Rising Sun in Teignbridge

I did a review nearly a year ago and don't know why we haven't been back sooner. We had a delicious Sunday roast today and shared a gorgeous Strawberry Cheese cake. Extremely good value meal and the Dartmoor Legend a good price too. The place is spotless the staff are attentive I would highly recommend the Rising Sun.

We had a meal here and the food was amazing 🤩 It was fresh and homemade,presented beautifully and tasted incredible. Probably the best meal we’ve eaten out ever ! The staff were friendly and the pub was clean.The prices were quite unbelievable considering the high standard of the cooking and ingredients. Will definitely recommend and will be going back-thank you

The food was good, as were the drinks, what more do you need, good service, yes you get that also. Well worth a visit if in the area, it important to support places like this, use it or we all loose it.

The perfect Sunday lunch! Really delicious, excellent quality, beautiful vegetables, lovely gravy and great idea to offer a beef and turkey combo option. Fantastic value for money and great service.

Went for Sunday lunch, it was really good, had Beef, loads of gravy, food was so lovelt, had Ratatouille, never had it before, but will definitely have this again, so we'll done ✔️ 😁

What a cracking place a warm welcome, spotlessly clean. Service is quick and attentive. The meals were faultless and so tasty. The real ale I had was the Dartmoor Legend which is kept perfectly. Good size meals at exceptional value. There is absolutely nothing I could fault

Despite having lived in the area for over twenty years, we had not discovered The Rising Sun. Huge mistake! We booked for Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious & a very good price. Choice of meats, lots of veg all freshly cooked & lovely deserts. The pub itself is very clean & bright with a large garden & car park. Great, friendly, helpful staff. Very dog friendly & they even have a little doggy shop with treats etc. We will be returning soon.

Staying at the local campsite and decided to walk here for Sunday lunch. Well worth the walk (approx a mile along the lanes with a few steep inclines!) The pub is immaculately clean and has instant curb appeal. Lovely beer garden, a little shop selling dog related stuff. Staff are really friendly and the pub has a lovely feel about modern meets traditional. Decent beers and great food. Sunday roast was excellent and good value £13-50 for quality food. Sweet was great too. So good we booked to go again.

Been here quite a few times now and always forgot to do a review 🤣 If you are looking for great value for money, great food and great atmosphere then look no further because The Rising Sun has it all. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed every time we've been, the food has been awesome every time (and we've had something different each time) and the staff are extremely pleasant and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Just a shame I can only give 5 stars because this place deserves a 10 all day long.

Honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had. I'm a manager of my own restaurant in Central London Soho and even I was blown away by the food and service. 2 members of my party had intolerance, and they remembered from the booking and made sure everything was safe for us. Everyone was so kind and attentive and we really couldn't have asked for a better night for my mother in laws birthday! Thank you so much!!

We visited the Rising Sun last night, 2 couples and 2 dogs. To say they are dog friendly is an understatement, they go above and beyond for the dogs. Even have an amazing dog shop ❤️ The menu is varied, hard to choose what to have! The atmosphere and food is amazing. Staff very friendly, in fact probably the friendliest pub we’ve visited in a very long time. Highly recommend. 5 stars isn’t enough!!

Another great meal at the Rising Sun! We sat in the beer garden tonight, lots of choice on the menu, my lentil burger was really good, Mr had Mediterranean chicken flatbread also excellent and large portion. Very dog friendly, a visit to the dog treat shop is essential for any 4 legged visitors. Ours was very happy with his choice of treat! Highly recommend

We organised a 30th birthday party here, wonderful evening. We requested Gluten Free and Dairy Free food too, fantastic food, so delicious and such generous portions. All the staff were so helpful. They certainly make you feel very welcome. Would highly recommend a visit .

Great atmosphere, warm fires, friendly and courteous staff, a lovely dinner and a wonderfully hot meal. Highly recommended!
