The most friendly service from all the staff who served authentic delicious cuisine. Can't fault any aspect of our meal start to finish.

This restaurant has really good food and quality staff and they are clearly showing own Turkish cuisine and culture that’s was really nice

We went there yesterday for brunch and I ordered the Falafel wrap from their brunch menu which tasted stale, super dry and the tortilla tasted stale as well. Their hummus was quite good but overall quality of the full dish beyond disappointing. I could have gone to some other cheaper restaurant for the wrap and honestly gotten a far better quality. The ambiance of the place is nice.

We've been going to this restaurant for some time now and really liked it. Service is great and good food. We also had some entertainment on a Saturday with a belly dance show/lesson, never laughed so much in a restaurant! Always a pleasure when visiting this place.

Today I was unfortunate enough to have dinner at this restaurant . I was recommended very highly of this place and left very disappointed. After having my meal which was fairly up to standard, I asked for the bill from one of the waiters who happened to be near me, he turned up with the bill and a card machine in his hand . After tapping my card the waiter briefly checked if the payment went through and thanked me whilst giving my receipt. Thanking him I left the restaurant and walked out, as I walked a few steps I heard someone screaming from behind “excuse me!” Multiple times and “did you pay!” Intrigued, I turned around and saw that a waitress was coming towards me eyeing me waving a card machine in her hand. As she approached me she repeated loudly “did you pay!”and I responded in a high tone “of course I paid” “ I can’t see you’ve paid on my till” I then countered with, “ have you asked your colleagues whether I’ve paid or not, ask them!” Forget saying sorry I don’t think she felt guilty in anyway I could tell this as she confidently commented “ you cannot shout at me like that” I mean you accused me of dine and dash I have every right to be angry at you It was a very busy time and there were a lot of people around. Looking around I felt humiliated in that situation and wouldn’t wish that upon anyone. This was very unprofessional of her and she didn’t have the right to treat a customer like that in front of all of those people and I hope they do something about this so it never happens to anyone again. Ps: If you eat here and pay, don’t forget to look behind you and see if there is someone frantically calling out “ did you pay!”😂

I highly recommend Gallipoli, the food was so good, the service and the atmosphere.

Delicious set menu and wonderful atmosphere. We were celebrating a birthday so they kindly let me bring a cake and brought it over with candles and music! Very nice and helpful staff as well. Highly recommend!

Had an impromptu Mother' day lunch at Gallipoli, they kindly accommodated us. The food and service was great and the eclectic decor was lovely. Definitely worth a visit again.

Have been going here for 20+ years and loved its authenticity and the fresh tasty food. Haven’t been for a while and very disappointing today. Food was unpleasant. Meze platter was piles of mushy, greasy, unidentifiable dishes. Potato salad - since when has that been a meze dish?? Grilled meats were tough, small amounts of tired limp salad and rice. Yoghurt drink so salty I could not drink it. Not a patch on the tasty good value food it used to be. Decor tired and tables rammed together. Will never go again.

We brought a friend here for an impromptu dinner and were very disappointed with the experience. My husband and I used to come here, or one of the other two restaurants pretty frequently in the early 2000’s, and always enjoyed the authentic food, great atmosphere and service. Tonight it felt like an entirely different restaurant. The service felt hurried and impersonal. For the price of the food I would expect better - not for the waitress to lean right across me to deliver drinks on the opposite side of the table. The food itself was very overpriced; £19.95 for an extremely small vegetarian moussaka, with a tiny side salad. My companion’s meals were also pretty small. We all agreed the taste was fine, but nothing that special or worth the money. On the plus side we didn’t have long to wait before the food arrived. We all ordered the baklava for dessert - mainly because we were still so hungry - which was reasonably priced at £6.95 with ice cream. We just started to tuck in when this ear-piercingly loud music started playing, and we could no longer hear each other to have a conversation. Then a less than scantily clad belly dancer entered and made the rounds of the tables, enticing people to dance with her. Some people did and seemed to enjoy it, but I just felt it was rather inappropriate. We live in different times now and this type of entertainment seems somewhat old-fashioned and sexist. I felt pretty uncomfortable the entire time, not so much from the dancer, but seeing the way men were looking at her. However you feel about it, the music made it impossible to have a conversation for at least 15minutes. We ended up hurrying our desserts and leaving as quickly as possible, which wasn’t how we wanted to finish our meal. It’s a real shame that this will be my last memory of the place as I’m definitely never going back.

The mezze menu was fantastic, offering a delicious variety of flavors. Every dish we tried was delightful, and we left with our tummies happily full. Staff kindly sung happy birthday and helped with cake and candles for the birthday celebration.

