Las Iguanas - Stratford in Newham

Has a nice meal here while visiting for the Abba show. It is a large open front restaurant but had lots of space. The Jambalaya was very good with plenty of spice, perfect for my taste. The cocktails were all 2 for the price of one all day every day, again perfect for me 😋

Amazing spot for some authentic Mexican food. Their Lunch deal is a good one. Excellent service by Emil. Will be definitely coming back

Came here for bottomless tapas. It was senseless, our waitress was phenomenal and listened to all of our needs. Really terrific experience and I'll definitely be coming again in the next few weeks. 10 out of 10 !!!

Antonia was our server while we went out to eat dinner. She is such a lovely person who helped us with choosing our meal via her recommendations we enjoyed our meal and would definitely visit again soon.

We ordered two cocktails and olives at the table using the QR code. After reminding us twice and reminding us for 30 minutes, we got our cocktails. Our olives were still missing. I had to remind them again and after 40 minutes we got the olives. That's absolutely not acceptable. We were also stupid enough to pay a service charge. This can be opted out, as a little tip. The cocktails were at least quite tasty but we won't be coming back!

Booked a table, a week in advance, it took a while to get seated, half the menu was missing all the most popular dishes, we decided to leave and go elsewhere.

Overall very unhappy with the whole service. First the waitress who served us to give a table had a very poor attitude behaviour and was very unhelpful. She gave us a table which had a really tight seating area though she saw I had a pushchair with two kids. Therefore when the food arrived there was not enough room on the table to spread the food. The worst bit of this place was the food that we ordered was all very cold and we did not enjoy it at all. So what we paid for was costly and the quality of the service provided was very poor 👎 not worth it at all! Would not visit this place again!!

Had the buffet here. Great experience. Totally surpassed my expectations. A big thumb for Kushi who gave us very warm and efficient service. The food is also very good, especially the prawn! The dessert is abit oily though. Overall very good quality and great value for the price.

Service from Kushi was amazing, she gave us friendly and efficient service. Definitely recommend the buffet (there is discount going on for £15pp), we had many rounds. Defo highly recommend the Gambas prawns. The churros can be missed (was oily)

We were served by Antonia from the Stratford Westfield branch. She was so welcoming and amazing, lovely service and super friendly! She went above and beyond!!! Superstar treatment for my birthday, the cocktail making experience was amazing too. Will definitely come here again, hopefully will be served by Antonia she has set the bar high 😁

The food was super bland. The burrito bowl had no flavour whatsoever, and there was so little rice in the dish. I was only able to eat it after adding loads of hot sauce. Also, the taste of Brazil dish was really bad. No seasoning in the potatoes, tiny amount of rice, and nothing Brazilian about that dish. The only good thing about the whole meal were the plantains . Very disappointing experience.

Ola is a wonderful hostess, attentive and made sure we had everything we need!

The moment we arrived for our booking, we were rushed to order because we had only 1.5h to benefit from the offer. The dinner was a meet up with a good friend and and the polish waiter made us feel uncomfortable and when the drinks arrived one of them was really off and different in tasting than the other (buy two, pay one). And when we mentioned that to our waiter, she started arguing with us that the drink is really strong and she can drink a log because she’s Polish 🧐 after a while she offered to give us ‘’some’’ Free drinks but we had enough. At the end she added all the drinks on the bill and when I asked her if she can take the drinks that were not good off the bill she start rolling her eyes and left very unexpectedly. Fortunately, her manager came around and apologised for the inconvenience and rectified the bill with a good customer service attitude. The main idea with this tipe of restaurants is that hey sell the food just to cover their cost and make money off the drinks which are ridiculously expensive - more expensive than in central of London.

Our server Carmen was outstanding, the service was very fast and she was very attentive and kind. The food was really nice, and fresh and the atmosphere was very calm. Carmen ensured we were happy throughout our meal and she gave good suggestions. We'll definitely be back soon!

This is appalling. I paid for a 90 minute “buffet”. And I received FLIP ALL. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE WHEN I AM BEING TREATED LIKE AN OUTCAST. PURE RACISIM. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO RACIALLY PROFILED. I also reported to HR and I will never ever ever ever be coming back to a las iguanas.

Food quite nice, however service is terrible. Ordered food and drinks at the same time but the drinks came after the food was eaten and cleared away. Nobody came to check on our table or take our second round of orders after waiting for 30 minutes. Would not recommend eating here again.

