I didn’t have to ask for anything twice, which is always appreciated.

Enjoyable experience. Friendly staff. Had the smokehouse platter for 2 which was delicious. . Nice touches like popcorn and the cinema which would be nice if you had kids with you. Lots of space inside and there are tables outside if the weather is nice. Had a minor issue which was sorted out by staff. Would definitely return. Near Bradley woods so had a nice walk there and back.

The food was absolutely lovely, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service. A friend and I arrived early to drop off a birthday cake for one of our friends. We spoke with a man at the front desk, explained that we were there early to leave the cake, and provided the name of the birthday girl. He acknowledged this, and we left feeling assured that everything was understood. After our meal, the staff brought out a doughnut for our friend’s birthday, which was a kind gesture. However, we reminded a staff member that we had actually brought in a cake specifically for the occasion. We waited another 10–15 minutes, but nothing happened. When we were approached to pay the bill, my friend got up again to ask about the cake. The waitress mentioned she knew it was our friend’s birthday but had no idea there was a cake. Eventually, after a further 15-minute wait, the cake was brought out — still in the box, with no candles lit, no singing, and no real acknowledgment of the celebration. After the effort we went to in bringing the cake early and communicating everything clearly, it was disappointing that it was handled with so little care or attention. This really took away from what should have been a special and memorable moment.

Food and service good. Nice atmosphere with a lovely balcony to eat out on summer days. Portion sizes however a little stingey for highish prices.

Our first vist, first impressions great, then it felt very much like we were forgotten about, food was good but for price was expecting larger portions. Took me ages to pay the bill could have easily walked out. Wish I had was just ok for the cost.

Not bad, but well overpriced and small portioned for what it was - felt a bit like fast food at 4x the cost, like a sports bar with TGI food, not that TGI overly floats our boat.. It was nice to try and I had the Texas Brisket which was supposedly the star of the menu, but just felt fatty, possibly my fault for not choosing more carefully.. Wouldn't return at that overall price, no chance, but made a nice change of venue for eating at - probably worth a visit to see if a person liked it?

Not only a great menu and atmosphere, this place is like entering an experience. When you enter the building its like you've really stepped into Texas. The staff are great (except one that just didn't have the same vibe as the others) Food is well cooked and well presented and delicious. Definitely recommended 👌

We had an awesome meal here for our 6th Wedding Anniversary/Wifes 50th with our friends. Service was great, especially high praise goes to our server Lara who was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. I had the 'go hard or go home' burger, which seemingly didn't look as big as the photo but was very tasty. We shared a lot of the food around and we were all impressed with the quality. Quite annoyed with ourselves that we've taken this long to visit, but we'll definitely be back ! 2 big 👍👍's up !

If you are looking for a filling meal, you get a lot for your money! Food was definitely unique in the area, but service was lacking a bit. Some dishes weren't mind blowing but scratched the itch we had for some smokehouse style food.

Food was rubbish and cold, took ages to come out, one brisket meal was just full of fat hardly any meat and the chips where cold, waiters where hard to get hold of also

Unprofessional moody service. Didn’t enjoy even a bite of any starter or mains. Three time they changed the starter and then removed it from the bill.. had to wait long for someone to take the order. doesn’t worth a single penny.. ruined my sons birthday as had to get burger on the way back home..

Superb service. It was my partners Birthday and he was greeted Happy Birthday by the staff as soon as we checked in. Firework and cream donut followed our meal. We had the sharing platter which was excellent - only reason not given it 5 stars was could have been a few more sides to combat the meat!! Highly recommend for a BBQ feast.

Really surprised at the quality of the food, attentive service and selection. The brisket and slow cooked meats are delicious, sides are plentiful and overall I recommend this for a high quality bbq experience. Not the chain pub I thought it would be. 5/5 and highly recommend.

Brilliant atmosphere, attentive staff and absolutely amazing food.

Fave is the beef rib. We go regularly and it never disappoints. Only slight gripe is all the areas inside have LOUD music. Tried outside this week and was perfect, allows dogs outside too.

