We had a lovely meal at M & C today. Our host was a young lady named Summer who was very polite, chatty & helpful. The food was cooked to perfection, tasty & enjoyable... We will certainly revisit

Wonderful service from Summer, along with a really nice relaxing lunch. We would recommend the spinach and ricotta in pastry.

Visited tonight with my husband & daughter . Chose the valentines menu £39 for 3 courses was exceptional value! Looked after by wonderful friendly & efficient Nell . The food was absolutely fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were served by Mark. He offered great service and was very attentive. We ordered from the Rare Treats menu and had chorizo as an extra plus a couple of drink each. The food was cooked to our liking, especially the steak. We weren't rushed and empty glasses and plates were swiftly moved way. I was happy with everything until I was told I couldn't use my friends and family discount of 20% off the bill. It says I can in the t&c's and it was a Thursday. My friend has one and she used hers yesterday on the same menu. When I asked last Thursday I was told the code wouldn't work on the set menu without even an attempt to try. Very disappointing when it would gave worked, had it been tried.

Absolutely perfect meal, made even more special by the server Hollie. We really appreciated you going above and beyond, always checking on the table. it really made our sons 13th birthday special. All the food was excelent, cooked amazingly and well seasoned! Really good value for money too. Table of 6, we ate what we wanted, and bill was £235, £50 of that was drinks. We would definitely come back, as long as we are looked after by Hollie again, she should be the trainer for new starters!

The food and pudding was lovely, the only thing was the green bleended sauce was very salty, I don’t know why it was so salty but there wasn’t any need for it as the meal was delicious and lamb was cooked to perfection.

Food was absolutely amazing, steak cooked to perfection and puddings were unbelievable! Our server Callie is a credit to the business, very helpful, happy and overall made our experience there an incredible one!

Christmas Lunch There was nothing great about our Christmas Lunch. Wrong wine brought to table (ordered white, brought rose'). Food very poor and billed for the rose' wine. 'Stick to the steak' would be my comment.

Came here with my beautiful girlfriend and we really enjoyed it. The food was 10/10. Sat on a cosy little table in the corner. Our server Mark was brilliant!! very helpful, polite and attentive.

Had the butcher's block sharing plate with ribeye, rump and fillet steaks that came with a side order of ribs Other than one piece of the fillet not up to scratch, basically a brilliant meal

A poor experience. The service was poor taking a long time to place our order. Two bowl fulls of lettuce were delivered followed 5 minutes later by the rest of the main course. Not at any point during the meal did anyone ask how the meal was or if we wanted anymore drinks. The food was “ok” but certainly not worth the £40 price tag each. The upgraded “triple cooked chips” were supermarket frozen chips which was disappointing. We asked for the bill then had to go up the till to get someone to actually take our money. Upon leaving we had to walk through a plummet of smoke as people puffed away right outside the doorway. A shame really as we have been here before but am afraid won’t be back.

I cannot complain about the food as that would be unfair to Miller & Carter as the problem with the food was it was extremely cold due to it taking almost 40 minutes to deliver the food. Whilst tracking the driver I noted that they stopped FOUR times on route!! as you can imagine a steak isn't warm after being sat in a car for 40 minutes!!

My husband brought me here for a birthday treat and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was very good - we were served by Mark. Overall a great experience, again! We will definitely be back.

Went for my 30th birthday and got the butchers block, I think it's called. All the steaks were overdone and chewy. The table next to us was also having difficulty with the quality of the steaks. Wouldnt return.

