Izgara Restaurant in Barnet

Had a fantastic experience at Izgara Restaurant in Edgware! I ordered the lamb ribs and they were absolutely perfect tender, juicy, and full of flavour. You could really taste the quality and care in the preparation. My friend had the salmon and was just as impressed cooked beautifully with a lovely balance of seasoning. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d return to and highly recommend if you’re looking for well-cooked, delicious grilled dishes.

Great food in good prices. We often organise birthdays or family events there. Staff is always friendly. Place is clean . Highly recommend

Came here for a family bday celebration. Cocktail happy hour was a treat, could’ve added a little more alcohol but the options were good. Food was lovely. I ordered the calamari for starter, hot out of the kitchen, burnt my mouth but no complaints, tasty. Chicken wings with chips and salad for main, should’ve gone for the bigger grill but next time…..again, no complaints. Service could’ve been a tasty, fresh, cooked well. Service could’ve been a bit quicker but still friendly. Restaurant was comfortable and clean. Atmosphere was chilled for a BH Monday. I believe Parking on the road is free after 6:30. Will come again.

Good choice for vegetarians. Many sharing dishes available. Beautifully soft bread. Great decor & atmosphere with plenty of space between tables so you can sit comfortably. Wonderful service.👌

We were staying in Edgware for a couple of nights and wanted somewhere local to eat on our first night. We opted for Izgara after reading the positive reviews. We’d chosen the full platter and split this between 4 adults - it stated between 3-4 on the menu but there is more than enough food for 4. The food is really delicious. Fresh, tasty and well presented and we loved all the dishes we had. The grilled meats on the platter succulent and full of flavour. Service is excellent, on hand and attentive with nothing too much trouble. Really good value given the quality and amount of food. A great restaurant, highly recommended.

I ordered food from Uber eats, the kebab was good , but I ordered also baklava, instead of baklava they send something else which is bad taste. This is kind of cheating!!!! If you don’t have baklava why they put in menu??? I’ll shares pic below, this is not baklava it’s some rubbish I don’t know exactly the name but I know 10000000% it’s not baklava 🥵

Ordered a takeaway and the packaging was so beautiful that we couldn’t wait to tuck in. Unfortunately it was such a disappointment, tasteless food that was very poorly executed. Can’t understand if they serve rubbish for takeaway or it’s just very variable as the reviews do not reflect our experience.

I can't recommend this place enough! The staff is so attentive and friendly even on the busy days the run the extra mile to please us! The food so well cooked and amazingly delicious with a very lovely atmosphere.

The restaurant is modern decoration looked good from the last time I visited a few years ago. The vibe was nice. There were a lot of guests, but one table we're very loud we couldn't hear our own conversations. Certain guests complained, but the stuff said nothing they could do, which wasn't nice to hear. Apart from that the food was good and I'd recommend

Will not be returning here. Poor value for money, £21 for main courses that consisted of salad and 8 small cubes of meat dumped on a huge plates. One meal from our group clearly didn’t get put through the kitchen and arrived 15 mins late because ‘the grill was full’.. come on you’re an established busy restaurant that should be able to organise putting one whole table’s worth of food through the kitchen at the same time. Barely any kind of apology. Restaurant also forgot to warn all customers that they were filming for their social media account the whole evening. Guys with cameras walking amongst the tables and holding cameras etc up high as diners were trying to enjoy an evening out. Totally unacceptable to film without people’s consent and then post on social media. Whole experience was poor. We will not be going back.

We would recommend Izgara for business occasions. Excellent food, outstanding service, warm atmosphere and attractive decors. And reasonably priced, don’t even think about it!

We enjoyed Izgara it is in Edgware and the food is freshly made. Been here quite a few times. Plenty of parking around and if you enjoy Turkish food it's worth going to. Most of the dishes come with a salad and they serve you bread to have with dips

I attended a birthday dinner here, the service was good. Food was tasty and the cocktails are currently on an offer of around £7 so drinks were not too pricey!

Our family of eight dined at Izgara recently. Charcoal grilled meat dishes were delicious and tasty. Staff were excellent throughout and went out of their way to help my mother who was in a wheelchair. Will definitely be returning.

Good looking interiors but sells alcohol. Grills are average blant, forgot to salt it takeaway menu says rice or chips, i had to buy rice separately rice is cheapest basmati rice. For the price not worth food is lower than average. Not authentic just has name and faff.

Loved the food. One attendant (the male one) was nice, and the other one (female) was basically abrupt, dismissive, had no customer service skills, and rude (needs retraining) and kept us waiting. We were inconveniencing her, spoke brusque to us, and it wasn't even full or busy. Hence, I removed one star.

Ordered a deliveroo, food was ice cold, also portions were tiny in comparison to what you get when in the restaurant. When we called to ask why it is such little food, they said we are busy please come in tomorrow and the food was hot when it left. We live 3 minutes away, so it definitely wasnt hot when left and was ice cold by the time it got here. (We have a young child hence ordering rather than sitting in) What cost us £56 was not edible, and really underwhelming in terms of portion size. Wont be coming back here and if you want a very expensive small meal then this is the place for you.

