I had a quick bite MC n cheese with curry goat gravy & saltfish cakes all I gonna say is I went back the very next day for more but was closed 😭

Great portions, brilliant flavour, we had the stew chicken and curry mutton, plantain and coleslaw. All really good, strong 8/10. We’d heard good things from a few people in the area so will definitely be going back!

Calabash is a place where art meets culture. If the regulars and the staff are the jewellery of the crown the food is the biggest diamond. Highly recommend the trip.

really quick delivery & decent portion size. definitely agree that there wasn't a huge amount of meat on bone for £10, was mostly rice & pea, but overall still decent. curry goat was fab but the patties are the best

This was our first time trying Calabash, and we were nervous. But the food was excellent. The curry chicken sauce was the best I've tried, but my favourite item was the saltfish fritter. I will buy again soon.

Soup spilt all over the Pattie and fritter making everything soggy, all of the soup was in the bag. Waste of food.

First time ordering. I got the large curry goat with rice & peas and let me say not only did it arrive on time, but this is the largest large portion of curry goat I've ever received as a takeaway. It was delicious too. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

Absolutely disgusting. I don't know what part of the Caribbean the chef is from but he/she needs to stop doing what they are doing. The food was awful. Mac n cheese was pasta and two square slabs on top.. The stew chicken was basically browning and salt.. Will never recommend or order again

The saltfish fritter was excessively greasy and seemed to have been fried again. Unfortunately, it was inedible. The dumplings were a bit dry but acceptable. The ackee and saltfish itself were satisfactory.

Personally I wouldn’t go back to this calabash. I ordered 3 cornmeal porridge that taste bitter., in all honest it taste off. The quantity of the food has gone down hill. I then called up to let them know as I want my money back and they had the audacity to hang up the phone on me. Please people stop wasting your money on bad food and worse customer service.

Food is amazing and portions are nice and big

This did not taste anything like Oxtail. It was tasteless and very disappointing. Lots of fatty pieces too. I wouldn't have minded paying £10 for it, if it had been tasty but it wasn't so not value for money either. The pattie was rock hard and dried out. I could only eat the middle and threw the rest away. Overall a waste of money....have you changed the cook?

The chicken stew was excellent 👌

It was very tasty and I loved the portion size and the oxtail was fantastic I would eat this meal again.

had food from here before must of got a new chef all I got was saltmeat and 3 1/2 rice and 1/2 meat too tooo salty no flavor

I ordered 2 large soup and one of the soup top was smashed and all the soup spilt in the carrier bag….. Instead of one soup each, we had to share one between us. Don’t know if the driver was responsible or the way the shopped packed the food. Reported this to Just Eat and have received a refund.

Delicious authentic Caribbean food. They were also nice enough to give me complementary Salt Fish fritters which I appreciate. 1st time ordering food with this restaurant but will not be the last. Thank you :)

am very disappointed they was rude when I call them the second time they didn't want to speak to me they let hang on phone until click out ,not only that didn't get my food from wont ordering from them again and they wasn't helpful

I order small jerk chicken with rice and peas with a soursop punch. I like my food dry with a little bit of gravy but forgot to mention it to the young lady that serve me. I will pop in again at some point. Apologies for the picture quality but eating in the vehicle and light is a little bit poor. I didn't stop at calabash!

would've been four stars but ... Mac n cheese = horrible please never use mozzarella cheese in a Caribbean Mac n cheese it tasted so strangeee n disgusting I couldn't finish it. Food needed to be reheated which was annoying cause I've ordered from other Caribbean shops and my food comes hot. I ordered at 6pm so food should be fresh and hot rice n peas n stew chicken, roti and plantain was nice

I bought a beef and cheese patty with no cheese inside, the pastry is nice but the filling needs to be improved the texture of the beef was mushy like it was blended and it doesn’t have a lot of flavour.

These place has been here donkeys years and most of my times the staff have been nice. Food is good 👍

There is no delivery charge. I would like to give a tip. There is presently no facility at present when I pay by card. I do not always have have cash.

