Great service. Nice views across the beach and sea.

Hotspot for young adults and couples in the evening but very flexible environment and great for families in the day. They also have a kids corner in the restaurant with board games and other activities to occupy children. We spent a lot of our holiday in this place. Went for breakfast here twice, we chose the French toast and savoury stack of pancakes (bacon and maple syrup). Both so delicious! We also ate dinner here. We ordered the chicken wings and fish & chips. The food served at dinner was nice but somewhat overpriced. We ordered numerous cocktails here throughout our visit. The prices were expensive however we did not mind as we were in holiday mode and also feel like the prices are worth it for prime location of sitting on the sun terrace overlooking the sandy beach. We used this terrace to watch the Friday night fireworks which was amazing! The atmosphere on a Friday night suited us as a young couple with a live DJ playing 00’s R&B songs, but some families might find it a bit too noisy.

Great place, little pricy but you get what you pay for. The buffalo sauce for the wings is incredible, great level of spice, great tang and not your run of the mill franks. Shout out to whoever is making that sauce - it SLAPS. Well worth ordering the wings here!

Had my birthday lunch with family. Ash was a lovely waitress. Really bubbly and friendly. Our service was spot on. We will definitely be returning in the near future 😁

Only been here once but is was for the HSWRK Pier Pressure after party so it was absolute fire! Following the amazing party on the far end of the pier, this place went off! Big ups to Jethro and James who supplied the best housey vibes. Yes, the photos are wobbly and blurry but they perfectly represent my state at the time of taking them. Oh the venue was a great space to party in too!

Good cocktails, busy on Saturday nights, wasn’t impressed with the choice of music.

Worst jerk chicken I ever had, when we ordered the server said it’s only chicken breast available, I said okay but when the food arrived it was just steamed chicken with jerk sauce on top and more sauce in remiken , the chef who is cooking or serving has no clue what is jerk chicken please train you head chef and let him know what is jerk chicken which you change £25 just for a breast of steam chicken and rice

Drinks a tad pricey and choice of beers fairly limited. Nevertheless wonderful view onto the peer, beach and out to see. Balcony smoking/ vaping area handy if you're that way inclined. Large, airy environment for an afternoon drink. Attentive staff (food not sampled). Shame they don't take cash. It's the location than makes this place worth a visit.

Had booked a table here only to be turned away and told that our booking was never made because they are closed for a private function. The girl on the desk told us we must have made up the fact we booked online as their system is closed. When I showed her our confirmation to say we definitely booked in and they have emailed back to confirm she couldn't care less. Very disappointing.

Made a booking for breakfast and arrived only to be told the restaurant was shut for a private function. The member of staff asked if we booking confirmation. We showed the confirmation email and all she said was "You can't have got a confirmation because the website is blocked off". We were just told to try somewhere else locally. Quite disappointing because we liked the look of the menu and were looking forward to it. The booking system needs improving to avoid this happening again.

came with the family for my daughters 23rd birthday on 24/7/24. didn't start well as we'd booked for 7.15, but waited 15 mins to be seen and seated. the drinks took 30 mins (absolutely crazy) and when they did come, the tea came with no milk or spoons, asked 4 times for milk, after another 20 mins it never came, tea gone cold - sent it back. then the mains all came out 10 mins apart, by the time my daughter got her burger, we'd all eaten our cold dinners. the waitress did apologise and was as courteous as possible, but overall shockingly bad organisation and service. I live in Bournemouth and have been to aruba many times, but can honestly say never again.

A fantastic place to visit! Great views! We had a fabulous meal! Lush cocktails and amazing service! Special shoutout to Wolf and Emily I think their names were. They gave us the best service and were very accommodating on a busy night. We would 100% come back again.

Started off bad when waiting for a staff member but when experiencing the levels of service that Ashleigh had to offer it was worth it. Can’t be sad at possible understaffing. But I will always appreciate friendly and personable staff. Ashleigh made me feel like a regular and I hope she enters a position off management soon

Food was overpriced, took an hour to come and the food was poor in quality, tasted like it came out of a packet. we ordered drinks which took half an hour to come also. it’s a shame as our group had been looking forward to going to aruba for a long time.

They had fire dancers inside and it was quite cool but the outside area was so small that to get any air was like you were crammed outside. Very cramped inside when it's busy and the toilets were awful. Girls toilets was like a swamp.

Just wow!! This place has amazing views of the beach. Grab a seat in balcony and get some food and enjoy the view. I was there for hours. The food was good. This place has enough space groups and families. The service was ok, staff were very friendly.

