Miller & Carter Enderby in Blaby

Very regular haunt. Great staff, great food.

It has been around a year since we last visited this Miller and Carter and everything was as good as the last time. Food quality and quantity was spot on and we left very happy.

It's steak and chips, but better, I think everyone should go to Miller and Carter's at least once in their life..

Wasn't as good as I expected it to be

The service was so lovely, my brother is autistic and likes his food very plain. Our steak expert Emma L was very friendly and kind to us all especially my brother and she didn’t make him feel anyway and catered to his needs! She also asked for any occasions and brought out a lovely platter so thank you for that you made the birthday boy thank you very much!! Our chef was Kate, my steak was cooked to perfection my vanilla brother even liked it and my starter was so fresh and gorgeous thank you, will definitely come back!!

Wow, what a fantastic birthday celebration! Laura was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, she certainly knows her steaks 😁 absolutely blown away by how special she and the rest of her team made the night, I will definitely be coming back. And I won’t be waiting for my next birthday, that’s for sure. And special occasion, Miller and Carter is the place to go. Thanks again Laura

Booked a table then waited over 10 mins at desk for someone to seat us. Staff just walked past us and said nothing. Not very welcoming. Food was good. Drinks, would not make a French Martini, like they have always done in the past. Disappointing

Had a pretty terrible experience from start to finish, now I’ve been M&C many times and it’s been almost flawless every time but this time was so bad a little Google review was needed, it started waiting for a table we had booked but that wasn’t a real issue bar is lovely and fire was on, it got terrible from the moment our pager went off, we was show to our table but feeling like an inconvenience tbh, maybe that was just me, we waited another 20 mins before our “steak expert” asked us if we was ready to order? (It was busy) Very blunt no warmth very cold, we tried to order several things but so much food was unavailable at 7.45 on a Saturday night!! The young girl serving us who just had zero care about anything in fact me and the Mrs just found it funny how much she seemed she wanted to be anywhere else but serving us, to top the night off the steak arrived one with the wrong sauce and both under cooked, we ate our meals quickly declined the dessert menu paid around £82 ish and left, now I love miller & carter and have never before had a bad experience so I’m gonna put this down to a one off, I did fill in the questionnaire thing explaining in more detail but i guess those things are a waste of time. (Visited 4th Jan)

Had to wait 30 mins to be seated which wasn’t the best but the staff were apologetic. Our server was Emma S and she was great really helpful and kind and felt like she actually wanted to be there to help give you the best experience. The food was very nice and above average but wasn’t exactly the best steak I’d ever eaten but for the price you can really go wrong with the quality and service.

Have met here for the last few Christmases, but feel this could have been the last sadly. The first thing that struck us was the lack of staff. Usually this place is bustling and staff cannot do enough for you. This time, we were lucky if we could find staff to actually do anything. Our order was taken by a young lady who looked as if she may have been in bed ten minutes earlier! Not what we've been given to expect from such a supposed upmarket place. Starters arrived - they were OK, but that was the best comment they got from our entire party. When mains arrived, the disappointment continued. One steak was returned. Should have been medium rare and was cold in the middle with the faint sound of mooing in the background - it came back almost cremated! My fillet (rare), was not seered on the outside, cold & blue. It didn't look at all appetising. Sad really as this is a steak restaurant serving prime produce & presumably having chefs trained specifically how to cook this? We've never had an issue before. Was the housekeeper fulfilling all the jobs that day? The condiments we asked for never arrived - think our server, who I won't name, must have gone for a lie down. Mini desserts & coffee arrived about ten minutes apart and our only choice of cutlery was the coffee spoons. The restaurant was hardly busy and did itself absolutely no favours this day. The bill wasn't cheap, but felt like it should have been. What on earth had happened? For those of you that haven't been before, give it a try, it's always been amazing, hopefully they've got over the Christmas blues & have put a spring back in their steps.

Excellent service tonight from our lovely waitress Judith. Polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Miller & Carter (Mitchell & Butler) look after her, she's an asset! Food wasn't quite up to the normal standard but we still had a lovely evening.

Paid a supplement for a ribeye steak that (I know they have fatty marbling) was of poor quality very scraggy and large piece of grissle and almost cold had a lot better from aldi ps the service was gog

The service was very attentive, the food was very, very good. Steak was cooked perfectly. Our steak expert Emma L really knew what she was talking about and chatted to us to find out why we had chosen there and if it was for a special occasion. Really enjoyable meal, definitely go again. Grill chef Allan cooked a mean steak. Chateaubriand was superb.

Kept us waiting for 45 minutes at an empty bar, with plenty of tables open even though we had made a booking. Once seated we were brought our bottle of wine which had already been opened; had to pour our own wine and water. Wrong starters delivered to the table. Surf and turf 👍. Well worth driving the extra 70 miles to the nearest hawksmoor.

