Your establishment consistently exhibits significant operational shortcomings. Menu items are frequently unavailable, leading to considerable customer dissatisfaction. In 2025, it is unacceptable to display such inefficiency. The notion of "melanated time" as a justification for these delays is unprofessional. I urge you to improve your service quality.

Calabash is usually good But on this occasion Saltfish Fritters - NO NO NO !!! -greasy,no taste of salfish, - at all ! (Curry Goat & Lemon drizze cake up to their usual standards)

The most bland food I have ever eaten from a Caribbean restaurant. Orderered rice and stew; the rice was soggy and the stew was watered down. Absolute waste of money. Tasteless and disappointing. Will not be coming back.

I ordered two cups of soup! The soup were in two cups when the man took the bag with the cups of soup out of his bag because he never thought to stand the cups up all the soup was in the bottom of the plastic bag! I sent him away with them! Hungry

Less later to arrive & again Saltfish was on point - sadly no ackee option , saltfish fritter was not too bad.

YSaltfish & Ackee was on point as were dumplings , macaroni cheese was nice , sadly the oxtail was edible but lacking. Plsntain was a decent portion and fresh.

Customer expectation was demonstrated poorly. Very rude and unprofessional, I never felt welcome. Despite the fact from what I ordered, the wings were tasty, however, the plantains were rock hard. I hope my experience doesn't concur with others.

Favourite Caribbean place in the area some of the best curry mutton and jerk I've had in ages. Hidden gem in Stratford!

Really lovely food and we will be ordering from them again. We ordered oxtail, curry goat and curry mutton all with rice. Only criticism is that their large portion is like a regular/normal. If I'm paying extra for large then I expect that.

A decent amount of food that was very tasty. The only negative is that I would have wanted much more gravy on the lamb chops.

The food was nothing but straight grease. It was full of oil/fat to the point where you can taste it with every bite. The Mac and cheese was basically Mac with oil and no cheese. With that being said you get the bare minimum of the shambles. For context: what we ordered - Mac and cheese Lamb chops Chicken stew Curry goat Only go there if you want cholesterol and clogged arteries.

baded on ladt visit. girls at front are lovley and polite. cooks how ever are rude. i metionedxabout oxtail tough and the liquid was oil no gravy, i was told to go home and cook my own oxtail andvthat it will save me alot of money. i mean really, ime suprised its still standing plus god knows how they are handeling the food. i will take cooks advice and dont go back.

No es el más glamuroso de los lugares con seguridad, sin embargo, la auténtica cocina del Caribe es morir por! Tomé el guiso de cola de buey, arroz y guisantes y una albóndiga Callaloo. ¡Fue enorme! No necesitaba comer de nuevo hasta el mediodía del día siguiente. Mi amigo (que había estado antes también me estaba presentando) tenía el pollo patán y un albóndigas. Mi amiga ha criado a su hija con herencia caribeña, por lo que conoce su comida, y ella califica Calabash muy alto! También es de gran valor. Emocionado de visitar aquí más en el invierno!

Food is usually Great. However today I specifically asked for breast or thigh in my large chicken curry. But unfortunately I received 3 legs & one thigh no veg. Also the coleslaw was not fresh it had chemical taste and smell which is unlike Calabash

Placed order for 3:30 delivery, which was continually pushed back until 5:15 after which I received a message saying order had been delivered. I DID NOT RECEIVE ORDER. I ended up having to pick it up myself. The restaurant staff said the food was ready to be picked up but delivery driver didnt turn up. Food was lovely. Absolutely abysmal service from Just Eat.

Great portions, brilliant flavour, we had the stew chicken and curry mutton, plantain and coleslaw. All really good, strong 8/10. We’d heard good things from a few people in the area so will definitely be going back!

Calabash is a place where art meets culture. If the regulars and the staff are the jewellery of the crown the food is the biggest diamond. Highly recommend the trip.

really quick delivery & decent portion size. definitely agree that there wasn't a huge amount of meat on bone for £10, was mostly rice & pea, but overall still decent. curry goat was fab but the patties are the best

First time ordering. I got the large curry goat with rice & peas and let me say not only did it arrive on time, but this is the largest large portion of curry goat I've ever received as a takeaway. It was delicious too. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

Absolutely disgusting. I don't know what part of the Caribbean the chef is from but he/she needs to stop doing what they are doing. The food was awful. Mac n cheese was pasta and two square slabs on top.. The stew chicken was basically browning and salt.. Will never recommend or order again

The saltfish fritter was excessively greasy and seemed to have been fried again. Unfortunately, it was inedible. The dumplings were a bit dry but acceptable. The ackee and saltfish itself were satisfactory.

Personally I wouldn’t go back to this calabash. I ordered 3 cornmeal porridge that taste bitter., in all honest it taste off. The quantity of the food has gone down hill. I then called up to let them know as I want my money back and they had the audacity to hang up the phone on me. Please people stop wasting your money on bad food and worse customer service.

Food is amazing and portions are nice and big

This did not taste anything like Oxtail. It was tasteless and very disappointing. Lots of fatty pieces too. I wouldn't have minded paying £10 for it, if it had been tasty but it wasn't so not value for money either. The pattie was rock hard and dried out. I could only eat the middle and threw the rest away. Overall a waste of money....have you changed the cook?

had food from here before must of got a new chef all I got was saltmeat and 3 1/2 rice and 1/2 meat too tooo salty no flavor

I ordered 2 large soup and one of the soup top was smashed and all the soup spilt in the carrier bag….. Instead of one soup each, we had to share one between us. Don’t know if the driver was responsible or the way the shopped packed the food. Reported this to Just Eat and have received a refund.

Delicious authentic Caribbean food. They were also nice enough to give me complementary Salt Fish fritters which I appreciate. 1st time ordering food with this restaurant but will not be the last. Thank you :)

I order small jerk chicken with rice and peas with a soursop punch. I like my food dry with a little bit of gravy but forgot to mention it to the young lady that serve me. I will pop in again at some point. Apologies for the picture quality but eating in the vehicle and light is a little bit poor. I didn't stop at calabash!

soup was banging and hot today

I bought a beef and cheese patty with no cheese inside, the pastry is nice but the filling needs to be improved the texture of the beef was mushy like it was blended and it doesn’t have a lot of flavour.

would've been four stars but ... Mac n cheese = horrible please never use mozzarella cheese in a Caribbean Mac n cheese it tasted so strangeee n disgusting I couldn't finish it. Food needed to be reheated which was annoying cause I've ordered from other Caribbean shops and my food comes hot. I ordered at 6pm so food should be fresh and hot rice n peas n stew chicken, roti and plantain was nice

There is no delivery charge. I would like to give a tip. There is presently no facility at present when I pay by card. I do not always have have cash.

These place has been here donkeys years and most of my times the staff have been nice. Food is good 👍