Was ok, food not as good as previous visits. Had to send one dish back as cold when served . Ordered the sirloin steak which was again not as previous visits, it was a bad cut and over cooked, ordered medium rare, served medium to well. For £27 this was a poor steak. Also ordered a rack of ribs, these were again not as good as previous visits and dry rather than melt in your mouth like normal .. Shame really as we come here often but think we have now had enough..

Amazing place, done the platter twice and was just as good as the first time!

We went to celebrate our wedding with our daughter and they looked after us from start to finish. They got us a card, a bunch of flowers, a bottle of Prosecco, a box of chocolates and they brought a cake and sparkler over at the end. The food was AMAZING and our daughter loved the cinema! We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thank you to all at Hickories!

Amazing experience here, food delicious, drinks outstanding and service remarkable. Everything there was amazing, quite hard to match by any other establishment, And without a doubt I will be coming back here in the very distant future. PS - Also had live sports on too!

Really enjoyed our meal out yesterday. Joseph was fabulous, made our meal that bit more special. I will definitely come again.

9 of us went and staff were great but we waited ages for food and desserts we were there for nearly 3 hours not really happy this time we went

First time at Hickory’s this evening and it was amazing!! The decor and atmosphere was unlike anything else in this area. The food was top quality. Will definitely be coming back.

I've previously been to the Hickory's location in Poynton which I loved. That was brunch, but this visit to Huddersfield was for dinner. Although the experience was good, the Poynton visit was just so much better. 3 of us had food and drinks this night. There was nothing negative about the meal, but there was just something missing in atmosphere and overall service that I can't put my finger on.

If I could leave more stars I would! Came here for my 21st birthday over the Easter weekend and had an unforgettable experience at the Hickories Smokehouse in Huddersfield. All the staff were superb, very welcoming and happy to help. A special shoutout to Jacob who was our host that night, made the experience so much more special through his attentiveness and charisma. I am ever most thankful to the lovely lady that led my make-your-own-cocktail masterclass, she was super patient and a really good coach, plus the cocktail turned out amazing! The food service and quality (as always) was second to none, the portion size was abundant, kids loved their meals (they loved the refillable popcorn too!) and everything was really fairly priced. Overall, this visit was 100% worth the value and the experience you have created for me was overwhelmingly positive. Thank you for the bottom of my heart, that was great!

Great meats and sides. Go big or go home burger well youve got haven't you. Meat platter for one or two you'll be full. They had a singer on as well. Sports tvs on aswell great place will definitely be going again.

Wow this place was amazing! We came here for the first time last Friday for my husbands birthday meal and we both had a fab experience, so much so we’re booking to go back this weekend. The staff were all so lovely and friendly, our waiter was called Joseph and he couldn’t do enough for us. The atmosphere was lovely, they had a musician playing guitar and the sound was spot on. We decided to get the sharing platter for 2 and we were not disappointed, so much there we had to take some home as we couldn’t finish! We can’t wait to come back with our daughter as this is also a great place for kids with a cinema, sweetie station and playground. Thank you to all the staff at Hickories for making our experience special ❤️

One of the best places to eat in Huddersfield. Good for kids too, as the cinema is very popular with little ones. The brunch menu and sharing platter are the highlights for me.

If you want an all-American Smokehouse experience, look no further. I can't give this place enough stars and praise, excellent place to eat. Been there twice so far, you get a complimentary small box of popcorn on your table, the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is to die for, the mean is cooked to perfection. If your not sure what you want to eat, then I recommend the plater, you can either get this as a two person sharing platter or a one person platter, trust me you will not be disappointed. While you're there, you don't feel you're in huddersfield, you could actually be in America, eating in a Smokehouse. We love this place. Next time you're in the area or want something special, check it out.

Possibly the best hickorys we have visited, made my granddaughters birthday meal extra special, sang her happy birthday and let her behind the bar to make her own mocktail

Fantastic food and super family friendly. The staff couldn't do enough to help us despite how busy it was. Can't recommend highly enough.

I loved everything about this place. It was my 1st time being in here with my family visiting from Wales.......we were not disappointed!! They staff made some milkshakes with my grandchildren which they enjoyed so much and was such a bonus not to mention the desert we chose of marshmallow toasing on the table..........beautiful deco and very clean!!!

