Attitude of some of the staff is terrible. I asked for extra gravy on my roti which I would have paid for. I didn't get it, I went back to the counter and the girl dripped a bit on top and gave me a filthy look. The coleslaw was 2 spoons. The curry goat was Full of gristle. The staff definitely didn't look like they wanted to be there, surely service with a smile is a must. Probably the reason I didn't enjoy my meal. I have been to Walthamstow many times and always get my extra gravy in a lovely little bowl, the coleslaw is a actual portion. The staff are polite and respectful.

Food was delicious! Had jerk chicken, rice and peas and plantain. The plantain was so good!! Was quick service and served within a few minutes. Good portion and very filling. Reasonable price based on surrounding restaurants.

Really good service, the manager greated me and took my order with enthusiasm. The food was great too. My cousin kept stealing them off my plate even though she had her own chips. I had the jackfruit curry with jerk chips. No complaints

Heartbreaking for me to write this review. I come to this place all the time. This time I ordered my usual and there wasn't much sauce. Very dry. So I asked for more sauce and the NEW manager interrupted who I was speaking to to say that I need to pay extra for extra sauce. The thing was dry I just wanted some sauce I explained. He said " I've been sent here to sort this place out you need to pay extra for sauce" I said in this case the food is too dry I want a refund. Manager refunded me. For the sake of extra sauce he has wasted food and a bad review. I love this place and staff are always amazing. I will remove this review if you remove this man with the yellow hair and find another way person to help your business. Cutting costs and standards you will loose the loyal customers you have like myself.

Decided to try this place as was passing by. Ordered the curried goat which wasn’t that nice at all! Meat wasn’t nice, the rice and Peas was awful and also the amount of spice was far too much that I couldn’t even eat it, waste of money!. Customer service could have been better as they didn’t seem happy to be there. Was told it wouldn’t take long but waited just over 20 minutes. Won’t be going back there.

For a mall’s food court, this food exceeded all expectations. It was well seasoned, well cooked and it didn’t take too long. What stood out the most were the cod fritters. If I wasn’t so full, I would’ve ordered more. Only this I would note is the staff wasn’t friendly and they served the food as side orders instead of one dish. As I was combining my oxtails to the rise and peas, some of it spilled in my lap. So that was tough to navigate. Otherwise I would recommend this food and I would eat there again.

Staff were decent. The food tasted nothing like Caribbean and was an absolute waste of my money . Just tasted like a bunch of meat seasoned with nothing used to make traditional Caribbean dishes . Will never be returning!

I was reading their menu for ages trying to decide because it sounded so nice ... but what did i get? 3 scrappy pieces of ribs thrown on an empty plate, the rice and peas was so dry it was like sand, sure the coleslaw was fine but thats not very impressive to me. The ribs tasted fine and it was quick service but for 19.70 im still very p1ssed off about it. shocking really!

The food was good! It was nice having a taste of home and not having to cook it myself haha. They have a good amount of vegan options which I was happy about.

I got the ragga stew... which is meant to have yam, plantain, potato, dumplins, red beans, carrot. Before ordering asked if it was actually a stew or soup like, was told its a stew it's thick. So got a side of rice and peas and coleslaw. When I got it, it was basically a SOUP, it was very liquid and also had the little soup noodles that you get in the jamaican soup mixes from the supermarket! It had no plantain, no yam and they used those skin on salad/new baby potatoes. (Which I have never seen used in Caribbean cooking unless maybe in potato salad) The food smelt horrid with the concoction of crappy package seasonings. The rice and peas was tasteless and the coleslaw was clearly supermarket level and not made in house. I honestly think it is an insult to Jamaican food. After complaining it was basically a soup, I was told it was not, and that nobody else has complained before, and that they can make some plantain to add to it, they added some plantain and reheated it. In the end i ate the plantain from it and could not stand the smell of it so i went and got food from a different seller.

Food was let down by the rude asian man serving. No customer service skills at all.

Dinner before the West Ham game, absolutely phenomenal Goat Curry with rice/peas and jerk chips - cooked with perfect level of spice! Will definitely be back!

