Durum Restaurant Golders Green in Barnet

According to Google Maps, this Golders Green branch has now permanently closed. However, there does seem to be another Turkish restaurant of the same name on Ballards Lane, North Finchley.

We was rushing to the airport and we choose to take away some turkish style food from Golders Green Durum restaurant! I go in and ask what I need, the waiter, a short guy very big smile and he ask for help and in 10 minutes was ready. Very tasty food and hot enough. Very good customer service! Love it ! Visited this place few times and have seen massive improvements since new management. The food and service are worth coming back!

Normalmente me pop en este restaurante si estoy muy hambriento en mi camino a casa. El personal es muy amable y el servicio es rápido. Te trae unos mezes y turco tradicional pan pitta tan pronto como estás sentado. Los precios son más baratos que cualquier otro restaurante cerca de Golders Green.

Fuimos a duro con amigos para una comida informal. Comenzó con Humus, OK, y Tarama de espinacas con crema de queso, bueno. Hígado ordenados pero tenían no ninguno. Para seguir teníamos dos chuletas de cordero, muy sabrosa, Kofte, muy buena y que estaba delicioso Donna Kebab, pero una gran porción. El servicio era amable, pero un poco inconsistente y no había mucho ambiente. Por otra parte usted podría tener una conversación sin tener que gritar y todo esto por £37.50 incluye una cerveza y agua mineral. Sin duda, volveremos.

Abbiamo cenato in 3 provando un misto di antipasti e di carni alla griglia e kebab. Tutto molto buono e digeribile, con porzioni decisamente abbondanti ad un prezzo non eccessivo.

Have been visiting regularly for a number of years, up until last year. The food used to be very good and there was an excellent maitre d who welcomed us very warmly. However, recently the standards have dropped. The staff are average, and sometimes confused. The doner can be tasteless. The environment is very noisy. Also, the lunchtime discount on weekdays does NOT EXIST, and we have been at the times stated and not been given a discount.

Went for a girls lunch. This restaurant has two sites - one in Finchley Central and one in Golders Green right opposite the tube station which is the one we went to. We all only had a main course because we knew from experience the portions served are really huge - and this time was no exception.We ordered chicken doner, lamb doner, a vegetarian dish and several others. We did not leave hungry and will be back. The service is quick and friendly.

Had a great meal here, chicken shish was really good! Tender and flavoursome. Would definitely recommend this!!Will definitely be going back here with all my friends

Today was my first time at durum. I was coming back from work at 18,30 and I was starving! From outside you can see that for sure they cook meat.. I had no expectations. My boyfriend and I went in and it was busy!But the 2 waitress where very kind and helped us with choosing our meal, explaining us everything.Obviously the meat was fantastic, nice and juicy.I was in doubt about the desserts, so the waitress let me taste the baklava... Delicious!Great job guys!We will come more often!

Ristorante che aveva il grande pregio di essere uno dei più vicini alla nostra sistemazione alberghiera, di fronte alla fermata della metro nera Golders Green e al relativo antistante piazzale dell'autobus, perfettamente riconoscibile e con una capienza posti adeguata all'affollamento serale.Per il resto, è il classico etnico mediorientale che consente di mangiare carne non male ad un costo relativamente basso (20 sterline per due portate principali); peccato solo che il personale abbia fatto qualche confusione nel servirci, ignorando gli antipasti e portandoci direttamente il piatto principale, peraltro con un pò di ritardo, altrimenti il voto sarebbe stato più alto.Sicuramente possono migliorare nella gestione.

I was visiting this place with my boyfriend, his mum and her very good friend, who was in London just for a short trip. As she was catching a bus from Golders Green back to the airport, we decided to have a coffee and some snacks in Durum restaurant. What a mistake! We parked our car right in front of the restaurant and got a little surprised, because it was completely empty. Not even one table occupied! it should have been the sign!Upon arrival, I said to the waiter we would like to have table for 4 and told him we have some time, so some snacks, desserts and coffee should be enough. He start nervously smiling and after a few awkward seconds, he is told me that it wont be possible. We started to look at each other with confusion, and I asked him if he is being serious. He said yes. Then I started laughing, as I didn't understand the whole situation. Then he went to ask his colleague, or boss or manager, or whatever , he came back and said that his boss doesn't agree with us ordering only coffee and desserts. Obviously it was not enough to make big money. Not to mention, that the restaurant was totally empty! So rather than make some money from 4 people, they decided to dismiss us and then he asked us to leave!I have never experienced more hostile environment in my life!! This is one poor store with no manners and wont be going back, that's for sure. And due to previous reviews, the food is also rubbish, so at the end of the day, I'm happy I didn't spend my money in such a s...hole.

The food was delicious, but the delivery took more then 1 hour and I live 10 min walking. When I called to check the status of my order everyone was very kind. The food arrived for 5 min after my call (the food was still very warm). Will order again from the restaurant and hope the food to be delivered on time

A big open plan restaurant, so clearly not an atmospheric venue, but the welcome was pretty friendly.We had a good meal with attentive waiter guidance on which kebab combination best suited us. Portions were generous and we enjoyed our mains. He took it upon himself to organise our deserts, which turned out to be more fruit than baclava oriented, but we ere well able to steer slightly away from this healthier option towards more baclava !

So yummy! Good quality meat... Would definitely order from here again.

This restaurant is new since I was last in Golders Green. It is a great location opposite the Tube station. I did only take away, however the sit down restaurant is open and inviting, not the least bit stuffy. Prices are reasonable, staff friendly

Durum were superb. Have eaten in, collected and now received a delivery from the Golders Green branch. Great food, we had the mixed grill and a couple of other dishes. All really well cooked. Loved the fact that they added a few turkish delight to the order for free. Thankyou!

Siamo stati qui per cena. il cibo è ottimo (a base di carne principalmente, ma ci sono anche piatti vegetariani), non a caso ha vinto l premio come miglior cibo turco, abbondante e ben presentato. antipasto con pane e salse e baklava dolce offerti da loro. prezzo nella media.

- chicken wings were really tasty. - bread was cold and not fresh. - king prawns tasted like rubber. - squid was very oily and to much flour. Delivery was very quick. One dish was very delicious, the rest I will not order again. Thank you.

Excellent food and service. Could not fault the place. Best Turkish/Lebanese food I have ever had. Highly recommended and I will definitely eat there again if I am in the area.

I love this restaurant, great food, kind staff and nice atmosphere! We are habitual customers and when i feel to ill to go there (i'm disable) my brothers collect take away, it is lovely prepared! Can recommend enough tgis restaurant! Don't miss it xx
