Mi última visita a Gina fue el jueves 6 de marzo de 2025. Anteriormente les había dado múltiples oportunidades, visitando dos veces a principios de 2024. En ambas ocasiones, el servicio fue terrible — esperé casi una hora para la comida a pesar de que el restaurante estaba casi vacío. Sin embargo, la comida en sí era decente, así que decidí darles otra oportunidad después de su renovación de verano de 2024, esperando que hubieran mejorado. Desafortunadamente, no lo han hecho. Desafortunadamente, mi última visita confirmó que no tienen intención de mejorar. El 6 de marzo intenté pedir comida para llevar. Después de llamar por más de 30 minutos sin respuesta, fui en persona a hacer mi pedido. El personal era frío, pero lo pasé por alto. A pesar de que el restaurante era tranquilo, mi pedido de comida para llevar de fufu y sopa tomó 1 hora y 20 minutos. Durante ese tiempo, ningún personal se comunicó conmigo. Después de 45 – 50 minutos, pedí una actualización y me dijeron repetidamente que mi comida estaba “siendo empacada” – una mentira que mantuvieron durante otros 25 minutos. El ambiente caótico, donde varios clientes también perseguían sus pedidos, era abrumador, especialmente como alguien con ansiedad social que generalmente encuentra que el estrés para llevar es libre. Mantuve la calma durante todo el tiempo, pero el ambiente desorganizado y la falta de comunicación fueron frustrantes. Otros clientes se enfrentaron a problemas similares, lo que demuestra que esta era una práctica estándar. Finalmente, solicité un reembolso completo. El dueño me evitó, no mostró remordimiento y no ofreció disculpas, algo que los negocios locales más decentes habrían hecho, si no se les hubiera ofrecido un gesto de buena voluntad. En cambio, me trataron mal por simplemente pedir mi dinero. Fui a Bongo Bar & Restaurant a solo cinco minutos, donde tuve una experiencia completamente diferente. El personal era cálido y educado, y mi pedido estaba listo en solo 11 minutos. Se han ganado mi lealtad para seguir adelante. Después de compartir mi experiencia en mis redes sociales personales, varias personas compartieron historias de terror similares sobre Gina. Una amiga me dijo que había visitado dos semanas antes el 23 de febrero con sus 2 hijos y una amiga. A pesar de esperar 1. 5 horas, los clientes agresivos que llegaron más tarde fueron priorizados y ella vio el pedido jollof de sus hijos siendo regalado a un regular que llegó después de ellos. Qué tipo de establecimiento hace eso. Algunos lugares incluso ofrecen bocadillos a los niños pequeños. Cuando pidió un reembolso, como yo, no recibió disculpas ni gestos de buena voluntad, incluso con el propietario presente. Está claro que Gina no tiene intención de mejorar, así que no volveré. Si valoras tu tiempo, dinero y tranquilidad, te recomiendo evitar Gina’s y apoyar lugares como Bongo Bar o Kate’s Café, donde te tratarán con respeto.

Friendly staff great atmosphere very good food. Only popped in for a drink but enjoyed a tasty cheesy steak and chips and 3 drinks each really enjoyed our afternoon. Very clean and warm atmosphere we will definitely be back and highly recommend a visit

We were drawn in by the super cakes that were on display in the window. They were amazing. We went in and had coffee and cakes which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are extremely friendly and the space has a chilled, relaxing vibe. I’ll definitely be back with friends! love ❤️ Love 💕 Loved it ❤️💕 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Légumes à peine cuits. Poulet bon mais un peu écœurant. Riz quelconque. La longue queue dehors laissait penser que ça pouvait être bon... il n'en était rien...

The lovely aroma had drawn me up the steps to investigate & two of us went to eat on 25/8/22 at 5.30pm. Not busy at that time & we sat outside. I had jerk chicken with rice & peas, a generous amount of tasty chicken with purple rice & black peas which was rather dry & not quite to my taste - next time I would opt for potatoes. My friend had a good size plate of coconut paella chicken. I had the pineapple & ginger juice but preferred my friend's mango smoothie. Friendly helpful staff & we'll be back soon.

We use to stop in this place every day Monday-Friday, (6 builders) but last few months the lady with the pink hair became really rude we decided to go to the other bakery just up the road ,

Me encantaba el café en el lugar. Agradable y fuerte Últimamente ya no es agradable. Lo intenté 3 veces durante el último mes y no volveré, ya que mi café con leche ahora sabe a leche tibia. Lo que haya cambiado, cámbielo de nuevo. Algunos de mis colegas también han dicho lo mismo.

Asia es una delicia absoluta para una camarera, nuestra comida tardó una hora en llegar, por lo que la cocina nos decepcionó, sin embargo, Asia tiene las habilidades perfectas de servicio al cliente y fue muy dulce tanto para mí como para mi amigo.

Group of 12 friends and we were looked after very well. The food was delicious as everyone enjoyed the huge mixed platters that were ordered. We also tried the oxtail and curry goat. Prices are very reasonable compared to a lot of places for same or similar food. Definitely a place to try out and I will revisit with my family.

Loved this place! The food was fresh and delicious, especially the Halim. Coffee was perfect, and the service was super friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, making it a great spot to start the day. Will definitely be back!

This is literally my partner and I's favourite restaurant in Central London. Fantastic food, service and vibe, and like nowhere else we've been. Just seen it's closing though? Devastated. :(

Booked a table here , for a nice evening meal but we could barely hear ourselves think let alone have a conversation. They had a DJ going that was absolutely blasting out the music at a high volume that we weren’t happy about but we thought we’d at least try and order food. We ordered our drinks both simple bottle of wine & a ginger beer , 25 minutes later still no drinks or anything even know they have tonnes of people on . We decided we didn’t really want to wait anymore with the music being so loud etc . If you are going to eat there don’t do anything after 6 it is ridiculous

This restaurant was in Barbados. Excellent.

Food delivered very hot tastes great highly recommended

I just want to point out that my order was for a chicken leg…meaning the quarter which is the thigh and drumstick. I guess if you only want to sell a drumstick you need to make it a lot clearer on your menu.