I ordered 4 items online, as a new customer, but only 2 arrived. I claimed a refund through Deliveroo. I tried to call the restaurant, they didn't answer the phone. I messaged them but have received no reply as yet. The Curry Goat was very nice, if a little fatty. The plantain was OK. I'll post again if I there are any developments.

It was a last minute decision to have Friday night dinner of Rhythm kitchen and it was one we would’ve regretted had the food not been amazing. Service was slow as we waited almost an hour for a fish and spicy oxtail meal. We had to keep checking if the buzzer we were given wasn’t working as we didn’t expect the salmon meal to be what was causing the delay. The attendant was very sympathetic and offered us complimentary drinks while we waited. The food was delicious and the coleslaw was creamy. I loved the food so I cannot fault it other than the slow service. Some notice would’ve gone a long way too.

Loved the jerk chicken! Something hot and spicy for this cold weather definitely made my day ♥️ and the manager was really helpful as I wasn’t really sure how it works :) my first time at Rhythm Kitchen but not my last!!

Had the Vegan Rasta stew, I ordered it as it was supposed to have Yam, dumplings, along with other veggies in there, however my serving only had potatoes and kidney beans in it without any of the other listed ingredients on their menu- aside from none of the other veggies in my meal, the stew was tasteless, beyond blanned, no spice, no flavour whatsoever. Plantain was OK, and their rice and peas was average.

Love food from this place the curry goat always on point for flavour!! I always get the same as I enjoy it so much. Curry goat, rice and peas, jerk chips with jerk sauce for dipping 😋 delicious! Fruit punch could be improved is my only criticism.

Guy at the till was quite rude and abrupt. Served me stale chips and refused to give me ketchup. Definitely gone down hill.

Generally a good stop off for food while shopping and it’s nice to have something different from your usual Asian spots and fast food outlets, HOWEVER, after spending almost £50 on food the last thing I expect to find when I took my recent takeaway order home (to South London - might I add), is a hair deep within my steamed cabbage container. I’d like the Team to reach out to me regarding this as I was quite taken back and had to discard of the food.

Very impressed with what I ordered today- curry goat excellent (melt in your mouth, full of flavour- recommended by the young lady that served me), with rice & peas and fried plantain (melty, cooked to absolute perfection). Atmosphere can only go so far in a food court but service was great, portion sizes huge as I’ve got an appetite & was full having finished off every last bit! Rum punch delicious too, thanks guys I’ll definitely be back!

The jerk chicken ting was peng yanaaah, the gravy set it off... a lot of flavor, good portion size and they have a really good selection of sauces for the spicer palette. Big up the manager, think his name is Xav for serving us... seems like he has a big personality! Tom

I had some very tasty pork ribs in a delicious bbq sauce. As a side, I chose chips(boring ones) and plantain(tasteless and kind of faded).

First time visiting here and I was thoroughly impressed with the food. Curry goat, plantain and rice were all delicious. The curry goat was reminiscent of some home cooked meals I've had. Portion sizes were very good and well worth the money. Highly recommended!

The food was absolutely delicious and cooked within expected time. The staff were polite, had a good knowledge of their establishment and took the time to answer my questions. I didn't like the atmosphere too much but that was no fault to Rythmn kitchen.

Tried for the first time, chicken curry was very spicy & very salty flavour was not put together well, (need boneless chicken can’t deal with the bones) rice & peas Zero flavour very annoying. Jerk chicken roti was lovely. We visit again ti try all on the menu to improve my rating 😊

I’ve been enjoying Caribbean meals from Rhythm Kitchen ever since the Westfield Mall outlet opened in 2012. Consistently great food at a fair price. The whole chicken with 4 sides is particularly good value.

Curry chicken was spicy, but I was managing until I ate a scotch bonnet. This was so painful, I was tearful. Luckily I had a milkshake with my meal from Thunderbird to help. This experience was very scary and I hope to never experience it again. I am only posting this bad review to bring awareness. I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience this

They didn’t care to leave us waiting for 25 minutes because they have a big delivery to attend. When I asked about my order they just reply that they where very busy. If they can’t serve the public because the demand of deliveries they should say so, then we won’t waste our time, specially when we were desperate to eat after a long day out.

The food is amazing! I had the goat curry. Very tasty, perfect mix of spices. As for the drinks (punches and juices) unless you want diabetes, do not bother. I had the run punch which tasted like candy floss. Five stars for the food thou!

