Love this place. But food was awful. What's gone wrong here. Used to be lovely. Uneditable food. No flavour undercooked

this restaurant was fantastic once but my god this has hit rock bottom decussating food we could not eat any of the dishes potatoes were old reheated tough pawns and way over priced for this place please get someone that can cook may well help but will never return I was told before I went that is terrible but now I know

We went along on Sunday, for an early dinner and the food was lovely, as were the staff. Menu is smaller than usual, but really enjoyable.

Lovely food as usual. We had the delicious cauliflower special with jewels of red pepper which had been recommended and didn’t disappoint, followed by churros con chocolate - weekend treat. We love coming here - the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Definitely our favourite place to eat in Walthamstow.

Not ok at all. I have visited this restaurant a couple of times previously and the food was delicious. Our meal last night was maybe the worst tapas I have eaten. The garlic mushrooms arrived swimming in mushroom water, patatas bravas tasted uncooked and the sauce was flavourless, we sent the chorizo back to the kitchen because their first attempt at cooking was inedible. We left most of the food…such a waste. A positive was that the waitresses were friendly.

This was a very disappointing experience. The food was one of the worst Tapas meals we have ever eaten. The Patatas Bravas were un cooked. The Chorizo we actually sent back as it was cold and not cooked. The mushrooms were cold, bland and lacking any flavour or spices. The Tortilla was stale. We paid the 50 pounds and left most of the food un touched on the table. What was even more disappointing and frankly bizarre was the fact that that nobody even commented or asked about why we had not eaten any of the food. Terrible customer service and lack of awareness. We will not be returning.

Very bland, no spices and putting food on a small plates doesn't constitute it to be called tapas . Calamari no taste your local fish and chips would do better , chicken just grilled no spices , aioli tasted just like mayo ... only plus point. Sangria was good

Fabulous tapas in a neighbourhood restaurant. Lovely and unusual wines from Spain, with great recommendations from manager. Food was all freshly made and very tasty, especially good croquetas de bacalao and a chorizo dish with lentils -- great vegetarian choices too. We sat in the covered garden, and we were even offered fleece wraps when it got a bit chilly. Highly recommended.

5/5 service was warm and friendly. Tasty food and decent portions. Would be nice to come just for a glass of wine and olives or for a feast.

Nice welcome . Given a choice as to where to sit, so we had a nice table. Food choice excellent especially the cod . We had a mixture of tapas ,meat, fish etc. The tomato salad was great with different colour and types. Wine very good and a reasonable price. Well worth a visit. It was not too busy early on a Monday night at around 6pm.

There are limited options in Walthamstow for a decent brunch but recently I tried the new brunch menu at Orford Tapas and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I'm a big fan of Spanish food and Orford Tapas was authentic, tasty and well priced.

Back in the area to do some work and couldn't resist a visit to this amazing Tapas Bar. Tonight's menu was Potatas Bravas, albondigas, mushrooms in garlic, Calamares and the final piece of the jigsaw Croquettes. All cooked beautifully and piping hot. A friend took me here for dinner. It’s really lovely and the decor makes you think you’re in Spain. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the service was good. I'm writing this review in the hope that the management take note and the food in one of our favourite local London restaurants returns to former glory.Having lived in Walthamstow and been frequent customers at the Orford Saloon for many years, we moved away in 2018 but decided to return to our favourite tapas restaurant tonight, but we were sadly disappointed. The menu hasn't changed significantly since we were last there, but the kitchen staff have. All dishes were under-seasoned, the patatas bravas cold in the middle; the white beans and the mushrooms bland apart from the massive amount of barely cooked garlic. My favourite dish, the Canarian chicken was equally poor with no evidence of the delicious smokey/sweet marinade that made it my favourite. We had to send back the mushroom and beans and didn't finish the potatoes, nor the chicken.Maybe this was just a bad night but for four dishes to come out all well below average suggests that something is very wrong and whoever is in charge of the kitchen doesn't understand flavour.Fingers crossed that on our next visit, normal service will have resumed.

While the service was really good, I found the tapas to be very average. No taste in the food and very bland. Which was unfortunate because the atmosphere, service and place was really nice.

A party of four we managed to eat through much of the menu. There was not one dish that disappointed. Highlights were the battered squid and white fish. The aubergine with honey and lamb cutlets.There is something here for everyone well executed and served by efficient and pleasant waiting staff.

We booked a room in the Orford Tapas for an early supper for 39 people to celebrate our son's birthday. We had a lovely evening. The food was delicious, lots of variation of flavours, colours and textures, the house wines went well with the food but it was the really efficient and very friendly staff really made it a very special evening. We had over ordered but they gave us little food boxes so we could share out the left overs amongst us so some will have enjoyed a fabulous lunch the next day. A big thank you to all of the team. We look forward to coming back.

The atmosfere and beers are very good ,the appearance of tapas are good too ,the service is too quick and seem they want you to finish your dinner fast and go away. Back on the quality of the fish : Prawns were not fresh at all ,light smell of ammonia ,than we try of tapas from the special menu , the fish were not well cooked ,look rose and cold in the middle.Sorry to say that this is what we didn't expect.

