Went there last Sunday, only just heard about this from a fried the week before. We went at a very busy part of the day around 2.30pm and we had to wait about 35 minutes to be served but we had a bottle of Star whilst we we were waiting. I tried my favourite Omtuo and peanut soup. honestly one of the best i have tasted outside. We will definitely be going back Nana Kwasi

Friendly staff who do a lot for their community (they were making free school meal bags for kids on half term when I went in) Food is tasty and big portions. Highly recommend

What a find! Within sight of that monstrosity that is Tottenham Football Ground just past the junction with Lordship Lane. Decor functional and plain, however, the kind and gentle service more than compensated for appearance. Lovely lady! The food? Wholesome, homely and very tasty. I had the Goat Curry, Rice and ‘Peas’, I’ll be back in due course to tease my palate further. So nice to enjoy lunch in a relaxed environment. Reasonably priced. Does ‘Contactless’.

I use the Blooming Scent regularly, I lecture at the college next door. I know my West Indian food and this place is really good. I was surprised to read some of the reviews but I’m guessing they’re from cafe culture individuals who expect relentless grovelling service for £8. My advice is, go in there, ask what they recommend for the day, ask for a cup of herbal tea, sit down and wait for your food to put in front of you. You will eat a large plate of excellent authentic home cooked Caribbean food. This will cost £8. Yes things happen at their pace. It’s a Caribbean cafe for goodness sake!

Pretty horrendous experience, awful customer service and worse fare on offer. Really poor visit and wouldn’t be back.

Customers are told food will be served in 5 - 10 minutes. I waited 30 minutes, and it was only when I requested a refund that the food came out immediately. Ruins the experience. The owners need to find a way of ensuring that the kitchen is able to keep up with orders and serve food in a timely manner. I won't be returning.

I was at a Prince's Trust event recently where Blooming Scent was the catering organisation which provided us with the food. Blooming Scent's food and service was simply brilliant! The non-spicy chicken was my personal favourite! The lady behind Blooming scent was also really lovely, friendly and positive to not just me but everyone else too!

First visit to the Bernie Grant Centre. Blooming Scent offer a range of Caribbean food in the centre which you can have before a play or film. Was busy and all the dishes looked good. Main meal is £8 and the portion sizes are generous. Chicken, rice and peas, salad and my friend had salt fish and ackee with rice, coleslaw and macaroni pie (mac and cheese). Would recommend it.
