Wonderful delicious food, friendly service. A particular highlight is the Ethiopian coffee ceremony which is not to be missed.

Loved the food here, things weren't on the menu so the chef came out and recommended a few things. The restaurant is for Ethiopians not really anyone else. That's why it was so brilliant. Authentic

1st time visiting, unsure on what to have as 1st experience of this type of cuisine. Staff very friendly and helpful . Had the share platter as a result of their advice and fully enjoyed it,full of flavour and even though I do t do alot of spice it was very flavoursome with a nice kick of spice . Left there fully satisfied and stuffed which is hard to achieve for myself!

Just had the best meal here and for such a good price. The owners are so lovely and for it being the first time having Ethiopian food I was blown away by how rich and comforting it was. I will definitely be coming back again! Only complaint is that they don’t charge you enough for the amazing food they make!

Absolutamente excelente, deliciosa y auténtica cocina etíope. Hemos comido etíope un par de veces y en términos de sabor y calidad de la comida esto fue lo mejor. Un servicio encantador, sugerencias útiles y resultados increíbles. Carne de res, cordero, pollo y platos vegetarianos eran todos excelentes. Es un restaurante informal con un ambiente familiar etíope encantador, a solo 5 minutos a pie del centro comercial y un placer en comparación con los restaurantes de cadena habituales. Cervezas etíopes también, yo recomendaría la calle George con sus comidas. Simplemente delicioso.

Comida etíope en su mejor momento. Teníamos un plato de compartir para dos con un surtido de guisos de carne y verduras. Delicioso, bellamente especiado y encantador servicio amable también. Iremos una y otra vez (y otra vez) , recomendación más alta para esto por favor si usted está buscando una excelente cocina etíope.

Lovely restaurant. The lady who served us was very helpful and informative. The food was delicious - spicy and well flavoured. We also tried some interesting Ethiopian beers. Extremely good value for a city centre restaurant. If you've never had Ethiopian food before, give it a try.

Fuimos con tres generaciones de nuestra familia, y a todos les encantó. Teníamos un plato para compartir carne de res, que era muy bueno para la cantidad de carne que se obtiene entre los cuatro platos de carne de res. He comido comida etíope antes, pero mi madre se desanimó inicialmente por el hecho de que recogieras la comida con el pan esponjoso tradicional, pero pronto se quedó atrapada. El personal era encantador y servicial, realmente lo pasamos bien. También tomó algunos cafés etíopes después, que eran agradables. En general, una gran experiencia, que lo sugeriría a cualquiera. Si estás en Leicester y no te apetece otra comida india, recomiendo este lugar que está a solo unas puertas de la Highcross

Spotted this place whilst dining at the also excellent Vietnamese restaurant across the street and resolved to give it a try. Dined there today with two vegetarian friends. Received a warm welcome and excellent service. The first thing that created a great impression was the Ethiopian macchiato. Honestly a fantastic coffee. We had two meat dishes and two vegetarian. My friends are not good with spicy food and so asked for theirs chilli-free, which it was. The flavours were excellent and the whole experience was good. I will definitely be back

Fui aquí para almorzar, conseguí Beyaynetu (plato vegano con injera, varios guisos bien saborizados y una pequeña cantidad de ensalada que tenía un aderezo simple pero sabroso). Nos encantó la especia de los platos, pero no pudimos terminar la comida, había mucha comida! Muy buena relación calidad-precio.

The girlies and I were crazing Ethiopian food and this restaurant satisfied all our crazing. The food was soooo good and we were so full by the end of it. Honestly if you haven’t been there yet, run! You need to go. I know I will go back for sure!

An absolutely brilliant Ethiopian restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious sharing platter and a selection of other dishes, and ended with a wonderful authentic coffee ceremony. Our host was patient with us and helped us with the menu. Excellent value also. Highly recommended.

No faults whatsoever, I honestly loved everything about this restaurant. The service was impeccable, it was our first time tasting Ethiopian food and we didn't know what to expect but the lovely lady working there helped us with the food menu and described the dishes very well. The flavours and presentation of the dishes was delicious and filling. We ordered a coffee ceremony as it looked very interesting on the menu and it did not disappoint. We learnt a lot about Ethiopian culture from it. The coffee beans used were strong in flavour and it was accompanied with popcorn! My 5 year old daughter is hard to please and she wasn't keen on the main that we had ordered (perhaps spices were strong for her but we enjoyed it) so we ordered a scrambled egg and tomato with bread and it came out, such a big portion but it was so good. She loved it! Thank you so much for an amazing meal and experience- we will definitely be coming back again!!

I had never tried this type of cuisine before and when I rang to book a table I asked if the lady if staff could help with out order. When we arrived they went above and beyond with service, kindness and hospitality and then to top it off the food was amazing. My younger daughter can be picky and she said it was some of the best food she had ever eaten...a 11/10 if it was possible. Can't wait to go again

Absolutely delicious food. The friendly ladies helped me to choose from the unfamiliar dishes. Everything is freshly cooked and tasted clean and healthy. Real food, home cooked. A joy for the tastebuds. I had a takeaway but will soon try to visit inside the restaurant. Highly recommended.

We had a mixed platter with meat and vegetarian food. Plenty to eat and absolutely delicious. They were very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere could not fault it. Would recommend to anyone. Next time Will have the vegetarian. Easy to get to from the clock tower walk down Church Gate it is on the left.

Great place for proper food lovers. The simple setup deceives the quality of food on offer. It has its own charm and the staff is what makes it. Go there without any preconceived notions or judgements. Anyone who likes to try new things and experiences then this is the go to place for it. Not all of it might be to your taste but for new cuisine experience it'd worth a visit.

Excellent customer service! A very warm, welcoming feel and experience at the restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic. The staff and the manager really care about the food they serve, and the customer experience they provide. We all enjoyed having an excellent conversation too 😊 When I next get the chance I'll be sure to visit to try other items on the menu... absolutely lovely food. Highly recommended for everyone to try this place and support this restaurant! A suggestion for improvement: Although it didn't bother me at all, some customers might prefer chairs rather than stools to have a back rest.

Halal Raw Kitfo either minced or in strips - coffee is best in Leicester (actually, best in UK or outside of Eithipio/Italy) - great atmosphere, wonderful family staff, very reasonable pricing - definitely treat yourself today.

Very nice atmosphere and the staff are very kind and conversational. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and the staff talked me through the different options well. I ate a beef dish called obama which was tasty and the serving size was massive. I was left full up and satisfied. Overall, would recommend 👌

I don't normally leave reviews however I feel compelled as the food was absolutely magnificent 💯💯 I love habesha food, so I was pretty excited when I found out about a new restaurant in Leicester. The food is absolutely amazing. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food⭐️🌟✨️ The chefs takes great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. 👌 Beautiful presentation and spotless. The owners are very friendly and so kind. 💫💫💯 This is my absolute favourite habesha restaurant I recommend to everyone💯💯💯 I would like to come back again and again.
