Ordered takeaway, the box in which hummus was packed was dirty. Had black stuff on the lid from inside and outside. Very unhygienic Packaging of all food items came in wrapped paper. Food wasn't any good too

Very authentic Turkish restaurant, they make their own sauce etc. Was very busy during Ramadan I noticed, but you'd expect that in reading!

Open late, good choice of food and high quality food.

Nice kebab shop the food was delicious meat had a good balance of flavours and juicy. The chef knows what is doing very good customer service !

Was very disappointed, as three days in a row the restaurant would not accept any orders. I was not able to get to the shop physically, so it puts me down massively. After trying so many times, there will be no more for me unfortunately.

I ate the chicken shawarma and it was so bad that I got gastroenteritis and my stomach was hurting for 3 -2 days

Staff very rude. Prices are very high compared to others. Only accept cash If you don’t have cash them their behaviour more rude. I’m not recommend anyone. All staff behind the counter are same attitude towards customers. Authority need to take action against who not accepting cards payment. They saving lots of tax and cheating government. I’ll also complain to the council and food authorities for strict action specially cash payments system. This is all my experience. But I respect others customers opinion as well.

Food was .not good and normally it's good but there was this only guy who was rude probably because he was alone but a waste of money only the chips are exceptional

Used to go in here all the time for kebabs, chips and food from the hot hold. Less so recently since they put the prices up (large cheesey chips went from £3.50 to £5.90). Today I ordered cheesey chips with a bit of sauce and salad on top (same way I've had it since 2009) and got told it would be £7.90 because a scoop of sauce and a pinch of onions is apparently £2 extra!! Staff were rude and unhelpful. Food is nice but not worth the price hike and the attitude.

I have visited this shop for the last 10 years and it is always the same good food and nice people around.

Food more expensive and lesser on quantity aswell, so they profiting more with post pandemic excuse.

Ordered a doner kebab, meat wasn’t fresh at all tasted like it had been there for over a month. Chips were nice and fresh though.

Great food but picking up your food without gloves is just poor hygiene.

I recently gave the 🌯 Lamb Kebab wrap and 🍖 Lamb Doner Kebab a go, and while the quantity was alright, the quality of the lamb was a bit fatty and could have been better. Moreover, the packaging for the wrap was a bit naff, as the silver paper got wet and the silver color came off on my hands. The sauces were decent, though. All in all, I'd recommend everyone to give this Turkish grub a try because of the great 😌 atmosphere, the friendly and attentive 😊 staff, and the good food, although it could be improved. 🍴👍

I order with them online and they were still open at 23.50 and they took money out my bank for my order and then I didn't received a email like i usal do so I ring them up asking if my order went thought then they said sorry we are close and it was 0:00 and it closes at 0:30 like it say on they web site and they said I can't get refund for my food. Horrible customer service online and what a joke I couldn't get a refund and they took they money too.

Decided on a kebab take out. Found Ephesus Grill on the local Google search. The Ephesus mixed kebab was delicious and generous portion. The lentil soup is well worth a try. Fairy priced and the staff was very friendly.

Decent turkish food and great prices definitely recommend this place! I had a halloumi pitta kebab and it was perfect :)

Delicious food, portions so big and fantastic tasty.

We'd been out for a few at the Nags Head that evening and walked home via Whitley. Its hard to walk straight past a kebab shop at midnight after too much beer so we didn't. Just bought one extra large lamb kebab to share at home. Despite the hour the staff were very friendly and quick to cook our food. And it was good; succulent lamb and crisp salad in pitta bread. Recommended.

Arrieved lateisch a bit drunk with an order for me and for my partner. The guy was great, very patiently asking me about what my partner would like and what I'd like. My partner got (almost) perfectly what he wanted and the almost is because of me, not the service. Food was absolutely delicious! Thank you for your patience and the best result out of that!

I ordered a donner meat and chips with mint on one half and garlic mayo on the other with cucumber and lettuce across the lot. Also ordered mozzarella sticks and halloumi. PERFECT 👌 THE WHOLE ORDER! Glad my friend recommended these guys, spot on, very good 👍

A friend had suggested to try this place and I am very glad to have done it. I ordered a chicken meal donner and it was delicious.

This is the best kebab I had in the UK for the past decade. Cleaning needs to improve slightly but food is just delicious!

Getting overcharged not good might aswell go elsewhere

We always use Efes. We usually get our order delivered and we have come to trust the staff from top to bottom who are always polite and helpful.

First time never again Not impressed 9.50 for chips and doner weird taste chips doner meat cut age’s ago put in a hot tin to build up the nice fat then served will not be coming back especially at them prices for Doner meat chips and a drink 9.50 rip off going to van on basingstoke Road two kebabs chips two drinks 10.50 good luck Ephesus your going to need it if you lose customers that quickly

Fresh, authentic and very genuine Turkish kebabs. They also have local Turkish dishes on the menu. We went there by coincidence after an evening spent in reading and we loved it.

The food it self was ok , the lamb shish kebab I had was a bit to much burned for my likening but at the end I did enjoy it :). It would be nice to have some plastic / wooden cutlery there as well for takeaway . Overall nice place, good food and friendly atmosphere ;)

Best kebab shop in Reading 100%

Very tasty, very fresh, priced reasonably for portions and high standard of food and service. 2 big men ate like Kings and had take away boxes by the end of the night. Went for the special mixed grills and wings. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent kebabs. Staff who obviously care about the quality of the food they are serving! I have had a few kebabs in and around Reading and this is by far the best. Top quality thick meat generous servings and beautiful fresh salads. I won't use anyone else now despite the drive. Well done l Ephesus 👏