2 burannta out of three ordered frozen with ice inside, light bulb blew over table so in dark staff kept saying they had to dim lights it blew up and flashed and was out couldn't read menu before it went out couldn't see food after it blew. Butchers block marrow bone arrived stone cold sent back and reheated then found loads of grissal several large pieces, peppercor. Sauce cold onion loaf cold. The other two guests mains where ok, really disappointing and not your usual standard spoiled a special birthday treat...disappointing costly experience even with adjustment made to bill

The food was incredible and service was too. My grandma can’t eat very much and was hoping to have fish and chips that she used to have on the lunch menu- Lucy suggested to her that she could get some fish fingers from the younger guests menu and my grandma was over the moon and really enjoyed it

Had the 3 course special offer food at 28.50 was nice apart from I ordered chunky homemade chips with a premium of an extra £1 only to be served frozen chips (steak nice) Desert I got creme brule which was appalling it only just covered the bottom and was not crispy on top and it had lumps in it so I sent it back..The server Rory was nice and professional but the chef when told didn't seem to care at all! For a trained chef surely he should be able to make homemade chunky chips fresh and a creme brule dessert.

Food was delicious! But, you can't beat the service! 5 star!!!! Next time look for Mark! Knows his product and good customer service! Can't fault him!

Not sure if they’ve changed chefs or I’ve just been unlucky, a regular visitor but last 2 times steaks have been very poor. One really under cooked pretty much raw not even blue the other Weldone. I always ask medium rare so both was bad cock ups

Went here with my partner for dinner, and we had a really nice meal. I had the cauliflower wings. These are heavenly. Then I had the sea bass was over salted, for my taste.

The food was really good, it was expensive for what you actually got. However, it is pretty much a guaranteed standard . The atmosphere was good , staff are very friendly and very helpful . I would eat here again anytime I have too much cash 😄. No real complaints, It is clearly a chain, though .

Finally got to eat here, and to be honest very difficult to fault anything about the place. Superb service at the bar by Dillon, excellent food courtesy of chef David, fantastic company provided by the missus and son. A great all round experience.

We have been here numerous times before and we are use to the amazing customer care and excellent food, but tonight we have been even more impressed by the staff care and engagement. Our food was fantastic apart from a few minor issues but as soon as we pointed this out to Callie she was super considerate and appreciated the special New Year’s Eve family meal we were having needed to be perfect. Callie was a complete ambassador for Miller & Carter and probably the reason why this restaurant remains as one of the top eateries in Yorkshire and the reason why we will continue to come here.

Beautiful meal served and looked after by Summer! Faultless, we will be back.

Excellent food. One of the best steaks I've had. Lovely interior decor for christmas. Service was good, but could have been a little better.

We visited Miller & Carter Mirfield for my spouse's birthday in 2022 and had an amazing experience, so we decided to return for his birthday in 2024. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of our expectations. Service was notably slow - we had to actively get the staff's attention for drinks and missing utensils. Additionally, the bar area where we waited for our table was unclean, with used tissues left on tables. Given the disappointing experience this time and the premium price point, I’m unsure if we’ll return or recommend Miller & Carter Mirfield to others.

Service great, very friendly and reactive, but all steaks, apart from the well done we're over cooked. Fish was cremated and was sent back. It was dealt with and we didnt pay for the fish, but it is the first time I have been dissapionted with Miller and Carter

Miller & Carter never disappoints! The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor. The Signature Onion Loaf and creamy mash were the perfect sides. Our server, Hollie, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Excellent service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend for any steak lover!

The lamb was excellent as was the steak & accompaniments but the extra side (veg) was a let-down. Dessert (brownie) was not as described so sent back. However, these things hardly distracted from the enjoyment of the meal.

Mark was very hospitable/ he was very attentive and welcoming. Good sense of humour. Food takes a while to come but it’s like a night out and we weren’t in a rush, nice evening.

Everything was lovely. Great welcome at the door, friendly efficient waiting staff and just the right amount of time between courses. The restaurant still looks clean and fresh even though it's been open a few years. The food was hot and delicious. Nothing to complain about at all. Thank you.

My partner wanted to visit for his Birthday as he has been given some vouchers. So we decided to try the Sunday lunch platter. It was delicious! It did not disappoint! Our little boy loved his steak too. Lovely visit again thank you.