Staff were very welcoming. Food was absolutely fab! We shared a dessert between the 3 of us- we were stuffed! Had 3 different jugs of cocktails. They were ok, but couldn’t really taste the alcohol in them. Would definitely visit again.

As soon as I stepped a foot inside it just felt like home, the decor is absolutely beautiful & catchy! We got a Mediterranean breakfast, loads of options, fresh bread & various types of dips. Highly recommend ❤️

On Saturday we came to this awesome restaurant! Very beautiful and atmosphere place. Restaurant staff were friendly and nice. They offered the best place for us. In 20 min food was ready. It was delicious. For sure I’ll come back soon.

went on Saturday evening. bread was under cooked and cold, normally Turkish bread is char grilled and hot. The Sultan chicken was...ok but the potato slices that came with it were sooo over cooked, I almost broke a tooth, and they looked as if they had been bought from Iceland, couldn't eat. if you want good Turkish food go to Kilis on Theberton St, 3 min walk away.

I'm sorry to say but the experience on a Monday was tired. The most disappointing thing was there was no dolma or taramasalata. The Efes beer was nice.

Birthday party with friends. Atmosphere was great, but value for money was terrible. 6 of us had Chef Meze and all of us left the restaurant still feeling hungry. VERY small portions for the price. VERY unusual for Meze. Very disappointing.

Went for birthday party. Table of 7. 6 of us Had the Chef Meze. Tasted nice, but we were all still hungry when we left. Hardly any meat. It wasn’t cheap! You get far more food if you have starter and mains (as one person in our party had). Disappointing!

Went with friends. Very expensive for what we actually had. £28 for the meze board and not a lot of food. Asked for drink which never arrived. Tried charging us for them too! Won’t be going back I’m afraid.

The Meze was a mosh mash of yogurt , humus , beans , and other staff that don’t really go together but it’s okay . The desert , apple pie was warm in the outside and very cold inside . And when we mentioned they only offered to warm it up again . But the atmosphere is great and very cool and tasty . But they need to stop serving everything with a lump of yogurt .

My family and I chose Gallipoli to celebrate my dad's birthday, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience from start to finish. The evening began with a lengthy wait of 10-15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken, setting a tone of poor service. After ordering starters and enjoying them, we decided to proceed with our main course. Shockingly, we were informed that the kitchen had closed, leaving us completely unaware of any closing time or urgency to place our main course order. The waitress exhibited a lack of concern and was unhelpful throughout. To address our concerns, we requested to speak to a manager, but instead, Barash, the bar man, approached us. Surprisingly, he failed to offer any apology or display genuine concern for our dissatisfaction. On top of this, he resorted to using abusive language directed at my father as we were leaving, displaying a shocking level of unprofessionalism and disrespect. The overall service and treatment we received were absolutely disgusting. I strongly discourage anyone from considering Gallipoli for any celebration or dining experience. The lack of communication, unhelpful staff, and disrespectful behavior from Barash made this visit an unforgettable and regrettable experience. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone; it was a complete letdown and a stain on what should have been a special celebration.

We had a large booking of 20 people. That's a lot to cater for in one sitting. But they did it well; food was scrummy, all served at the same time so no-one was waiting, service was delightful & they gave us free drinks in honour of my partner's birthday. The restaurant vibe is great for larger groups. Very reasonably priced and incredibly kind staff.

We went to Gallipoli to celebrate my husband’s birthday, it was one of the few places opened on 3rd Jan. Delicious food and friendly service. In the end the lady who looked after us brought up a surprise dessert for my husband. Everyone had a lovely time, can’t wait to come back

Although we enjoyed the dinner and atmosphere, the menu was misleading and they still have not fixed it. We ordered Chef Delight which contained following items on the menu: Baba Ganoush, Humus, Kisir, Bakla, Cacik, Dolma, Borek, Falafel, Calamar, Butterfly King Prawn, Sultan Chicken, Sultan Lamb However, we did not get served Dolma, Sultan Chicken and Sultan Lamb. And when we asked about it, the waitress said it was a copy paste error. It was quite unpleasant since we could have just ordered mezes individually if we knew we would not get all the items listed. And the fact that they still did not fix the menu is also not good sign. Others can make the same mistake as we did.

The food itself was delicious and the place was also uplifting. It felt like a night that you would hang with friends after work. Even one of the staff name Elif was very sweet, charming and heartwarming. She brings joy to the customers.

Awful. Food was uncooked, cold and dry. It was warmed up which was obvious. We have mentioned this to the staff who couldnt say anything! But yet brought to bill in full… Avoid ! It really isnt worth it.

