We are supporting this independent coffee shop by popping in for our weekly fix of superb coffee and in house bakes. Listen to albums from a huge selection as we relax in a friendly atmosphere.
Ordered afternoon tea to take away, to celebrate a special birthday. The ladies were so helpful and added an extra tea to the order when we needed to add an extra guest. All the food was made fresh on the day, and was absolutely delicious we had a fantastic afternoon.
Superb burgers... so glad I swung by and gave it a go. Had so many bad van burgers in the past that I usually give vans a miss. Not this one, I'll be back soon!
Lovely welcoming place . Lovely home cooked food cooked to your liking . Polite staff x no pressure to purchase . Great to meet friends in warm environment
Having walked up to Sumburgh Head lighthouse on a cold, rainy and windy January day, there was nothing more welcoming than the sight of Katja's coffee and cake bus. As it was just the two of us, we actually sat inside and spent a very pleasant half hour chatting to Katja and enjoying the good strong coffee and the very lovely cake as we sheltered from the weather. If you are visiting the lighthouse, definitely grab a coffee here, it's quirky, she's lovely and the coffee and cake are top notch.
We wanted a couple of take away roast dinners so tried Louis Bar. We were really impressed with them. We had the roast Turkey and roast lamb dinners and they were excellent. Came with all the expected trimmings and lots of gravy. We will definitely be using the bar again. 🤓
Great place to take the family, be with friends or go on a date! Lovely relaxed atmosphere, had a lovely friendly waitress. Food was all amazing and lots of it! Highly recommend.
First visit, will not be the last.Well tasty food indeed.
Som tam salad, Beef Pad kra pow,Tom yum soup and pad thai.
Full of flavour and reasonably priced.
Thankyou, Matt and Ann. see you soon.

Great little hidden Pizza place just behind the sea front at Seaton. Nice ambience and friendly and helpful staff. The Pizzas are not the usual run of the mill drowning in toppings and hope you don't notice they all taste the same .... rather they combine uncommon ingredients on a large edge thin based 12" - things like roasted artichoke, Mackerel, lemon zest, even honey. The results are simply mouth wateringly superb.
As I walked up to the front door to enter the restaurant, looking around outside made me think I hope inside is better than outside. The weeds, dead leaves, fag ends etc outside the front door was not the first impression you’d want. Gave me the impression of if this is what you can see what’s the rest of the place like u can’t see. Very shoddy first impression.
Interior is tired, carpets absolutely filthy going upstairs, the gents toilet at the top of the stairs was filthy, stank, and was only half lit as lights not working (probably for the best).
The staff all be it pleasant enough we’re so scruffy in appearance, jeans and an old tea shirt, they looked like they just got out of bed. There was a time when all the staff here were in full uniform, very smart authentic clothing, they looked like they wanted to be there instead of “this is a chore attitude’’.
Onto the meal, this was not too bad actually, the food was pretty good and plenty of it. Value for money excellent.
Wouldn’t take much to turn this place around to what it once was. . I’d say

I’m a cyclist and have come to wild carrot many times over the last few years. It’s steadily got more expensive whilst service has nose dived. It’s home to the most expensive coffee in the area (£3.70 for a flat white) and I had to wait for 19 mins after paying and not even a sorry. All food seems extortionately priced. Such a shame as it’s a lovely setting, but I won’t ever come again.
