The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Spanish food

Wanted to try this place since it opened its first time. So second time round finally got to try it. Went on a Thursday. Was 1 of only 2 tables dining. Place was extremely cold and had to keep coat on think that was due to lack of people being inside. Service was great and really was all you could eat. The waiter kept asking if we wanted more. The food was generally good however quality on some dishes could of been better. Dining is mostly up some steep stairs so access could be an issue. Lots of local parking. I would come back but on a weekend when more people to improve atmosphere and hopefully make the place warmer. Lots of options on the menue and a great price.

Very friendly welcome, staff were great throughout our meal. We all chose 2 plates each which with the bread was plenty Cannot fault the food, excellent. The wine we chose was good too, as were the sherries some of us had. Personally I thought it a trifle expensive for my budget, pity as I would love to return.

Well, so far not great because I can't even get a table booked! Called at 10:45am to book a table for 2, I was hung up on as soon as I said that. Tried to call back, went straight to voice mail. Called a few minutes later and the call was hung up again after a couple of seconds of silence (restaurant background noise could be heard). Oh well, I guess you don't even want customers in the door!

Three of us had the lunch h time offer at £18 each. One bottle of water I lemonade and I e put it beer was charged £86 . Think I was charged individually not charged for the offer. Make sure you check your bill.

Este lugar se sentía muy apretado, no muy personal y una prisa por levantarse y salir. Reservé una mesa para sentarse a comer y disfrutar de todo lo que tenía para ofrecer, pero en su lugar se colocó básicamente en una mesa en el pasillo entre el bar y sentarse restaurante con gente sin parar caminando y sin moverse para que nos metiéramos en nuestras sillas. Entiendo que era un lugar muy ocupado y estoy seguro de que el personal está probablemente sobrecargado de trabajo, pero desafortunadamente para nosotros, no hizo la experiencia agradable y podría decir que era mejor si nos fuimos. La estrella del espectáculo es la comida. Soy vegano y solo había una Croqueta y dos opciones secundarias. Aceitunas y un plato de tomate. Olvidaron el plato de tomate, así que solo tuve estos dos. Ambos muy sabrosos y un sabor agradable. Mi compañera tenía las palomitas de chorizo Guiness que ella dijo que era encantador y una carne. Croqueta que dijo que estaba muy llena de sabor. Los cócteles son absolutamente dignos de probar debido a los sorprendentes sabores. Un buen lugar para una parada rápida para una bebida y un aperitivo, pero no una parada para hablar con la gente o su evento principal para la noche. Es probable que no vuelvas a menos que haya un gran cambio con más opciones en el menú.

We celebrated our grandsons 9th birthday at DA and it was superb. Looks very unassuming from the outside but once you enter it is pure España. We ordered various breads to to get us going whilst we awaited our tapas. We did order around 16 dishes between us and all were absolutely delicious so full credit to the chef 👏👏 Our waiter was spot on and looked after us very well. No negatives at all and hence no hesitation in recommending.

This is a great place to host any form of events you want, my friends and I planned a surprise baby shower for another of our friends and the staff at this place made sure we were really comfortable and that my friend enjoyed the experience. The food was on point and very delicious too. One particular staff called Mo or so did so well. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Hidden gem if you are looking for something unpretentious with an authentic Spanish rustic feel.

Very good food, tastefully decorated interior, and attentive staff. Interesting system in place for guests with allergies. Please notify us upon arrival, which allows access to a QR code that links to the online menu with filters to remove problematic dishes. I recommend it. Please note, however, that guests with mobility disabilities may not be able to use the restroom (stairs).

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. What else can I say. Lovely big restaurant, no need for booking. Four of us went for daughters birthday treat, could have done with a bigger table as we ordered so much! But it worked. Decor was beautiful. maître d was funny and great. Cannot wait to come back

Food was absolutely unbelievable tonight. Service has been fantastic, Alex served us incredibly well and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Thank you so much for making this random Saturday a special evening!

Food is pretty good, but portions are small. I could easy eat 2 portions of mains and I'm a thin modelesque build. Drink are also expensive. Service is pushy. They didn't prepare for our reservation and our table didn't accommodate for the size of our party.

Lovely meal. We booked a table in advance, 2pm on a Saturday, pleased we did it was very busy. We were taken upstairs where it was really pleasant, very smart with a lovely calm atmosphere. There are great venue of Grey Street in Newcastle and the Theatre Royal. Our garlic bread was literally 2 mins behind the mains and they knocked it off the bill without us asking. Very friendly and attentive service. Definitely go back
