Only a handful of customers in, but still took 25 minutes to take our order. The nicest thing about the meal was the bread we had for starters. The meat was very dry, and burnt. I think it was reheated, and the salad was very depressed

Went in at 11:30 only to be told they aren’t open, and when we asked about why it says it’s open the rude guy at the service counter said “well we aren’t ready” and waved his hands in my face. Horrible people, feel like we dodged a bullet after reading the other reviews.

Very lovely and gorgeous place. The atmosphere is so soothing. The food however is average. Could have done with a bit more spice to make it tastier. I have been to couple of Turkish places with tastier meals. The dessert however was amazing! Overall experience was good.

The whole place is so clean, modern with friendly staff. Delicious, authentic Turkish dishes right here in Derby. Definitely would be coming here again.

Recently I’ve been in this restaurant with my family, and the waitress was rude. He used my knife to open a bottle of beer and I’ve asked him to change it, then he just threw utensils on my table, bring me my dessert and put it on a plate which I’ve been eating from (it was dirty). The chiefs piled the rice with their bare hands, which doesn’t comply with hygiene standards. The waitress name is Kevin (I’ve asked his name on a reception), and I hope my review will help to improve quality of the service.

Brilliant food and a very nice restaurant. Ordering as a takeaway doesn't do this place justice so I would recommend it as somewhere to visit to eat in house instead of somewhere to takeaway from or to order as a delivery.

Rahul, the manager was very good at organizing a party for 40 people. The amount of food served was just the right amount and was very delicious.

We had a party of 40 people to celebrate our local charity work over Christmas and treat the volunteers to a meal together. Everything was perfect ! This has become our favourite place after many years of trying Resteraunt's for our New Year celebration meal, the quality of the food and resteraunt is exceptional and we are very grateful. To round it all of Rahul and the team took care of us beyond our expectations as they seem to do with everyone, I highly advise this place and look forward to more visits soon or just the highest quality and reasonably take away food in the whole of Derbyshire. I recently dined at the restaurant. The food, service and ambience are excellent.

Come back to edit a previous review. The restaurant is great for a small party, and we never complain when it’s just the 2 of us and manager is there . HOWEVER , Unfortunately after having booked a birthday booking for my partner with the manager months ago when it came to the actual day, manager was not there and it really showed in the customer service sadly. We introduced family to this restaurant from out of derby who had never been, 2 orders never arrived which resulted In one person not getting any food whilst the rest of the table ate. We had servers lie about this and say food was coming but it was clearly forgotten about and the ordering process for a larger table appears to be disorganised and more chaotic.( I will say one of the waiters did eventually compensate by providing the missing meal as a takeaway at the end but for a first impression it was disappointing when they’ve spent the evening watching everyone else eat without their own food). Some of the staff, the lady who mainly worked by the bar appeared to not want to help when asked about the missing food and was more interested in dismissing and saying it was coming rather than listening to the concern which was not pleasant. This was a surprise booking for the birthday boy but on arrival being told “youre late” did make him annoyed for his own birthday meal so would advice staff to not greet customers in that way. Usually myself and my partner really love this place but after booking a large table on a night when the manager is not there overseeing, unfortunately it did show a slip in standards which was sadly disappointing. The food which did arrive however was really nice so we are hoping this was a one off occurrence

Very delicious food! Always nice staff! The minus is that I’m visiting this place often and started be bored with the same menu. Would be great if you have some seasonal menu too! Possibly some pasta? Other soups? Also the free starter should include soup in my opinion.

Went yesterday for our Christmas party, the food was good but DONT order their baklava. I informed the mangaer that their baklava is dry, and he admitter that they bought their baklava from outside, its not worth paying £6.25 just for a slice of baklava. Totally disappointed as I know turkish baklava is good. After we had our exchange gifts, the manager came to our table and started talking then WITHOUT asking permission, He took one of the gift bag and took the gift from inside and started saying that “why this is your gift, its saying a message that the person received it should take a shower” Totally UNACCEPTABLE!! He thinks its funny but it is DISRESPECTFUL! Its NOT right to touch other people’s beloning without asking permission!

Visited the other day with the family. Staff are very welcoming, Food and presentation was amazing. It’s my second time visiting and I was impressed. A big restaurant with balcony which is cute for couples. The manager is funny and made sure we all had a good time. I’d definitely be returning again! It’s my favourite spot for Turkish Food in Derby. Also parking available in the car park across the road and also side streets :)

We ate here on a Friday night and what a delight! We were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome. Chose where we wanted to sit and instantly loved the atmosphere — everyone eating, drinking and having a lovely evening. We discovered the place didn’t sell alcoholic drinks (although hot & cold non alcoholic drinks were available) but there was a shop downstairs from the main restaurant that sold a variety of different beers from all over the world! You could purchase these and bring them up with you to drink with your meal — a really good idea in my opinion! The food was next level. Hot, fresh, tasty. We ordered vine leaves to start which were delicious and full of flavour. The hummus, yoghurt dip, couscous were all wonderful too. The main star of the show was the mixed meat platter for 2 which had absolutely everything you could want and more — chicken wings, lamb chops, chicken kebab, lamb kebab, doner meat, grilled vegetables (watch out for the pepper: it’s HOT) and served with grains. we also had a side of bread which was so good I could have eaten the entire basket. the meat had a really lovely chargrilled flavour and was tender, moist and very moreish. We had the Turkish tea to finish off which was warming and very flavourful! A few people were celebrating their birthdays, and the way the staff sang and clapped and got everyone involved was a really fun touch and created a lively atmosphere. This is the best place we ate in Derby all weekend and I’m definitely going to be back again before long!

