unacceptable. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly to ensure a safer dining environment for others. Never again

Nandos Bethnal Green E2. Very very slow service. People queing at the door with one person on the cashier. I had to call a staff member and ask for more person to be on cashier to easy the que. Then my food arrived without my spicy rice . I was finish eating when I went to ask what happened to my spicy rice. They forgot. Was not happy with the chef, staff.

I WAITED 30 MINUTES AND DIDNT GET MY FOOD!! I went there at 9PM didn’t get anything! Nothing was available on the app because these amateurs wanted to close the kitchen early, My friend already had his food and as I wanted for my meal 25 minutes gone past and I still had nothing, after my friend asked the team member where my food was the team member started laughing at my frustration and which got me more angry and when he went to check on my order, he was told they’ve made it and the kitchen is closed and they weren’t going to make it, the game came back and said all the food has been given out and started question me which I found rude and unprofessional. Long story short, a complaint will be sent to head office

The manager Martina was brilliant at sorting out a small issue with the yogurt drink for me and my family. We thought it was a "bottomless" drink but it wasn't and she explained really nicely that customers can sometimes make this mistake. The food was nice and the staff were helpful. If Nandos had more managers like this shop many people would be happy. We're happy.

The food was great, the staff were super nice Unfortunately the space is very cramped inside, even stepping into the one mens bathroom stall was awkward as you need to step over the toilet to close the door, combined with the horror show someone had left behind I was kinda sick and I feel like I will have PTSD seeing this store again.

Their manners are very bad, they speak poorly to customers and I have seen delivery drivers also misbehave.

As usual, the food is great, this nandos lacks hygiene, cutlery & plates are dirty at times. Sometimes food is delayed during peak times.

Popped in for lunch..very fast service, the food was great, dining area was not crowded

So basically, I came here with my friends for our GCSEs results day to celebrate and we didn’t even get half of what we ordered. we ordered sides such as chips and garlic bread and more, but the server did not write down our order and we did not receive these things. also we waited a very long time for our food, only to find out that most of our food was given to another table. we waited for a really long time and that was very annoying. we are never eating in the place ever again!!! food was aight tho I liked the free chicken..

Went here recently , lovely staff who are very attentive and the food came out relatively quickly. I made my own custom wrap and the staff here made it happen. Nandos is a very well known chain by now so there is little more I can add apart from that the food was nice and fresh. I asked for perinaise and 20seconds later there it was on my table. All in all a very good experience. I also recommend the peri flamer sauce for the chicken or if you are lucky as a dip. I have to think really hard about a complaint so the only criticism if I absolutely need one is that some of the seating particularly near the drinks machine is a bit snug/tight. Oh and parking is sometimes hard to find 4/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (No photos this time sorry)

Solid Nandos experience here. But I do like a cushion on my chair, and unfortunately this Nandos had lots of the most uncomfortable of the Nandos chair options. Friendly staff and good food here though.

We took a take away dinner for our group and its ready w/in 4mins....and its always taste amazing!!!!

Went for dinner and even though it was almost closing time we were welcomed and served. Food was excellent and staff all so kind and nice. Lovely place and will be coming here always from now on

The manager, Anna, was absolutely brilliant. Despite the restaurant being incredibly busy, she kept a smile on her face throughout with customers and her staff. She seated my husband and I promptly without much delay and was very helpful explaining the ordering process.

The space is a bit on the small side, but the staff and food were great!