Slow service and luke warm food

Very disappointed with my visit the steaks were meant to be medium but were well tough and dry and when we discussed it with the waitress she was not very interested not worth the money was a lot better when I went before the pic is the middle of the steak the rest was grey

Excellent service, lovely food and great choice of steaks. Improvements- communication as I dislike butter and asked for no butter, which our waitress did note , however my steak came with butter so I was unable to eat it and had to wait a little longer until this was rectified.

Booked it for my wife's birthday. Went with my wife and our 12 year old daughter. I booked it because I went to the Miller & Carter at Liverpool, on a stag do earlier in the year in, and really enjoyed it, so I wanted myself and my family to try the one local to me. The staff were polite and helpful but the food overall was quite disappointing. Myself and my wife both had the scallops starter. We both thought it was a bland dish with what appeared to be basically apple sauce with it, not complimenting the scallops. Think each starter was £12.50 and it certainly wasn't worth it. Our daughter liked the garlic bread she had. For the main course both myself and my wife had the 9oz rump steak. We both thought it was ok, but it wasn't as enjoyable as the steak I had at your Liverpool restaurant where I ordered exactly the same dish and sundries. Our daughter doesn't eat red meat and it was poor to be told that none of the three chicken dishes were available. She ordered the mack and cheese and it was poor, no real taste, and looked like it had been warmed in a microwave. We're not cooks but the pasta and cheese that we have at home is better than what was served to our daughter. We had to giver her our chips given that she wasn't enjoying the mack and cheese served. Myself and my wife both shared a banoffee pie dessert and it was quite nice and our daughter enjoyed her chocolate brownie/ice cream pudding. Overall though it was quite disappointing and we won't be going again.

The food and the service on our last visit was spot on, the steak was cooked brilliantly. The only thing that let down out experience was the fact that there was a couple seated next to us that for some reason was watching videos on YouTube with the volume on and their children were playing on iPads with their volume turned up as well. Multiple staff members went to their table to take orders and give their food and nobody asked them to mute their phones. I found this very annoying and the staff should know better.

Service was very good but after hearing so many times how good it is here we were very disappointed int the food Over priced burger and very small. Steak sanwich good but no better than anywere else. Wouldnt go again

Came here with my partner to kick off our festivities with the festive menu! Atmosphere brilliant and decorated beautifully. Partner had the gravlax starter, I had the goat cheese with sourdough starter and we both had the turkey ballotine wrapped in pancetta. The food was exceptional. My only complaint is that the sourdough bread was very very hard and crisp. No way to eat it with a knife and fork! But the quality of the food except for this was amazing. Our server was Alison. She was friendly and attentive, which made our experience all the better. Would definitely dine here again. Thinking about booking for birthdays next year!

Love coming here. It’s a firm family favourite for us. The service is always top drawer and this time around Leanne couldn’t do enough to make our visit just perfect.

The steaks were great. My Wife thoroughly enjoyed her rare Fillet steak, although the Scallops were overcooked and tough, which was disappointing. My ribeye was delicious, even though I ordered it medium rare, and it arrived medium. We will certainly be back

Cold food and waiting for drinks.

This was our first visit to the restaurant and overall we found it a good experience. Our host for the evening was Molly who immediately put us as ease with her warm and friendly welcome. Molly explained the menu, how it worked together with the choices available. She recommended the lobster tail, which was delicious. We will definitely return. Good food.

Love Miller & Carter , but this was the first time trying the sharing Sunday Dinner Platter. All the meat was cooked perfectly as you would expect, Camembert Mash was spot on. I only had 2 issues which were very minor so it’s probably just me 1- The vegetables were slightly undercooked so they still had a raw taste to them, I like my vegetables Al dente don’t get me wrong but they could have done with a bit longer. 2- The roast potatoes appeared to be just deep fried new potatoes, might be nice to do them properly and cook them in beef fat with some garlic and rosemary. The service was brilliant, big shout out to Rory who couldn’t have done any more for us. We will definitely be back.
