The best restaurants serving African food in England

First time to visit Corarima was simply blow away with the service and food. A warm welcome awaits those who eat here with a very varied food selection. We just couldn’t decide so went with the sharing platter so a bit of everything and it didn’t disappoint. Taste explosion after taste explosion is the experience here and it will not disappoint. 10/10/10 for me. Service/food/value for money/ atmosphere we will be back

We travelled to Cambridge and my young son was extremely keen to try Africfood given the reviews. What a terrible experience. For £7.50 you get one piece of goat ' meat' ( bone surrounded by a minuscule amount of meat) with a lot of rice. He was extremely disappointed and I was kind of furious. This is really a bit of a scam. In a market with lots of amazing food stalls, why would anyone spend their money here for a ridiculous amount of goat curry.

I absolutely loved this place! It's so colourful and engaging and it has a very wide array of vegan food options. I loved the Africando. The prices are also a great rarity in London in still being actually affordable! I will try and make it back whenever I am next in Brixton.

Qué ambiente etíope tan maravilloso, como estar en Piassa o Arat killo en Addis Abeba. Me sorprendió la calidad de la comida y el servicio muy acogedor. Sin duda volveremos aquí. Fisseha/ ፍስሐ

Excellent food, Hatem the chef is very friendly and goes out of his way to make us feel welcome. He is passionate about his place of origin and it shows in his culinary skills.

Such a good meal! Very well seasoned meat. The fries were so good too. The mac balls were insane! Basically all round super yummy food! We all enjoyed our meals (table of 9) The service was great! Staff attentive & smiley. Highly recommend :)

A fabulous local restaurant/cafe - amazing food, super healthy lunch had by us both of their chickpea curry and my partner the veggie curry. The friendliest of people, fab colourful decorations, great service all round. We will certainly be back soon Thank you

Wonderful delicious food, friendly service. A particular highlight is the Ethiopian coffee ceremony which is not to be missed.

Posiblemente una de las mejores cocinas inspiradas en África Occidental en Londres, disfrutamos de la deliciosa comida, así como quedarnos tranquilamente sorprendidos. Muy recomendable, solo que suya no lo hizo por nosotros todo lo demás fue excepcional

I visited Saucy Flo's with my wife on one of it's steak nights. We both had the Galican fillet and I can honestly say it was the best steak I have ever eaten. The quality of the local produce is amazing and coupled with the reasonable price, it just can't be beaten. It's rare to get such a great standard of food and good portions too. The waiting staff were so friendly and there was a lovely informal atmosphere. But the star of the show was definitely the food! We just about had enough room for puddings and managed to squeeze in a peach and blackberry cobbler and a chocolate brownie and both were delicious. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

We would TOTALLY agree with the One review. A gem of a find. It has been a very long time since we have enjoyed such finger-licking (yes, we had the tiger prawns; exceptional, as were the samosas!) unpretentious, tasty, expertly prepared, top quality food, for a very reasonable price. All freshly prepared, as we waited. Met with a warm welcome, with an abundance of enthusiasm to check we were enjoying our flavoursome Portuguese fayre. Our taste buds had a full workout! Our hosts are rightfully proud of their mama’s culinary skills and the evident love and care she lavishes on her creations. The menu is simple, but powerful. We will definitely be back for more. Esta es la 4ª vez que he visitado. Siempre tengo el plato vegetariano seguido de café. El chef asa los frijoles ella misma mientras comes. Maravillosa variedad de gustos. Bien vale la pena la visita! !
