Absolutely gorgeous food. The homemade leek and cheddar quiche was the best I have ever tasted. Also served an vegetarian omelette which was cooked to our exact requirements Friendly service, spotlessly clean. Highly reccommend a meal here.

Went to Driftwood Cafe with my wife for Afternoon Tea as a Mother's Day present from our sons. We had a wonderful experience with lovely freshly made sandwiches of our choice, followed by delicious home-made scones and cakes. As veterans of afternoon teas, we rank this as one of the best!! Pleasant ambience and attentive owner and staff. We will definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend this cafe.

Came with my family for mother's day. It was lovely. Really good fresh food and plenty of it.My granddaughters enjoyed their food.Will be calling again soon with my husband.Well worth a visit.

Really enjoyed our lunch today at Driftwood. Rarebit and sandwiches and chips were all excellent for the food and the staff were all very nice. We were quite late to arrive a close to their closing but everything was still relaxed and very helpful. Enjoyed our lunch there

This is honestly the best cafe I’ve ever been to. The food is excellent, everything is made fresh. The people who work at Driftwood are all absolutely lovely and they take extra care to make sure every dish is delicious. The decor and general vibe in the cafe is perfect too. If you fancy anything, from a cup of tea to a full on feast, then I definitely recommend Driftwood. I will be coming here over and over again!

I can’t rate this lovely cafe highly enough, food was amazing, 5 Adults and 1 teenager We all had afternoon tea, I have never been to a cafe where the staff have been so nice they couldn’t do enough for us, It’s was my sister’s 60th birthday the staff brought out a cake and everyone in the cafe sang Happy Birthday (how lovely was that) Thank you so much you really did make our day of celebrations extra special

We regularly have lunch here. Food always freshly cooked to order. They do the best chips that we've ever had. Always very busy I suggest you book a table or you will be disappointed.

First time at this fabulous cafe and it didn’t disappoint. The food is amazing and the staff were very helpful as we were going through theatre, and didn’t have much time, and the lady made the kitchen know of our situation. Disappointed we didn’t have time for a cake… we will be back.

This cafe is an absolute gem and definitely worth a visit. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I am gluten free and they have extensive gluten free options. I chose Welsh rarebit which was fantastic and followed this with a gluten free scone. Definitely the best gluten free scone I've ever had.

Called in for the first time today lovely cafe with friendly staff and atmosphere. Had a fantastic meal of ham, egg's and chips and a cappuccino very nice and my dad had the posh fish finger sandwich.

First time at this fabulous cafe but it certainly won’t be the last. Food was incredible and so were the kind and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming- this is now our go to place. I certainly recommend this Cafe

My friend Rose and I went for scones and coffee at the driftwood cafe on Wednesday 24th January. The scones were delicious and Amanda the owner/cook was very helpful and friendly. We both bought scones to take home as well.

My friends and I had chosen The Driftwood cafe as a place to meet up for a belated birthday celebration after reading some brilliant reviews online about it. As soon as we stepped into cafe we were greeted by the friendly staff and were shown to our table and you felt the warm, cosy atmosphere We’d chosen the Afternoon Tea. We loved the idea that we could choose our own sandwich filling, fruit or non fruit scone and particular cake. The vintage style crockery added to the charm of the setting. When our tiered cake stand was served, we weren’t disappointed at the wonderful sight of all our choices. All food is prepared freshly made which was instantly noted. when you began to eat. There was no lacking on the filling in all our sandwiches and my tuna and red onion choice was delicious. The highlight of Afternoon Tea though were the scones! They were the best I’d ever tasted with a moist texture but then with a crunch to the outer surface. As well there was as a piece of tiffin cake, and so we all then had to ask for our chosen cakes to be bagged up to take home as we were so full after devouring our savoury and sweet treats and hot drinks. A first for me to visit New Brighton and as well as experiencing the bracing sea air, great to see the recognisable Liverpool skyline in the distance. I would definitely recommend The Driftwood cafe and wouldn’t hesitate to return back even just to sample those scones again!

We love this spot and always take family there when they come to visit. They are always lovely and accommodating - making sure our little ones are happy. They also have a fab gluten free menu. Their gluten free scones are so lovely I take some home aswell

This is where the fish tastes like the sea, the lemon drizzle cake is to die for. The mushy peas were a miniature jungle of delight! Perfect for a calming afternoon tea or a lazy fish and chips. I wish I could rate this 💯. By Ben age 12

A lovely teacake and huge well made hot chocolate made a welcome respite from a chilly day. The icing on the cake was the friendly staff, Recommended 😎😎

Enjoyed a lovely vegan scone and hot chocolate here just before closing, was welcomed and invited to sit in which was lovely, staff were friendly and helpful and welcomed my little dog too.

Lovely food, all fresh and hot. We also ordered afternoon teas to take away. All good quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Just note that they don't read emails (even though listed on their website) so you need to ring to reserve a table.

We got very lucky with a table just as the breakfast rush was ending. Fantastic breakfasts and great value.

