Came to miller and carter mirfield 9/11/24 to celebrate a family members 18th birthday very good food as always a tad slow on one drink order but otherwise very good overall

Came here with my fiancé to celebrate our anniversary and was served my mark. He was polite and very helpful. Talkative and made us feel comfortable. Food was amazing as always and will be back

We went to Miller & Carter at Mirfield for their Thursday Night offer and we were served by Summer who was friendly and greeted us with a warm welcome. Our food was delicious and we will definitely return. Thank you for the great service and lovely food!

Lovely Sunday lunch at Miller & Carter with my dad. Great food as always, with lots of choice and new Sunday offers on. Summer our waitress was a delight, her ability to gage her customers wants and needs and adhere to it was second to none. 10/10 service Summer thank you. Great food + great service goes a long way!

We booked a table for 18 to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary 31 October 2024 on arrival we were met by the lovely Sam who made us all feel very welcome and took us to our table introduced us to our waitress Callie who was also lovely the food was amazing but the service was even better the work rate of Callie and Sam was just fantastic thank you for making our night very special

Service was great, Hugo looked after us and was very friendly and chatty.

We went to Miller and Carter Mirfield on Wednesday the 30th October. Our server Niamh was really friendly, there was a long wait on food but she dealt with it really well. The food was lovely when we did get it. The only negative was the host who was rude to both workers and guests. We had a bit of an issue with the cook of the steaks, and she asked us if we could “struggle through it” as it would be a really long wait for replacement. Overall lovely place however this interaction did ruin the night for us a bit.

Just had my lunch which was cooked beautifully. Was shown to our table by a friendly lady who I think was in charge.Then we had a waitress called Nieve who was really lovely,and couldn't do enough. Thankyou to Staff for making our visit so special.

We was placed on a table for 2 which couldn’t accommodate the food that we ordered which was the butchers block, 3 sides and 2 drinks. At one point we had to put one of our drinks on the floor, before all this we asked a woman to see if we could be moved to a bigger table and she replied we are fully booked even though the restaurant was at 1/4 of capacity. We asked for steaks to be medium, 2 was medium and 2 was rare which was leaking onto the plate from the butchers block. She came around eventually towards the end and asked if I needed anything, but unfortunately was too late. We have been here many of times, this place has gone downhill. Won’t be returning

We came out for a birthday meal and couldn’t have enjoyed it anymore. The food was lovely and our server was a delight. Our server Alison was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We have never had a bad meal at Miller & Carter, until yesterday! I ordered the Surf and Turf (8oz Fillet with. Lobster tail). The fillet was supposed to be served medium but it was well done. This made the fillet taste dry and inedible. The lobster was over cooked too and I couldn't get it out of the shell. The bits I did get out were rubbery. It was very busy and the kitchen was running behind. To be fair to the Manager at Miller and Carter, they offered a new steak but I would have to wait 30 minutes for a new one or they could remove my meal from the bill. I chose to remove my meal from the bill otherwise my husband would have finished his meal and would have had to wait for me. We were given a free dessert each too. It's a shame as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary! We will return but I don't think we will come back on a Saturday evening again. All of our previous meals have been amazing and these things happen when it is busy, I suppose. I have given 4 stars because all other meals we've had have been 5*, hence why we always return. However, due to my disappointment yesterday, I've given 4.

Served by the lovely summer sharing platter was delicious and more than enough for two people even had some over to take home fabulous ambience and spotless clean my fave place to go see you again soon

We are regular visitors to Miller Carter. The food is so good. The service wasn't as good as usual.on this visit ,they appeared to be short staffed but the lady who served us was very welcoming and friendly.

We came for a birthday celebration as a table of 6. Lovely server called Summer looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble, drinks were kept topped up and she was very knowledgable and helpful when we had questions regarding the menu. Thank you so much we’ll be back!

The food was very good. Although it was slow to get our meals, our reservation was at 6pm. We ordered a starter, then our mains didn't arrive until around 7:45pm. It was very slow to get our dessert too, probably about 30mins after ordering it. Be prepared to wait on a busy Saturday. The dessert description didn't mention pomegranate - which neither of us like, so we wouldn't have ordered it had we known. Also, you really needed a knife and fork for the poached pear rather than a spoon because it was pretty hard.

Love this place, we always order the butchers block because it has a bit of everything. Food is always great, we were looked after by Abi today and she was great. Very attentive, friendly and helpful. Price is above your average prices but it is worth it. Also great allergen service with a dedicated gluten free menu. Perfect. Would highly recommend the butchers block, Argentinian Malbec and Sticky toffee pudding (gf).