Love it in here! I've not tried the food as of yet, but service for drinks is great. Cocktails are amazing and Aruba has some great deals 241 on certain nights. They have the option to sit inside or outside on the balcony overlooking the sea and pier. Beautiful views outside. Weekend nights are lively with space for a dance, live music as well as DJ sometimes. Dancers/fire Dancers with aerial hoop display were especially entertaining. Highly recommend this place for entertaining friends and family or a night out!

Watered down overpriced drinks. Service was slow but polite and pleasant. Just felt really dirty and dinghy in there which is a shame because the location and concept seems great. Feel the idea of turning to a club reduced the standards

I'm from Yorkshire, I travel down to Bournemouth quite regularly and this is my favourite place, just love it 😍.

I ordered the large prawns in garlic as a main course. When they arrived every single prawn had not been deveined. I had to pick all the black waste out with my fork on every single one. They were tasteless and had clearly come out of the freezer. I had to return my dish. It was removed from the bill in all fairness but it ruined what could have been a nice lunch. On a previous visit two years ago the menu had better choices. Two of our friends struggled with lack of dishes this visit.

Never been tired there after busy week, close to my home

Dined here on Monday 17th June. Food was shockingly bad and overpriced, service lacking even though there was only 1 other table eating. I paid £17.50 for the worst poke bowl I have ever eaten. I don’t usually complain but I couldn’t believe how many problems arose from 1 simple order - the bowl first came out with salmon instead of tofu, this was then switched out (would bother some vegans), the dish had NO SAUCE/FLAVOUR WHATSOEVER - I had to ask for some soy sauce so I wasn’t just eating flavourless raw tofu plain rice and veg, then realised smashed avocado was missing from the dish (my sister asked for it for me, because I already felt awkward about fussing at this point), and then the cherry on the cake was when the bill came out with a £22 salmon poke bowl which I had to rectify (not something I like doing). The rice was also not sticky rice as advertised but the least glutenous, least fluffy, untasty boil-in-a-bag like rice. The thing that saved it was a mini sriracha I carry with me, and the fact I was hungry. The waitress was apologetic but for the high prices plus 10% service charge this is just unacceptable. Our waitress was also rather aloof- despite the lack of customers she rarely walked past close enough to call for, as if avoiding us. She also forgot to put a guacamole and chips order through and a side slaw, despite noting these down. However I largely blame the chef for our disappointing dinner. How are you not embarrassed to serve up a completely flavourless, sauceless poke bowl at that price? As for the other dishes we ordered - the stir-fried noodles with prawns was overwhelming sweet and had 5 small prawns for £22.50, and the vegan cheese on a pizza cost us an extra £4! You don’t get these rip off prices in London! We don’t mind paying luxury prices for great food and service but Aruba fell way short. My 1 star goes to the extensive cocktail menu, sea views, party vibes. Also has a “Kid’s Korner” with games for kids. All in all wouldn’t come back ever again, even for a fraction of the price.

I booked this pub because of its location, near the beach, and it was on one level. We are a Over 50s Social Club and many of our Members have mobility issues, however, I wasn't told about the stairs, which caused some difficulty. Also the stairway was very dark an gloomy. The staff were wonderful very accommodating and patient however I would rate the food a 3

Harriet was very attentive throughout our meal. We ordered the full English and french toast, both of which were devine. Highly recommend

Stunning bar/restaurant. Over looking the beach, really nice view and really cool decor. The food wasn’t what I expected it to be, it wasn’t great. I thought it was just bland and overpriced for what we got, we sent back chicken wings some were cold. after waiting 45 minutes for them to come out they were cold took another 20 minutes after that to bring them out when our food was nearly finished. Cocktails were good!! they have outdoor seating too, after we had a bit to eat we sat outside over looking the sea. Next time I know just to come for drinks.

we paid for a student ticket and they refused entry because we had “sports attire” when we didn’t. If you wear shorts, even in May, you won’t be let in. DO NOT come if you are A UNI STUDENT.

Aruba is set in the heart of Bournemouth and has panoramic views of the sea and the beach - viewed from a magisterial vantage point. At night, for the clubbers out there, the music is pumping, and the staff friendly and welcoming!

The guy who served forgot to bring us our drinks until we asked him where they are. The food doesn’t taste good, the chicken was horrible way overcooked and dry. And it seemed like they cooked it in the old oil. The staff doesn’t seem to care about the customer. My friend asked for a drink without ice however they bring the drink with ice 🙄. As the end we didn’t enjoy our food and we still hungry, so we went to a different restaurant to get some food. Improve you service, food and drinks. The place is way overpriced for the food and service we received. Very disappointing.