A great Xmas lunch - thanks all

We visited miller and Carter for our anniversary meal and have to say, the service majorly lets it down. We have visited before and the service was terrible however after some good experiences in other Miller and Carters up north, we decided to give it another go… We asked for the wedge to come 10 minutes before the main as they tend to come too soon and you don’t get a chance to eat them. The wedge came at the same time as the meal and when I questioned it the manager said that he had been asking to waitress to take the food but she was busy and only certain people can deal with allergens (I’m coeliac so need the food to be gluten free). We left it at that however the steak that came (Butchers block), had butter on them which hadn’t melted. I felt the steak and it was all cold, not even slightly warm after it had been left out on the side and not taken to our table when it was ready. They took the steak back to redo it but left the sides on the table, we ate our wedge whilst this was happening. The steak came back much better, was hot cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed it however we then had cold sides. The waitress didn’t even question or ask anything about the sides but by this point we couldn’t be bothered to send them back as well. 5-10 minutes later the manager did come with fresh sides for us. The staff were apologetic however I feel we should’ve atleast had a free drink or dessert for the issues we had. No one came to ask us if our food was ok. The service was terrible. I ordered a gluten free banoffee pie and the waiter (who wasn’t our server) came over with it and said ‘is this yours?’ No telling me of what it was and whether it was gluten free and suitable for me. The table next to us had their food come out and they never even got a wedge dressing! The server asked them if the food was ok and they commented on this, they then had their wedge halfway through their meal. It appears they either don’t have enough staff to cope with the amount of people on busy nights or the servers they employe just can’t cope with a busy restaurant. Miller and Carter is not cheap, we spent £130 for the two of us, no discount for the problems we encountered and you expect the service to be high end for the price you pay. The miller and carters further north are incredible and this restaurant is awful compared to the ones we’ve been to up north. We won’t be going back to this one and we’ll travel further and try Hinckley next time.

Lots of parking, clean restaurant and toilets, plenty of space and not too crowded, good selection of drinks, food was excellent as always, waitress and manager gave great service in Enderby. Gluten free options and support was very good.

We had a lovely meal here at Enderby miller and carter for my birthday. The butchers block is definitely one to treat yourself to, to try a variety of steaks they were all cooked beautifully thanks to our grill chef Kate the fillet was our favourite . Aimee our sever recommend how each steak should be cooked and offered us dessert however we were too full.

The food is good if expensive for what you are getting. Service from Emma was excellent, though she did seem to be serving the whole lunch service alone.

We usually head to Miller & Carter on special occasions. Tonight we received the BEST customer service from Keeley. She was incredibly friendly, professional and very attentive. Keeley made our evening really enjoyable and we all agreed that was the best service we’d ever received from M&C! Thank you Keeley for all your hard work and for being so incredibly lovely!

Lovely lovely experience!! Came for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a great time. Food was beautiful and service was 10/10! The restaurant looked beautiful as it was Christmas time. Our waitress was Judith. She was incredibly helpful as we had an allergy as well (loved her sparkly lanyard too!). She also brought a birthday treat! All in all, worth the money and a really lovely night!

Sadly( and I don’t say this lightly) our visit today was disappointing. We chose Miller and Carter over a regular pub grub meal because we have visited on several occasions and the experience was positive. On arrival we were greeted with a great front of house staff member( lovely warm welcome) We were seated and then told a staff member would be over…. He did come over and was pleasant . We ordered from the festival menu ( 2 course) for an additional £5 you could have a glass of Presseco. We asked for water too… we waited… and waited. The Presseco arrived in dirty glasses( I should have taken a photo!) they had lip stick and I mean heavy lip stick! It was so obvious!!! We kindly asked for them to be changed. Of course the waiter was polite and apologetic. We waited… and waited. The water came… we waited and waited… then the Presseco arrived( there was more in one glass than the other and it was pretty flat ) The waiter had highlighted he was new. We are patient and understanding so did not want to make him feel uncomfortable. The side order of lettuce came … it sat there for at least 15 mins before the mains rather than all together. Can I point out at this time we had been sitting for a good while. The meal was lovely! Good presentation! And tasted great. Following the meal we ordered the dessert… we were bought menus and choose a cheese cake and the pears. Then the waiter ( bless him) had to go away… come back and we couldn’t have the cheese cake because it wasn’t on the festival menu ( we choose another one.. he wasn’t to know ) We waited…. We waited…. The dessert came well after we would have expected, the spoons were wet!!!! And dirty… we cleaned then ! A waitress came to deliver this and said there’s been a mix up and it related to the new staff member ( we felt this wasn’t really the most professional thing to do, putting blame on a colleague ) we explained that the new staff member actually had been really good! An all round apology could have been acceptable at this stage. Desserts were really nice!! Tasty… well presented! The waitress informed because of the issues experienced the manager would take something off the bill which we agreed we would be happy to accept this gesture. Then the bill came…. They had taken off the 2 drinks but charged the full price for the meals. We raised this with the waitress … she went away…. We waited… then she came back saying she tried explaining to the manager however she wasn’t able to understand so the manager would be over. The manager came( I had popped to the ladies) she said to my partner’ you wanted to see me” this was not correct…. Anyway he didn’t say anything but they proceeded to sort the bill correctly.( with the waitress who did apologise profusely) We left … now this is not about the money, this is about the experience having been spoilt. We are not complainers but to serve dirty glasses! And cutlery doesn’t make us feel valued as a customer. All this takes is 2 seconds to check before pouring a drink or taking cutlery. Sadly this questions as to whether we would return. Had a fantastic lunch here yesterday service was exceptional from Emma L , and grill chef Allan . Emma went out of her way to make our festive celebration special even though we were dining before the festive menu commenced . She was so friendly and proffesional we had a great time .