Went to the Orford Saloon with family on our recent trip to the UK. The food was fantastic and the service was good too. It was a lovely sunny day and we sat outside. The whole little street was charming. Cannot recommend this lovely eatery enough.

I decided to have lunch at the Orford Saloon, having walked passed many times but always opted for somewhere else.

Muy decepcionante. . . Los langostinos al pil pil lo miraban y sabían como si estuvieran cocinados en agua. El ajo no estaba frito, era incoloro y duro. Había el más mínimo rastro de chile dentro del plato. Por pequeño quiero decir menos que la punta de un chile. Fue bastante inútil ordenar el pan para acompañarlo. Los pimientos de padrón estaban bien. Las Lentjas con chorizo no tenían sabor. El plato parecía no tener condimento. El chorizo era bastante pobre, pequeño y casi inútil. Las croqutas de pollo estaban tibias con muy poco sabor. Nada era demasiado caliente en temperatura. Después de irme tuve que entrar a Spar un par de puertas más abajo para conseguir algo sabroso para comer.

The food at the Orford Saloon is always beautiful. I am veggie and there is loads of choice. It is well made and reasonably priced. There is also an excellent wine/drinks menu. The service is a little patchy, especially on the weekend when it can sometimes be hard to get the attention of a server, but that is not always the case. Lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend. Must book for Fridays and Saturdays.

Excellent food, all very tasty and tapas-sy: mussels, fried eggplant, chicken and pork skewers, seafood and chlcken paella -- the list goes on and on. And on!! Pick a dish each, relish it, order extra bread for mopping up the sauces. What a feast

Managed to get a table without booking at this great local eatery intending to have a light lunch which we did, but I could have stayed here all afternoon and carried on ordering! The charcuterie and cheese plate were very good, as was the tomato bread - nice and garlicky. I enjoyed the ham croquettes and the tomato and onion salad - nice that olive oil and balsamic were already on the table. The menu is very appealing and I could have ordered any number of items! Puddings were not quite so good - the rice in the rice pudding a little too al dente, and the chocolate mousse a bit floury. However, would definitely eat here again, and have more of the savoury selection!

I arrived there just before 10pm and was told that we had to order in the next 10mins on a Friday night !! ....... Food wasn't up to the standard I expected, Garlic Chickhen was just in a bowl of oil, could not taste the garlic I have been to this restauant when first open and the food was fantastic

Want to celebrate a significant Birthday with 15 friends, then this is the place to come. The staff are super-friendly and the food is super-delicious. A friendly authentic tapas bar/restaurant serving a wonderful selection of hot and cold tapas accompanied by a great range of wines and sherries. Fue un gran comienzo en Orford Saloon Tapas Bar. Una cálida bienvenida y un gran ambiente. El vino era fantástico. Y los precios muy razonables. Sin embargo, la decepción fue la comida. Todo estaba bien. Todo sale junto y muy rápido ya que todo está precocinado, se puede ver en la cocina.

Este lugar es muy local para mí y era un lugar regular para comprar un gran sándwich un domingo por la mañana. La última vez que visité para comprar un sándwich de este tipo, me saludaron comprando a un hombre detrás del mostrador que me explicó que no podía molestarse en hacer comida para mí, ya que tenía gente afuera esperando un café y tenía que realizar otras tareas antes. Podría justificar su atención. Todo esto tomaría demasiado tiempo para que él incluso considere cortar un poco de mermelada y queso.

Dit tapasrestaurant is zeker niet slecht, maar misschien is Engeland gewoon niet de aangewezen plaats om tapas te eten. Prijs-kwaliteit was dit gewoon geen goede deal. Ga dan liever een goeie pie of fish & chips eten in de lokale pub. Je kan hier zeker lekkere dingen eten, maar wij hadden met 4 mensen samen een kleine 10 gerechtjes besteld en de meeste waren maar zozo. Ander en beter!

A friend told me about this restaurant and so on Sunday I decided to book this and meet up with some friends for brunch. It is right in the heart of Walthamstow Village, It's about half a mile from Walthamstow Central Tube Station so maybe a 10 minute walk. I didn't try the paella because that took some time to make but the selection of dishes we had was excellent. The food was truly great (bar the prawns which were smothered in a thick garlic paste) and the service was also good. Highly recommended.

Having lived in Walthamstow for three years, I'm just sad it took me so long to discover this Spanish gem. There is a good choice of tapas (or paella, if you're really hungry!), the staff are friendly and provide great service and the atmosphere is very relaxed and calm. We had a selection of tapas, chilled cava and of course we had to have desserts too. There's a lovely patio at the back and a deli, so if you want to take things to tray at home, you can.

Booked a large table for my birthday celebration. The food was excellent and everyone in the party commented that every dish was delicious. Service was excellent and so friendly. We ordered 2 paella’s which are cooked to order - well worth the wait. One of my friends bought a birthday cake with them and the restaurant happily looked after the cake and bought it to the table as a surprise . We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and thought it was phenomenal value for money. Some of the best tapas we have had anywhere in London