Very bad experience staff was very rude they didn't know how to take order and how to talk to the customer we returned the few items which was not freshly cooked we ordered something else and they tried to over charge me and when I ask them why you charge me extra then they didn't admit their fault and Boss came to me and startedswearing at me and my wife and my daughter we came all the way from LONDON. I would never recommend anyone to go there 😔 😪 🙃. My original bill was £48.80 Firstly they tried to charge me £94.00 When I noticed about Dessert then they change thier bill £80.80 after that I ask them again about wrong bill then after long argument they corrected the bill. They are trying to Rob the customer very smartly.

Rahul was very professional, friendly, helpful. Always aims to please, and the food is fresh, the apple and turkish tea was refreshing and delicious.

Absolutely loved it .Food was amazing super delicious Juicy tender meat , well presented full of flavour. My friends loved it ,will come back again with family. Seen lots of people celebrating their birthday in restaurant and feel happy to see them celebrating. Atmosphere is amazingly its not all about the fool only they make the occasion special. Service is absolutely fantastic. Look after your needs. The outlook of resturant is great. Highly recommend for families and occasions. Parking is bit of issue asexpected its on the main Normanton Road. Will come back again to refresh our memories, and will enjoy testy food once again.

Excellent service Nawa - the Maître d (master of the house) made us feel very welcome , all staff we came into contact with provided a fantastic service “with a smile”.We have dined here several times before and we will definitely go back again. Food was delicious, Nawa recommended the Kunefe dessert it was delightful.

It has been a disappointing night tonight at this restaurant that we used to love. Tonight, we waited almost TWO HOURS long for our food, if we did not chase our order, we wouldn’t have been served any food at all. The manager reassured us that our food is now being prepared and coming in “4 minutes” but it appears that there is no sign of it being made at all until we called their attention again (with so much effort, waving my arms as high as I can to grab their attention). The manager told us that he will chase this but we waited further 20 minutes after he “chased” this after being told that it will be there in 4 minutes. We were so hungry and getting fed up at this point. We were also ignored by waiters and we weren’t given anything other than the sauces and our drinks while we wait. It was a busy night but we weren’t prepared to wait almost 2 hours for our food. I’m not exaggerating, we arrived at 20:00 for our reservation, ordered food straight away and our food arrived 21:28 to be exact. Our drinks are finished at this point and we weren’t offered any drinks when they can obviously see our glasses empty. They were also rushing after dumping our order on our table. Did not even ask us if everything’s okay or is there anything else we’d like. Other nearby tables are also getting fed up and inpatient due to waiting so long for their order. Some waiters/waitress not being attentive and some are chatting and laughing behind the bar. When we were about to pay, to be fair with the manager he offered for us to have some complementary tea and apologised for a bad night but we just want to go home at that point as it was late. He was the only one rushing on his feet and the rest of his staff are letting him down. We got presented 2 receipt and the cashier was sounding rude when she asked “so which of those did you actually order?!” She keeps reading out the food we did not order and got my brother to recall all our orders only to find out she has a record of it in her till anyway. The food tasted nice but definitely looked rushed and looks like a chaos on a plate. I probably won’t eat here for a while and most probably not on a weekend. I don’t know that the situation is behind the restaurant but it was not a pleasant experience for us from a restaurant that we used to really enjoy. I feel that the staff/manager could've atleast warned that we will be waiting for a while due to being too busy then atleast it gave us a chance to decide or maybe offered some drinks while we wait.

Rubbish service I’ve ever experienced ever. We had to wait for 2 hours for our food. Even takeaways never ever take that long. We literally bought bananas from the grocery shop downstairs. We’re that hungry and desperate. Staff looks like headless chickens, rude and doesn’t care for the welfare of the customers. The manager also can’t handle the situation properly. Ruined our family night. Very disappointing and super bad service.

Beautiful place delicious food and service, today came with my family and from the start to the end we feel very welcome and had the most delicious sharing plate and starters, big portions. Also administrator of the restaurant was very friendly offered tea on the house and ice cream for free, this is ours 3rd visit and is top service ! Recommended to visit

5 stars for everything. Can't go wrong. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, it was already so lively and full of energy. But the place was also packed, fortunately the staff were able to clear up tables for us, within 2 minutes. The food was simply amazing, absolutely nothing wrong with it. Tasted amazing, looked amazing. All the staff were very accommodating and so kind. A special shoutout to Nawa. He was the life of the restaurant. He gave the energy, the place wouldn't be the same without him Definitely coming back

Over hyped and greeted by crackheads, built by dodgy fag money, can pay for lavish decor but not a proper bin area, no flavour and you never see anyone from turkey in there thats how good the food is.

Went there with family for a meal, i really enjoyed the experience. We had lamb shish and chicken shish and chicken wings , taste was really nice I would recommend. Atmosphere was welcoming. Service was helpful and the waitress was nice and sweet. Will be back again soon

Great owner and amazing atmosphere, well looked after for a 70th birthday for my dad. The team have a relaxed ethos to support each group ans really pull the stops our for celebrations. No rush to leave the table. Big up to Dillon and the other waiter and fro of house staff. The manager especially have a great presence and his team have the same hard working and very accommodating.

I was here for my friend’s birthday and the whole service was perfect. We all enjoyed the meal as they were so tasty. We had a lot to eat and drink. I used to be a regular visitor but my recent experiences at this restaurant have been disappointing since the management change. I've dined there twice recently, and both times, the food quality was very poor. On my last visit, I ordered the platter for two, and I must say, the meat wasn't fresh at all. Unfortunately, both my dining companion and I ended up with upset stomachs after eating it. It's a shame to see the decline in food quality at a place I once enjoyed.

Really good atmosphere with large capacity able to cater for our big group of 22 people. The service was bespoke and catered for us. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any type of occasion, the food was delicious especially the kanafeh.