We visited New Brighton and strolled along the seafront. We found this gem of a cafe up a side street. Lovely friendly staff and a variety of meals and specials on the menu. Unfortunately, we had had a late large hotel breakfast, so only wanted a drink and a snack. The meals coming out of the kitchen looked plentiful and delicious and clearly this cafe is well known to local clientele. Enjoyed flicking through some of the books on the Wirral and how New Brighton was in the past! Will certainly, remember this cafe again when visiting New Brighton.

Good tea good coffee and very yummy sandwiches served with salad etc. I can honestly say it was all very good. I wasnt keen on the table cloths / oil cloths tho. Felt incomfortable but that maybe the trademark of the place? all really good

My daughter and I came across this gem of a place last Saturday, we had travelled from Wales to New Brighton to see a show in the theatre. The staff are so so friendly and the food just amazing. I’ve promised that I will return again very soon.

First time going here and what a hidden little gem it was, would recommend you book a table before hand like we did, because it's only a small place, really clean and tidy,very polite staff,we both had the full English and it was beautiful,all really good ingredients,we polished them both off, would happily recommend a visit if your in the area,they do a lunch time menu as well and all home made cakes,also dog friendly

Definitely the No. 1 Café in New Brighton, so glad we found it. Can't recommend Driftwood Café highly enough !

We stopped in for breakfast and had a great experience. We’re from the US and the staff was so friendly and gracious, telling us stories and recommending places to see while we were in the area. Oh yeah, the Eggy Bread was tasty, too. Highly recommended!

Fantastic gluten free quiche so delicious! All good homemade , staff lovely and a great location for a bike ride or walk. On previous visits I had a fabulous gf afternoon tea.

Love it! Great gluten free food. Best gluten free quiche I've ever had. The pastry was great! Excellent gluten free scones too. The staff were friendly and helpful. And it's dog friendly. They even do sausage for your pooch. You can book a table which is handy as it's only a small cafe.

Nice little cafe, wide range of food, a bit on the expensive side, but very popular. After you have eaten I suggest you walk up Victoria road, towards the station and see the murals. A great one of a known London address, near the top of the road.

This is truly a little gem in New Brighton. It was really busy when we arrived and we managed to get the last table outside. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and friendly and I cannot fault a single thing. The lovely waitress even offered to find us a table inside once it had quietened down but it was nice outside. I would 100% recommend this cafe and we will definitely be back. Fabulous

We had 2 full English a coffee and a tea with 3 extra toast, the food and service was very nice, but when it came to the cost, I think £35 is outrageous, so the next day we went in the model shop cafe which was just as nice but half the price.

Lovely food pleasant staff looked sfter us throughout. Arrived early but no problems for the staff they moved tables around. Will return.

Me and my wife visited New Brighton last weekend. I had seen the cafe on Tripadvisor and can highly recommend a visit. They have a Full gluten free menu and we’re happy to have our idiot dog with us. The staff were brilliant and friendly. We were lucky to get a table as it was busy and some tables were reserved so if you planing on going down I would ring ahead.

This was our first time here. Why haven't we been before - it's fabulous. We often walk the dog along the front at New Brighton at the weekend and we decided to stay out early today with breakfast at Driftwood. Full English (poached eggs - you can choose), bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes etc plus the staff are so accommodating, you could really mix and match with things you fancy from the extras list like potato cakes etc and it would be no trouble. The breakfast is as good as any I have had - made fresh to order - they even warm the plates. Coffee was as good as any I have had - you can keep your brands, this place makes gorgeous coffee. The service is really lovely too - you feel like you are visiting a friend. The surroundings are also perfect for this type of place - no airs and graces, just cosy and clean and comfy and welcoming. Lots of nice wall hangings, blankets for cold knees, a few local books and a"help yourself" jar of dog biscuits (although our cockapoo preferred the sausages and the attention from the owner!). Very dog friendly. Just a proper little gem. We'll be back, and back, and back....

This is my favourite breakfast cafe. I went to wales a couple of weeks ago and went to cafe a cafe there for breakfast. It didn’t come close to the breakfast at the driftwood. The driftwood is the gold standard for breakfasts

We visited the Driftwood Cafe for Sunday morning breakfast. The avocado on toast with poached eggs were fabulous as was the full English breakfast with perfectly cooked black pudding.

I've been to this cafe a couple of times but today just seemed that extra bit of a gousto experience... I didn't know what I wanted in particular but was steered toward the 'small plate' menu by the lovely waitress... I plumbed for the fish...

My wife and myself visit this cafe on a regular basis .Amanda is always welcoming and the food is brilliant. The chips are fantastic. And the menu is varied. Also there is a small plate menu for people who can not manage larger meals. Highly recommend give this cafe a try you will not be disappointed

Popped in as we wanted to try here. Got a table right next to the counter which was really good. Plenty of room to move around even though it was full. Ordered the Driftwood Club Sandwich and a portion of homemade chips. Sandwich was delicious as where their chips. Had an iced latte then an ordinary coffee, and the wife had a milkshake then a tea as well. Service was spot on and very friendly, and always happy to help you. Must say didn't eat another thing that day as the club was more than sufficient. Go there if you want a great meal at a great price.
