The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving American food

I have to say this was probably the worst £35 I have ever spent I read the 4 reviews and thought give it ago but turned up and only person in the restaurant should have been a red flag warning but had a ribs starter God knows which part of the animal it came from and then ordered sirloin and it was frying steak no mustard available except wholegrain I cannot explain how disappointed I was with the food paid the bill but only because it is clearly going bust

This place is great! Every time I go here the service and coffee is fab! It is small, but that’s what I like, it’s a perfect place to have a chilled catch up with a mate or to work on an assignment

Came all the way down from Liverpool just to try this gaff and it didt disappoint Food is unbelievable Same with the place

On a Sunday night my friends and I were on our way back to our hotel, and looking for something to eat. Everywhere was closed, and the Burger Bro on Mortimer Street was just shutting down too. The friendly owner saw our need and turned the kitchen equipment back on for us. He then made us the best burgers and chips that I have had for quite a while. This seemed like it was a family run business and the staff were so very helpful and kind. I would highly recommend supporting this business and will definitely be eating here again, the next time I am in London.

If you like steak you have found the right place. We just had the signature dish of featherblade steak with two side dishes, all were cooked to perfection and delicious. We were looked after from booking the table to paying the bill by Joanne who is helpful, friendly and really attentive. We really loved the atmosphere and the music, if we lived in the area we would eat there every week ,great value for money, ten out of ten if you are visiting the Southend area do not miss this Gem.😄 Andrew and Bridget Norwich xx.

I went to Dizzy Izzy's with some friends on a night out, the venue's grunge/rock decor is really cool (they have a Harley Davidson on display!). The music matched the venue perfectly. I highly recommend the Rock Star burger and fries, they had a 2-4-1 burger deal on at the time, it was the best burger I've had in years!! I'll be spreading the word 🙌

I had a rather disappointing experience at this cafe. As a mother dealing with the challenges and expenses of school holidays, I hoped the animal sanctuary cafe would be a pleasant and reasonably priced option. However, I ended up regretting my decision to dine there as the food and drinks left much to be desired. The kids' beans on toast was decent in taste, but the portion size of just one piece of toast was quite underwhelming. The pizza slice looked appealing, but unfortunately, the toppings lacked flavor, and the dough didn't hold up well, disintegrating as I tried to enjoy it. The vanilla milkshake was disappointing as it tasted bland, lacking any real vanilla flavor. And as for the coffee, it was truly atrocious. Even adding sugar couldn't salvage the taste, and the takeaway cups had an odd smell that didn't help matters. All in all, I would advise against visiting this cafe during your trip to Hopefield. It's better to pack your own food and avoid the disappointment of a lackluster dining experience.

Just ordered a pizza not long ago ,as usual it was beautifull ,and they even gave some nice coleslaw complimentry. But most of all there service is spot on from the lady who spoke to me to change something on my order and the lovey guy who delivered my order very nice and polite . Thanks ivan ,gedling

It was our 32nd Wedding Anniversary on Thursday 08 May 2025. We were served by the lovely Laura and cooked for by Allen. The food was simply delicious and beautifully presented and well, what can I say about Laura…. She was an absolute delight and could not fault her service. She is a credit to you and an absolute diamond. Thank you so very much 😊❤️

Although really busy tonight we still got our food in a reasonable time, although a little late the food was great as always and the staff kept us updated and sent some treats to apologise. We’ve always loved it here so nothings changed 😂 thank you!

I visited Bristol for a weekend and visited many places but this one is very poorly managed (maybe consider change of whoever runs this). This 1 star goes to the management as there is a lot of things that needs to be improved in this place and has a knock off effect on everything else. Visited Sunday morning for breakfast, we made a booking for 10:30, the place was massively understaffed. Because of lack of staff, the waitresses and people making drinks were super busy and couldn’t keep up (definitely not their fault) but they couldn’t provide good customer service due to that. Our coffee drinks arrived about 20-25 mins after our food, and then I found out my coffee was not what I ordered. There was constant flow of people coming in. Bacon pancakes were good, service was slow. We finished food and then coffees arrived. My vegan waffles were pretty average but that wasn’t the issue. This place is very popular and it needs a lot more staff members - because of lack of staff, customers are not happy when mistakes happen and then obviously it affects waiters (I’m sure this place has high staff turnover, I wouldn’t want to work here). As seen on photo, my table and chair was an inch in front of the disabled toilet which I found very grim regardless if the toilet was in use or not. This table should be for one person only and not for two. None of the above is staff members fault, they are trying their best but this is the only food place in Bristol that needs heavy management changes as clearly it needs works. Sadly we will not be returning here. I highly recommend “be natural cafe” in the market hall, their breakfast was 1000% better.

Best fish and chips lovely service definitely recommend you'll be in for a treat

Came in with my mum last week and was very happy with the service. Servers do their job very well and the food was nice, the only let down's were the owner/manager and how he treats the staff infront of customers, was very rude and unsettling how he stares and makes comments at the staff. Probably won't return due to the poor atmosphere.
