This place is great, superb food, plenty of veggie options and good wine. Good atmosphere and service. One thing I would say is that our bill ended up coming to nearly £700 for a group of 9 of us, I asked if we could have a limoncello or aperitif at the end of the meal but they said they couldn’t do this for free. Only some of the table were drinking and I think this small gesture would have gone a long way seeing how much we spent and how often some of the group goes to the restaurant. I appreciate margins are thin and they offered tea of coffee instead but this was a little disappointing.

I’m shocked to discover that this place has been open on my doorstep for a quarter of a century and I’ve only just discovered it. The important bit: you won’t find a better steak at a better price. Or a better steak full stop. Hamid and Sirous (manager and proprietor) can advise you what to order. I’ve forgotten our starters (they were good) because the steak is the story. The côte de boeuf we shared was cooked to perfection and large enough to satisfy three healthy appetites coming as it did with salad and fries. Another thing: the wine list. No wine was over £35. The excellent Côtes du Rhône that we had was only £30, a price that justified a second bottle. The dessert menu is limited but that doesn’t matter as diners are unlikely to have any appetite left after the steak. Service was superb. An excellent experience in every way.

We wandered around Battersea Power Station and went here for some lunch. The setting was great, quick service, friendly staff and food was delicious. I live in Spain and now Tapas well and these were great. Only negative I would say is it was a bit pricey but I guess you pay for the excellent location. Really recommend visiting.

We were driving through East Grinstead and needed a dog friendly place to eat. CJ's came up and we decided to give it a ago. The staff, especially the woman behind the bar was so kind and accommodating. We had two dog and a push chair with a 10 month old. She suggested the perfect table with lots of space and they gave us a booster seat which attaches to the stool, as well as loads of dog treats for our pooches. We ordered the Club Sandwich and BLT's and were all really happy with our food and drinks. Would definitely go again.

The latte's are to die for, especially when prepared by Liz. The glamorous and charismatic bar managers are highly personable, but still mange to operate the bar with military proficiency. Olivia will one day be canonised as the patron saint of bar tending. If everyone in the world were more like Tristan there would be no need for heaven, because we'd already be there. However, the door stop does need upgrading.

I visited for Christmas drinks with my family, to be greeted by a blonde waitress named Leah She was rude and shushed my husband who was asking a question. Spent most of her time on her phone, there was a lipstick mark on my glass and when I told her this she rolled her eyes and snatched it off the table, taking 20 minutes to come back with a replacement. Never had a problem with this place before it’s a family favourite of ours but certainly will not be coming back again. Try employing older staff with experience in the hospitality industry rather than ignorant rude teenage girls then maybe you will not lose customers!

Experiencia realmente decepcionante.

Nice courtyard with potential to be a great venue - but - we had to wave/call and ask for service each time we wanted to order/get a drink, were only told menu items were not available once we had placed the order (for both food and beverages), had an unenthusiastic waitress and who literally side wristed our bread basket at our table (the bread of which was rock hard) as she passed. We also had to ask for knives and forks once our food had arrived. No salt & pepper etc was on the table or offered. We were very disappointed with our experience.