I will never visit this place again, good took forever and service shocking I used the washroom facility and was absolutely disgusted by what I saw, no soap in dispensers, no toilet roll in any cubicle and when I tried to find some tissue I was horrified by what I saw when I opened one of the cupboards to find tissue! I left there feeling utterly sick to my stomach had I have seen the washrooms first I would never have eaten there! Disappointed as this is a sister venue to Westbeach which is fabulous, definitely needs to be cleaned and disinfected 🥺

Worst service ever, waiter was acting like he just woke up and forgot to bring the drinks, we got the food and the chicken had a foul smell and the panko prawns were visibly overcooked. Never again!

The atmosphere is cheap and catered to beach bum hippies and alcoholics, that like to pretend they have money. The food is subpar, and the service is awful. A bunch of ditzy 20 something's that don't know what you told them 2 min prior. Clearly no minimum IQ level required. Overall, subpar food, service, and atmosphere. Won't go back.

Calm in April. Average meal. Average pizza. Average burger better than many restaurants in Bournemouth. The restaurant is not bad.

I used to like Aruba but last time I went there with my friend to dance and wanted Pay by cash I couldn't. They only accept card payment which is unfair. I am very dissapointed. I was regular customer but beacause of the fact I can only pay by card I will find place which accept cash. I feel discrimanated.

Not ordinarily somewhere we would visit but it was close to the conference centre so popped in for some lunch. The place has great views. Sat in one of the green booths but quickly realised I’d sat in a wet patch so wasn’t too happy about that. Food took a little while to come. The pizza’s were amazing and we seriously recommend them… unfortunately though we were served raw pork on a skewer as a side dish. After a couple of mouthfuls my partner realised and took it back to the bar staff who apologised profusely and refunded the dish as well as our drinks which we were more than grateful for. Luckily escaped with no upset stomach thereafter. We would recommend this place but as a rule, check your meat!

Next to the bournemouth beach, Aruba is quite a place for the party. Ambience was amazing, food was excellent, only thing which didn’t work out for us was long wait for the food. I think they don’t have big enough kitchen that is what taking time for the food but other than that the place is must visit. Summer here would be amazing as they have outside deck for smokers and you can have drinks and food outside too, can’t wait to be here again in summer.

We attempted to have a meal at Aruba as a group of four friends. The staff were friendly and took our order fairly soon after arriving. The waitress was helpful with regard to one of our party’s food allergy. Sadly, it went downhill from there. Our starters took around 45 minutes to be served. When they did arrive three of the four dishes were stone cold and the fourth guest had to wait a bit longer as the kitchen had accidentally prepared the dish containing the allergen and were then making the correct dish. The waitress explained the problem and brought the ‘accidental’ dish to the table as a complementary extra for other guests to eat if they wished. Throughout this first hour the waiting staff were very apologetic and took our round of drinks off the bill, which was appreciated. We then waited almost another hour without any sign of our main courses. During this time we were offered another free drink. Whilst appreciated, we really just wanted the food that we’d ordered two hours previously! After being told several times that the food was just four minutes away from being served and then it not materialising we decided not to wait any longer. The manager was extremely apologetic and explained the cause of the problems. The staff had clearly had a terrible day and were doing their best. In the end the manager did not charge for the starters or drinks and we left to find somewhere else to eat. Even though this visit was very disappointing, the waiting staff and manager were responsive to our complaint and tried hard to make reparations.

Went to Aruba 2 years ago, tried to get served but ended up just being stood at the bar for ages being ignored so we left. (It wasn’t even very busy). Thought we’d give it another shot today but wasn’t any improvement. Very long wait to be served even though it wasn’t busy & drinks are extremely expensive (£7 for a pint…including shandies!?). Not worth the money/hassle sadly. It has so much potential but just needs someone to sort it out … especially the prices!!

At all costs, avoid eating here if you can. We finished after terrible starters. Untasted, sour buffalo chicken wings and overcooked chicken skewers . Everything tasted like supermarket oven cooked food. I’ve expected more from a restaurant. Overpriced! Drinks were lovely, location too.

Whenever we visit Bournemouth, we always end up in Aruba! There’s plenty of space in the bar with comfortable seating and sea views. Seating is also available outside, and on the right day, you get to see some lovely sunsets. Staff pleasant, food good, bar prices reasonable.

Nice place, overlooking the sea. The food was great. Had a great time there.