Really good food. Waiters not paying attention at all , had to ask a few times to get the complete order. On Christmas eve they were rushing everyone out more than one hour before closing time... some other tables could not get dessert , guess we were the lucky ones.

The most amazing food! Everytime I come to London I go to Gallipoli as the food is consistently incredible. It's good value for money and on Friday night they had a belly dancer, was great entertainment. Great service, great food. Highly recommend! The borek, cacik, their meze plate and the fries are perfection!

Very expensive for what it is! Avarage food but nice atmosphere! When you spend +£100 for your bill you are not expecting to be charge £2 for bread or £3,60 for 2 turkish tea!! That's ridiculous!

Although most people say NO to liver Gallipoli"s liver is a most, I had it with hummus and flat bread as a main. Devine, will be having it again and soon for myself. As I had to share with my table as they all wanted to taste something they would never want to try.

Lovely Mediterranean restaurant, service was great, one of our party was running late and we were waiting quite a while but we never felt rushed. Food was delicious, we decided on sharing a lot of tapas type starters. Portions were very generous and absolutely yummy!. A first class meal, highly recommend 👍

Food was very mediocre at best. I had the Mezze, wings and chocolate cake. Mezze was a good portion with decent flavours. Wings were very dry. Cake was satisfactory. I won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately.

Tuesday is a good day to go out to lunch. A warm October day is even better. Glass roof, sun shining in, great famous folks' photos, good food and friendly staff. I had slow cooked lamb and rice, then baclava and ice cream. My friend had minced lamb and salad. Red wine, coffee, Turkish tea. We have been before and we will be back again..

Great theatre and if you see a play this year, this little gem should be it. The Dollhouse was adapted brilliantly. Ends in October.. So get yourself a ticket. Just go and see anything as my first attendance will see me going back. The staff are lovely and drinks are reasonably priced.

Ok at best. I used to go a lot back in the day. An Islington institution. The more modern replacement is huge but lacks character. No idea how many covers this place has. Enough seating for a small army. Everyone loves Turkish food right? But what we don’t love is average food at high prices. A two course dinner comprised of two dips and bread for starters followed by two mains. One alcoholic beverage. Over £70 with service charge. I used to love the Iskender kebab. The lamb version is now £25. Sorry but no. I had a slightly cheaper mixed kebab which was ok. My daughter had a basic lamb kebab at £20. Ok also. Nothing to get excited about. The kind of experience that makes you consider alternatives. No complaints about the attentive staff. Left underwhelmed.

One of my most favourite restaurants in Islington and I have been coming for years. The food is always brilliant. The Raki is good too!

We were staying very locally, just around the corner, but as I know Islington restaurants get very busy, daughter booked this one for myself and a friend. I have a gastric band, so cannot eat a huge meal, so little dishes are perfect for me. Lovely warm atmosphere, loads going on, great decoration, staff very helpful, good choice of meze, and when we didn't like one deducted that from the bill, which was nice. Couple of birthday parties going on etc. We both enjoyed the food and the bill was very resonable.

What a gorgeous gorgeous place! The decor is incredible, very beautiful and upbeat vibes. The place is very big and spacious with 4 different seating sections, each with a slightly different decor but all lovely. Great for large groups and small both. The menu is huge with a ton of options all across. Food was delish!! So yummy, it’s the best Turkish food I have eaten. I got a chicken dish - very juicy, well marinated and fresh. The hosts & staff are very nice and welcoming as well. Highly recommend!!

Amazing food, wonderful staff. They don't have your typical platters and dishes here, so if you know what you like, check the menu before going. I recommend the lamb shish, the meat was so delicious. Mocktails aren't great, stick to soft drink or water.

Gallipoli is just brisk walk away from the angel station. Place has good vibe and an amazing decor. Servers were helpful and friendly, everyone was smiling. It feels good when you get friendly atmosphere. Food was fresh and good quality. We ordered two full mezze platters one veg and one non veg one. They got our dips pretty quickly but it really long time to get our non veg items from the platter. By the time they came I was almost full from bread and dips. Hence you dont see any non veg items in our photo Also, I did not felt veg full platter was fair deal. As they charged same but instead of three non veg items they just gave two small pieces of halloumi. That was not right. Hence 3 stars.

Food incredibly authentic and very good quality. Portion sizes are huge so come hungry, you certainly won't want to leave anything behind. Service warms up once they get to know you.

A perfect pre theatre meal, delightful staff, particularly our waiter. Lovely food, wine, raki and ambience. We will return!