Amazing service by Kushi! Great experience for the price and quality

Came here for unlimited tapas. Very bad and slow service. Finished first round of tapas before drinks were even served and the coke came flat. After clearing our plates we were left for 30 minutes with no communication or check in from waitress. wasn't able to order another round. Looks like only 2 waitresses working and its very busy. Had to call to speak to the manager. and explain situation and ask to leave. Was charged for the drinks then left. Wont be returning.

We came for the 15pp bottomless tapas. Never been here before but we love Mexican food. We had a fantastic time, dishes came out in good time and staff were really friendly. The food was also so delicious. We had 2hrs for the tapas but we were so so stuffed in half that time so you definitely get good time for it. There was a few things unavailable which was a shame but we tried everything else.

Visited today with my sister, may I just say Andre was the best he was so funny and always attentive towards us. Great food and drinks but he was a great wonderful person with a great personality thank you Andre for the experience

Disappointed the bottomless tapas.

Tried the bottomless tapas and was very disappointed. Having booked in advance, we arrived to be told that half the menu was out of stock, unfortunately the food that was in stock was not great. Probably the worst potatas bravas possible, fries in some soup. The rest felt like they scrapped together what was left over. Maybe the food is normally good but I will never find out. Next time email/call bookings beforehand if everything is sold out and close. Even with the offer we felt like we overpaid. We weren't the only ones complaining and feeling disappointed at the time.

Had an amazing time at bottomless brunch, the food was delicious and a really affordable price. Our server Kushi was lovely and made the experience super enjoyable with how attentive she was. Tempted to come back tomorrow :)

Great service from all the staff there. Really friendly and went the extra mile (getting extra seats for us whilst waiting). Our waitress Ola was fab, really attentive and friendly. The only thing I would say is that the refried beans were questionable!

Monica was such a lovely woman, she greeted us with a smile and helped us with the menu. We were served quickly and the food was fantastic. I definitely recommend coming here!

My friends and I came for dinner and had the tapas medley, plus desserts. Loved the vibe of the place, and Andre (manager) was super amazing! We were given time and explanations on what each item was, food was brought out quick, we ate more than we should have, and enjoyed our experience! Thanks again to Andre, he was the best!

I love Las Iguanas, their unique selling point of two for one happy hour all hours of the day is genius. I've notice thought recently you have brought up your prices, fair enough your a bossiness you need to make money. My birthday was two weeks ago tomorrow and I remember a few years ago I came on my birthday an got offered a Caipirinha but I didn't take it as the time I was young like eighteen and didn't have an adventures pallet however now it has matured a few days before my birthday I asked at the bar if on your birthday you can still get a free Caipirinha the bartenders says yes just bring ID makes sense fair enough. I come here on my birthday now just for the bar "manager" Andre to give a rude remark regarding my refused for the free birthday drink, yet online it says on your birthday your that you can get a Caipirinha on the house. He didn't have to be rude to me on my birthday and it is a thing Las Iguanas does do, had I had known I would have gone online and shown Andrie he also should know what the polices are before opening is mouth, I made my way to the O2 las Iguanas and they too denied me, please retrain all your staff.

Carmen, the best waiter, promote her that’s it. She was very helpful with the orders and menu, honestly most people serving show some sort of attitude but Carlen literally showed patient and understanding, PROMOTE HER!!!, manager president owner I don’t care she needs to be higher from what she is right now, she’s fantastic

Zsanett was amazing. The system had allowed us to book our table for 1hr before the restaurant opened. With 2 children this was devastating to our plans but she spoke with the kitchen and was able to get us seated and served. Above and beyond, excellent service

I came here with my husband and boys to celebrate my birthday, Carmen and Kushi served us and they were both really helpful and patient with us. I enjoyed the food, bottomless cocktails and atmosphere. My husband and son had a problem with their food and there was no issue with changing their order. For desert I was given free brownie ice cream for my birthday 😊 I will be back again with my friends, I’ve been to a lot of restaurants and I would say this is one restaurant where I felt relaxed and the staff was great and welcoming.

Very bad service, waited 15 minutes to order and the mojitos were full with ice, and not tasty, not specified with alcohol or without but we had to order one without and it was a lot of difference in fact it tasked like iced water, the corona beers as well had a very strange taste! very BAD COMMUNICATION FROM STAFF AND A VERY RUDE ATTITUDE OVERALL!!!

Been to las iguanas many times, never had an issue before however i went for New Year Eve celebrations on the 31st. Restraunts wasn't busy, only had one section opened. Took well over 40 minutes to get our first drinks. We then moved to the bar section as we thought this be quicker and again, bar was mostly empty. At the bar, the Bartender was making a cocktail for another customer and when he saw me he turned around and said "Not gonna lie, this is the last cocktail I'm making, I will only be serving beers and shots after this" it was only 08:20pm.. won't be returning unfortunately. I found the staff to be so rude and it was new year eve!!! What a waste of time.

