Warm welcome followed by exceptional service from all staff throughout the meal, our waiter was incredibly polite and just the right amount of attentive. The food at the Plough was next to none, we visited before for a Sunday roast and I've never had a better roast beef. This visit was no exception, beautifully cooked meat and fish dishes served with fresh seasonal veg and perfectly balanced sauces. The crab cocktail starter was a particular showstopper, and the banana parfait was unique yet delicious. I noticed lots of awards above the cosy fireplace by our table, I was surprised not to see a Michelin! An absolute gem in a rural location, well worth the drive or a taxi home. We will be back again.

Just had the most delicious roast turkey and beef stew at The Greyhound. Absolutely fantastic food and brilliant service. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend a stay at Bell cottages! The pictures online really don’t do the cottage justice in reality - it’s really gorgeous and kept to such a lovely standard. Has everything you need with lounge/diner, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with double bed and a single bed and even a garden. Lots of little touches made a special stay - fresh flowers on the table and milk/cereal in the kitchen in case you arrive late. Rashieda was always on hand to check we were ok and went above and beyond helping with any requests we had. If you’re attending a wedding at Walkern Hall it’s the perfect location as well - a lovely village/country walk gets you there in 15 minutes with good/easy walking route. Pub still closed at the moment but you can get takeaway. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Don’t understand the negative reviews, always enjoyed big mikes from the jolly farmers to boxpark. Great food, and even the frozen fruit punches are lovely too.

Lovely restaurant in Stuart Hotel. Food is very nice indeed. Of particular positivity was Katie (restaurant staff member) who went above & beyond to enable specific meal requirements and was outstanding in service & manner. Other staff were all so helpful, friendly, and assisting. Outside hotel is basic, not pretty, but the service and standards indoors make up for this in every way. Can't fault how we were looked after, and the onsite restaurant is a real asset, as was the staff member who looked after us so well. Visited 2 days ago and was greeted by Badrul. He and his staff were very attentive and professional. The food was quick and brought to the table. Very impressed. The place was decorated very modern and clean. It takes a bit of getting used to when asking for a double double that you have to put your own sugar in. It doesn't quite taste like the canadian and I think it's the cream used. The coffee cup lids should be the canadian design also, these are much better. Prices do no compare to Canada

Completely dead despite it being a busy night out. Menu prices are only visible if you hold the page at a certain angle that catches the light - maybe that's why it was an £80+ meal for one?? Food completely underwhelming- starter calamari (three rings) rubbery and a dip that was way too glutinous....for nine quid!! Main course steak served on a cold plate - tasteless and uninspiring. Blue cheese sauce like nothing blue cheese related that I've seen before...I think it's out of an Aldi squeezy bottle of 'blue cheese sauce'. Also really glutinous and unappetising. Wine was mediocre, cocktail was meh, service good but felt like they wanted me out asap. No surprise it was so devoid of customers.

A total Disappointment I went in excited to enjoy a good hot chocolate and a latte, but the experience was terrible. The hot chocolate was undrinkable—overloaded with sugar and had a very artificial, unpleasant taste. The latte was just as bad, completely flavorless, like watered-down milk with foam. For a place that aims to offer a quality coffee experience, the drinks were a huge letdown. I wouldn’t recommend it.