Food was delicious, fast and courteous, professional service. The atmosphere was great (for adults), though it was a bit too noisy/loud as compared to other comparable restaurants (e.g. Likya in Golders Green). Parking is an issue, especially on the weekend. Will visit again. Highly recommend. 🙏♥️

We normally visit the finchley branch but were persuaded by friends to join them as they do a special 2 course inexpensive set menu. My wife and I opinion is that this is a false economy the range of starters is not so extensive and possibly not what you would choose a la carte furthermore the main course meat portions are smaller and limited but just as tasty You get what you pay for Service very good our companions ordered small beers were served large so only charged for the small nice touch

Wow! Everything was absolutely perfect!! The Adana kebab was grilled to perfection, the beyti kebab was delicious! Service with a great big smile. Logan was so attentive. LLuis very friendly, and Iona was really lovely Beautiful ambience. ! Thank you Izgara

Honestly wanted to love this place, and the food was amazing. However, my husband and I were sat for an hour waiting for our food and when we followed up with the waiters we were later told our order hadn’t been put through. Within that hour no one had come up to us wondering why we only had tap water and complimentary starters (both free), which disappointed us a lot. We were offered one drink each as apologies for waiting over an hour which did not feel sincere and honestly we felt as though we were an inconvenience. Such a shame because again the food was really good I just wished the service was sharper

Wonderful experience. I went with my friend. The waiters were attentive and friendly. I am gluten-free, so there is also a lot of choice for me. I would recommend Izgara to others.

I have been to this restaurant before they have a good selection of food and drinks. We ordered a mixed grill platter which was really big for the three of us .

I cannot thank enough the Izgara restaurant chef/chefs and staff! I’d booked all my food over the phone (spoke with Mahomed-I’m not sure if he was the chef )for 6 people,starters and main plus extra’s! Everything was above expectations.The food was great,the staff were very friendly,polite and very attentive. Check if your garlic bread comes with green mould, as mine did. I have to check if food is fresh as salad had not been washed either. Plus too, too many flies around . Kept getting messages to edit review by google so took off star.

Celebrated my graduation with a large group and everything was 10/10. Eray looked after us and we all left very happy. Looking forward to returning soon

The decor inside this restaurant is beautiful and the toilets are very clean. The waiter that welcomed us was polite, helpful and accommodated changes well whereas the waitress didn't even crack a smile and had poor customer service skills. Asking a customer "are you done?" before taking their plate is so unprofessional, try "would you like me to take your plate?". Her energy was unsettling after we flagged some issues with our food/bill. We were charged for a side of rice that hadn't actually arrived with the meal but this was easily amended when settling the bill. 2 cocktails were made without alcohol as a mistake and they were courteous and let us have those drinks free of charge. This was appreciated. The atmosphere was calm but would have been better if there was some Turkish music playing in the background while dining to make it a more authentic dining experience. My lamb saute meal arrived warm and disappointingly didn't taste of much despite having a 'special sauce'. My partners lamb shish was quite chewy. The rice was lovely and fluffy, nice chips and the Tabouleh was refreshing. The passionfruit mojito was sweet and delicious but tasted like a mocktail so we had to ask for more alcohol to be added. Thankyou for the experience but unfortunately I wouldn't be rushing back here.

Went there for their £13.90 2-course lunch deal. Food was good, starters came with lots of bread and the chicken shish was tasty. Staff were very nice too. Decor was cool too, with comfortable booths.

Took the family here for my birthday lunch. Bit of a risk as I don't like chewy meat and heavy food but I ordered the hot mese and it was tasty and excellent. Big portions and first class attentive service. If I have any negative comment it is a lot of it was deep fried. Will be back and will try the kleftico.

Visited for the first time with some friends who have used this restaurant for over 30 years and were not disappointed. We had travelled 1.5 hours on public transport. We can see why they use the place so often. The decoration was nice the whole experience was great. Staff were very good and helpful. The food was very tasty, hot and plentiful. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Me and my Wife visited IZGARA in Edgware, Top Notch, We really enjoyed it, Food was Superb, Great Service, Food was Served Fast and Fresh and not to mention the Decor and Ambience was Spot on. Nothing Bad to say. You have to give it a try.

Food arrived quickly but overcooked. Had hot meze starter platter. Falafels and fritters were hard and soaked in oil, sausage pieces chewy, whole thing completely unsatisfactory. Took plates and declined anything else so waiter proceeded to clean table. Felt uncomfortable like we should leave and were given bill. If the starter was anything to go on, would not order an overpriced main.

I order from here regularly but today the Bulgar Rice was very dry and bland! If I wanted plain rice I would have ordered it! For the price you charge Igzara, your food should at the very least have flavour!