Terrible service right from the start. If i could rate this 0 stars I would. Waited 20 minutes to order for brunch before a waiter begrudgingly took our order after walking past us twice to serve tables will full plates of food and drink. They gave us the wrong menu also. 4/5 of the table wanted to do bottomless brunch, as one was underage (17). Waiter mid taking our order (we had ordered 4 drinks by then), got their manager to confirm if this was allowed. Manager came and started making up excuses saying people have been sneaking drinks to others on the table and it’s company policy everyone have alcohol. We assured them this would not happen but he refused to believe us. He stated the 17 year old would have to sit on a table by himself if we wanted bottomless but we are all siblings??? He also stated if we wanted brunch everyone on the table had to have an alcohol-free version. Checked on the las iguanas website and it shows this is in fact false and you can choose an alcohol free option at a reduced price if one of the party members does not want alcohol. Dare I say this was racism, as this treatment did not happen with any of the other (white) people at the restaurant. We left the restaurant without ordering anything, as the manager was very uncooperative to us. Terrible place and will NOT be coming back.

What a wonderful experience! The service was truly exceptional, thanks to Zsanett, who made the experience unforgettable. She went above and beyond by recommending some excellent dishes that turned out to be spot-on. The atmosphere was pleasant, while the food and ambiance were fantastic, it was really the service that stood out for me. Zsanett’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made all the difference. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Kudos to the team for doing such a great job, especially Zsanett she’s a true asset to the restaurant! I’ll definitely be coming back.

My experience at las iguana Stratford Westfield has totally traumatised me. 😭I was verbally attacked by one of the staff members who started yelling at me and calling me the b word repeatedly in front of all other customers and later resulted to kick me on my leg and ranching to fight me. The restaurant was merely empty only around 5 people the space is huge by way, and we asked to be sat on a much bigger table because we had shopping and no one was sat around and he wouldn’t allow it in a rude way and wanted to put me and my friend on a dirty small table then started yelling very stressed Me and my friend have always been going to this branch we love the drinks and food and happy hour. But we experienced slow service in past but nothing like what I experienced last week in this branch by one of the staff. I went to report this to the manager about the incident and he wasn’t caring or paying attention to my concerns nor understanding what happened he wouldn’t give the name of the staff who attacked me nor his own name. He later went to the back room and started laughing and joking about me to other members of staff there it’s was so unprofessional what he did. A few days went me and my friend went past Ia iguana to see that the same staff member is still working there!!! Is this how they treat all customers? I feel so hard done by and not taken care of as a customer worse experience in a restaurant I have ever had. 😞 0 stars fast forward I reported this incident with head office by email I even tried to contact them on phone no one answered and they didn’t acknowledge what had happened to me that day and nothing was done about this! I have attached video and photos of the day it happened that staff was very rude and abusive towards two females wanting to enjoy a meal and drinks we never did. I wish the team took this matter abit seriously and staffing because this isn’t ok and evidence is there. Sad for this company 😔😞

We booked in for the bottomless brunch and Carmen was our server. She was very friendly, attentive and gave good advice about drinks order. Food service was quick and the brunch options were good - including for veggies. Food came quickly, was hot and tasty. Carmen offered to take photos of our group which was lovely. She made us feel very welcome and special (as we were celebrating a friend's 50th birthday). We all had a great experience.

My husband and I went in las iguanas in Westfield Stratford for lunch on Sunday. The place is very big but only the main space was open. It was pretty much empty. The guy with attitude barely welcomed us. He brought us to a very small table and we gently asked if it was possible to have another table in the corner cause we were full of bags after shopping and it was literally no space. He answered that in a bit they would have been busy so that was the only solution he could give us. Of course, we left. We went to have lunch in another place. And guess what? When we finish our lunch the place was still empty. I think he was just lazy and annoyed. We will never go back there.

Hmm... I'm sure it was a one off... But we had a less than good experience tonight. Can't fault the food... It was delicious. But the service left a lot to be desired... Took ages for someone to take our order, then when the food came, we had to chase our drinks. After our plates were cleared, we asked for the dessert menu... Which didn't arrive. I ordered dessert via the QR code, and 35 minutes later...I had to chase it! Once I had, it was brought straight to us. Clearly it had been sitting under the hot lamp for some time! Just all felt a bit lacklustre. Sorry!