The starters were amazing but the mains were a little underwhelming. Will go again but probably get a few starters and sides as a main instead.

Just been up there for my birthday with my family and it was absolutely amazing really great food and the staff were really friendly and polite, can’t fault the place.

Just been to the Hickory for a meal. Very busy at 8pm on a Saturday night but absolutely no issues with service. We were early but sat at the bar until our time slot. The meal was beautifully cooked, hot, tasty and was exactly as we had ordered. The young lady who looked after us (Brooke) was very attentive, polite and made sure we were happy with everything. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Booking is recommended but it is definitely worth it. Meal for 2 people with drinks for just over 50 quid.

I recently visited Hickory’s Smokehouse Huddersfield, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. The smoked meats were cooked to perfection, and the portion sizes were generous—definitely worth every penny. What made our visit even more special was that the staff found out it was my birthday. They went out of their way to make the occasion memorable, surprising me with a little treat and a warm birthday greeting. It was such a thoughtful touch that really made my day! From the amazing food to the fantastic service, I can’t recommend Hickory’s Smokehouse enough. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just craving some top-notch BBQ, this is the place to go. Can’t wait to visit again!

Having visited the Adel branch in Leeds which is excellent I was expecting high things but sadly it just didn’t quite hit the mark staff good but not that good food average and they sent the platter out without the brisket but we couldn’t be bothered to complain very sloppy service and a sub par experience… such a shame

Went on a Thursday and had the special bbq feast. Great, couldn't eat it all. Service good all round.

Food decent enough. Not a great place to eat on a weekend if you don't have kids, it's incredibly noisy with them running riot. We've been during the week and had a much better time. Also the entire time we were there all four staff upstairs spent the vast majority of their time slagging off someone called Josh. I assume he's a new manager as according to those working upstairs the power has gone to his head and he needs to learn how to speak to his staff. I feel sorry for Josh trying to manage those members of staff.

Great night. The staff are amazing ,the atmosphere was great with love music. The food....omg , go hungry,in fact,don't eat for a couple of days before going!! Would definitely recommend

I lived in Georgia USA for many years and since returning to the UK I’ve missed the taste of an authentic southern bbq Everything about Hickory’s was perfect. The Brisket is as good as any I have tasted any where in the US and the fried pickles (frickles) again as good as any I’ve tasted back in the states Skye was our server and was excellent and the atmosphere was just like my favourite bars over there. I highly recommend a visit

Just brilliant for a family meal out. Simple hearty food the whole family loved. But the service is what makes this place. It was my daughter’s birthday and the staff took care to remember her name, chat to her lots, brought out a cake with sparkler and invited her and her sisters behind the bar to make their own milkshakes. They had an amazing time and all asked to go back the next day! We will definitely be back!

We love Hickorys. The food is always great and a lovely atmosphere. Kids love the cinema room, popcorn and grape soda and it also has a small outside play area. The staff are all friendly and efficient and they make birthdays/occasions special.

Good food …good friendly service…….as i was about to leave the car park they rang me to say two £20 notes were stuck together so id over paid them and to nip back in so completely honest also..a good place to visit……

The service and atmosphere were absolutely lovely! We were really looking forward to the smokehouse, but it didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The food was quite average, small portions, and drinks were a bit pricey compared to a local pub. We’re always happy to treat ourselves, but at nearly £90 for three mains, three drinks, and a tip, we left the place hungry and neither of us are big eaters.

Been to the Adel one and now Huddersfield one and both very good experiences. Food was great, went for my birthday and felt very welcomed.

