Got called a rude boy for asking how much longer its going to take as people ordered after me and got thier food before me

I must say we are very disappointed with the mixed chicken and pork dish that we bought. After a 3 hour journey home we opened a box of very salty meat which seemed like food colouring was used in it. There was a lot of long hairs on the pork too We could only take a few bites we were worried for our blood pressure, we won't be back. We were also overcharged for our drinks.

A phenomenal spot - big up Cheryl and crew. WMJC is such great value, and great food. Huge servings too. We got the Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork combo and Mutton Curry, rice & peas, spent a fantastic afternoon in Handsworth Park. Highly recommended.

Its tasty but I'm missing my steamed veg and my fruit punch drink.

Arrived just before closing at hockley Social club the other day. Got two jerk chicken dinners. Really, really good food. Lovely service.

It all went in the bin apart from the festivals.

Prawns was like mush and some parts of the chicken tasted off

I visited 6th Jan 24 at 10pm, the gentleman who served me was very pleasant, I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door. I ordered jerk chicken and rice and peas and steam veg and then curry mutton and white rice. The food was insane…sooo good, so tasty!! The jerk chicken particularly was well seasoned but not overly spicy from a heat perspective. I’m glad I came across the shop it’s a gem. I would definitely recommend a visit.

The food was way too salt n the rice could have being better with proper basmati rice.. am very disappointed

The food and the bottom of the polystyrene box were both burnt, yet the food was only lukewarm. The rice was crunchy in places (especially at the bottom). Pork seemed dry not up to its usual standard. Nothing fresh about the meal. Very disappointed, not up to its usual standards.

The customer service was very good. However we were not satisfied with the food as the prawns were undercooked, the pork and chicken were obviously days old. Waste of money. Had to order in uber eat after we got home.

Quantity was good, but food was not delicious, not spicy at all

Delivery driver was a nightmare he could not understand me when I told him he was outside the wrong apartment and if he turned around he would see me...had to shout in the end maybe brush up on understanding of basic English?

Must be THE best Caribbean takeaway I’ve ever tasted in my life! Would 100% come here all the way from Wolverhampton again AND tell others about it too. The flavours are amazing and the seasoned to perfection! Keep up the good work guys!!

We absolutely love this vendor. Food quality and value for money are right up there. We pay attention to social media pages to see where WMJC are attending and have yet to be disappointed with the food we received in 4 or 5 visits. A varied menu, with new options and old favourites. Halal meat choices, too, which is always ideal for our family. Often appear at 'digbeth dining club' events.

Good portions but I didn’t like the chicken. I also didn’t get any sauce. The food wasn’t the best.

We’ve had mixed pork and chicken loaded fries at Hockley Social Club, there was barely any meat in there, mainly fatty bits from the pork and some bones. Really disappointed. We did get there late and the owner served us the last portion which may have had something to do with the amount of food in each portion. We were charged full amount though so we still expected to get good food.

Jerk pork 😋 🤤🔥🔥absolutely delicious and the festivals are amazing really enjoyed the food here. Service with a smile very friendly staff. Loved being able to see the jerk chicken and pork being cooked the smell was divine. Would deffo come here again and id highly reccomend this carriebean food place.

Very disappointed, dined at Herbert’s Yard. £13 for a bowl of curry mutton which wasn’t full at all, the meat was pure bone, grissle and jelly fat. The bones were cut so bad there were tiny bits I had to be careful not to swallow or bite any. The rice was also dry.

I was given someone else's order after watching the estimated time constantly being readjusted and it was pork which I do not allow in my house...EVER. This whole treatment has been an absolute insult. I'm Not Happy

Absolutely fantastic, mannish wata just like my grandads in Spanish Town. Will order again, I just wish there was an option for hard food. Overall, may you always be in business, very happy.

