I’m a big fan of Georgian food and love seeking out Georgian restaurants wherever I go. During a recent short trip to London, I had about three hours to spare and found one nearby. Without a reservation, I took a chance and was lucky enough to get a table for 1 hour and 20 minutes. As soon as I sat down, I was struck by the beautiful decor—filled with vintage Georgian posters, nostalgic memorabilia, and warm lighting that created a lively yet pleasantly calm atmosphere. I asked the kind waitress about the posters and the films they represented, and she enthusiastically shared detailed stories about each, appreciating my interest in Georgia. I decided to order the house’s version of Khachapuri Adjaruli, which was delightful. While finishing my coffee and soaking in the ambiance, another waiter approached me with a polite, apologetic smile. There had been a reservation mix-up, and the next guests had already arrived. Having worked in the restaurant business myself, I reassured them that I understood and was just about finished anyway. The staff’s warmth, respectfulness, and care made such an impression on me that, if they’d asked, I would have gladly rolled up my sleeves and helped in the kitchen. Before I left, I gave them my contact, hoping they could help me find more Georgian memorabilia like theirs. But honestly, I would have preferred to stay, befriend them, and savor more of those small, beautiful moments that life is truly made of.

I'm in 2 minds whether I would recommend this place. It is very popular and indeed food is good although not mind blowing. Their cheese and bread starter is great and I was happy with my trout main. However, it is one of those places where you feel you're just a number and time is precious. 10 minutes before your 2 h reservation comes to end , you're reminded you have to leave. Service is ok but nothing special. Nobody ever came up to ask if our food was fine. I was shocked to discover that my beer cost over 9 pounds. There is a service charge as well. Nice Georgian place and lovely decor but not really a place to relax.

This place has been on my list for a very long time ever since I got it as a recommendation from a work colleague and I was really happy that I finally got to try it with a friend on a Tuesday night. We made a reservation in advance and it was good that we did because it did get filled up after 7:30pm even though it was a week day. We went with the khachapuri (cheese bread) and some salad mezze, as well as the traditional khinkali dumplings. The bread was baked fresh on order but we didn't have to wait long before it was served with the salad together and it's indeed so fluffy and soft. The staff told us to mix the egg with the cheese before eating and it's fun to dip the bread into the filling which was so rich and creamy and super moreish. The salads were all super refreshing and savoury. Went super well with the bread on the side. The dumplings were so huge and rather thick, unlike east Asian dumplings that we are used to eating which was a good cultural experience in itself. But it did get too filling halfway through because of how much dough there was compared to the filling ratio so we got really stuffed in the end but ofc we finished everything off! The beef filling in the dumplings was well-marinated and tender which felt like a comfort food for me as someone from a Chinese cultural background growing up eating lots of dumplings. Service was great. The staff explained clearly to us how to order and was friendly to teach us how to eat the cheese bread. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and quite romantic so it's definitely a good dating spot. It's also very spacious between tables so we didn't feel like we were crammed and that our conversations would be overheard and it's not noisy at all. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and I would like to come back soon and try their stew next time.

Was a little busy when I went on a Wednesday night but managed to get a table and it had a great buzz to the place. Food really hit the spot. -Khachapuri is a must (bread with egg & cheese, can't really go wrong) -Baje was tasty (chicken in a moreish walnut sauce) -Trout was also good. It came with tkemali, a tangy plum sauce & the potatoes were nice & crisp. Staff were very helpful & accomodating when ordering.

Just a short walk from Angel tube station, Little Georgia is a true culinary gem that delivers an unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance is a perfect blend of chic sophistication and cozy warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels both intimate and lively. From the moment we were greeted by the friendly staff, the service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, (a special thank you to George who made the whole experience absolutely amazing, he is very friendly and attentive, he reccomended the best dishes). The menu, a carefully curated selection of innovative dishes, showcases both bold flavors and fresh ingredients, and each bite was an explosion of taste. The slow-roasted pork was succulent and perfectly seasoned. The chef’s attention to detail was evident in every dish. For dessert, the honey cake was a highlight—rich, indulgent, perfect. Every course was a testament to the chef’s creativity and skill. The wine complemented the meal perfectly. Little Georgia is not just a meal, it’s an experience, where the passion for food and hospitality shines through in every detail. Whether for a special occasion or a casual night out, this place is an absolute must-visit.