I'm really conflicted about this place because although the food is usually great, the service levels are pretty poor. The staff are slow and can ignore you for ages when you are queuing, so you can be waiting for up to 15 mins just to get served...many a time I've walked out and gone elsewhere cos I'm fed up waiting because I'm on my lunch hour and can't wait forever. A few of the staff are pleasant but on the whole they seem quite miserable and like you are hindering their day when you order...Some of them even seem to have a an attitude and are rude. The charge to eat in is a bit of a liberty. If you pick the right day and get one of the nice staff and there aren't many people in, then you get served quickly and it's a nice place to eat in and they play some nice music...but I'd say this happens only about half the time. Like I say, I'm conflicted.

Nice pattie. I would have like the oxtail and rice in 2 separate containers instead of one container for both. One half of my rice portion was swimming in gravy. I like to choose how much gravy I put on my rice.

Most of the staff are just really rude which is a shame because now I’ll go elsewhere. I would like to direct this at management because they’ll start to lose money, rude!!

Ordered curry goat with rice and peas, mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, roti and fried chicken. The curry was delicious. Meat was fresh and tender, flavour not too peppery and portion size was plenty. Fried chicken was and tasty. Roti was very light and fluffy and again very tasty. Had a little of everything (Mac n’ cheese was firm and delicious and coleslaw was creamy and fresh). I’m looking forward to having seconds later!

The oxtail was tasty and the hard food complimented the rice and peas. My one request to all Caribbean takeaways is to consider putting rice and peas in a separate container to the oxtail or other gravy meal. The customer can then choose how much gravy they're gonna put on their rice and peas.

The Rice & Peas was good and the steamed veg was very good,but the meat was very chewy hence I hardly ate much of the meat.

Food hit and miss. Rice was hard oxtail needed to cook longer. Staff miserable and unpleasant. Background music good. Calabash needs to fix up

Normally good - on this occasion Patties left in the oven too long , so pastry too hard. Curry Goat good. Salftfish dumpling good.Coleslaw good.

I frequently buy soup from Calabash but this is the second time it has arrived and had very little taste as if it had been watered down. I understand the need to meet the order request but I prefer to have good quality food for my money. When it is watered down it dilutes the flavour, the difference of which I can tell as a regular customer. Far better to cancel rather than send a mediocre order as it doesn’t reflect well on the quality that makes Calabash stand out from other restaurants.

The food was okay but having ordered 2 vegetable patties, I was not pleased that I was sent one beef and I vegetable pattie. More care should be taken with the orders because the customer might be vegetarian. As such I couldn’t enjoy my order because I don’t eat beef.

They charged me £3.50 when all I was meant to pay was £0.50 . I want my money back

The service at this store is horrendous! They take your money and don’t deliver your food and then lie and say we delivered it. Appalling service there is better Caribbean food shops near buy with better manners. I will never order here again not sure how you have been there for so long. Disappointing shop

Three pieces of chicken was disappointing for the price of £27.99p taste was up to scratch.

Eveeything was just waaay too greasy.

The curry goat and jurk chicken was really good . I didn’t like the rice and peas it was to soft and soggy

The cornmeal porridge is the best, the soup was so nutritious and the punches are refreshing so perfect for my wisdom teeth extraction you don’t get many places that sell porridge but calabash is a real spot which reminds me of back home Jamaica.

Delivery shows on time but food was cold

Meal on the whole just ok, have had waaaay better from other takeaways. Roti was rubbish, all squashed up in a box (left side looked like it had been put in box with no care) and hardly any filling. Food wasn’t very hot, not even warm. Was like it had been heated up in the container and then sent out for delivery.

Had curry mutton and rice and peas more bone and fat than actual meat. Portion was small for a large . I dine In. The table opposite me was left with I'm a mess for an hour from when I arrive till I lefted. Took me 25 mins to get my food Wish I went to caribbean restaurant in Leytostone . Never again !

Having waited for my order, I was disappointed to be sent mackerel a fish that I don’t eat instead of the the brown stew fish that I ordered.☹️

Driver was lost. Took my food in to the local park (Grove Hall Park). Delivered food outside of the delivery bag WAS STONE COLD ON ARRIVAL. Driver was rude and aggressively shouting, THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE
