The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

My husband and I had a meal in The Vault earlier this year and it was a lovely meal. There was a lot of food on the plate and it was cooked very well. The staff are very friendly and you can have a good conversation with them. I would recommend having a meal in there at any time. The only thing now is I would have a breakfast but the doors are closed in the morning so I don't know if it is still open in the daytime.

Hatters is a hidden gem, found on the front of Oswestry market. Amazing coffee and yummy tosties, the best in Oswestry by far! I can’t wait to go back and try out a waffle bowl or pancakes!

Nos encontramos con este pequeño restaurante dirigido por marido y mujer por casualidad. Su comida es fabulosa. Tenía su mezcla de marisco, su sopa Cullen Skink y su filete Aberdeen Angus Sirloin en diferentes ocasiones. Los tres platos fueron las comidas con mejor sabor de la historia. Vale la pena cada centavo. Muy recomendable.

Today my mum and I booked onto the 'Find Your Chocolate Love Match Workshop' at Hotel Chocolat. I highly recommend this chocolate tasting experience. We had a fabulous afternoon. A huge thank you to Mark at the Bracknell store for making the experience so enjoyable, his knowledge of Hotel Chocolat as a company and the processes behind the chocolate making was superb. We learnt so much about the various chocolates and what would best suit our taste palettes.

Just enjoyed a lovely Saturday night meal at the Golf Club. It's a 10 min walk from the pier but worth it. Such a beautiful site. Tables are set up outside for when the weather's nice. New chef who's running it is fab. Great menu with a nice variety and changes according to whats fresh. I had the cod with mussels well presented and delicious. Definitely will return next time I want to try the scallops and the deep fried fish. Both look amazing.

This place has everything! Wonderful fresh high quality products that never disappoint. The staff are excellent and Brindon is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. If you are in the area it’s well worth a visit.

The food was delicious and healthy. I had the salad option and it was packed with variety, colour and great taste. My son had soup and fresh bread and a sausage roll. We plan to return because the food was great at a really affordable price.

Stopped here for Sunday lunch there was 3 of us the owner and helper were extremely welcoming and the roast was fantastic with all locally sourced ingredients and rhubarb crumble was the best ive had for a long time

Chef Steve likes to discuss the menu with guests in advance, which increases the expectation of imaginative and beautifully presented meals. Even he admits that his portions are on the generous size – as will their guests be after a few of his meals. And then there's the banter with partner and sommelier Maurice ... great fun!

Wonderful quality coffee and breakfast. Can’t recommend highly enough or to wait to bring friends, family and business acquaintances here. Will be back ASAP to try the rest of the menu. Dariela Cakes is a traditional Romanian style cake and coffee shop, and it reminds me of the Czech and East European style, which I liked from my travels and living abroad.   Dariela's is more like an old traditional cake shop.  On our visit, we had a Cappuccino and chocolate cake for Mumsy, (pictured) and a black Americano and caramel cake for me. The size of the cake portions really are that big! I also liked how strong tasting the coffee was. It's not bland and watery, as I've tasted in other cafes. With 5 cafes in the Quadrant, and despite Dariela being the cheapest, with cake portions twice the size for less than you pay or see in other nationally branded and established coffee shops, it may struggle to survive. However, this cake and coffee shop offers something different to the rest; a taste of real East European tradition. It may not be to everyone's taste but and I recommend you give it a try. I wish Dariela's every success.

Friendly happy TM’s making breakfast rolls. Just don’t disturb them for a shunt. Good quality food, but no cheese rolls available due to some low life stealing all the cheese!!

Ordered from the heritage cafe today Couldn’t decide what to have as there’s loads of delicious choices to be made Decided to order the chicken parmo with chips And two lots of quiche and chips And of course the sprinkle cake and custard Everything arrived piping hot and delicious Can’t wait to order again soon

Had our I 40th wedding anniversary at this venue it was excellent the staff were very friendly and the buffet was very good and the price we paid for the hall was excellent with highly recommend. Also it's great for Sunday lunch.
