The best restaurants serving Turkish food in England

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great value for money. The service was friendly and attentive. I haven’t seen such a lovely Turkish restaurant in a long time. Thanks to the whole team! we’ll definitely be back. Bonus points for the amazing music!

If you're a shawarma fan and happen to be in York, this is the place to go. I recommend the lamb shawarma, as it has an authentic taste. The food is perfect and the staff is really nice.

I regretted going to the birthday reservation I made today. The person I learned was the kitchen chef did not insult us because of the glitter that spilled while blowing the cake. We ask ANAR restaurant, which I go to with pleasure, to warn such a disrespectful employee.

There's no restaurant here (anymore?), just a food truck next to the tire shop with the same name.

Following a great experience last year with friends, I decided to have my family birthday meal there. Both my kids ASD. We went early and the staff were amazing. No pressure on the kids. We moved tables due to my kids being under the heater ... not a problem. Explained allergies and they made sure we understood everything we could eat. My boys felt so relaxed that they tried new food. We weren't rushed and one of the most positive experiences. The boys have both asked to go back. The music was a good level and the inside looks great.

Truly the best Turkish cuisine restaurant I've ever been to so far! The food we ordered was full of flavour, very tender, perfectly spiced and delicious! The customer service on very high level, you are always being looked after properly. The staff is vey welcoming, friendly and professional. There is an outstanding atmosphere, including all decorations, very welcoming staff and music. Highly recommended!!!

This place has really gone down hill - I have been coming here for over a year, then I discovered I could save potential wasted food at the end of the day with TooGoodToGo from this store. It’s clear they give the cheap croissants and pain au chocolate to TGTG customers and keep the Turkish pastry’s behind the counter for the Turkish customers or staff who are there inside. I last ordered 2 bags, that are meant equate to £10.50 each, and was given 2 croissants… have told everyone about this experience and shared via TGTG team who refunded me. It’s wrong that they are doing this and shouldn’t be allowed to continue.

Need to turn off the online ordering when on holiday. Is have paid for an order online and driven to pick it up only to find they are closed.

Amazing food great service will be back

We went to an early dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday with my little one. The food was okay, not great but sufficient. What really took the cake was my son threw up at the end of our dinner. The manager (I assume) walked by as this was happening, gave us a disgusted look and walked off. Another waitress saw what was happening and did nothing to help. Eventually one of the bar staff offered us some blue kitchen roll to clean up but other than that there was no concern or empathy shown. When I went to pay, I mentioned that I thought it was a little rude that none of the staff offered any assistance or a basic level concern such as “is everything okay?”. I was met with a curt reply, of “well he is your child, he is your responsibility” quickly followed up by “in my two years of working here a child has never thrown up after eating our meals” I was not trying to suggest they were to blame or that they should clean my child up just that that someone could have offered assistance with the clean up or shown a level of basic decency. In any case, we won’t be returning, the food is less than average and the service is absolute pants