I went to the Bank of England Museum today to see the Pardner Hand exhibition. It’s a very interesting but very small display, no longer than 2 feet width in display boxes. There’s a link attached to the pictures where you can scan the barcode and get a guide on the exhibition and see some videos about the experiences of some of the Caribbean elders who lived through it. That was a good idea so I can listen to that and probably share it. Personally I think it should have been at the V&A and on a much bigger scale. Not sure the reasons why this wasn’t planned for. Maybe there wasn’t enough material (I doubt that), maybe it would have taken a lot longer to collect it. It would have been worth another year or two waiting to see it get the recognition, and attention it so greatly deserves. To drown my sorrows I wanted hard/soul food, I popped into Westfield and found this little gem. I haven’t been there for a few years and never ate there when I was frequenting Westfield. The service was lovely and the food hit the spot perfectly. I had Mac and cheese and it was perfect. I closed my eyes and felt my mother moving around the kitchen, creating an array of wonderful dishes but my favourite was Mac and Cheese. GO AND TRY IT IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Food is always nice but service can be slow. I had salt fish fritters which was a fritter with a hint of fish. Couldn't taste any salt fish which was disappointing.The Sorrel is delicious.

Poor customer service and bad experience tonight. I've ordered take away via the 2good2go app, for which they've signed up, same as I've done in the past. When going to collect, I asked the staff that was expediting food if I need to queue and so I did at her advice. Didn't understand why since is already paid for, but I did anyway. after 10 minutes when I reached the counter, the lady there told me I need to wait another 15 minutes. I replied that I can not ( because my train was leaving) at which point one of the chefs came to the front and said if I can't then I should just cancel. I asked how but at that point nobody heard me anymore and they couldn't care less. So I left with the food paid for but no food and hungry. If you've singed up for the program, then honour it. If you're collection hours are 9.30 - 9.45.. then is not 10pm when you're closing. Otherwise change it to 10. I didn't necessarily mind the fact that the food wasn't ready because I've seen they were a bit busy, but lack of communication and not a single f** given was what bothered me. A simple " we're really sorry but we're busy and is not ready, you have to wait 25 minutes or you can cancel through the app" would have been enough. Instead I waited 10 minutes in a order queue for something already paid for to be told to wait 15 more. You should train your staff the value of good customer service.

Bland food and tiny portions with undercooked food like plantain. I never had such horrid undercooked plantain in my life. It felt like no care was given in the preparation of food. The goat curry was bland tasted like they didn't add any spice of salt. so underwhelming a true disgrace to the culture.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad lunch here. The food is ALWAYS on point and the portions are pretty generous. The bowls look small, but trust me, tip them on to your plate and you’ll see there is definitely more than enough! £21ish for braised oxtail, rice and peas, coleslaw, roti and a regular sized sorrel drink (which hits you with the ginger- absolutely not a complaint). The seating area is busy, but is Westfield, so what are you gunna do? Can still find room to sit down though, and if you sit close enough to the front of Rhythm Kitchen you get good music gently playing while you eat. You should absolutely eat here if you get the chance.

Curry goat was okay but the jerk pork had very little jerk seasoning, was edible though. My main issue was the rude manager, I politely spoke to the customer agent for pouring a drink nack into the large container. Then he interrupted and quizzed us. I explained food hygiene and he was arrogant. Won't attend this stall again.

Food was quite bland for west Indian food they need to stop catering for white people. If they don't like spicy food then go elsewhere.

I’ve been coming to this place for a treat for years. In the past I have had no issue. This time for the first time I was hugely disappointed. Was looking forward to this for weeks. Made the trip to it and it was no where near the standard they have produced before. I had the curry goat wrap. It was dry, the meat slightly tough and there was no moisture in the wrap. The rice didn’t have any moisture to it it was dry as well. It spoiled the overall experience. Chris. Ex Hospitality chef.

How is the Westfield joint an absolute toilet when E17 is banging? If the jerk salmon isn’t ready, tell people! Don’t have them hanging on for an hour with the “it’ll be 5 more minutes” chat.