The food and atmosphere was great- the host was lovely (tall gentleman with arm tattoos and beard) and the lady to took our payment (think she was a manager- very long blonde hair in a ponytail and red chequered top) and cleared our table was lovely and friendly too- the chef going out to sing happy birthday to another guest was great, thought that was a really nice touch. However our waitress unfortunately could have been a lot better - she wasn’t friendly or welcoming, didn’t do a check back, didn’t ask us if we wanted anymore drinks, didn’t clear our table just walked past us multiple times and was very short when we asked her questions about the menu - if it wasn’t for this it would have been 5 stars all round

The place looks great,with good theming inside and out. Staff were helpful getting me an accessible table...though we were waiting a fair while between courses and no one cleared our table between courses that meant our mains had to sit on top of dirty dish plates,as even when they brought our food and saw no room because of all the starter dirty dishes they didn't clear the table which was very poor..good is decent but very expensive

Came for my birthday, was sat where you get to watch the staff do their thing in the kitchen. A guy with dark hair, think I heard his name was Daniel, pure entertainment for the night. Poor guy was rushed off his feet juggling everything. High pressure environment for a busy Saturday. The guy needs a raise because I couldn’t do it. It was eye opening to see what kitchen staff have to do sometimes. Food was lovely, 10/10 recommend. Thankyou Hickory’s x & thanks Dan(?) you didn’t know it was my birthday, but the brief chat before me and my partner left hoping we had a good time aside from seeing you stress was much appreciated by us & we appreciated your hard work today!

Absolutely fantastic place. Came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. The staff were incredible, very accommodating for a party of 25. The food was spot on for all of us. No complaints at all!

The family loved it. The food was amazing, our server, Brooke, was lovely, the atmosphere was fabulous. The live music was great and the kids loved the cinema. We had the sharing platter and it was so tasty, the portion was massive. Wait times are a little long but the restaurant was packed so I'm not surprised. The atmosphere more than made up for a little wait time. Sam, who was singing live, was amazing, I'm so glad he was booked the same night we visited. Fantastic family night, thank you Hickory's.

Wonderful food and service to match

Been here loads and was blown away each time. Food is always amazing and filling and the staff have never even thought about being anything but kind. However a few little things hold this place back from being completely perfect, first of all it’s a tad pricey and a hair was found in my tables food but this is a one off in the many times I’ve been, as well as them being out of quite a few of the menu. Despite of this, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Hi usually Go to hickory’s on average once every month/two months. It was my little girls 8th birthday yesterday and decided hickory’s. Good service at first but then drinks took longer than expected and drinks missing. Meat from the sharing platter was dry and over cooked. Sauces and seasoning had to be asked for repeatedly. Then the cake( I provided) came and plates and knifes for everybody had to be asked for again. Really disappointed with the service if I’m honest, such a shame as for £300 for 7 people you kind of expect more.

Went here to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 30 and they accommodated us brilliantly. The food came out all together so nobody was waiting, the staff were brilliant and of course the food was delicious.

It was my firtst time in the place. I was happy when I found that they make corn dog! The food was delicious. The staff very friendly. Many people were celebrating their birthdays. As United States of America style, they charge 7% (I think) tip included in the bill but you can take it off if you want. The gravy was the best I had so far in the UK. The only think I didn't like was the buch of smokers right on the entrance so when you get in or go out you get the smoke right on to your nose wich is no nice. Smoking so close to the entrance should be prohibited. There is lots of space where smokers can go and damage their lungs without damaging others. But... I will definitely get back.

Went on a Thursday and did the barbecue blowout offer.. we shared it between 2 as its big.. it was nice ..apart from the ribs they were dry but would put me off gett6the offer again! They have done a fab job of doing it out from being the old pub that was there!the service was friendly and quick!will definitely be back

I had the brisket and chips, which were absolutely delicious, though the food felt a bit pricey. That said, the quality of the food and the exceptional service make it a worthwhile experience. The staff are warm, attentive, and truly enhance the overall dining experience.

We had an incredible dining experience tonight! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely outstanding, perfectly smoked, full of flavor. What really made the evening special, though, was the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. A perfect combination of delicious food and exceptional service. Highly recommend!

I think we must have shares in Hickory's. We champion Hickory's to everyone who loves meat. they also do Vegan which is not to bad. The sharing platter is to die for and is well worth the money, could share between 3/4 tbh. The breakfast stack is a better version of a sausage / egg muffin, however the tater tots with the dust is sublime. Been with friends and family and never had a bad word, always "that's the ... best ever" Great team.

Never been here before, so once a first for me. Really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was beautiful. Giant onion rings were amazing. The platter for 1 was huge and got to admit defeat. So much meat....