Music was loud and got louder as the evening progressed, food and service was excellent, however it would be nice to have consistent size options across the 30 and 50 day steaks. (if you want 8oz you had to have 50 day)

Poor experience within a minute of sitting down. Attended M&C Mirfield for a family birthday. As I sat down to greet my family, having driven 45 minutes to attend this special occasion. I was rudely interrupted by a lady in glasses and a bob haircut (I believe the manager) who demanded I removed my hat. I had only just arrived at this point so was still wearing my hat and jacket. I found this extremely rude and quite embarrassing in front of my family. Luckily I was in a group or I would have taken my business elsewhere immediately. All wasn't lost as our server for the meal was Callie and she was extremely professional and very pleasant throughout. Shame my experience was spoiled by this rude member of staff.

Always and absolutely love this place . They had just changed the pudding menu, and wow, we can highly recommend the lemon tart. As always, the steak was cooked to perfect, and the options to go with are great . Will definitely be going again . The picture is of the 8oz Sirloin, onion wedge, chunky chip, bone marrow, and the lettuce with Stilton.

Food was good , but the service was very slow, had to constantly reach out to the waiters to remove old plates, glasses and left food. Also not very good service with ordering drinks, bringing extra cutlery , dessert menus to then left being sat 15 minutes awaiting to order dessert. We paid the bill in one full card payment to then be called upon arriving home to inform us there was an outstanding bill on our table, upon explaining several times, it appears the staff had rung the wrong customer up. shocking really as our bill was £450.00

We went to miller and carter for a little date day. It was our first time dining and miller and carter and we were served by Mark who we found to be very delightful. He went the extra mile which made our service very pleasant, he is a credit to the team. All in all, very lovely experience

OMG one of thee best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Oddly it was our first time visiting Miller & Carter and we will certainly be back. Our visit was made more exceptional due to our server Callie, she had excellent knowledge to give us the ultimate experience, a very happy and smiley personality and in my eyes a great moment of the team.

Overrated, overpriced & undercooked..!! Had to wait 45mins for the worst steak I've ever had. Won't be going back.

Extremely disappointed with the entire evening, the service was very slow, my steak was only just warm but I'd been waiting that long I ate it, should really have sent it back, my wife's irish coffee was also more or less cold, did get a slight discount but you would expect a place like this to be nothing short of perfect, need to up your game Miller and Carter

The meal was fantastic, the staff members were all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu including the allergens after I mentioned I had an allergy to nuts. The food was perfectly done to order, and my partner was fortunate enough to get one of the limited edition 16 oz sirloins and it was amazing. I had the pan-roasted lamp rump and this was also perfect.

Lovely meal although I have knocked one star off for the food because the ribeye steak I had tonight wasn’t as good as the ribeye I had here a year ago which was a shame. However still a great meal, great atmosphere and great service. Our waitress Janice deserves a special mention, she was friendly and attentive despite the place being very busy we were well looked after, she was excellent. We will be back.

Loved it here, the waitress looking after us was very cheerful and chatty but not intrusive, the food was outstanding and we even managed a cocktail, all round would definitely go back.

Service and attention on what I thought would be a quiet Monday evening was excellent…it wasn’t quiet….it was practically rammed! (At 6.30) Which says a lot. The staff, atmosphere, food and service was fantastic. Will I go back? Definitely!

Brilliant service from our waitress, Janice, very professional, and helpful, kind and polite,down to earth, great food very tasty, great atmosphere. The only downfall was that we didn't appear very welcome when first entering as we didn't have a booking, but once our waitress took us to our table we felt very welcome and looked after.

Overall a lovely experience. Food was good, cocktails were good & service was good. I have had a couple of not so good experiences which put me off a bit but this time it was lovely.

A fabulous chateaubriand cooked to perfection. Our waitress, 'Summer', was a delight. We just felt the music was a bit loud (kill conversation) and it was a little dark (romantic???). However, for a pair of octogenarians it was a most pleasant evening.

The food was amazing and cooked to absolute perfection. Our server was also amazing (Nina I think!) We really loved our meal and it was worth every penny

We went to miller and carter huddersfield today the food was amazing and the the service was on point. Abi was really friendly and made sure we had a great experience best service we have received in a long time. Well worth coming if you love steak. The ribs were also so tender and taste out of this world.