What a fabulous little restaurant. I visited with my son, who had an interest in trying authentic Georgian food after making Georgian cheese bread at school. We had the cheese bread to start. It was delicious, I would definitely recommed. My son had the kinkali for his main and I tried the pork kebab. The portions were generous and food was really tasty. I also tried a glass of the amber wine. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and it gave it a good atmosphere. Service was very good. The waitress was on her own serving everyone and she worked hard getting everyone's orders and serving them. If we are ever back in Islington we will be back again.

I would have eaten 3 cheese breads on my own. We also tried Georgian wine... I was not impressed. For mains, we got a mix of soups, chicken, and dumplings. Just go here, try it and you may become a regular. We took a chance and booked it with friends on a Wednesday night and it felt like we had uncovered a real gem. Homey, welcoming, interesting decor. But the real "gem" is the food. So unique in flavour profile, carefully and traditionally prepared with obvious pride. The traditional bread (cheese version) is worth the 15 preparation time. I suggest ordering it as soon as you sit down. The beef stew, remarkable. The chicken in a walnut creamy sauce was brilliant. The gluten-free "cornbread with bean spread" was fought over at our table it was so good. Everyone who was not Gluten-free raved on and on about the dumplings. Starters, mains and two bottles of wine £200 for the four of us. Very good Georgian Wine choices were a bonus

Dined here 6 weeks ago for a dinner date with my partner. Arrived 15 mins early, and met with a cold welcome saying they weren’t open yet but let us sit in anyway. No physical menu, and online menu was confusing and unclear due to small text and formatting. I’m gluten intolerant and it wasn’t clear that the GF khachapuri was only in one flavour, and wait staff did not inform us differently - therefore we were charged for items we didn’t want due to the menu being unclear. Also some dishes ordered weren’t brought to the table at all and to top it off there was a hefty (around 10%) service charge which was unjustified given the multiple mix ups. Food was great and well presented but service issues tainted the experience.

It was delicious, a lot of garlic and pepper in the dishes. There were 4 of us girls, we booked a table in advance. At the end, we were offered dessert and a bottle of wine again, but we were full and asked to add 1 dish, which we practically didn’t touch (tasty and filling). And then they simply kicked us out, abruptly removed everything from the table, but did not snatch the glasses of wine from our hands with wine in them (and thank you for that), they put a bag of food in the center of the table, they again told us to clear the table, there was no wine yet It was finished. And for the third time, a cafe employee came up to us and for the third time told us to leave because other people were waiting, although the tables in the restaurant were always freed up. While getting dressed, we finished our wine and were gone. It was very strange. Still, it is not the visitors’ fault that the manager did not calculate the table reservation time and there was an overlap. Although there were enough empty tables in the establishment. In general, some kind of inhospitable game.

Visited lots of restaurants in Georgia. Also ate tons of home cooked meals there) I’m not coming back, neither is my husband. Won’t say anything else. The service is great and so is the atmosphere. But the foods are London-adapted, let’s keep it this way. For Georgian food travel to Georgia 🇬🇪❤️ Update: I see there’s a reply from the restaurant, pointing out to me not being Georgian. Yeah, I’m not Georgian, my husband is. In fact he’s the one who tried most of the dishes and was not particularly happy. I’m glad his mom wasn’t there, she would be so upset. Also blaming customers for not being satisfied is hardly the best way of handling things. Nobody comes to a restaurant to write a bad review afterwards (may be some corrupted people from rival restaurants, but they don’t have to visit, they can just write whatever they want). Think about this. I do wish you best of luck 🤞

The food was good enough that I would go again but a couple of examples: If I’ve paid for a bottle of wine and ask for some ice separately, even if it’s not how you would drink it, please don’t pretend you don’t have any only for me to ask another waitress and have it brought straight away. If there’s food on the table still, hours before closing, and plenty of empty tables around us, please don’t pressure guests into letting you take their food away before they are finished, and then just place the bill on the table without even asking if we wanted a dessert or another drink.

For me this is one of the best restaurants in London (and London has loads of restaurants). I took all my family to try it and they loved it too. Georgia is famous for its exceptional wines and its delicious food. Everything is super tasty from the traditional bread through the salads and mains to the deserts. And each course has a vegetarian option. The service and atmosphere are also great, so if you are looking for the perfect place for dinner - look no further.

