Tapas Brindisa Battersea in Wandsworth

We wandered around Battersea Power Station and went here for some lunch. The setting was great, quick service, friendly staff and food was delicious. I live in Spain and now Tapas well and these were great. Only negative I would say is it was a bit pricey but I guess you pay for the excellent location. Really recommend visiting.

High quality tapas served in style beside the river and Battersea Power Station. We were knocked out by the authenticity of each dish. Delicious prawns, real (not potato) croquetas, fresh sardines and baked cheese with honey. All were excellent and lovely staff. Highly recommended

This is one of the best of the Brindisas, not least for the breadth of its menu and its spectacular location, a throw of a tortilla from the landing stage for Uber boats at Battersea Power Station. It even has a river terrace. Inside there are banquette seats the length of a long narrow space adjacent to a bar. I was part of a group of four enjoying the likes of two different varieties of croquettes, salt cod, belly pork slices albeit the highlights were goat’s cheese and beetroot salad and a large squid ink rice with giant prawns. Service was polite and efficient on a busy Sunday afternoon.

It’s vey difficult, almost impossible, to find good Spanish food in London. But this place certainly delivers and is comparable to a good restaurant you would find in Spain. Our family rated the food a 5 and we would definitely go back. It’s a little pricey but then this is London and an expensive location at that, so it’s to be expected. The service was good, courteous and quick.

Decided on some late afternoon Tapas after a trip round and up the power station with my son for his birthday. Because of the timiing the restaurant was quiet but the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was different and delicious ! The waitress overheard my toast to my son for his birthday and presented a complimentary cheesecake with a candle before we left .. Excellent service, thank you!

First time to see the Battersea Power Station all done up. Friends had arranged a light dinner and drinks, not seen all of them for a couple of years, so very excited. The staff were fine, didn’t leave us too long before drinks arrived. We did order some small plates, really to mop up the booze rather than anything else. The salami was really good and nice sangria. Pricey evening but I expected it to be.

Loved the food and atmosphere but really unhappy about having to change table after an hour and 15 minutes. Apparently we’d out stayed our welcome and they had a large party coming and needed the table. We politely objected and were told that the table reservation was a maximum of 2 hours, when we pointed out the we had only been at the table (we arrived 5 minutes before our reservation) for an hour and fifteen we were told the host had said we had to move table. We moved and finished our evening, our previous table was moved to make a larger table and 20 minutes later the large party arrived. The restaurant was really busy and clearly they don’t need to keep the clients happy and can just mess them around. Luckily this was just a casual evening out but I would have been really upset if it was a special occasion and had been treat in this way.

Absolutely loved this place. The food brought us back to Spain and Juanito our waiter made sure we had the best experience. Thank you!

The food was delicious and the service fantastic. We had the pork dishes and a few of the veggie ones too. Wine was wonderful. Our friend was gluten free and they had a chart of every single dish with food allergy information, very impressive. Can't wait to go back

A vibrant and bustling tapas restaurant in the shadow of Battersea power station - we really loved the food, most especially the beetroot dish which was amazing. Our waitress Cerian performed so well under such pressure, as it was clear to us that overall the restaurant was short staffed and she was overworked. Once we ordered (and it did take a little while for anyone to take our orders) the food and drinks came very quickly. We declined the ‘discretionary’ service charge which is set at a whopping 13.5%, preferring instead to leave a cash tip. A smart move it turns out, as when we enquired we learnt that the service charge is paid to a third party company, that the staff are paid minimum wage and that their earnings are then topped up from the discretionary service charge to yield an hourly rate - income tax is then paid on the whole. And despite this rather grubby arrangement - I naively thought that the staff in this expensive upmarket tapas bar were being paid above minimum and ‘tips’ were a little extra on top - still Cerian was performing with a lovely manner and a smile on her face.

Closed early. Expensive and not very tasty. Far from the typical Spanish traditional food I used to eat. The staff is fine. The only good point.

Visited on Boxing Day whilst visiting London and after a few hours shopping at the power station. They were really helpful and accommodating which is always appreciated when dining with a toddler. Offered us a table straight away with no booking, grabbed us a highchair and colouring for the little one so he was entertained. The food was delicious, prawns especially were fab and we loved the Spanish tortilla. Patatas bravas also rivalled some of our favourites in Spain. We visit the area regularly and will definitely be returning. Cava sangria also delicious. Thank you for the hospitality !

We went her for a birthday meal. Food was mixed really. Prawns and the bread were very good, the pork belly was just fat and tortilla swimming in oil. Waitress got the order wrong. £7.50 a pint with a 13.5% service charge.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere especially before Christmas - our waiter, Dan, treated us with with the most amazing energy and service. Would highly recommend.

Not great, restaurant was not at capacity however service was slow and waitress was dismissive and unhelpful. Realised later that we were overcharged on our bill. We had sharing platters and a mix of tapas. The sharing platters are very small and not really suitable for more than two people. Kids meals had grit in the salad. Overall, Considering the price and large choice of alternative restaurants around Battersea we were extremely disappointed.

As usual, the food is fantastic. However, with the addition of a menu for your four-legged companion, it couldn’t be a better afternoon out. Chicken and rice! One very happy cockapoo . All washed down with dog beer (chicken stock). All complimentary with a dog blanket as well.

I wrote to Brindisa complaining about poor service on a recent visit to their Richmond branch. They called me directly, took my criticism on board, and promised an enjoyable next visit. Last Sunday we had a late lunch in Battersea, and both food and service were first class. Not to forget the fabulous wine, for which I was not charged as compensation for my previous Brindisa meal. Can’t say fairer than that. I will return.