The place is a lot bigger than I originally thought. We were seated at the back, which was nice and quiet. The food was good. The staff were friendly and provided paper and crayons to my toddler to keep her entertained. The only criticism was that the air con was too high and the frozen Yoghurt machine stopped working

What can I say that is positive about this restaurant.....unlimited soft drinks. Right, with that out of the way I'll tell you about the worst experience I've ever had at a Nandos ever. My dad has never been nandos, so I thought, today being Eid that I'll treat him and the rest of the family to family lunch. The negatives started immediately, as the staff member who greeted my wife and daughter rudely asked her to sit the front door, which my wife was holding open for my dad who has problems waking for long. Once we sat down to eat, we had to ask for additional plates and these were given out very reluctantly. When the food came all the chicken was overcooked, hard and had no flavour. I could barely cut the chicken breast for my daughters and as a result, they didn't even eat it. Nandos is a stable in our house and I normally go to the ones in Beckton or Seven Kings and have always loved the food and atmosphere. But this was terrible, cramped, dark and not inviting at all. I think this restaurant needs to be modernised and some of the staff need a more positive attitude, as this one lady was rude on 2 occasions and there was no need to be.

Most disgusting branch I have been to. Surfaces and air vents in the toilets look like they have never see soap. Bench seats look like they've seen several accidents. They didn"t feel dirty, but in a restaurant, looking clean is key. Unsupervised kids cupping their hand to the water and ice dispensers, having a slurp then throwing rest back at the machine. Even if the dregs were going in the drip tray, their manky hands were touching the nozzle where the ice and water came out of. Staff walked past the kids doing this and did nothing. Yes they were busy, but where's the hygiene standards? The food was ok though, but we'll go to another branch next time.

Good food. A little on the spicy side. I liked the bottomless Çoke, but that was a little on the pricy side.

I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered my food (half chicken) and came back half cooked all pink inside. I sent it back and still 1 piece was cooked the other wasn't i couldn't even be bothered to send it back the staff seem liked they didn't even care the first time round and I couldn't be bothered. And even know I'm starting to feel sick. I won't be going here again

Enjoyed the plant wrap, just not enough none halal foods on offer, very limited. My order only came after the two people I was with had fully finished. One of then had ordered a second meal, finished that, mine still hadn't come. By the time my food came, they needed to get back to business and I had to rush🥵

Had a very poor experience in this Nando’s, I went as part of a group of 4, one meal did not come out with the others and when we asked where it was it hadn’t been made and took another 15 minutes to come out. I work in catering myself and understand mistakes happen but we were given no apology instead when the meal finally came out it was just placed down and the waiter walked away. Two of us had broccoli as a side and this was stone cold and therefore not eaten, we also had mash potato as a side which hadn’t been stirred leaving it with a skin on the top. We also had 3 wraps which were not very warm and the chicken was dry and hard. Overall not an enjoyable experience as most of our food was left which is disappointing at the price we paid.

Worst experience, I would give it 0 stars if I could. Very badly managed - no cutlery or tissues available, had to ask several times. Once cutlery was available it was dirty - food took 45 mins to arrive despite the restaurant not being busy - food arrived cold, chips soaked in oil - had to ask several times for the table to be cleaned

Ive been to soo many nandos but never had service as poor as this branch. As i walked in it was very unclean looked like the staff aint bothered to clean up after ppl leaving. The card machine wasn't working so i had to order through my phone which was i struggling to do as i have 3 small kids to look after at the same time. Food was soo dry and overcooked didnt look like it was nandos chicken. I did tell the staff they did say they will make another which they did but took longer than the first one they gave me. They made it and left it on the counter under the heat light and not serving it i had to go and get it myself. It was really poor service ever had from nandos. Wouldn't recommend to go to that branch.

Open and welcoming spot in Shoreditch. Fast but tasty food. Excellent fast casual choice.

Ideal place to eat before heading to Leyton Orient to see the mighty Swindon Town. Staff friendly, food good a good experience.

Was told wait time was 20min but was seated 5mins later (which was great!). Service wasn't bad. I did have to ask for my bottomless glass drink several times before actually getting it. Other than that, food was good and served quick too.

Halal little Nandos in Bethnal Green area. I had by far the best sunset chicken burger I had at any other Nandos. It was very tasty, fresh and the perfect portion. I went there with family and friends. We were all happy and satisfied with what we ordered, the price we paid, the cleanness of the restaurant and the customer service we received.