Going to Little Georgia is a delight. A beautiful and surreal experience. It was my friends choice for a dinner and turned out to be an absolute surprise. The bread was fresh and delicious. The Meze, chicken in walnut sauce (hot), and the honey walnut cake are absolutely recommended.. what worked for us was as the ease of booking it online, the people there are absolutely lovely.. they also made our lil birthday celebration very special..

I love food and rarely have bad experiences but my experience here was horrible. The staff were not friendly. When the food was served it was almost all cold and they blamed it on the building being a low temperature. One dish wasn’t cold so it made no sense how the other 4 were cold from the building. They said it wasn’t their fault, said they would look into it, and never said anything else to us after. It was super disappointing as I love Georgian food. Wouldn’t come back again after this experience.

The dumplings disintegarted during delivery, it was not packaged properly, it was supposed to come with sour cream which wasn’t even in the bag. Complete waste of money.

I ordered Khinkalis via Just Eat and I dont recommend it as the soup came out of a few, assuming during delivery. The bag was absolutely soaked, they shouldn’t offer this product for delivery if they can’t package it properly. Also, it suggested it would come with sour cream but there wasn’t any in the bag. Not going to order from here again. Massively overpriced for 5 dumplings.

Such a lovely little restaurant! My friends and I decided to try something different and this did not disappoint. Friendly and attentive staff who were so helpful in recommending what to try. The food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. And yes, the bread is worth waiting for.

I absolutely loved our time at Little Georgia in Islington last night. Outstanding food, new taste experiences with herbs and spices I've never tried before, exceptional wine (you must try the Kindzmarauli dessert wine!), and absolutely wonderful and kind staff. As a vegetarian I had some fantastic Lobiani bean stuffed bread, and delicious slow cooked Ajabsandali aubergine stew. The tkemali sauce is just fab! Thank you so much, we'll be back for sure. (No photos as we just wanted to enjoy our meal;)

It used to be a good place but the quality of service has declined recently, and it seems to be going downhill now. This decline is evident in their responses to negative reviews, where their attitude can be observed

I think I prefer the Hackney spot, it's humble in the right way. The food was obviously great and very friendly service - the only thing I fault them is that mid-dinner service the music got very loud and it was a bit unpleasant.

Absolutely devastated our Christmas dinner with friends. Firstly, our table was merely 30 cm from the entrance, making it excruciatingly uncomfortable due to the constant cold drafts from people entering. Additionally, having everyone pass by our table didn't contribute to the cozy Christmas atmosphere we had eagerly anticipated. To add insult to injury, after an hour and a half, just when our conversation began flowing, we were abruptly asked to vacate our table for the next slot, despite not being informed about such a time restriction during booking or upon arrival. In short, choosing this restaurant for a cozy dinner with friends was a grave mistake. I strongly discourage it.

1 star for being redirected to book online after calling up expecting me to spend my time registering with a 3rd party company and entering my credit card information just to reserve a table. How about saving the customer time and effort and booking my damn table? Going somewhere else.

Had a great time a Little Georgia, the staff are friendly and helpful with the items on the menu. The adjaruli khachapuri is amazing, although a bit salty. We had the aubergine starter and the creamy chicken. I think the cheesy bread was the best. It’s a very cute place, try and sit inside the main restaurant, we were sat right by door and were a bit chilly with all the traffic coming in and out.

I preferred white wine before the meal but it was a complete disappointment, its quality was so low it was like drinking water. The starter chicken liver was overcooked and tasteless, very salty The dumpling was boiled well enough and there was bone and cartilage in the minced meat. Cheap meat was used.

It is certainly not a hospitality you expect to see from Georgian people. Shame on you! The unprofessional attitude of staff ruined the dinner, despite good food. The host did not want to give us a table at 7.45pm (!), although the restaurant is closing at 9pm. We literally had to persuade them that we would manage to finish everything on time. At 8.35pm we finished with food and I asked for another glass of Saperavi, and the host said that: ‘I don’t think you’ll manage to drink it in 10 minutes’. Can you imagine? Georgian people refused to pour me a glass of wine. For those who know Georgians it sounds like a joke. I never felt so unwelcome at the restaurant and the staff did everything to get rid of us as quickly as possible. My Hungarian friend was just shocked to see this kind of attitude. And it is definitely not normal, neither in general nor for Georgians, in particular. To be fair, though, the food was nice. Change your attitude to guests! You can not treat them as if they just annoy you when they come. Wouldn’t recommend it.