If I could give 0 I would I’m very disappointed with the service I asked for jerk pork and was not asked if I wanted salad food came out half the size I expected for the price wen I said to the guy can I have rice with that then for my money he said I have to pay an extra £3 😂 mate I’m literally disgusted with that place further more the jerk pork is not better then JERKY JHON’s AT YEWTREE if they was open I would not have bothered with jerk centre by villa road!!!! The cup with soup was damaged, the lud was broken and in the soup, plus the spillage was over everything in bag. On the plus side what left of the soup was really nice also the pork dinner was nice as well. The delivery man was very apologetic. I would buy from this restaurant again, they just need better containers for the soup. Overall good value for money:)

Visited this takeaway. Bought mannish water. It was so salty it would make somebody's blood pressure go through the roof. It was vile. I wouldn't recommend this place for soup.

Some black Caribbean people who work in Caribbean restaurants need to attend etiquette classes if they're going to have interact with customers. So many times (in other restaurants) I have gone to order Caribbean food and the person taking ur order is so rude and unprofessional. Its very off-putting and I refuse to give them my money.

Wasn't busy when I arrived. Was served almost immediately. Asked for food that,thankfully they had. Had a little wait for the food ,no worries. He brought it to me and asked if I wanted to check it first, which I did. It looked and smelt delicious. He wrapped it back up and served me. Was please with the look and taste of the food when I got home.I have been back again.

My food was cooked great but once again no salad,last time no salad no gravy, which I ordered but seems no checking off going on. Tried to call but no answer. 30 mins calling not good if you have a problem with your food. Lovely food but your service of the end product needs checking so you get all your food.

It was expensive food 9 pounds for a small but cos I hadn't ate all day I was starving it got me but it was bland and rice was burnt salad was ok doe wouldn't go back there to be honest rubbish

Food was disgusting, was not fresh tasted like it was reheated and old. Should have looked at the earlier reviews. Food went in bin, the food at digbeth dining is actually nice. Won't be ordering from here again, if these guys put effort in there Food and service it would actually be a winner

Was delighted to taste the jerk at the Simmer Down festival recently and was not disappointed and goid customer service too. Honestly the best jerk I’ve had. Was worth the wait 10/10 highly recommend!

The rice was dry, fish dinner missing. When I called the attitude of the rude woman was well there is nothing I can do about it and telling me when her shift started like that. The chicken smelt gone off

Friendly Jamaican people that own the takeaway food shop. I had a lovely Red snapper fish with bammy. I’m going to try the Jerk Pork on My next visit to the shop.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Placed my order at 8pm received a confirmation text at 8.26pm food is with delivery driver. Some time has passed it’s 9.30pm so I have called restaurant turant to check where food is, a lady at the restaurant picked up, before I even got a chance to speak she abruptly said “whatever order you placed cancel it, delivery driver isn’t available we close in 20 minutes” and cut the line. mind you they close at 11.30 I continued to call it went to user busy. Now it’s 10pm on the app it says food delivered, to whom please? Because I haven’t received no food delivery! Absolutely shambles of a restaurant and customer service! Will be putting in a dispute and getting a refund! Just avoid this mess please.

If food is to be collected at a certain time then it must be ready or arrival. Not start to prepare on collection time. Apart from that I will always return, great food. I did not realise my order had no rice.. I ordered a mix which has always come with rice and salad. I got a small salad box with 3 large orders of mixed meat.. which did not make sense when each order was to come with the salad extra.. Some more description must be put on so that people understand. In the shop you order this and it comes with rice.

Mixed pork and chicken, got about chopped pieces of pork. Chicken wasn't at nice as normal. The fish was fried way too dry.

First order two weeks ago was so lovely thought I would go again as my mum who is 89 really enjoyed the fish. This time really sorry but the food was warm bammy very oily, festival stone cold. In this time with pandemic for people to spend hard earned wages on warm cold food inorder to give support please love to cook the food and love your customers. So many of our cultureral takeways cut corners once they get the support don't be please don't be one.

Salad ahould have come with the meal and it didnt. The meat portion was small.

If you want authentic Jamaican Jerk, both Chicken 🐓 & Pork, this is the place to eat. The staff are all very pleasant & the food is 'finger licking' fantastic. I would recommend this place to everyone 😋😋😋
