Popped in for a Chicken Jollof. Very friendly, reasonable price, good portion and beautiful (like really, really tasty) food. I thought I'd never finish it and found myself picking at the odd grains of rice by the end. I will be back!

I ordered Jollof rice and Chicken, it was soo good (one of the best J-rice might I add) it was £10 and the portion was big with 3 pieces of chicken, so delicious. It was bit too oily for my liking but besides that It was amazing. Also it was a delivery it came in 20-30 mins which is quite good considering the fact that the food was fresh and warm. Im definitely ordering again 🫶🏾🫶🏾

Food is meh. Don’t bother with the jollof rice- disgusting and has been for years. I didn’t expect much though because it’s non Nigerian people trying to make Nigerian food. Very overpriced for the quality of the food. The quality does not match the price they’re asking for Wings are very dry but not bad tasting. The beef with the fried rice is nice when it’s not over cooked. The fried rice is expired. They sell fried rice that they cooked days ago. As soon as you open the container you can smell that it’s stale.

They sell expired fried rice. As soon as you open the container the smell is so bad. This is not the first time. They are stingy with the beef portions also. You get very very tiny pieces of beef like when you cut it up to feed a child. Not worth even half of the price they charge. I’m sure these positive reviews are fake because their food quality is terrible. The jollof rice is disgusting also. The chicken wings are nice when they’re not over cooked and bone dry. The 7 up is nice. That’s all

Alino is one of the best restaurant in African society in Leicester City and I do recommend to everyone to go and enjoy African cousins.

Born in Tanzania, since I have been in UK, Alino is best place to get African food, place is clean and staff are too friendly. I feel like, I am in East Africa, food test is a same.

Not nice I make better egusi at home made me have stomach problems in the morning. Use more red bell peppers and tomatoes

I ordered takeaway on 2/12/22. I was served burnt fried rice and fish that wasn’t fresh (I saw it when brought out from the freezer). Total £13- for 1 I’d like for the place to taste food they’ve kept a while if being professional. It’s hard to support small business if things like this occur .

The restaurant themselves are very inconsiderate. Will blast music every weekend despite being in a residential area, with zero consideration for anyone who may have work in the morning! Music so loud you can hear the lyrics and feel the base inside your house a couple of streets away. If you're going to have a full blown party every week, have some compassion for your neighbours and keep your music down a bit. Every weekend we're kept up by this place, last night till gone 3am, but we'll just pretend that I don't have work at 6am this morning.

Food was so dry, ordered fish and plantain, tasted like it just came out of fridge, very dry, no taste and small fish, not worth £17 that they charged. Will be ordering elsewhere next time

Great place with great fried rice and roasted chicken. I enjoyed the reception as well and the music was great. I'm definitely going back to Alino when next I visit Leicester.

The place is a hidden gem The BBQ fish is among the best you can have around Leicester, if not the UK. You can eat in or take out 😘

An unhappy customer. I order Egussi with Assorted meat and was supposed to come with Pounded Yam as my choice of side. I was very disappointed because they only delivered Egussi without Pounded Yam. They have very Poor for customer service. Tried to apologised that net time will send the right order .I demanded to speak to the manager then spoke to the gentleman who introduced himself as the owner. He promised me that he was personally delivering my Pounded Yam and will bring two the extra of inconvenience sake. Few minutes later I was called by a lady who informed me that they were no longer able to bring in because the owner who was supposed to deliver the Pounded Yam was now attending an emegance.Not only did i got refunded by uber eats for the Yam . I wested money on Egussi with nothing to have it with.Poor service and I don’t recomend.

Amazing food. I am angolan and the food does not differ from what we eat back home. I love Maffe (what we call Moamba in Angola) and they do it very well 😍😍… the staff was so friendly and it was amazing that one of them could speak Portuguese which made the communication even better

I have been loyal to this restaurant for the past 3 years , as I often eat there . I am so angry that this restaurant paid me back with a fraud . On the 6/3/2018, at around 4pm . I went there to eat and my bill came up to £10 , which I paid with my debit card . The following day , I noticed the sum of £160 and £10 was taken from my account by this restaurant. Apparently , after at about 23.47pm , the sum of £160 was taken from my card at this restaurant , while I was at work and 8 hours after I have eaten there . I will never go back to this place again to eat . Warning to others , please be very careful when when using your card at this restaurant, or better pay with cash !!

After being loyal customers to this restaurant for 2 years we have recently became victims of fraud from this restaurant. Beware do not use ur card here!!!!! For this reasons we will never return again

This food is good! I had the beef with jellof rice, and some plantain - really nice, and good value as the portions are large. Service was really friendly too.

Came here with my friends we ordered a African Dish it came with Sadza, Peanut butter sauce and Tilapia fish they were all delicious. I ended up taking the sadza home cause it was big for me to eat. The fish was absolutely amazing. Will come here again in the future. The only thing I didn't like was the dj was playing songs through YouTube which was being projected onto a screen.

Made my first visit last night with three friends on recommendation of a local DJ. Excellent food and service by friendly staff. Plenty of choice on menu, and a well stocked bar, with music videos playing all night. Very welcoming atmosphere. Will visit again soon.
