Visited here years ago and it was quality! Now it smells like a toilet; the prosecco tastes like vinegar; the seats were wet... Would not risk eatting here, Yuk!

The restaurant is part of the theatre bar. It has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. The food is lovely - I really enjoyed the mutton curry - and the portion sizes are very good.

We went for lunch before the play. Good to see some "hot" jerk on the menu. Food was ok but not outstanding and not that fiery. Customer service left a little to be desired b

Great bar attached to the theatre - food is generally good but can be slow service. Warm, welcoming atmosphere that's fun and relaxed.

Went here on Tuesday night for a bite to eat with my friends and we were so impressed with the atmosphere, the great quality tasty food, at reasonable prices and the excellent polite friendly service from the young man behind the bar and serving food. My friends are still raving about it, thanks so much.

Went here for a team lunch. It was quiet, but still had a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent, very tasty, good range of options, good portion sizes and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning here again. The only improvement needed is that the service for the food was quite slow. It took 40 minutes from time ordered to arrival and it was not busy in the bar at all.

We ordered a take out from this place. By the time we got home we had half of our order. We tried to call to raise the issue but nobody had answered we tried all evening. Eating in is fine but don't bother with their shody take out service. Which isn't a service.

I've been going here for at least 8 years and never had a bad meal so farThe last time I went was for my birthday, there was 5 of us and we were seated very quickly even though it was a Friday night and they were busy.On our table we got 2 x Jerk Chicken and Rice, 1 curry goat and 2 kids meals. The adult meals were huge portions which tasted very good.We also ordered some desserts which were very nice, Apple Crumble and Custard and Banana Cake and Custard.

Been going theatre royal for years but haven't been for a while ?? So we decided to go for a meal I ordered jerk chicken savoury rice and my partner jerk salmon savoury rice !! When Will was doing the food nice chicken breast now just a chicken leg for £9 pounds that's a massive mark up like 85% food was bland not spicy at all. Think they've took there eye off the ball profit before quality shame was my favourite hang out but probably my last time .. Bring back Will quality food and great price chicken rice plantain and salad around £8 pound.. Now just bland and a rip off sorry but one chicken leg that's wrong you can't justify £9 pound .. Rice how much and 2 slivers of plantain !!!

Located minutes away from Stratford station, situated inside the Theatre. A Caribbean restaurant with Lovers Rock on a Saturday night. Mainly for an older crowd. For dinner had the Escovitch fish (fillet of red bream fried and slowed cooked in a mild sauce with pepper and onions) was enjoyable and I left nothing but bones on the plate. Dinner prices start from £7.50 - £9.00 and include dishes from Curry Mutton to Jerk Salmon. Lovely hot evening and outdoor seating was a good option. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Eaten here a couple of times, gradually working our way through the Caribbean menu. The food is incredibly tasty, portion sizes are good and full of flavour. Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food served. Can get busy in the bar during performance intervals, but the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Nice place for a drink even if you're not eating.

The theatre royal bar has excellent food well priced with entertainment most nights. We went on a Monday which was comedy night - not so good, but food made up for it.

The staff are all just wonderful and the design combines the best of Victorian fittings with a huge modern picture window. The star of the menu is the jerk chicken which is the best I have had in London. The jerk salmon is really good too. Plantains and rice are perfect and you will feel very full. The potatoes come with lots of tasty fillings although I always end up having the tuna, which is so delicious and I have wasted time trying to replicate the taste. Note: I must BEG the chef to share it when I next visit. It's an oasis of beauty and tranquility on the edge of a rather brutal shopping centre. Drinks are good and reasonably-priced. I just keep coming back again and again because it's always so wonderful.

A friendly theatre bar that is more like a local pub and with similar prices. Plenty of seating. You can ask for plastic containers if you want to take your drinks into the theatre.

A visit after work is a nice way to relax. the atmosphere is friendly, background music ok, and the Caribbean food recommended. It can get busy if the theatre has an evening show but this just adds to it.

As I work in Stratford I often pop here for a drink. The service at the bar can be hit and miss as staff always change. They sell Caribbean food which is of a good standard.

Expensive bar, but there's nowhere else in the Theatre to drink so you have no choice to buy it, if your thirsty.

Today was my third time I have eaten at the Theatre Royal bar. Each time was before a matinee performance at the theatre. All three occasions have been first class. Firstly the service has been exceptional. The staff are so polite and helpful and make you feel really welcome. The food is predominately Caribbean and is 100% value for money. I have had the jerk chicken burger and the mutton curry, both were excellent meals and value for money. Today we visited with my daughter and her boyfriend, four meals for £25. With Westfield shopping centre so close this little bar out of the way easily competes with the seventy odd eating places that the centre offers.

We went in here a couple of hours before seeing a show in the Theatre. Very reasonably priced food and drink. Free entertainment in there and it's open to everyone not just theatregoers. Gets quite busy but has a lovely atmosphere. Only a few minutes walk from Stratford Station. Nice outdoor seating area also.

We always have dinner here when visitng the theatre Royal. Is authentic caribbean food. You get a plate of Food - Jerk Chicken/Curry Mutton, rice, fried plantain and salad for about £7.50 a head - could be a bit more by the time I return.. You can make it spicier with the hot sauces available. There is a wider menu and its all good. They sell Leffe on tap to go with it.!!There always seems to be free entertainment in the bar - so you don't have to go to see a play for entertainment with your food. Its mainly a solo musician, but sometimes a comedy act.Get there at least an hour before the show as you can't book and have to get a seat at a table - Ask the staff when ordering is you have enough time just in case.

Group of 12 friends and we were looked after very well. The food was delicious as everyone enjoyed the huge mixed platters that were ordered. We also tried the oxtail and curry goat. Prices are very reasonable compared to a lot of places for same or similar food. Definitely a place to try out and I will revisit with my family.

Another disappointing meal at the e20 lounge at The Stratford hotel. I had the lobster and crayfish roll which was really a poor quality meal. The roll tasted cheap, I was expecting a nice slathering of the tarragon mayonnaise but it hardly had any mayonnaise. The roll was charred rather than toasted and the smell of burnt bread overwhelmed the whole thing. It cost £19 which was exorbitant and I could have had something similar and far better and a third of the price at the local Pret. On the upside I went to the oyster happy hour last Wednesday and it was good and today my fellow diner enjoyed his club sandwich. So the lounge e20 is still very hit and miss unfortunately.

Felt like I was at the food court at the airport. The restaurant is situated in the food mall so you can sit amongst diners from different providers. Staff were wonderful however I felt the food wasn't authentic with the rice being rather dry

Customer expectation was demonstrated poorly. Very rude and unprofessional, I never felt welcome. Despite the fact from what I ordered, the wings were tasty, however, the plantains were rock hard. I hope my experience doesn't concur with others.