We ordered carribean Jerk chicken with vegetables and some drinks. I admit that the food was nice and the service was ok, but (even though they were not busy) they refused to give us the tap water and sent us to fill it up further where the tap water dispenser is. That was far and we could not do it with trays of food. Asking for tap water should be standard practice. When you visit to that place make sure that you ask for a tap water so that they start realising that it is normal to give tab water to people and not a privilege!

Did not enjoy the jerk pork as it was super salty and pork belly was extremely dry. Amount of chips for side was very less. Would not recommend here as I love jerk chicken/pork and have had a lot better before elsewhere.

Terrible food and service. Brought my son for dinner on Tuesday. Bad service from a Push face young girl at the till. My sea bream tasted like African pepper soup! My sons jerk wings were not cooked properly. I now have him home with food posioning Been calling but they don't answer their phone so I'm reporting them to food standards.

Loved the flavours of the wrap but the roti was hard for me . Lady cashier need to smile a bit but the guy with blue hair who put the food in tray really impressed me, he take care the presentation of the food on the tray that is looking very nice and everything in order side plates in order same direction . The food was bland, we had jerk chicken and oxtail. The oxtail had bare bones and little meat.. The jerk was white looking with no flavour. Im so disappointed my bill was over £30 i could off bought the ingredients and cooked it myself for cheaper and better

Had the curry goat today and it was great. Had a little heat and a lot of spices to the flavour. Meat was soft and tender and lots of it too. Got recommended the fruit punch and that was really really good. Felt like it had a little ginger in it. Would come again

Found a bone in my jerk chicken roti wrap Could of choked if i wasn’t careful Love this place but please double check your workers chef.

Came here during a visit to London and we were staying around the corner...I was really feeling Caribbean...however, the wrap was falling apart and majority fell out, I had to pick bones out of it and there wasn't alot of heat or flavour bursting through, even though I've experienced the same style of wrap at food conventions previously. Service wise I was assumed I'd want mind before I asked for heat to be added, whereas others around me weren't asked this question...me personally, I wouldn't eat here again. There are better establishments around in the mall.

I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices and the great value of the set menu for 2. The mixed BBQ was definitely recommended - the portion size was large and definitely worth the price. The meat was cooked to perfection and had a great flavor. Overall, a great dining experience in the shopping mall

I came here with my family today as we no longer live in London, just a treat for my nan. The staff is very friendly and polite and the customer service is on point. I spoke to Angela and she was welcoming and she made the experience better. The food is amazing, tasty, and delicious. I recommend Rythmn Kitchen to have your lunch or dinner.

First Caribbean restaurant I’ve ever eaten at that doesn’t include chick peas in a curry goat roti. Asked for it on a side and they said that’s not possible. It’s only available with the veggie roti option. Complete joke…

Food was great that's all I got to say

So far I've tried steamed sea bream (fish of the day), jerk salmon, steamed vegetables, coleslaw, fried plantains and dumplings. They were surprisingly good! A bit pricey but is really worth it. Good and friendly service. This is now my favourite place to eat at Westfield Stratford. Note: Steamed or fried fish takes 15 - 20 minutes to be served. Edit: Customer service seems hit or miss. Sometimes very good, sometimes not so good.

Dined here for dinner with family. I ordered jerk pork meal. Needless to say the pork was warm and not hot in temperature and l dont mean the seasoning. Returned to the restaurant explaining that the meat was warm. Only for them to remove said meat heat on cooking device and return. Needless to say l was very disappointed 😞. We also had jerk chicken by itself as a meal without rice and peas as my nephew doesn't like it only for this to be swimming in gravy. I find that very strange. Will not be eating from here again.

So today I decided to order food for my husband and I. We decided on Oxtail, plain rice, steamed veg and curry goat, rice and peas and salt fish fritters. Normally I have only eaten in the Walthamstow restaurant and found the food to be really satisfying and delicious, food made with depth. Unfortunately the same can not be said for the delivery we placed with the Stratford store. I can only describe it as a graveyard in a plastic container. There was hardly any meat on the bones that were small and pitiful. I would not bother in future, this has severely put me off. Thanks for nothing Stratford Rythm Kitchen, times are really hard and a treat in the week is something that is generally not required but you’ve taken my hard earned money and given me a really horrible experience.
